A Study on Motivational Levels of Teachers in Lhuentse District, Bhutan
Get PDFMany stakeholders in the country describe poor performance of learners is attributed to motivational level of teachers. Principal plays an important role in motivating teacher. This study focuses on factors that impact teachers’ motivation in Lhuentse District of Bhutan and on the role of Principal in enhancing teachers’ motivation.
Many initiatives have been taken at the Ministry, Department, District and School levels to improve the learning outcomes of students. Tremendous work has been done to achieve a holistic development of the children by infusing the four pillars of Gross National Happiness (GNH), the eight dimensions and seventy-two indicators into the school curriculum. Enormous amount of money and time has been invested for the professional Development programs for the teachers. Principal in school are now seen to take a major role than just a mere administrator. Therefore, qualitative research has further conducted to find out some of the challenges that demoralize teachers professionally and to identify factors that contribute on motivation of teachers in the schools of the District

The intensity and characteristics of traumatic experiences vary from person to person, culture to culture; and they also depend on the other psycho-socio-cultural variables; and the defense-mechanism has no particular order. In order to making points clearer and focused, this paper has been divided into three subsections. The first section is a narrative essay on trauma and post-traumatic ego defense mechanism. The second part broadly focuses on some common defense mechanism and the third section discusses on a particular defense mechanism, dissociating reality and associates it with the idea of insanity. Get PDFChinese prose has a long history. During this period, various famous artists have created many excellent works. Prose is a very important literature and art form which takes writing as creation and aesthetic object. In ancient Chinese literature, prose just like verses and parallel writings, does not pursue rhyme and sentence pattern. This is prose in a broad sense. And I would like to talk about prose in a narrow sense. In modern Chinese literature, prose refers to a literary genre which is in parallel with poetry, novel and drama. The major characteristics of prose are the sincere feeling and the beautiful language. After May 4th Movement, the social literature form was influenced by the New Culture Movement, a number of splendid writers in our country created a good deal of excellent works of prose. These are the precious treasures of Chinese literature, carrying the Chinese spirit and culture. But it is a pity that academics at home and abroad have done few researches on the modern Chinese essays translation, and the study about it is rare. The research on Chinese prose translation study, however, is far from enough. The Chinese prose translation study has lagged behind the other literary genre study all the time. Mr. Zhang\u27s two series of "Modern Chinese Prose Selection" translations are his classic masterpieces. The selected works are all famous prose of young intellectuals after the May 4th Movement in China. The essays in them are of profound significance and full of characteristics of the times. So this article tries to explore Professor Zhang Peiji\u27s translation art style in combination with prose selection. The fact that Professor Zhang has successfully translated also proves that the Chinese can make a great contribution in the Chinese-English translation career. The author also expects that Chinese scholars and translators will actively participate in the translation career, and to learn from each other\u27s strengths in future translations. Really let Chinese culture go to the world as soon as possible
A Review of Self-efficacy of Learners through Online Learning
Get PDFE‐learning has been adopted as the alternative learning mode across the board during COVID‐ 19 pandemic to persist academic activities due to nationwide closures. Self-efficacy plays a mediated role in and is positively correlated with academic achievements of distance education. Objective factors (online connection, online learning experience and knowledge, online classroom environment, and others) and subjective factors (learning attitudes of students, interaction among students, online teaching capability of teachers, emotion and psychological states and others), influence by and large self-efficacy of learners who conduct online education. Additionally, different measurements of self-efficacy are discussed, with the result that Questionnaire of English Self-Efficacy (QESE) is a professional and valid tool to measure self-efficacy of English-major learners. There is such a paucity of studying learners’ self-efficacy via e-learning that this paper fills the gap to study the topic

It also explores how he was a revolutionary not only on the political front but also on social and religious fronts. His ideas are deeply rooted in a deep sense of social and political understanding in many ways. Bhagat Singh as a social-political thinker always tried to be rational and construct strong base against any irrational and illogical elements present in the society. He has proclaimed an atheist but his views on the religious front are remarkable. He never advocated people to follow any religion blindly and stay on illusion. He condemned everything that seemed damaging and destructive for the Indian society. He was more concerned about the progress of people irrespective of any identity and created a universal platform for everyone at the national level. He also presented his views over the Gods and their different roles for humanity in his writings and thoughts. While talking about the divine figure and religion his prime concern had been to benefit people without any disparity and difference. Bhagat Singh throughout his life fought against the sufferings that affected human lives. At the same time, he questioned the authority of those who were responsible to carry the religious elements by criticising the caste system and religious practices of India. He questioned the highest Varna of society by arguing that if he commits any sin who would be responsible and who is authorised to punish him. In other words, he until the end of time stood against any nexus that harms humanity and human lives in any form. His prime objective in life had been to inject revolutionary ideas among the people and impart a heart that opened its door for everyone without any reservations. In the end, he concluded himself as an atheist on the basis his observations of the religious elements
A Critical Analysis of the Quad -Segments in “Train to Pakistan,” an Epoch-making Novel by Khushwant Singh
Get PDFThis research paper aims to explore “Dacoity”, “Kalyuga” (the Age of Downfall), “Mano[1]Maira” (Dirty-Mind) and “Karma” (Deeds) in “Train to Pakistan”, an epoch-making novel inscribed by Khushawant Singh and critically analyse those four phases in the fiction. The Partition of India is the gloomiest occurrence in British India, which attracted the attention of several writers, poets, and novelists who portrayed it in their respective works. Khushwant Singh expresses his anger over the violation of the long-cherished Indian values over the communal riots that occurred over the process of the Partition of United British India into India and Pakistan. It can be argued that “Train to Pakistan”, a tragedy inscribed in a mock-comic form, heaps up pieces of criticism over the celebration of the freedom attained with mass murder, bestiality and ingeniously, delineating the pity and horror of the two-nation theory, and it is a nightmare with a thrilling texture which one closes the novel with a sigh of relief
The Synergy between literature in English and Language Learning in Higher Education: Review of Literature in practice
Get PDFThe interface between literature and language is a topic explored in this essay by looking at language as a tool of communication and literature as a tool to enrich language skills. Literature is concerned with artistic use of language to depict the socio- cultural, political and economic situations of human beings in the world they live. In higher education, literature in English is taught not only to equip learners with ethical values, critical thinking and analytical skills but also communication skills in English. In this paper, theories of using literature in language learning are reviewed with specific interest in English as an international language. The paper anchored on two of Lazar’s approaches such as language - based approach to using literature in language learning on the one hand, and literature as a tool for personal enrichment on the other hand. Discussion reveals that literature is an indispensable tool to enrich language knowledge and proficiency if well utilized. Teachers of Literature should consider that it is a means to enrich the acquirer’s language knowledge and proficiency
Implementation of the Management of Hospital Wastes: An Assessment
Get PDFThis paper described the perceived strategies by the hospital owners/administrators in implementing waste management. Further, this paper described the challenges faced by the hospital owners/administrators in implementing waste management. From the challenges, the paper described its coping mechanisms towards the implementation of waste management. A total of 49 respondents composed of 41 administrators and 8 hospital owners were surveyed in the study using descriptive method. The result of this study would be very helpful as a guideline for improving and developing the healthcare related waste management. It will also create awareness regarding the magnitude of the problem of waste management in hospitals of Cabanatuan City and has generated interest for systematic control efforts for hospital waste disposal. Hospital waste management cannot succeed without documented plans, certain equipment, defined staff trainings, and periodic evaluations. The major challenged for most of the hospitals in Cabanatuan City is the financial constraints, awareness, implementation and monitoring waste management. Many efforts have been made by environmental regulatory agencies and waste generators to better manage the waste from healthcare facilities in recent years but still these are not sufficient enough to prevent environmental hazards and associated health hazards caused by health care waste
Digitalized Instructional Materials in Creative Writing based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge
Get PDFThe main objective of the study was essentially focused on determining the effective ways in teaching creative writing among the Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) students based on the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in utilizing and developing digitalized instructional materials. A Quasi-Experimental research design was specifically utilized for one group shot. The creative writing teacher employed the digitalized resources in teaching creative writing covered for the semester after administering pretest to improve the writing skills of the students. Data collection was limited to pretest and posttest scores of the subjects using Paired T-test dependent among the students taking up the creative writing subject. This research concluded that there is significant difference in teaching creative writing of HUMSS students using digitalized materials. Using various tools available online and electronic resources can help and enrich students’ creative writing abilities towards independent learning. Thus, writing opportunities can take place everywhere both in the classroom and at hom
