Effect of Molarity and Exposure to Acidic Environment on Durability of Geopolymer Mortar Based on GGBFS and Diatomite
the maximu compressive strength occured at the Diatomite 50% : GGBFS 50% with a molarity of 14 M, reaching 19,9 MPa after 7 days of immersion. Compressive strength decreased withh increasing immersion time. The minimum density change was 0.29% in the variation containing more Diatomite, and density increased with increasing GGBFS content. Performance Analysis of Regular and Horizontally Irregular Buildings in SMRF by Reviewing Torsional Stiffness, Center of Mass, and Center of Resistance due to Earthquakes
Indonesia is a region located at the convergence of the Asian and Pacific earthquake belts, with Medan City, North Sumatra, being one of the areas with high seismic activity. Planning an earthquake-resistant structural system is crucial to prevent damage, especially in buildings with horizontal irregularity. This study aims to analyze the influence of horizontal irregularity in Special Moment-Resisting Frame (SMRF) systems on structural parameters such as the center of mass, center of rigidity, torsional stiffness, deflection, torsional angle, and column reinforcement requirements. Four building models were analyzed: rectangular, U-shaped, T-shaped, and L-shaped, with uniform area and column quantities. The analysis method used was response spectrum analysis with the assistance of MIDAS Gen Academic version 2023 software. The results show that the U-shaped building model exhibits the largest eccentricity, leading to greater torsion, torsional angle, and deformation. This results in increased internal forces in the columns and higher reinforcement requirements. Nursing Care Management for Adolescent Girls with Menstrual Pain Through Finger Grasping Relaxation at Medan Selayang Subdistrict
Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) is a common complaint experienced by adolescent
girls and can negatively impact quality of life and daily activities. This senior
practicum aims to manage nursing care for adolescents with menstrual pain
through the application of finger grip relaxation techniques as a non
pharmacological intervention. This nursing care involved three adolescent girls
aged 16–18 years, with assessments using the PQRST approach, the Numeric
Rating Scale (NRS) for pain, and observations of vital signs and facial expressions.
The intervention was conducted for 10–20 minutes daily over three days. Results
showed a significant decrease in pain scores from the first to the third day,
accompanied by reduced grimacing expressions and discomfort complaints. This
technique proved effective, with severe pain scores (score 8) decreasing to moderate
scores (score 5), was easy to apply, did not require additional tools, and could be
performed independently. In conclusion, finger-gripping relaxation techniques can
serve as a non-pharmacological therapy alternative for managing menstrual pain

The Relationship Between Risk of OSA Measured by The Stop-Bang Questionnaire and Intraocular Pressure In Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma Patients At Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital
Background. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness worldwide, therefore it is often called the silent thief of sight. OSA is a respiratory disease characterized by sleep disturbances and periods of respiratory arrest. These two conditions are hypothesized to be related to each other through several mechanisms, one of which is through the effect of OSA which can increase intraocular pressure. Objective. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the risk of OSA using a screening tool in the form of the STOP-BANG questionnaire with intraocular pressure in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma. Methods. This study was a cross-sectional analytical study with a sample population of primary open-angle glaucoma patients at the ophthalmology polyclinic at Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital, Universitas Sumatera Utara , Medan, 20155, INDONESIA from 20th August to 17th of September 2025. Data analysis was performed using the Fisher's Exact test. Results and Conclusions. Respondents in this study numbered 36, the majority of whom were women and aged 18-65 years. Analysis Of Cadmium (Cd) Levels in White Cabbage (Brassica Oleracea L.) Using Wet Destruction Method With Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS))
Farmers in Namorambe District, Deli Serdang Regency, are still heavily dependent on the intensive use of inorganic fertilizers in their cultivation practices, including for white cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.). Excessive application of inorganic fertilizers can increase the risk of heavy metal accumulation, particularly cadmium (Cd), in plants. Cadmium is a toxic heavy metal that can accumulate in the human body and cause serious health problems when consumed over a long period of time. This study was conducted to determine the concentration of Cd in white cabbage cultivated in Namorambe District and to analyze the effect of different oxidizing agents in the closed wet digestion method on the accuracy of Cd analysis. The cabbage samples were first homogenized and then digested using two types of oxidizing solutions: pure HNO₃ and a mixture of HNO₃:HClO₄ at a ratio of 4:1. The Cd content was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results showed that the Cd concentration in white cabbage reached 0.2761 mg/kg using HNO₃ as the solvent and increased to 0.3619 mg/kg when using the HNO₃:HClO₄ (4:1) mixture. These values exceeded the maximum permissible Cd contamination limit set by SNI 7387:2009, which is 0.2 mg/kg. The HNO₃:HClO₄ (4:1) mixture produced a more effective digestion process, as indicated by the higher Cd concentration compared to digestion using HNO₃ alone. These findings indicate that white cabbage cultivated in the Namorambe area contains Cd levels exceeding the safe consumption limit. Therefore, strict monitoring of inorganic fertilizer use and regular evaluation of agricultural product quality in the region are urgently needed.53 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

This research aims to determine the effect of Job Satisfaction on the Performance of Field Supervisory Partners at the Dairi Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Office with Employee Engagement as an Intervening Variable. This research is associative research and the type of data used is quantitative data. The population of this research is field supervisory partners (PML) at the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Dairi Regency. The sample in this study were all Field Supervisory Partners at BPS Dairi Regency totaling 47 people with the data used were primary data and secondary data obtained through documentation studies, interviews, and a list of questions whose measurements used an interval scale. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis method and path analysis method. The data is processed statistically with the SPSS for windows program, namely the classical assumption test, the t test model, and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this study indicate that partially, each variable of job satisfaction and employee engagement has a positive and significant effect
on job performance, the job performance variable has a significant positive effect on employee engagement. The Effect of Jicama Extract and Red Galangal Extract on the Quality and Shelf Life of Duck Meat
The undesirable quality of duck meat for consumers is influenced by its low
quality, characterized by a fishy odor, tough texture, and being easily perishable.
This study aimed to determine the effect of adding natural ingredients, namely
jicama extract and red galangal extract, as well as the storage time of duck meat,
on its chemical quality, Total Plate Count (TPC), and sensory attributes. The
experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design with a 4 x 4
factorial pattern and 2 replications. Factor 1: Concentration of jicama extract and
red galangal extract addition, P1: (Jicama extract 15 ml + Red galangal extract 5
ml), P2: (Jicama extract 10 ml + Red galangal extract 10 ml), P3: (Jicama extract
5 ml + Red galangal extract 15 ml). Factor 2: Storage time at room temperature,
H0: 0 Hours, H1: 12 Hours, H2: 24 Hours, H3: 36 Hours. The results showed that
the addition of jicama extract and red galangal extract with different doses and
meat storage durations had a significant effect on increasing protein content,
decreasing fat content, reducing microbial contamination, and improving the color,
aroma, and texture quality of duck meat. The best treatment was P3H0, which was
effective in improving the chemical, microbiological, and sensory quality of duck

History of the Taman Pendidikan Islam (TPI) in North Sumatera (1950-1966)
This research explores the historical development of Taman Pendidikan Islam (TPI) between 1950 and 1966. The study aims to: (1) examined the state of Islamic education in North Sumatra prior to the establishment of TPI; (2) investigated the motivations, processes, and progress of TPI's establishment in the region; and (3) evaluate TPI's contributions to the advancement of Islamic education in North Sumatra during the specified period. This research adopted sociologicals approach, employing the concepts of religious movements and Islamic education as analytical frameworks. The historicals method was used to encompassing the stages of source collection (heuristics), source evaluation (criticism), interpretation, and historical writing (historiography). The data sources include interviews with contemporaneous figures and TPI administrators, archives, official documents, TPI reports, correspondence, books, newspapers from this era, and other relevant literature. These sources were critically examined, interpreted, and reconstructed to form a coherent historical narrative. During the early of Indonesian independence, Islamic education in North Sumatra was still very limited, especially in plantation and rural areas. Meanwhile, urban areas such as Medan have developed quite a bit, especially through Islamic organizations such as Al-Washliyah and Muhammadiyah. The plantation areas in North Sumatra are quite large, and are the main foreign exchange earners. The workers are dominated by contract laborers from Java who eventually settled permanently. During the Dutch colonial period until the beginning of Indonesian independence, plantation workers lived in poverty and isolation, lacking in terms of education including religious education. Therefore, TPI, which was founded on May 1, 1950 by Rivai Abdul Manap Nasution, focused its activities on establishing madrasahs in the plantation areas of North Sumatra, Aceh, and Riau. In 17 months (May 1, 1950–September 1951), TPI succeeded in establishing 33 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah units in 31 plantations, involving 43 teachers and educating 2,899 students. In 1963, it developed into 160 Madrasah Rendah (Ibtidaiyah) TPI in plantations. TPI's contribution in North Sumatra includes the establishment of madrasahs in plantation areas, the implementation of Tri Karya Program (tabligh da'wah, education and culture, and social worship), increasing the religious understanding of plantation communities, developing teaching staff through PGAP and PGAA secondary schools, and improving the welfare of TPI teachers, whose salaries are equivalent to plantation office staff. The Influencing Factors of Anemia Incidence in Pregnant Women in Working Area of Bawomataluo Public Health Center Fanayama Sub District South Nias District
Anemia is one of the risk factors for maternal mortality. The incidence of anemia among pregnant women in Indonesia increased from 42.1% in 2015 to 44.2% in 2019. In 2022, the incidence of anemia in North Sumatra increased by 17.7% from 2019 and there were 1.76 percent of pregnant women suffering from anemia in South Nias Regency, then increased to 2.3% in 2023. In the Bawomataluo Health Center there are 48.2% anemic pregnant women. Anemia is prone to occur in pregnant women if the nutritional needs are not fulfilled in the mother. This study aims to determine the influencing factors of anemia in pregnant women at Bawomataluo Health Center working area. This study used analytic survey method with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with a sample size about 85 samples of pregnant women. Analysis method using simple poisson log-linear regression and poisson log-linear multiple regression. The results showed that 47 pregnant women (55.3%) suffered the anemia. The bivariate test showed that there is a relationship between parity (p value = 0.038), obedience of taking Fe tablets (p value = 0.001), and frequency of ANC (Antenatal Care) visits (p value = 0.001) with anemia in pregnant women. There was no association of age (p value = 0.910), pregnancy interval (p value = 0.534), education level (p value = 0.304) and economic status (p value = 0.694) with anemia in pregnant women. Multivariate test showed that parity (p value = 0,033 ; PR= 1,598) and the frequency of ANC visits (p value = 0.001; PR = 1.994) had an influence on the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.
