The Effect of Growing Media and Time of Nutrient Application on the Growth and Yield of Red Amaranth Microgreens (Amaranthus tricolor L.)
Microgreens are a new innovation in urban agriculture. Red spinach microgreens are nutrient rich plants that are beneficial for health and provide a solution to limited land availability with a short harvest period and can be consumed directly. However, their cultivation requires appropriate growing media and nutrients to enhance microgreen yields. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the effects of growing media and time of nutrient application on the growth and yield of red spinach microgreens. The research was conducted at Royal Sumatera, Jl. Cluster Topaz No. 151, Medan Tuntungan, North Sumatra Province, at an elevation of approximately 32 meters above sea level, from March 2025 to May 2025. The study was designed based on a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was the type of medium (charcoal husk, cocopeat, cocopeat + vermiculite), and the second factor is the time of nutrient application (3–6 days) 300 ppm, (7–10 days) 500 ppm, (11–14 days) 700 ppm; (4–7 days) 300 ppm, (8–11 days) 500 ppm, (12–14 days) 700 ppm; (5–8 days) 300 ppm, (9–12 days) 500 ppm, (12–14 days) 700 ppm. The research results show that the cocopeat growing medium treatment produced the higher plants (3–12 HST), heavier fresh shoot weight (142,66 grams), and was followed by the vermiculite + cocopeat growing medium. The nutrient application period (3–6 days) 300 ppm, (7–10 days) 500 ppm, (11–14 days) 700 ppm after planting, resulted in higher total flavonoid content compared to nutrient application time of (4–7 days) 300 ppm, (8–11 days) 500 ppm, (12–14 days) 700 ppm, and (5–8 days) 300 ppm, (9–12 days) 500 ppm, (12–14 days) 700 ppm. Strategic Planning for the Development of Silalahi III Village, Dairi Regency, in the Context of Developing the Village's Local Economic Potential
The local economic potential of a village is an important asset for
promoting community growth and welfare. However, efforts to maximize this
potential are often hampered by development programs that are unfocused and
not aligned with the village's vision and mission. Many government programs are
general in nature and do not accommodate the specific strengths of the village,
resulting in suboptimal and unsustainable development. Therefore, a targeted and
sustainable village development plan is needed to optimize local economic
potential. This study aims to describe the process of strategic planning for optimal
village development in the context of local economic potential in Silalahi III
Village, Dairi Regency.
This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative
approach, data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and
documentation. Data were obtained and analyzed qualitatively with David and
David's theory (2016) which includes environmental analysis, vision-mission, and
strategy matching and selection.
The results of the study indicate that the strategic planning process for the
development of Silalahi III village has been carried out through a deliberative
planning process to discuss the vision and mission of the village head, the key
points of the Village Council (BPD), and the general initiatives of the community,
thereby formulating strategies for the development of local economic potential.
Although this process has been carried out, the resulting strategies have not fully
focused on the development of existing local economic potential in the village.
The strategic planning process has not been maximized in developing the village's
local economic potential, and there are several shortcomings in the strategic
planning. First, the analysis of the external and internal environment was not
followed up with mapping using the IFE and EFE matrices, making it difficult to
prioritize strategic economic potential. Second, the analysis of the vision and
mission was not thorough, resulting in strategies that are not fully aligned with
the development mission. Third, the selection and implementation of strategies
were not supported by a comprehensive SWOT analysis, relying more on
community consensus and previous strategies. Therefore, there is a need to
improve the quality of environmental analysis through the use of the IFE and EFE
matrices, as well as strengthen the analysis of vision and mission to ensure
alignment with development objectives. Additionally, it is recommended to
conduct a more in-depth SWOT analysis to ensure that the resulting strategies are

Analysis of Competitiveness and Factors Affecting the Volume of Indonesian Coffee Exports to the United States and Germany
Coffee is one of the agricultural commodities that contributes greatly to the country's foreign exchange earnings, namely USD 1.15 billion with an export volume of 437.56 thousand tons in 2022 or 2.73% of total plantation commodity exports (Agricultural Data and Information System Center, Ministry of Agriculture 2023). Indonesia exports coffee to the largest destination countries, namely the United States and Germany for the past 30 years. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness and factors that influence the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to the United States and Germany. The analysis model used in this study is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to see how competitive Indonesian coffee is in the United States and Germany and the Error Correction Model (ECM) to analyze the factors that influence the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to the United States and Germany. The data used in this study is secondary time series data from 1994-2023. The results of the study indicate that Indonesian coffee has strong export competitiveness. In the long term, GDP and International Coffee Price variables have a negative impact while Production, Consumption and Price of Substitute Goods are positively related. In the short term, GDP, Consumption and Price of Substitute Goods are positively related while International Coffee Price and Production are negatively related for the United States. In the short term, Germany shows that GDP and Consumption are negatively related while International Coffee Price, Production and Price of Substitute Goods are positively related.101 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Formulation and Anti-Acne Activity Test Nanohydrogel Ethanol Extract of Agarwood Leaves (Aquilaria malaccensis Lam.)
Background: Acne is an inflammation that occurs due to excess oil production, clogged skin pores, and acne-triggering bacteria. Agarwood leaves (Aquilaria malaccensis Lam.) contain flavonoid and tannin secondary metabolite compounds that have potential as antibacterials so that they can be used to reduce acne on facial skin. Nanohydrogel is a preparation that has the potential to increase the
effectiveness of active substances as anti-acne. Objective: This study aims to formulate a nanohydrogel preparation of ethanol
extract of agarwood leaves and test the antibacterial activity against
Propionibacterium acnes and anti acne of nanohydrogel preparations using ethanol extract of agarwood leaves (Aquilaria malaccensis Lam.) against volunteers. Methods: The ethanol extract of agarwood leaves was prepared by maceration method, then the extract was made into nanoparticles. Antibacterial activity test against Propionibacterium acnes. Nanohydrogel preparations formulated are F1 (2%), F2 (4%) and F3 (6%). Evaluation of nanohydrogels in the form of particle size test, organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, cycling test, stability at room temperature for 12 weeks, irritation test and antibacterial activity test. Anti-acne activity test on volunteers using a skin analyzer by comparing the
state of facial skin before and after 4 weeks of use of the preparation used 2 times a day with the parameters of sebum levels and the number of acne. Results: The nanoparticle concentration of ethanol extract of agarwood leaves that produces an effective inhibition diameter is 20 mg/ml, which is 11.13 ± 0.66 mm. Nanohydrogel preparations meet the evaluation requirements, stability during 12 weeks of storage, cycling tests, and do not cause skin irritation. The results of the antibacterial activity test of nanohydrogel preparations F1 (2%), F2 (4%), and F3 (6%) have inhibition zones of 13.73 ± 0.15 mm, 14.73 ± 0.15 mm, 15.63 ± 0.21 mm, respectively. The results of the anti-acne activity test on the F3 (6%) nanohydrogel preparation showed a percent decrease in oil content of 33.95% and a percent decrease in the number of acne by 53.77%.Conclusion: Nanohydrogel preparation F3 (6%) showed the most effective antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes bacteria and can be used as anti-acne against volunteers.180 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
The Relationship of Knowledge and Attitudes with The Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by Nurses at Inpatient Installation of Rantauprapat Regional Hospital
The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a crucial effort in protecting healthcare workers from the risks of occupational accidents and nosocomial infections. In reality, many healthcare workers still do not use Protective Equipment (PPE) optimally. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among nurses at inpatient instalation of RSUD Rantauprapat. This research employed a cross-sectional approach. The population for this study included all nurses working in the non-surgical, isolation, and pediatric inpatient units, with a sample size of 58 nurses selected using a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The variables examined were nurses' knowledge, attitude, and their use of PPE. The analysis results indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge and PPE use (p = 0,000 < p = 0,05), and there is also a relationship between attitude and PPE use (p = 0,000 < p = 0,05) among nurses at inpatient instalation of RSUD Rantauprapat. It is suggested that the hospital management enhance supervision, issue warnings to nurses who do not comply with proper Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, and impose sanctions on nurses who fail to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).80 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Isolation and Identification of Flavonoid Compounds From The Leaves of The Iriancis (Impatiens hawkeri W.Bull)
Isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds from the leaves of the Iriancis (Impatiens hawkeri W.Bull) have been carried out through the maceration extraction stage with methanol solvent. Concentrated methanol extract was dissolved with ethyl acetate. Concentrated ethyl acetate extract was dissolved with methanol and partitioned using n-hexane. The methanol layer was then evaporated until all the methanol had evaporated. The concentrated methanol extract was then analyzed by TLC, then separated using coloumn chromatography with silica gel as the stationary phase and chloroform : methanol (90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40) v /v as the mobile phase. The pure compound obtained was in the form of a yellow armorphous solid with a mass of 5.3 mg with an Rf value 0f 0,28 using n-hexane : ethyl acetate eluent 70 : 30 v /v. Based on UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis with methanol solvent shows a wavelength (λmax) of 280 nm and 355 nm. The FT-IR spectrum shows the presence of O-H, C-H sp3 , C=O ketone, C=C aromatic, C-H sp3 bend, C-O-C, and C-H sp2 groups respectively at wave numbers 3427,51 cm-1 ; 2922,16 cm-1 ; 1734,01 cm-1 ; 1463,97 cm1 ; 1381,03 cm-1 ; 1122,57 cm-1 ; 721,38 cm-1 . The 1H-NMR spectrum shows the presence of protons H-2’, H-6’, H-3’, H-5’, H-8, H-6, OCH3. Fiscal Decentralization in the Management of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) through The Policy of Increasing the Sale Value of Taxable Objects (NJOP) in Pematangsiantar City for The 2021–2023 Period
Fiscal decentralization is a policy that grants authority to regional
governments to independently manage finances and revenue sources. Within the
framework of regional autonomy, strengthening Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD)
is essential to achieving fiscal independence. One of the efforts made by the
Government of Pematangsiantar City to increase PAD was through the policy of
raising the Sales Value of Taxable Object (NJOP), as outlined in Mayor Regulation
Number 4 of 2021. However, in its implementation, the policy received various
responses from the public due to the substantial increase and the lack of public
participation in the policymaking process. Therefore, this research was conducted
to analyze the NJOP increase policy as a fiscal instrument.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained
through interviews with the Head and Head of Revenue Division I of the Regional
Financial and Revenue Management Agency (BPKPD) of Pematangsiantar City,
the Mayor of Pematangsiantar for the 2017–2022 period, a representative from the
Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), and community members
directly affected by the policy. This study was analyzed using the rational policy
model by Herbert Simon, further developed by Barros (2010), which includes four
indicators: defining the problem, setting policy objectives, generating policy
alternatives, and selecting and implementing solutions.
Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the NJOP increase
policy in Pematangsiantar City was mainly driven by the need to increase PAD due
to the region's low fiscal independence. However, the policy was established without
active community participation and without a phased approach, leading to public
resistance. Moreover, the policy initially had a negative impact on PAD, although a
nominal increase was observed in the following year. Nevertheless, the policy has
not yet fully reflected the principles of rational, inclusive, and participatory

Design and Manufacture of IoT-Based Microplastic Detection Device Using BPW34 Photodiode Optical Sensor
Microplastics are plastic particles smaller than 5 mm that have become one of the main pollutants in water bodies. The Deli River in Medan City is one of the areas affected due to high domestic waste and poor waste management. This study aims to design a microplastic detection tool based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a BPW34 photodiode sensor. The system works by measuring the infrared light reflectance from plastic particles in the water, then transmitting the data in real-time to the ThingSpeak platform. This tool consists of the BPW34 sensor, which is sensitive to the 320–1100 nm spectrum, combined with a halogen lamp, an IR720 filter, an LM358 amplifier, and an ESP32 microcontroller. The sensor calibration showed an average error of only 0.94%. Testing was conducted at three points on the Deli River (upstream, middle, downstream) at four different times over three days. The highest reflectance was recorded at the downstream point, with a peak reflectance of 87.1% at an intensity of 6976 Lux during hot weather, and the lowest at the upstream point with 9.5% at 765 Lux during light rain. This tool has proven effective in detecting microplastics in the field, with easy real-time data monitoring through IoT. This system offers a practical, affordable, and potential solution for sustainable water quality monitoring, especially in areas with limited laboratory facilities.103 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Correlation Between D-Dimer Levels with Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet Lymphocyte Ratio in Deep Vein Thrombosis Patients
Introduction: Venous thromboembolism is a vascular disease that causes deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). The occurrence of DVT is associated with the activation of coagulation factors, which can be accelerated by inflammatory mediators in the microenvironment, and is associated with impaired fibrinolysis processes that produce degradation products, namely d-dimer. D-dimer examination has a negative predictive value (NPV) so it can be used as a screening tool for patients at risk of thromboembolism. Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) examination is a parameter to evaluate chronic inflammation based on total neutrophils and lymphocytes. Platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is the ratio of the number of platelets to lymphocytes obtained from the same blood sample as an inflammatory marker. NLR and PLR can be easily found through complete blood tests to reflect hemostasis and inflammation that can detect DVT. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between d-dimer levels with NLR and PLR in DVT patients at Adam Malik Hospital.
Methods: This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional method. Secondary data from medical records of patients diagnosed with DVT at Adam Malik Hospital in the period June 2022 to June 2024. The independent variables are NLR and PLR. The dependent variable is d-dimer in DVT patients. Data analysis was performed using statistical tests with Spearman rho test analysis.
Results: From 100 samples obtained, the majority of patients were aged > 59 years (38%), the proportion of gender is perfectly balanced between male and female, patients with the most comorbid infections (71%), the majority of patients' length of hospitalization > 7 days (62%). Bivariate analysis showed that d-dimer was significantly correlated with NLR (p = 0.001, r = +0.350) and however d-dimer was not correlated with PLR (p = 0.610, r = -0.052).
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between d-dimer and NLR but there is no correlation between d-dimer and PLR in DVT patients at Adam Malik Hospital80 PagesTesis Magiste

Moringa leaf flour is a plant that contains good nutrients and high levels of
antinutrients. One effort to degrade crude fiber and detoxify antinutrients is through
fermentation with cow rumen fluid. This study aims to determine the effect of using
fermented moringa leaf flour with cow rumen fluid on dry matter digestibility and
organic matter digestibility of laying quail. This study was conducted at the Animal
Husbandry Study Program and Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture,
University of North Sumatra from February to April 2024. The design used was a
completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications, where each
replication contained 5 laying quail. The treatments consisted of P0 (100% basal
feed), P1 (96% basal feed + 4% fermented moringa leaf flour), P2 (92% basal feed
+ 8% fermented moringa leaf flour), and P3 (88% basal feed + 12% fermented
moringa leaf flour. The results showed that the addition of fermented moringa leaf
flour with cow rumen fluid in the feed had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on
dry matter and organic matter digestibility in laying quail. The best treatment was
