    No full text
Managing people's markets is one form of Government and Local Government services to improve the competitiveness of the community, as stated in Law of Indonesia No. 7 of 2014 concerning Trade, followed by Permendagri No. 20 of 2012 concerning Management and Empowerment of Traditional Markets. The existence of people's markets in Indonesia, is one of the local potentials that plays an important role for the livelihood of many people. Utamanews.com (2022) shows that the Tanjung Morawa People's Market located on Jl. Gerilya, Tanjung Morawa District, was named by business people as the worst people's market in Deli Serdang Regency. This research aims to describe the capacity of the Disperindag Deli Serdang in managing the Tanjung Morawa People's Market. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Research data from primary data sources through observation data collection techniques and direct interviews with resource persons, secondary data sources through documentation data collection techniques. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively using the theory of organizational capacity indicators according to Horton et al. (2003: 22), including: HR, infrastructure, technology, budget, and organizational activities. The results of the study revealed that, the Disperindag Deli Serdang did not have the capacity to manage the Tanjung Morawa People's Market as evidenced: HR, the employees of the Disperindag Deli Serdang are unable to provide the size of stalls/los according to the needs of trade in the people's market, so that most business actors turn into street vendors because they need a wider business place. Infrastructure, public markets are not routinely maintained so that public market infrastructure is inadequate. Technology, not utilizing the REPATONIK system as an innovative solution in market retribution collection. Budget, public market revenues often do not reach the target limiting APBD revenues to carry out organizational activities according to the SPT. Organizational activities, such as cleaning activities have not succeeded in creating a cleaning and waste handling system, and have never carried out cooperation activities with the Tanjung Morawa District Government to curb street vendors around the Tanjung Morawa People's Market. It is necessary to strengthen the capacity of human resources in carefully allocating budgets for public market improvements, infrastructure maintenance, technology utilization, and maximizing the implementation of organizational activities according to the SPT.184 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Relationship between Personal Hygiene and the Use of Personal Protective Equipment and Contact Dermatitis Symptoms in Salon Workers

    No full text
Introduction: Contact dermatitis (CD) is one of the most common occupational diseases among salon workers, resulting from exposure to irritants (wet work) and allergens. Behavioral factors such as personal hygiene (PH) and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are considered important for prevention. Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and PPE use on the symptoms of contact dermatitis among salon workers in Cilegon District. Methods: This study used an observational analytic study design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 42 salon workers in Cilegon District, selected using a consecutive sampling technique. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed a low prevalence of contact dermatitis complaints (11.9%). Bivariate analysis showed no statistically significant relationship between personal hygiene (p = 0.716) and the incidence of CD. Furthermore, there was no significant relationship between PPE use (p = 0.153) and the incidence of CD. Discussion/Conclusion: This non-significant finding is strongly suspected to be related to the low availability of PPE from the workplace (83.3% of respondents were not provided with PPE) and the possibility of ineffective PPE use (e.g., plastic gloves). The low prevalence of CD symptoms is also thought to be related to the protective factor of intermittent occupational exposure, where 97.6% of respondents had a total direct contact time of < 5 hours/day. It is concluded that there is no statistical relationship between personal hygiene and PPE use with contact dermatitis symptoms in this population.83 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Implementation of Statistical Quality Control to Control the Number of Babies with Low Birth Weight in North Sumatera in 2021-2023

    No full text
Low birth weight (LBW) cases remain a problem in developing countries. Indonesia, as a developing country, still faces the challenge of low birth weight (LBW) as a public health issue, especially in rural areas with limited access to health facilities. This situation is particularly relevant in North Sumatra, where many remote areas face difficulties in accessing adequate healthcare services. These limitations are exacerbated by low levels of education and a lack of public awareness regarding the importance of nutrition during pregnancy. This contributes to the high rate of babies born with low birth weight (LBW). Low birth weight (LBW) increases the risk of mortality and morbidity. This study aims to observe and conclude which districts/cities in North Sumatra have LBW rates that are outside the control limits. It also seeks to identify districts/cities in North Sumatra that require further evaluation regarding the issue of LBW. The method used is Statistical Quality Control using average control charts (X̄) and range (R). The study used a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis results showed a central line value for the X̄ control chart of 40.323 with an upper control limit (UCL) of 93.953 and a lower control limit (LCL) of -13.307. Meanwhile, the calculation of the R control chart yielded a central line value of 52.424 with an upper control limit (UCL) of 134.992 and a lower control limit (LCL) of 0. From the analysis results, it can be concluded that the X̄ and R control charts are still in an uncontrolled state, as evidenced by the control chart showing several points outside the control limits (out of control).95 PagesKertas Karya Diplom
