Effects of card-based learning tool “Etomi”
現在国内外の調査から、生徒の数学への関心・興味が低いことと論理的に理由付けて説明する力が不足していることが、中学校数学における課題として明らかになっている。この課題を解決するためにカード型学習教材「エトミー」を開発し、複数の中学校の協力者に依頼してこの教材を用いた授業実践を行った。この教材を利用することで、反例を用いて常に成り立たないことを説明する力が身に付くと考えられると共に、複数存在する条件から必要なものを選択し問題を解決する力、そして数学で求められる式、言葉、表、図等の数学的な表現を適切に使用できる力を習得できることが予想される。本論文は、授業実践時の調査やアンケートの結果から、教材を通して数学に対する関心・意欲の向上や数学的な思考力の獲得に効果があることを示唆するものである。修正版を次号(『和歌山大学教職大学院紀要 : 学校教育実践研究 』7号)に掲載

Practice of horizontal bar exercise using the Hanging Upside Down and Swinging for Landing as a teaching material in the lower grades of elementary school : comparing with the practice of before COVID-19 and COVID-19 calamity
This study was clarified the learning in the gymnastics unit of the Hanging Upside Down to Landing (HUDL) on the horizontal bar in an elementary school and clarified the impact to learning of COVID 19. The unit was practiced in a second-grade class at 2019(before COVID-19). Also, the unit in a third grade was practiced in a third-grade class in 2021(COVID-19 calamity). The subjects of the survey were the video of final class in the unit, the description of the learning card, the questionnaire about “immersiveness” and “trial and error”. From the video evaluation, the satisfied level of achievement of HUDSL was approximately 40-50%, so it seemed that HUDL was appropriate material for low grade student. As a result of the correspondence analysis verifying the learning with the learning card, the description about the body part and the tips was found in the latter half of the unit. But there were few descriptions of classmates’ name in the third-grade class than second-grade class. Also, the responses to the “trial and error of third grade students were significantly lower than of the second-grade students all through the unit. These results indicate that the COVID-19 calamity effect on students’ learning is to reduce dialogue between students and impede the transmission of tips
Making music with programming kit ‘Micro:bit’ in the elementary school music lesson:aiming to promote reflection and trial and error in the process
本研究は、音楽づくりにおいてプログラミングを取り入れることが、児童の省察や試行錯誤の促進につながるのではないかとの仮説のもと、micro:bit を活用した音楽づくりの授業実践を通して明らかにしようとしたものである。授業における児童の発言記録や授業映像記録の分析結果より、①直感的操作 ②即時再現機能 ③音楽の諸要素の個別の操作 ④音楽の可視化や数値化といったプログラミングの機能によって、児童の音楽の理解度や技能に左右されることなく、音楽づくりにおける省察や試行錯誤を促進することが明らかとなった
From student exchange to co-education : Reflections on the International Symposium “Current status and Issues of Japanese Language Education in Asia”
A diverse body of international students, mainly exchange students, has come to Wakayama University, and efforts are underway to meet the various needs of these students in learning Japanese. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has created unanticipated challenges for Japanese language education. These circumstances require more than ever a robust exchange of information and cooperation among partner universities. In order to share information and discussion on issues related to Japanese language education among the Asian universities from which many of Wakayama University's international students come, an international symposium entitled “Japanese Language Education in Asia --Current Situation and Issues--” was held. Panelists from four Asian universities in China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Uzbekistan as well as Wakayama University delivered reports and engaged in a discussion of issues. On the day of the symposium, a total of 196 people from 17 countries around the world participated with many contributing comments to the discussion. n this paper, while looking back on the purpose and contents of the symposium, we will consider the current state of Japanese language education (with an emphasis on Asia), further cooperation in the future, and new possibilities such as COIL
