Community Organizing Strategies by Srikandi Lestari Foundation in Campaigning for Climate Change Issues
One of the biggest contributors to climate change is coal-fired power plants. The impact of environmental damage due to PLTU emissions is most felt by communities that depend on natural resources for their survival. In dealing with this problem, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as Yayasan Srikandi Lestari play a role as a counterweight and controller in the development process carried out by the government. With a community-oriented approach, the foundation seeks to create more equitable and sustainable change. This research aims to analyze the community organizing strategy carried out by Yayasan Srikandi Lestari in advocating climate change issues. Community organizing is one of the methods in social work (mezzo intervention) that aims to bring change through three main approaches: locality development, social planning, and social action. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with interview, observation, and documentation techniques to collect data. The results showed that the strategy implemented by Yayasan Srikandi Lestari refers to Rothman's approach, which includes locality development, social planning, and social action. This strategy is carried out by utilizing the categorization of community action goals, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. In its implementation, the foundation emphasizes participatory and humanist principles as the basis for community organizing. The campaigns include online campaigns on social media and direct campaigns on the streets. This research recommends that Yayasan Srikandi Lestari develop more systematic intervention stages and adopt broader community intervention principles to increase campaign effectiveness and strengthen community independence in environmental advocacy.201 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Acute Toxicity Test of Pomegranate Peel Extract Nanogel (Punica Granatum L.) on Kidney of Wistar Rat as an Adjunctive Therapy for Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal disease is a progressive inflammatory condition affecting the supporting tissues of the teeth, caused by microbial infection, primarily due to biofilm accumulation. This disease has a high prevalence worldwide, including in Indonesia, which reached 74.1% in 2022. Conventional treatment through mechanical therapy and synthetic drugs often has limitations, including side effects and potential issues such as antibiotic resistance. Therefore, alternative treatments using herbal medicine, such as pomegranate peel extract (Punica granatum L.), have emerged as a safer option. Pomegranate contains active compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and punicalagin, which demonstrate antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory activities. The use of herbal extracts formulated as nanogels for topical therapy of periodontal disease requires risk evaluation, one of which is through toxicity test. Acute toxicity test of pomegranate peel extract nanogel needs to be conducted to assess its potential toxic effects and ensure its safety for use. This study aims to evaluate the toxicity caused by pomegranate peel extract nanogel (Punica granatum L.) as an adjunctive therapy for periodontal treatment on Wistar rats. This is an experimental laboratory study with a posttest control group design. The research sample consists of 30 female Wistar rats divided into control groups (Na-CMC 0.5%) and treatment groups (5 mg/kg BW, 50 mg/kg BW, 300 mg/kg BW, and 2000 mg/kg BW. The parameters in the acute toxicity test include LD50, observation of toxic symptoms, mortality, body weight of the animals, kidney weight, macroscopic examination of the kidney, creatinine test, and histopathology of the kidneys in rats. The results showed no significant differences (p > 0.05) between the control and treatment groups in terms of body weight, relative kidney weight, and creatinine levels. Histopathological analysis also showed no signs of kidney damage at the low dose, but there was inflamation at the dose of 200 mg/kg body weight. The conclusion of this study is that the gradual administration of the pomegranate peel extract nanogel only caused mild toxic effects and is still considered safe.101 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Improved Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm in Solving Route Problems JNE Cabang Utama Medan Amplas Trade Center
Afficient good distributions is a crucial factor in modern logistics services. JNE Cabang
Utama Medan Amplas Trade Center faces challenges in determining optimal delivery
routes to minimize travel time. This study aim to design a delivery route system based
on Improved Ant Colony Optimization (IACO) Algorithm to solve routing problem for
JNE Cabang Utama Medan Amplas Trade Center. A total of 48 delivery points, were
analyzed and groupinto 15clusters using the K-Means Algorithm, based on gegraphical
proximity. Each cluster represents the coverage area for an individual delivery vehicle.
IACO was then applied to determine to optimal visiting sequence within each cluster,
with the route starting and ending at the depot. The result demonstrate that this
approachcan generate delivery routes with a total distance of 4188.6 km, which
is more efficient 12.66% than nonoptimal approach. Further experimentation with
a 13-vehicle configuration demonstrated even higher efficiency, yielding a distance
reduction of 18.33%, lowering the initial total travel distance from 4795.7 km to
3917 km. These results indicate that the 13-vehicle configuration provides superior
performance compared to the 15-vehicle configuration. Therefore, the use of 13 vehicles
is identified as the most optimal solution, as it delivers the greatest distance savings
and enhances the overall distribution efficiency of JNE Medan Amplas Trade Center.
Therefore, the IACO algorithm proves to be effective in supporting logistical decision
making, particulary in the context of multi-vehicle route planning.60 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Imposition of Chemical Castration on Perpetrators of Child Sexual IntercourseaAnd Its Relation to Human Rights (Analysis of Decision Number: 5/Pid.Sus/2022/PN Bjm and Number 859/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Bjm)
Chemical castration is a relatively new concept in Indonesia's criminal justice system, and its application to perpetrators of sexual intercourse with children remains controversial from a human rights perspective. The issues raised in this thesis are: 1) How is the criminal offense of sexual assault against children, as a form of sexual violence, regulated under Indonesian criminal law?; 2) How is the implementation of chemical castration for perpetrators of sexual assault against children regulated, and how does it relate to human rights in Indonesia?; 3) How do judges consider the imposition of chemical castration on perpetrators of child sexual abuse in the decisions of the Banjarmasin District Court No. 5/Pid.Sus/2022/PN Bjm and No. 859/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Bjm? This study uses a normative legal research method that utilizes secondary data obtained from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources through literature review and case studies, employing qualitative analysis. The study concludes that, in addition to
the Criminal Code (KUHP), the regulation of child sexual abuse offenses is also addressed in several other regulations, including: the Child Protection Law, the TPKS Law, the TPPO Law, and the PKDRT Law. The procedure for chemical castration is carried out in three stages: clinical assessment, conclusion, and implementation (execution). The consequence of implementing chemical castration is the revocation of the right to procreate, which is one of the human rights that are derogable rights. Although chemical castration is temporary, its negative side effects have the potential to become an act of torture, thereby contradicting the provisions of Article 33(1) of Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights, which guarantees the right to be free from all forms of torture, a nonderogable right. The judge in Judgment No. 5/Pid.Sus/2022/PN Bjm and No.859/Pid. Sus/2023/PN Bjm imposed a chemical castration sentence on the perpetrator, emphasizing sociological considerations, namely the various harms suffered by the child victim based on the facts presented in court, which were qualified as aggravating factors for the defendant, including the perpetrator's status as the stepfather and religious teacher of the child victim153 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
