The Life-historical Approach to Itsuki KUBO(Ⅰ) : Focusing on the Process of Establishing the “Standard” of Educational Practice
Itsuki Kubo has been an elementary school teacher in Kyoto City for a long time, and further developed the teaching materials and educational methods developed by Hiroshi Kishimoto to enable the formation and mastery of basic academic ability, and is a school with the theme of academic ability formation for all children. He is a practitioner and a theorist who has brought to fruition the practice of making. He has also raised the educational skills and practical research (training)necessary to improve the practical competence of young teachers and further develop them as teachers. So why was Kubo able to make such a proposal in terms of both theory and practice? In this paper, based on this awareness of problems, we clarified the growth and competence formation process of Itsuki Kubo as a teacher based on life history research
Case Study on the Relationship Between Learning Group Function and Teacher Behavior in Elementary School Physical Education : Taking the Upper Grades Gymnastics Apparatus Class as an Example
The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in teacher behaviors between classes with high diagnostic results of learning group functioning (upper group:3classes)and classes without high diagnostic results (middle group:3classes)in upper elementary school instrumental exercise classes (6classes). The results showed that the teachers in the upper group used creative questions, positive feedback (skill and cognitive), and encouragement significantly more often than those in the middle group. In addition, the results of the class observations showed that the upper group had a common place for observational learning in all classes, and thoughtful learning was developed in the whole class. It is thought that these teacher behaviors enhanced the learning group function in the learning of the instrumental exercise, which is an individual event
On the Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ)Japanese Version (1) : Validity for Junior-high-school Students,High-school Students and Undergraduates and the Relation of AQ Score to Self-image and Internal Working Models
The Japanese version of the Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ)(Baron-Cohen et al.,2001)was developed first. The purpose of the present study was to examine its validity for adolescence with normal intelligence and to show whether AQ score is related to the self-image or the internal working models. The developed AQ Japanese version, Image Question (IMQ ; Umemoto et al., 1974) and Internal Working Model Scale(IWMS ; Takuma & Toda,1988), were administered to 250 junior-high-school students, 361 high-school students and 603 undergraduates. In results, the AQ scores of the participants were distributed as the spectrum hypothesis suggested. Participants with cut-off scores for AQ were occupied one per cent as same as the occurrence ratio for the autism. Compared to the middle AQ score group, the high score group showed higher ambivalent score and higher avoidant score for IWMS. It was suggested that the students with high AQ score have the negative self-images
