Usulan Perbaikan Kualitas Proses Produksi Wafer Abon dengan Metode Six Sigma
This paper discusses a conducted research in the food industry with a variety of snack products such as bread, cream wafers, cookies, wafer sticks, chocolate, and dry cake. The company should always improve the quality of processes and products according to customer demands. Six Sigma method is expected to improve the quality of process and product in the company. Six Sigma is a quality system approach to be used in the industrialization function engaged in the manufacturing and services sectors. Generally, six sigma strategy utilizes DMAIC approach (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control). This research focused on product wafers abon, because it contributed a large number of defects. Moreover, this paper discusses two main processes:1. oven and cooling sheet process, 2. creaming and pressing process. The improvement is focused in the creaming and pressing process, because it presents 65% of defects. Based on the obtained data processing, COPQ for 1 month is Rp. 65,473,200, - and there are 3 priority CTQ’s in the issues, Pasta Tidak Rata (53.68%), Crashed Edge (16.29%), and Crack (16.12%). Results of capability process are 91.51% and sigma level of wafer abon product is 3.647628 sigma. An analysis has been done by brainstorming to find the cause of the defect and then arranged in a fishbone diagram and five why’s diagram. Proposed improvements including to create specification given standards for setup oven and creaming machine.Keyword: Quality Control, Six Sigma, DMAI
Analisa Penjadwalan Waktu dengan Metode Jalur Kritis dan PERT pada Proyek Pembangunan Ruko (Jl. Pasar Lama No. 20 Glodok)
Keterlambatan penyelesaian proyek merupakan masalah yang sering muncul dan berdampak pada keseluruhan pekerjaan proyek. Untuk mengantisipasi keterlambatan tersebut, maka dilakukan dengan beberapa alat pengendalian. Alat-alat yang digunakan adalah metode Jalur Kritis (Critical Path Method), PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Tecnique), Crashing Project dan Diagram Tulang Ikan. Metode Jalur Kritis dan PERT dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana jika proyek dilakukan pengendalian dengan kedua alat tersebut. Crashing project dilakukan untuk melihat besaran biaya jika kegiatan proyek mengalami keterlambatan serta dilakukan analisa faktor-faktor penyebab keterlambatan itu sendiri. Hasil dari Metode Jalur kritis dan PERT yaitu terdapat keterlambatan penyelesaian proyek. Hasil dari Crashing Project adalah berupa pertukaran waktu dan biaya serta terdapat faktor-faktor penyebab keterlambatan yang terdiri dari manusia, material, metode, mesin dan lingkungan. Penyelesaian proyek dengan Metode Jalur Kritis memakan waktu 196 hari kerja, penyelesaian dengan PERT juga diperoleh hasil yang sama yaitu 196 hari dengan probabilitas selesai sebesar 61%, serta probabilitas terselesaikan 99% jatuh pada hari ke-209. Pengolahan dengan Crashing Project terdapat pemangkasan durasi pekerjaan sebanyak 16 hari dengan peningkatan biaya sebesar Rp 20.260.000 , serta pengolahan dengan Diagram Tulang Ikan terdapat faktor penyebab keterlambatan terbesar adalah minimnya pengawasan dari pihak perusahaan.Keywords: Metode Jalur Kritis, PERT, Crashing Project, Diagram Tulang Ika
Optimisasi Overhaul-Pergantian Mesin Reparabel yang Dioperasikan pada Perioda Perencanaan Terbatas
Dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan model overhaul-penggantian optimal bagi mesin reparabel yang dioperasikan pada suatu perioda perencanaan terbatas, T, (T <). Mesin mengalami deteriorasi dan kerusakan mesin dapat diperbaiki menggunakan perbaikan minimum sehingga pasca perbaikan kinerja mesin tepat sama seperti sebelum kerusakan terjadi. Untuk mempertahankan kinerjanya dilakukan N kali evaluasi mesin selama perioda perencanaan T dengan interval tetap s, (s T N). Di setiap titik evaluasi terdapat tiga alternatif yang dipertimbangkan, yakni tetap mengoperasikan mesin hingga titik evaluasi berikutnya, melakukan overhaul, atau melakukan pengantian dengan mesin baru. Overhaul adalah kegiatan perbaikan yang meningkatkan kinerja mesin, meskipun tak sampai sebaik kinerja mesin baru. Persoalan keputusan overhaul-penggantian diformulasikan ke dalam pemrograman dinamis dan menghasilkan rangkaian N keputusan yang meminimumkan ekspektasi total biaya perbaikan kerusakan, biaya overhaul, dan biaya penggantian selama T. Perilaku solusi model menunjukkan bahwa keputusan mempertahankan, mengoverhaul maupun meremajakan sangat dipengaruhi oleh intensitas kerusakan mesin beserta berbagai ongkos dari ketiga alternatif keputusan tersebut.Keywords: Perbaikan Minimal, Overhaul, Pemrograman Dinami
Analisis Pengaruh Supply Chain Management terhadap Loyalitas Konsumen
In this day and age, competition in the competitive business world, every company should be able to see far ahead a wide range of factors that arise to deal with changing conditions. They must analyze whether the factors facing it is an opportunity and a chance or otherwise a threat to the company. Supply chain management in order to overcome supply problems in the state of the product available and feasible consumption. Supply control is important to control the supply of the deficiency and excess production, supply, or demand. Shortage of these products will lead to complaints from consumers and companies will lose a number of opportunities to generate income. Meanwhile, the brand image of the item will be bad. As a result, consumers are becoming less loyal to consume goods, and even more negative impact consumer inadvertently talks by word of mouth (mouth to mouth) to other consumers not to purchase it at retail. While the excess inventory will result in losses for producers. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant influence of supply chain management to customer loyalty on Supermarket "DB" at Duta Mas. By taking a sample of 60 respondents, but only 57 are completed and after processing, the results obtained have a significant influence of supply chain management to customer loyalty on Supermarket "DB" at Duta Mas.Keywords: Supply Chain Management, Loyalitas, Regresi Linier Sederhan
Pengaruh Penuaan Terhadap Karakteristik Paduan Ingat Bentuk Nitinol
Nitinol is a form of alloy used for shaping memory applications because of its good mechanical properties and stable shape memory effect. The microstructure and transformation temperature is influenced by aging treatment, composition, and addition of elements to the alloy. This study explained the effect of aging treatment on the characteristic of Nitinol. The shape memory alloy with Ti-50.04 % at Ni composition was solution treated at 1000 oC for 1 hour and quenched in water, then aged in temperature of 500 oC, 550 oC, 600 oC, 650 oC and 700 oC for 10 hours. The microstructure was investigated using Scanning Electron Microscopy and mechanical property such as Vickers method. Transformation temperature was measured using resistance measurement technique. The result of microstructure observation showed that the martensitic phase was arranged by lamellar plates which tend to be softer in aging temperature, and the hardness decreased in aging temperature near 600OC - 700OC. The martensitic transformation temperature increased about 4 oC after aging process at 500 oC for 10 hours, but while aging temperature was near 500 oC – 700 oC, there was no significant change of the transformation temperature.Keywords: Shape Memory Alloy, Aging, Nitinol, Martensiti
Perancangan Konsep Lean dengan Metode 5S pada Publishing Company dan Bookstore
5S method as lean concept foundation is an effective tool to achieve improvement effort in organizations. Organizations which do not have working area standard yet according to 5S method have the chance doing the improvement, as the design suggested to the publishing and bookstore chain company. The research was done in three working areas processing product ordering documents by consumers. Data collection was done by field observation and interviews to related staff. Data collected includes process flow in the three working areas, actual physical working area condition, and activity time as modeling base with ProModel 2001. Based on review related to methods, machines, environment, materials and man aspects, the three working areas need an improvement based on 5S method. The company does not have similar standards yet, so kinds of waste happen at times at the working areas. Gudang working area improvement was done based on waste identification, process flow, activity time, and current actual physical condition. At departemen administrasi, the improvement was done based on waste identification, actual physical condition, and the area necessity. At departemen keuangan, improvement was done based on waste identification, actual physical condition, and the area necessity. At the three working areas the 5S was designed from seiri (proper arrangement), seiton (orderliness), seiso (cleanliness), seiketsu (standardize), and shitsuke (discipline) activities each. Gudang working area modeling was done with the basis on activity time data to test improvement design effect according to 5S method. Modeling was based on actual condition and three alternatives.Working area improvement design with 5S method was designed as suggestions at the three working areas in the company. Success factor in the implementation is viewed based on the whole staff’s commitment, with the consideration on any obstacles, such as workers’ resistance to the 5S method suggested. Therefore, in this research workers’ psychology aspects could be taken into consideration for further details. Modeling results indicated the alternative to eliminate a certain single activity without any staff added yielded the optimum result and could be taken into consideration for the company to implement.Keywords: 5S, Lean, Wast
Usulan Perbaikan Kualitas Proses Produksi di Industri Berbasis Hasil Laut
This Research was aimed to give a suggestion how to improve production process’s quality in PT. Biru Laut Nusantara. Realizing that fish processing needs a lot of precision because of food quality and safety problem, this research will show the cause of the defect and how to solve the problem. This research focused on identifying the types and factors which causing defective products and getting the solution in maintaining and improving the quality of production process by using HACCP Approaching and Six Sigma. Some of the quality tools that used in this research are Check Sheet, Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagram, P Chart, and FMEA. The results show that PT. Biru Laut Nusantara’s capability process is lower than 1, which is need to be improved. The solution will be focused solving temperature (35%), hard impact (30%), and contamination (20%) defect factor. The result shows us that QC department still needs a lot of training and some new standard like GMP and SSOP must be implemented. The discussion with the company’s QC department concludes that if the suggestion from the research is implemented, it will decrease defect rate about 10%-90%.Keywords: Quality Control, HACCP, Six Sigma, Quality Tools, Capability Process, Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures
Aplikasi Metode Quality Function Deployment dalam Mengevaluasi Kualitas Pelayanan Dosen Kepada Mahasiswa
World events and technology are so rapid as well as science demands that higher education makes a very important and must be fulfilled by various circles of society, therefore the quality of service and quality of education is an issue which is to be noted for the institution - higher education institutions to produce graduates who can compete and excellent in the world of work. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of faculty service quality as what is desired by students, and prioritize efforts to improve teacher performance to student services based on Quality Function Deployment method, as for the object of this research is the University of XYZ. In this study researchers used a method Quality Function Deployment, which is where the primary data obtained, among others, interviews, field research and questionnaire data obtained through the questionnaires to the students. This study also used some secondary data, which include literature research, and techniques of documentary studies. In order to evaluate and improve the quality of teaching services provided to students, the researchers first conduct an analysis of what lecturers services desired by students, and the subsequent results of the analysis will be processed by using House of Quality matrix, the matrix which contains about degree of importance to the technical parameters of interaction that must be done to improve the quality of teaching services. From the analysis results of research using Quality Function Deployment method, the obtained factor of development priorities that have been conducted by the University of XYZ to evaluate and improve the quality of teaching services to students at XYZ University in accordance with the current priorities of the service quality factors obtained from this research.Keywords: Service Evaluation, Quality Function Deploymen
Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku dengan Model Sistem Dinamik (Studi Pada Perusahaan Furniture)
Efficiency and effectivity enhancement is a problem of every company. Material stocks optimization is an effort for this problem, and it can be done by choosing the best system, when the material be used for production and needed to control material stocks. The purpose of this study is to analyze inventory problem using dynamic system simulation (Powersim). The application of some scenarios results in references as a policy formula in considerations. Pengendalian Kualitas Produksi dengan Statistical Process Control (SPC)
PT. Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk. is one of the processing industry (manufacturing insudtry) with export and domestic market share. To keep the share, the company provides high quality assurance for products offered to consumers and the improvement of quality has always been the main point of fulfilling the production process. This study aims to determine what factors cause the occurrence of reject products are not standard sizes (UTS) and How can quality control with application approach Statitical Process Control (SPC) in machining section PT. Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk. to overcome reject nonstandard size (UTS). The results of this study indicate that the product quality control in machining section on the BNC-1machine, there are the highest reject percentage (11.80%) on part number S23059 with the highest type of rejection is not a standard size (uts) at a size of 9 ± 0,05mm. From the results of field observation and brainstorming, the factors that cause bad part (reject) is a factor of BNC-1 machines are old, worn collet locking bolt and fastener tool insert screws loose. The corrective action taken is to move the process of part number S23059 in production in BNA-DHY2 machine, after analysis process by the method of Statistical Process Control (SPC) concluded for capabilty process (CP) BNA-DHY2 machine excellent is 1,85.Keywords: Quality assurance, manufacturing industry, quality control, Statistical Process Contro
