A trial for the design and optimization of pH-sensitive microparticles for intestinal delivery of cinnarizine
The aim of this study was to formulate a microparticulate delivery system to deliver cinnarizine (CIN) directly to its site of absorption to overcome its low oral bioavailability. Enteric microparticles were prepared by varying ratios of pH-sensitive polymers (Eudragit L100 and Eudragit S100). A full 3(3) factorial experimental design was adopted to evaluate the effect of variables (CIN concentration as well as Eudragit's concentration) on the tested parameters, namely, particle size (p.s.), drug entrapment efficiency (E.E.), and release efficiency (R.E.). Optimization was done using Design Expert® software to maximize E.E. and R.E. and minimize p.s. The optimized formula was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and X-ray diffractometry. In vivo studies conducted on human volunteers using LC-MS analysis revealed improved bioavailability of CIN-loaded enteric microparticles compared to the market product as detected from calculated pharmacokinetic parameters. This study reveals the usefulness of site-specific delivery of CIN
Software Requirements Validation : A Comparative Study
As software requirements are the core of building any software project, the requirements engineering became a very important aspect for a lot of researchers. This paper sheds light on the software requirements validation process as an important step of the requirements engineering process that affects the other software production processes such as design, development and testing. The paper compares two different techniques of software requirements validation, each of them is trying to use the user’s language that is the natural lan-guage to enhance the requirements process, while they are different in the modeling of this natural language. The first approach builds conceptual models based on the natural language; these models are easy to be understood by the analyst and the user. The conceptual models can be converted to the ordinary models such as JSD, OCD and DFD, hence, the validation of software requirements will be provided by converting those conceptual models again to the natural language and by finding the gap between the requirements docu-ment and the analysis of the analysts. The second approach builds an assessing tool based on the natural language, this tool tries to find the problems with the requirements document before passing it to the analysis phase, hence, the requirements can be checked again with the user. The comparison takes three basic steps to compare the two approaches, step 1 compares the approaches concepts and tools, step 2 applies a case study to the two approaches and compares the results and step 3 compares the limitations of the two ap-proaches. Finally, the paper reaches a proposed model that combines the two approaches and can improve the software requirements validation process

Removable partial prosthodontics.
Includes bibliographical references and index.xi, 375 p. :The leading prosthodontics resource for more than 40 years, McCracken's Removable Partial Prosthodontics provides the information you need to successfully manage the replacement of missing teeth. It covers the basic principles of treatment planning and design, and discusses the newest techniques, procedures, and equipment. Well-known educators Alan B. Carr, DMD, MS, and David T. Brown, DDS, MS use an evidence-based approach that helps you diagnose, design, develop, and sequence a treatment plan. A new chapter in this edition explains how to select and use implants to improve prosthesis performance. From initial contact with the patient to post-treatment care, from basic concepts to advanced material, this full-color text provides a complete foundation in prosthodontic care. Colored boxes highlight the more advanced topics, so it's easy to focus on content that's appropriate for your level of experience. Evidence-based approach uses current research to help you diagnose, design, develop, and sequence a treatment plan. Various philosophies and techniques are presented, so you can select and incorporate applicable techniques on a case-by-case basis. Chapters are presented in three logically-sequenced sections to keep specific focus areas together: General Concepts/Treatment Planning Clinical and Laboratory Maintenance
Stability-Indicating RP-HPLC Methods for the Determination of Fluorometholone in Its Mixtures with Sodium Cromoglycate and Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride.
Two stability-indicating reversed-phase liquid chromatographic methods were developed and validated for the determination of fluorometholone (FLU) in its mixtures with sodium cromoglycate (SCG) and tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride (THZ). The first HPLC method (Method 1) was based on isocratic elution of FLU and SCG along with their alkaline degradation products on a reversed phase C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm id)-ACE Generix 5, using a mobile phase consisting of methanol-water (70 : 30, v/v), pH adjusted to 2.5 using orthophosphoric acid at a flow rate of 1.2 mL min(-1) Quantitation was achieved with UV detection at 240 nm. The second HPLC method (Method 2) was based on isocratic elution of FLU, its alkaline degradation product and THZ on a reversed phase C8 column (250 × 4.6 mm)-ACE Generix 5, using a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-50 mM potassium dihydrogen orthophosphate (40 : 60, v/v) at a flow rate of 2 mL min(-1) Quantitation was achieved by applying dual-wavelength detection, where FLU and its alkaline degradation product were detected at 240 nm and THZ was detected at 215 nm at ambient temperatures. Linearity, accuracy and precision were found to be acceptable over the concentration range of 5-50 and 10-500 μg mL(-1) for FLU and SCG (Method 1) and over the concentration range of 5-80 and 5-60 μg mL(-1) for FLU and THZ (Method 2), respectively. Besides, the FLU alkaline degradation product was verified using IR, NMR and LC-MS spectroscopy. The two proposed methods could be successfully applied for the routine analysis of the studied drugs either in their pure bulk powders or in their pharmaceutical preparations without any preliminary separation step

INTERACTIONAL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTIES TO A PPP PROJECT
Common among all these varied structures is the long-term contractual period between multiple public and private entities. These entities include government, concessionaire and financier. The increased uncertainty of a long-term contract duration coupled with the involvement of multiple actors proves to be a challenge to developing risk mitigation strategies in PPP. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically collect, assess and frame the risks associated with these projects and explore associated dynamics. There has been a recent shift towards focusing on interactions of parties due to shared risks. Exploring the interactions among the parties in risk and renegotiation scenarios can help in understanding and mapping out the potential outcomes and multiple strategies for each party. The main objectives of this dissertation are: 1) Establish risks affectingsupervision by : Makarand Hastak

Power Management in Islanded Microgrids Using Multi-Agent Systems
This paper presents a power management strategy for
islanded microgrids. The proposed strategy utilizes the MultiAgent
System (MAS) to perform the required tasks. The
strategy is divided into two stages. The first stage is an
operational planning stage which aims to optimize the operation
of the microgrid in the islanded mode. This is achieved by
performing Optimal Power Flow (OPF) periodically in the grid
connected mode using a central agent. Once the islanded mode is
detected, the results of the OPF are used to balance the
operation of the microgrid. Several distributed agents along
with the central agent aim to further fine tune the set points
obtained from the OPF based on the actual operating conditions
of the microgrid. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the
proposed strategy, four scenarios are simulated and presented
Egypt: New Developments Amidst Challenges
Egypt as a central regional power; a centripetal force not a centrifugal one, plays an important regional and sometimes international role. We could distinguish between four types of role:
• Active Role between 1952- 1967.
• Real Politique Role between 1970- 1981.
• Abandoned Role between 1981- 2011.
• Promising Role starting 2011.
Accordingly, Egypt is moving from 30 years of regional abandoned role to more effective central role
