Analysis of Clothing Management Habits and Fast Fashion Awareness to Develop a Circular Economy-Based Application
The development of fast fashion has led to an increase in clothing consumption, which has resulted in more textile waste and pressure on the environment. This problem is exacerbated by low awareness and unsustainable clothing management practices among the public. This study aims to analyse people's clothing management habits, their level of knowledge about fast fashion, and the influence of this knowledge on clothing management practices. In addition, this study also aims to examine the potential for developing an application as a solution for reducing clothing waste based on a circular economy. The research methods used are quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents aged 18–50 years from four cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, and Cianjur, as well as in-depth interviews. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and correlation tests to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about fast fashion and clothing management behaviour. The results showed that the public's clothing management habits still tend to be unsustainable, while the level of knowledge about fast fashion is moderate. There is a positive relationship between the level of knowledge about fast fashion and clothing management behaviour. Based on these results, a circular economy-based application prototype was designed, which is expected to increase awareness, facilitate sustainable clothing management, and contribute to reducing textile waste.406 pagesSkripsi Sarjan

Social Capital of the Indonesian Environmental Forum Foundation (Walhi) as a Strategy for the Restoration of the Mangrove Area of Kwala Serapuh Village, Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency
Damage to the mangrove ecosystem in Kwala Serapuh Village, Langkat Regency has
severely affected both the environment and coastal communities. The Indonesian
Forum for the Environment (WALHI) initiated a mangrove restoration effort using a
social capital approach. This study aims to analyze how WALHI utilizes bonding,
bridging, and linking social capital in its restoration strategy, identify challenges
faced, and explore strategies to overcome them. Using a qualitative descriptive
method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, then
analyzed with Miles and Huberman's model and supported by NVivo software.
Findings reveal that bonding social capital fosters internal solidarity and mutual
cooperation. Bridging social capital is established through networks with universities,
NGOs, media, and legal institutions, enhancing advocacy capacity. Linking social
capital is demonstrated by engagement with local government, resulting in formal
village regulations supporting mangrove restoration. NVivo analysis confirms these
results through word clouds, tree maps, and cluster analyses highlighting key themes
of social capital dimensions. Despite challenges such as criminalization, resistance,
and limited resources, WALHI effectively strengthened internal solidarity, external
networks, and formal policy advocacy. This study confirms the applicability of Robert
D. Putnam’s social capital theory in environmental restoration contexts and
contributes valuable insights for developing sustainable coastal ecosystem
management strategies in Indonesia.162 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Effect of Citronella Essential Oil (Cymbopogon nardus) as an Alternative Solvent on the Cleanliness of Bioceramic Sealer on Root Canal Walls in Endodontic Retreatment (In Vitro)
To facilitate endodontic treatment, solvents play a crucial role in thoroughly cleaning old filling materials. The d-limonene compound, which has high solvent properties, is found in citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) essential oil, making this natural ingredient potentially useful as an endodontic solvent. This study was an in vitro experimental study with a post-test only control group design using 30 mandibular premolars that had undergone root canal treatment and obturation with a bioceramic sealer (C-Root SP). The cleanliness of the root canal walls was evaluated using a stereomicroscope and analyzed with ImageJ software to determine the percentage of cleanliness of the bioceramic sealer. The results showed a significant difference (p<0.05) between the group using citronella essential oil as a solvent and the group without a solvent. Based on these results, it can be concluded that citronella essential oil (Cymbopogon nardus) is suitable for use as an alternative solvent based on natural ingredients in endodontic treatment procedures to clean bioceramic sealers on the root canal walls.87 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Isolation and Sequencing of A cDNA Fragment of the pi-d2 Gene for Blast Disease Resistance in Sigudang Rice (Oryza sativa L.) from North Sumatra
Rice blast disease caused by the fungus Pyricularia oryzae is one of the
major threats to rice production. Several resistant genes have been identified to
confer resistance against blast disease, including the pi-d2 gene. The pi-d2 gene
encodes a Receptor-Like Kinase (RLK) protein involved in disease resistance
mechanisms. This study aimed to isolate and sequence a cDNA fragment of the pi-d2
gene associated with blast resistance in Sigudang rice (Oryza sativa L.) from North
Sumatra. Total RNA was isolated from rice leaves then synthesized into cDNA for
amplification. A pi-d2 gene fragment with a final length of 546 bp was successfully
amplified and sequenced. BLASTn analysis showed that the fragment exhibited 100%
identity when compared to the pi-d2 gene sequence of the rice cultivar Leung Pratew
(KP738455.1). The results of phylogenetic analysis of pi-d2 gene fragments from
Sigudang rice with 4 rice cultivars in GenBank (MZ570869.1, KP738455.1,
KX791057.1, KP738452.1) have 0 genetic distance indicating a conserved region.
The pi-d2 gene fragment of Sigudang rice has been registered in Genbank with the
accession code PX219890.1.53 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
