The Philosophical Underpinnings of Trump\u27s Foreign Policy: Analyzing Key Influences and Implications
Donald Trump, the forty fifth President of the United States, has attracted and continues drawing sharp criticism regarding his foreign policy. Apart from being described in some circles as a nationalist, there is no denying that the President holds an extraordinary set of beliefs that are completely different from the rest of the world and dedicates himself to achieving them regardless of any type of backlash. ‘America First’, Mr Trump’s campaign slogan, sends messages which offer a glimpse to the intertwining principles of his policies and strong anti-globalist sentiment of the American people which results in a revolutionary view of a world order that focuses on restraint and traditionalism. In this scientific commentary, we will discuss the basic philosophical formatives that are guiding Trump\u27s foreign policy and explaining how this world\u27s perceptions not only impact the President\u27s decisions, but also the international relations as a whole. Furthermore, we explore what this means for the wider understanding of politics where ideology and practice grow in opposite directions. We trust this will provide useful insights into what to expect out of US diplomatic relations in the subsequent years after the end of Mr. Trump’s presidency
Exploring Personal Yidam Practices in Vajrayana Tradition: A Journey to Enlightenment
Personal Yidam practices in the Vajrayana tradition serve as a meaningful pathway to uncover one\u27s inherent Buddha nature and nurture enlightened qualities. These practices, deeply rooted in ancient teachings and lineage transmissions, provide a direct path for individuals to engage with the wisdom and compassion of meditational deities called Yidams. The study explores the essence of personal Yidam practices, exploring their purpose, methods, significance, and transformative potential. The primary aim of personal Yidam practices is to dissolve dualistic perceptions and awaken the practitioner\u27s inherent potential for enlightenment. Through elaborate visualization techniques and concentrated meditation, practitioners immerse themselves in the divine qualities and enlightened attributes of their chosen Yidam deity. Guided by a spiritual teacher, practitioners select a Yidam that resonates with their temperament, aspirations, and spiritual path, embarking on a journey of inner transformation and realization. In conclusion, personal Yidam practices in the Vajrayana tradition represent a sacred journey of self-discovery, transformation, and enlightenment, rooted in devotion, wisdom, and compassion, these practices offer a direct path toward enlightenment, guiding practitioners to realize their fullest potential and embody the awakened mind of the Yidam.
 
Research on Recontextualization Strategies in Translation of Quotations from Chinese Classics in The Governance of China from the Perspective of Skopos Theory
From the perspective of Skopos Theory, this study compares the English translation of quotations in The Governance of China with Xu Yuanchong’s translation, and analyzes the recontextualization strategy adopted in the English translation of allusions in The Governance of China to adapt to the change of context. It has been found that when translating allusions in political texts, it is necessary to consider not only the historical context in which the allusions are produced, but also the contemporary context in which they are quoted. Under the fidelity rule, recontextualization should be carried out according to the speaker’s purpose, and various recontextualization strategies such as domestication, foreignization, and explicitation should be appropriately adopted in order to achieve the translation purpose and be widely accepted by readers
A Comparative Study of Black Humor as Seen in Catch-22 and A Good Man Is Hard to Find
The purpose of this thesis is to find the similarities and differences between Catch-22 and A Good Man Is Hard to Find in the direction of literary genre in black humor. Based on works in both Chinese and English and a lot of literary criticism, the systematical research will be done in aspects of art style, language, the writing technique, major character and theme to obtain a more profound understanding of these two novels. According the research, the thesis gets conclusions as following: Catch-22 and A Good Man Is Hard to Find are both tragedies, but because of the implicit and calm expression of the two authors, both the two works have the effect of comedy. The former subverts the traditional narrative mode by describing absurd plots in a spider web structure, and portrays a alienated major character - Yossarian, who wants to escape from combat, while the latter uses the traditional linear mode to depict a hypocritical character - Grandma. The two characters are both anti-heroes. Nevertheless, Catch-22 mostly uses repetition and symbolism to reveal the cruelty of reality and wars and show human alienation, while A Good Man Is Hard to Find tends to use the metaphor to express the theme of original sin, violence and redemption
Investigating the Effectiveness of Online Interactive Modules on Enhancing Mathematical Proficiency in Grade VI Students of Phuentsholing Primary School
This study examined the effectiveness of online interactive modules in improving mathematical proficiency among Grade VI students in Phuentsholing Primary School, focusing on the concepts of ordering fractions and rotation. The mixed-methods approach was used where 27 students participated in three-week intervention involving online learning tools. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, surveys, and observations. The results were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 22) and it demonstrated significant improvement in students\u27 understanding, with mean test scores increasing from 2.00 to 4.96 for ordering fractions, and from 0.63 to 4.63 for rotation. Surveys indicated a positive shift in students\u27 perceptions towards using digital tools for learning, with increased engagement and enjoyment. Qualitative analysis was derived through thematic coding and it revealed that dynamic simulations and instant feedback were key elements in facilitating understanding. Despite overall gains, some students continued to find the rotation concept challenging, as reflected in the higher post-test score variability. The study highlighted the potential of online interactive modules to enhance mathematical learning, suggesting further exploration into differentiated support for complex topics. These findings have implications for integrating technology in educational practices in Bhutan

Disability narratives serve as a bridge between myth and realism, offering a profound lens through which to examine human diversity and societal constructs. While mythological depictions often reduce disability to symbolic archetypes—representing moral flaws, divine punishment, or extraordinary wisdom—realist narratives ground disability in the lived experiences of individuals, highlighting systemic injustices and cultural biases. This evolution in representation dismantles stereotypes, portraying disabled individuals as complex, multifaceted members of society. Works like Dickens’ Bleak House or Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird challenge reductive tropes, fostering empathy and broader understanding. Disability narratives thus underscore the importance of inclusivity, revealing how race, class, and gender intersect with disability. By engaging with these stories, literature not only critiques societal norms but also champions equity and dignity. In doing so, disability narratives inspire a reevaluation of cultural values, enriching both literary discourse and social consciousness
Implicit incarnations of gender roles in the contemporary society
The positions that men and women are supposed to fill depending on their sex are known as gender roles. Based on the social structure and hierarchy, men and women are assigned certain roles, which leads to stereotyping of genders with rigid gender roles. The patriarchal framework also fuels these gender roles and vice versa. The different explanations of the word "Gender roles" are extracted through an examination of the research articles that were conducted on the topic. This investigation into the younger generation\u27s comprehension of the concept of gender roles that have been established by our society has been carried out to gather information. To accomplish this, an initial survey will be carried out on the population that falls into the age category spanning from 14 to 63 years old. The data is carefully analysed to arrive at a conclusion. A personal reaction that we received from individuals on a socially inappropriate subject also included, albeit in a short form, in order to gain an understanding of how far society has progressed from its earlier stages over the course of the years.
 
The Problem of Regional Disparities: An Overview in Indian Context
The contemporary world is growing rapidly in the field of urbanization, liberalization, globalisation and modernization, but on the other hand, all this development has emerged a worldwide phenomenon regarding regional disparity. Regional disparity is a common fact in both developing and developed economies. Across India\u27s different regions and states, development and growth has not been distributed fairly and has given rise to the threat of regional inequality. In India, each of 28 states has its own disparities regarding socio-economic indicators with other states; among them few states e.g. Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, etc. have already attained rapid economic development Whereas, other regions or states e.g. Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand, etc. have attained less development. India is a diverse nation with a massive population disparity in social and economic development, employment, and infrastructure facilities across the regions and within regions that have been a major challenge to policymakers and economists. Main objective of the study is to understand the concept of regional imbalances. The paper highlights the causes and consequences of disparities in inter-regions, inter-state and intra-regions in India. The paper describes also the measurements implemented by Indian policy makers in India to reduce the problem. The paper reveals suggestions to reduce the disparities in Indian context
Interventions for Behavioral Problem of Students Belonging to the Broken Family in Middle Secondary School
This is an action based research paper carried out at Kamji Central School under Chukha district. It involved 10 participants ranging from classes PP to X including parents and teachers. It aims to explore and identify the behavioral issues among children from the broken family background. It’s a qualitative design of research where findings made are thematically analyzed. Following this, some of the applicable interventions too were applied during the study that helped in reshaping and molding the behavior of those children. Recommendations too are presented after the analysis of the findings that can be effective if applied even in other school settings
Challenges English teachers and students face in teaching and learning poetry in Class VI of Rangaytung Primary School, Chhukha Dzongkhag
The poetry question of class VI is marked out of 8 both in the mid-term as well as in the annual examination according to the English Curriculum Framework, Classes PP-XII, of which the poem should be from outside Reading & Literature, Class VI. After studying the marks scored by 14 students of class VI of Rangaytung Primary School, Chhukha in the mid-term examination, 2023, more than 75% of the students on average scored below 4. Therefore, the study found out what reasons students had for not fully understanding the poems taught in the classroom. The study also touched on the perceptions English teachers of class VI had on the partial understanding of poetry taught in the classroom by the students. The participants for the study were selected based on purposive sampling. The study adopted qualitative research design to collect data from the students and teachers. Qualitative thematic analysis was used to interpret the collected data. The findings of this study include difficulty in understanding the meaning of words because of the use of linguistics and taking the teaching and learning of poetry lightly by both the teacher and the students in the first place. As a consequence of this, students took less interest in learning poetry than other genres of literature. Teaching strategies used by the English teacher also played a vital role in making poetry learning interesting to the learners. Understanding of poetry was better when the teacher used simple sentences with appropriate examples to explain the poem. Moreover, poetry lesson were rarely repeated, which was actually necessary. Keeping all difficulties aside, the teacher played a crucial role in making poetry learning interesting to the children. Recommendations to English teachers of class VI are discussed separately towards the end of the study
