    Queuing problems in social life are common events encountered in everyday life. Waiting in front of the booth to get the service and this situation is a common occurrence. Along with the growth of the community's view of the Universitas Bunda Mulia, the queuing problem is an interesting problem for research.Object research of writer is located at Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) Universitas Bunda Mulia. The research objective is determine an effective service system, which should be applied at the Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) Universitas Bunda Mulia, so the services which provide by staff Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) to student can become more leverage. The method is using a computer simulation, the use of computer simulation in the system design solution has an advantage, which can provide low cost and can compare the original system with the new system. Simulation results showed the model 1 can serve student as much as 81 people, and the average service time each student is 5.76 minutes, whereas the model 2 can serve as many as 82 people, and the average service time each is 5.88 minutes, after the simulations are made and based on observation during the writer’s research at Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) Universitas Bunda Mulia, it can be concluded that the suitable model which can be applied at Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) Universitas Bunda Mulia is model 2, because with model 2 student can gain more leverage service from staff at Layanan Administrasi Mahasiswa (LAM) Universitas Bunda Mulia, student will be served in accordance with their arrival time and with model 2 student will more discipline to obtain services

    Contractors’ cost estimation has a very important effect in every company’s performance which will be needed in fulfilling every customer’s needs. Nevertheless, in order to minimize the inaccuracy between the estimated cost and actual performance, it will be better to accommodate the economic condition in terms of estimating. In all the developing countries such as in Indonesia, the economic condition is most likely to be unstable thus it will be influence to the accuracy of estimation. The purpose of this research is to find all the indicator economic variables which had been influenced so the project is able to be optimized. The result shows that money currency has a strong impact.     Transportation cost analysis appears in a number of design in various fields such as network supplies, communications networks, and variety of other fields which have the principle of transferring the object from one place to another place. This transportation cost analysis can be used as indicators or benchmarks to measure whether the usual method of delivery of goods made by certain parties were optimal or not. Application of the method of transportation cost analysis in this study is to combine several tools or methods of solving the transportation problem, which consists of the methods of the North West Corner (NWC), Stepping Stone (SS), Vogel Approximation Method (VAM).     Studi Kebijakan Pengembangan Produksi Biodiesel (Jarak Pagar) sebagai Bahan Bakar Alternatif di Sektor Industri dengan Menggunakan Sistem Dinamis

    This research has three objectives. The first objective is to develop a model of system dynamics of the production development of biodiesel as an alternative transportation energy source. The model is based on the National Model which was developed by Forrester. The second objective is to analyze the behavior of the model by using the policy instruments (depletion premium, loan interest, clean energy rules and sulfur tax) that support the effectiveness of the biodiesel production as an alternative transportation energy source. The third objective is to design the policy that support the effectiveness of the same system. The model has eight sub system: the biodiesel demand sub system in the transportation sector; biodiesel, Crude Jatropha Oil (CJO) and Jatropha curcas production sub system; population sub system; price sub system; capital goods sub system; petroleum income sub system; financial sub system; and government sub system. The model is then simulated in five policy scenario designs. The five scenarios were the ethanol production policy in year 2006 (basic model); the depletion premium fund raising percentage scenario; petroleum reserve raising scenario; price declining and production enlargement scenario; loan interest declining scenario. From the five scenarios, the best two scenarios were the petroleum reserve raising scenario and the price declining and production enlargement scenario. These two selected scenarios were then joined into two alternatives of policy that supported the effectiveness of the biodiesel production as an alternative transportation energy source. The first policy was the optimistic policy joining scenario and the second one was the pessimistic policy joining scenario.Keywords: System Dynamic, Biodiesel, Optimistic Policy, Pessimistic Policy

    The development of sugar industries in Indonesia is influenced by the capability of increasing sugar productivity every year. This increasing is important to handle problem that happened. One of the solutions of the problem, such as sugar loss and inefficiency energy was application of the cleaner production. PG. Tersana Baru have been doing efforts to minimize fuel consumption in milling station. This research objective were to design a processing improvement in milling station through cleaner production approach strategy in reducing sugar loss and increasing energy (steam and fuel) uses efficiency and to build a dynamic model on the influence of imbibitions water to water content of bagasse and sucrose content in milling station at PT. PG. Rajawali II Unit PG. Tersana Baru, West Java. The results of this research indicated a potency for application of a cleaner production approach in PG. Tersana Baru based data collected during 2007 milling season, of which the optimum of imbibitions water was 22.64 %. That condition was achieved in the 8th period of production with fuel energy consumption of 298,466 kcals/ton sugar cane. At this condition, there was possibility for annual energy consumption to be reached by 227,418 kcal/ton sugar cane or equivalent to Rp 764,184,666,153.00. The addition of water imbibitions at the milling process in the dynamic system simulation model was carried out at the interval of 21.20 – 35%. The results in water contents of bagasse of 49.21 – 62.74% and its sucrose contents of 0 – 5.18%.Keywords: Cleaner Production Approach, Imbibitions Water, Efficiency Energy Consumption, Dynamic System Simulation Mode

There are many methods to make corporate decisions. At this time the lab, used five different methods of decision-making, such as decision tree method, Bayes methods, methods Comparison Matrix Exponential, Comparative Performance Index method, and the latter is the Delphi method. From the observations done in Karinda PT Kharisma, the main strategy is taken market development strategy.     The working conditions are not attention to comfort, satisfaction, safety and occupational health will certainly affect human physical workload. In design or redesign the workstation is should be considered the role and functions of the principal components of the system involved are human labor, machine/equipment, and physical work environment. The processing of betel nut through several steps. The step that requires a long time is the drying process, where the drying process using a clothesline with working conditions that do not attention to the principles of ergonomics and can lead to complaints of physical workload or musculoskeletal system. Results of the analysis that has been done can be seen that the working conditions after doing this design would be better than working conditions before the draft because the size of the clothesline was adjusted with anthropometry workers. The size of the design is the result of a high clothesline maximum betel 143.21 cm, 114.46 cm minimum height, the length of clothesline 135.92 cm and 122.98 cm wide.Keywords: Anthropometry, Workload, Ergonomics, Design

    McDonald's is one of the many brands of fast food restaurant franchise that stands in various cities in Indonesia. In the present study, researchers had implemented the method of work sampling to one of the workers in charge of maintaining a cashier at a McDonald's restaurant that stands in the Harapan Indah, Bekasi Barat. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of productivity, normal time and standard time of each element of the work of employees who served in the front line at the fast food restaurant. According to the results of the calculation and analysis of the data, the level of productivity of the worker at McDonald's cashier is 88.86%, followed by the normal time and standard time by 21.06 seconds and 23.4 seconds. This figure has been demonstrated that the level of productivity and the speed of service from a McDonald's cashier worker is good.Keywords: Work Sampling, Productivity, Normal Time, Standard Time

    The growth high education has been raising the competition in high education market and Data Warehouse can be used as an effective technology weapon for going to battle in high education competition market. Data Warehouse can produce the reliable reports for high level management on high education in short time in order to make the faster and best decision making for not just only increasing number of students, but possibility to find mining fund which have never thinking before limited by high education ordinance. The reports which produce by Data Warehouse are made based on database which summarization transaction database can be trusted and far from manipulation, different with old producing reports based on transaction database which need to be questioned and need time to produce, need manipulation for the result, cannot be trusted and could be have different results if differentiate to other systems. Data Warehouse will be modeled with dimension business concept and be created based on hypercube which produced based on high demand reports which usually used by high level management.
