The Influence of Grit and Job Satisfaction on Job Hopping Intention of Generation Z Employees in Medan City

    No full text
This study aims to determine the influence of grit and job satisfaction on job hopping intention among Generation Z employees in Medan City. Grit is defined as perseverance and passion in achieving long-term goals, while job satisfaction refers to the level of contentment individuals feel towards their jobs. Job hopping intention refers to employees’ tendency to switch jobs within a short period. This research used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 150 Generation Z employees aged 18–30 years with less than two years of work experience. Data were collected through an online questionnaire consisting of three scales: the Grit-S scale, Job Satisfaction scale, and Job Hopping Intention scale. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that grit and job satisfaction simultaneously had a significant effect on job hopping intention, with job satisfaction having a more dominant influence. These findings suggest that high job satisfaction can reduce the intention of Generation Z employees to change jobs, whereas a high level of grit does not significantly reduce their job hopping intention.124 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

So far, the realization of tax revenue has not been optimal. Not yet optimal realization of tax revenue is due to the large number of tax arrears that are not paid by taxpayers. One of the ways that the Directorate General of Taxes increases state revenue from the tax sector is by carrying out a collection action that has compelling legal force. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness and contribution of tax collection with tax bills, warning letters, compulsory letters, confiscation warrants (SPMP) against tax revenues. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive to provide an overview of whether tax collection with tax bills, warning letters, compulsory letters, confiscation warrants (SPMP) is effective or not, and how much contribution is given to tax revenue. The data analysis technique used is descriptive ratio analysis. The test results show that tax collection with a tax bill is classified as effective, tax collection with a warning letter is classified as ineffective, tax collection with a letter of force is classified as ineffective, tax collection with a foreclosure warrant (SPMP) is classified as ineffective. Barangan banana (Musa acuminata L.) is one of Indonesia’s leading horticultural commodities with significant economic value. However, it is highly susceptible to postharvest deterioration due to rapid physiological processes. One promising approach to extend its shelf life and maintain fruit quality is the application of natural-based edible coatings. This study aimed to evaluate the characteristics and effectiveness of an edible coating formulated from durian seed starch nanoparticles combined with cinnamon essential oil (Cinnamomum burmannii) in prolonging the shelf life of Barangan bananas. Starch nanoparticles were produced using acid hydrolysis and incorporated into edible coating solutions with varying concentrations of cinnamon essential oil (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%), applied via the dipping method. Characterization was performed using FTIR, PSA, iodine test, antibacterial assay, weight loss measurement, titratable acidity (TAT), Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR), and Total Plate Count (TPC). The results revealed that the viscosity of the edible coating increased with higher concentrations of essential oil. The formulation with 1% cinnamon essential oil exhibited an average particle size of 183.14 nm, formed a strong matrix through O-H, C=O, and C-O-C functional group interactions, and showed the highest antibacterial activity, with inhibition zones of 25.7 mm against E. coli and 26 mm against S. aureus. Moreover, this formulation effectively reduced weight loss by up to 16.7%, slowed the decrease in acidity, and lowered the WVTR to 0.0179 kg/s·m² compared to the control. TPC analysis also showed a value of 3.65 × 10³ CFU/mL, which is within the safety limits specified by Indonesian National Standards (SNI). Therefore, the edible coating based on durian seed starch nanoparticles with 1% cinnamon essential oil is proven to effectively extend shelf life and maintain the quality of barangan bananas during storage.83 pagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
The development of high-capacity power generation systems capable of utilizing low-temperature heat sources is one of the key priorities in renewable energy technology. This study aims to analyze and optimize a thermal system that integrates the biomass pyrolysis process with an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), using Aspen Plus simulation software. Two system configurations are examined: the Basic ORC and the ORC with a recuperator, along with performance evaluations of various refrigerants, including R123, R141b, R245fa, R134a, butane, isobutane, pentane, R601, R1234YF, and R1234ze. The modeling is based on a thermodynamic approach through energy and exergy analyses to compare the performance of different configurations and working fluids. The simulation results show that the application of a recuperator consistently improves thermal efficiency and expander power output. R1234YF exhibits the best performance, achieving a thermal efficiency of 14.04% and a maximum expander power of 1.67 kJ/s. The implementation of a dual-evaporator configuration further enhances the energy quality of the working fluid and expands the utilization of waste heat, resulting in superior performance compared to conventional single-stage systems. The integration of biomass pyrolysis with the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), supported by effective heat recovery and the appropriate selection of refrigerants, holds significant potential in improving energy conversion efficiency. This study recommends the development of more sustainable, adaptive, and efficient ORC systems for low-temperature waste heat recovery applications.114 PagesTesis Magiste

    No full text
The development of AI has opened up new dimensions in various aspects of human life, including in creative fields such as the creation of writing and literary works. The written works produced by AI can then be utilized by users to make a writing in the form of a book or other literary works, which can be published and distributed through various platforms for economic purposes. This has led to confusion regarding legal arrangements in Indonesia which have not comprehensively regulated copyright. This research discusses the basic concepts and characteristics of AI in relation to its relevance to existing regulations in Indonesia, and its regulation in other countries. This research discusses the use of AI in producing written works as well as its use in a commercial perspective in Indonesian regulations. This research uses normative juridical legal research method through statute approach and conceptual approach by referring to primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials with library research collection method to strengthen the research being conducted. AI in Indonesian law has not yet gained an equal position with humans and legal entities as legal subjects. The written works created with the help of AI can still get copyright protection, provided that AI is only considered as an auxiliary tool, not the main creator. AI-generated written works can get legal protection if they fulfill the elements of fixation, originality, and creativity. Thus, the commercial use of AI-generated written works is not an infringement as long as the resulting work has the distinctive and personal nature of the user to obtain legal protection.128 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
