Effectiveness of ‘Weak’ CLIL―through an example of a course
No full textIn modern society, where many people have access to various information of the world withthe Internet, just having English skill is not as important as it used to be in old days. What isimportant is to analyze the information, form an opinion, and to cooperate with other people.English education should change its aims, as the needs have changed. It is, however, difficultto keep up to the speed of the society change and change the way of teaching accordingly.One of the potential ways of changing English education is to use CLIL method. Usingvarious modern topic material and encouraging or helping students to communicate theirknowledge and views with others in English can help change EFL(English as a ForeignLanguage) teachers’ mindset. This article shows an example of an English course with ‘Weak’version of CLIL and discusses how effective it was both for students and the teacher

Get PDF「協同農業普及事業」が予算的，人員的に厳しさを増すなか，先行研究では，JAの営農指導事業が量的，機能的に補完・代替する必要性に言及している。本研究では，都市農業を管轄するJAを対象に，統計資料の整理，営農指導員へのヒアリング調査，事例とした大阪府内の3つのJAのディスクロージャー誌の内容を基に，営農指導事業の現状及び，担い手としての可能性を検討した。考察の結果，マーケットインに基づく生産・販売事業モデルを比較的構築しやすい都市型JAの営農指導事業にあっても，量的・機能的観点からは，補完・代替が厳しい現状にあることを解明した

No full textThe aim of this study is to consider the significance of exchange learning and joint lessons, which area form of collaborative learning by conducting exchange learning and joint lessons through the online conference system. The three elementary schools signed with the City hall an agreement called “An engagement for the promotion of SDGs” and have built a partnership on the common theme of “promotion of SDGs”. The students in the three elementary schools exchanged their activities and summarized their actions about the partnership in a video. We recognized three effects by analyzing the activities and the studentsʼ reflections on them
The Meanings and the Uses of the English and the Japanese Present-Time Adverbs
Get PDFThe English adverb now and the Japanese adverb ima (ʻnowʼ) refer to utterance time in their deictic uses, indicate reference time in a narrative context, and mark a topic shift or discontinuity at the beginning of an utterance. This paper focuses on their deictic uses, where they seem to differ in their temporal coverage of meaning. The deictic use of now does not occur in past-tense sentences, but ima does.
