    Pharmacist Professional Work Practice In The Pharmaceutical Industry at PT. Daewoong Biologics Indonesia

    Background: The pharmaceutical industry is a licensed business entity engaged in the manufacturing of drugs and/or drug substances in accordance with existing regulations. All manufacturing activities must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Pharmacists play a key role as responsible personnel in production, quality assurance, and quality control to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products. The Professional Pharmacist Work Practice in the pharmaceutical industry is essential to provide pharmacy students with knowledge, skills, and practical experience in the application of GMP principles. Objective: This Professional Pharmacist Work Practice aims to enhance the understanding of pharmacy students regarding the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to gain practical experience in implementing GMP, particularly at PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia. Summary: The Professional Pharmacist Work Practice was conducted at PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia, Jababeka, from March 3 to April 30, 2025. The activities included placement in the Quality Control department (physical-chemical and microbiology sections) and training in other departments. Pharmacists play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficacy of pharmaceutical products from raw materials to finished products. PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia has consistently implemented GMP in all aspects, including quality management systems, personnel, facilities, equipment, sanitation and hygiene, production, quality control, self-inspection, quality audit, documentation, outsourcing activities, validation, and qualification. Conclusion: The Professional Pharmacist Work Practice at PT Daewoong Biologics Indonesia provided comprehensive insights into the application of GMP in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the processing of cell-based products. Pharmacists have proven to be key personnel responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of drugs.     This study discusses the phenomenon of dual roles experienced by female weavers of the Batak Toba ethnic group in Pansurnapitu Simarlailai Village. Women in this community are not only responsible for domestic work such as taking care of the household and children, but also play an active role in economic activities by weaving ulos cloth as an effort to support family needs. In the Batak Toba community which still adheres to a patrilineal kinship system, women often face social pressure and gender inequality, which burdens their dual roles. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods for informants consisting of weavers and traditional leaders. The results of the study show that female weavers experience physical and psychological stress due to the demands of carrying out two roles at once. However, they continue to show resilience and adaptive strategies such as dividing their time efficiently and building social networks. This study emphasizes the importance of public awareness and government support in easing the burden on women through a fairer division of roles and economic empowerment. These findings contribute to the study of gender anthropology, especially related to the dynamics of women's roles in traditional societies that are transforming.Skripsi Sarjan

    The Procedure For Implementation Of Tax Confiscation By Baid Officers Towards Corporate Taxpayers At Low Tax Office Of Lubuk Pakam

    The Directorate General of Taxes through tax bailiffs has the authority to carry out confiscation actions as a legal effort in order to collect and enforce payment of tax debts from non-compliant taxpayers. However, in its implementation, tax bailiffs still experience many difficulties in carrying out their duties because taxpayers always avoid being confiscated due to a lack of understanding of the confiscation procedures carried out by bailiffs. This study aims to determine how the procedures for implementing confiscation by tax bailiffs are against corporate taxpayers and to assess the suitability of the procedures that have been implemented at Low Tax Office of Lubuk Pakam dan to identify the terms and conditions that must be met by the Directorate General of Taxes before carrying out confiscation actions and to explain the legal efforts that can be taken by corporate taxpayers if they do not agree with the confiscation actions taken. This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research method. The location of the study was at Low Tax Office of Lubuk Pakam, which is located at the State Finance Building, Floors 2 and 4, Jl. Pangeran Diponegoro No.30A, Madras Hulu, Medan Polonia District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. The study was conducted in April 2025 to May 2025. The results of this study indicate that the confiscation procedure by tax bailiffs begins with the issuance of a writ of execution, then a confiscation order, followed by the implementation of the confiscation and the issuance of a report. The study also shows that the confiscation actions carried out by the bailiffs at Low Tax Office of Lubuk Pakam are in accordance with applicable laws. The terms and conditions that must be prepared by the Directorate General of Taxes before carrying out a confiscation are that the taxpayer's debt is due, issuing a writ of execution, and the confiscation must be carried out by an authorized bailiff. The results of this study indicate legal remedies that can be taken by corporate taxpayers if they do not agree with the confiscation actions taken, filing a lawsuit with the tax court, and being able to submit a judicial review to the Supreme Court.78 PagesKertas Karya Diplom

    The Effect of Individual Characteristics and Personal Hygiene on Skin Disorders in Scavenger in Final Waste Disposal Site in Terjun Village Medan Marelan

    Skin disorders are among the most common health problems worldwide, affecting nearly 900 million people. Occupational skin diseases are particularly prevalent, with waste pickers being among the most vulnerable groups due to their high-risk working environments. Factors contributing to skin disorders among waste pickers include biological exposures in the workplace-such as fungi, viruses, and bacteria found in waste-as well as behavioral factors such as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and personal hygiene practies. This study aimed to analyze the influence of individual characteristics and personal hygiene on skin disorders among waste pickers at the Terjun Landfill in Medan Marelan. This research employed a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 82 waste pickers. Bivariate analysis was conducted using the chi-square test, while multivariate analysis was performed using logistic regression. The results showed that 71 respondents (86.6%) experienced skin disorders. There were significant associations between skin disorders and work duration (p = 0.005), medical history (p = 0.001), PPE use (p = 0.003), skin hygiene (p = 0.007), and hand, foot, and nail hygiene (p = 0.001). Further analysis revealed that medical history (p = 0.041), skin hygiene (p = 0.007), and hand, foot, and nail hygiene (p = 0.001) significantly influenced the occurrence of skin disorders among waste pickers. The most dominant factor was skin hygiene, with an Exp.B value of 39.603. It is recommended that waste pickers at the Terjun Landfill, Medan Marelan consistently use complete PPE while working and maintain good personal hygiene practices such as cleaning their entire body after work, changing work clothes daily, and washing them thoroughly.     Implementation of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is to realize the fulfillment of essential protection and a decent life for every worker and his family through a social security system, which is implemented based on Undang-Undang Number 24 of 2011 concerning the Social Security Organizing Agency. Informal sector workers have little formal education, no special skills, and lower incomes than formal workers. Informal workers can enroll in a minimum of 2 programs, including the Work Accident and Death Insurance Program, and They can choose an additional Old Age Security program for their old age savings. The number of workers not registered in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program is an obstacle for the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Lhokseumawe in expanding BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership coverage. This research was made to formulate strategies and policies to increase the participation of informal workers in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Lhokseumawe and analyze the inhibiting and influencing factors in increasing BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership in informal workers in Lhokseumawe City. The type of research used is qualitative research combining two analysis techniques, SWOT analysis and Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection is in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Survey conducted among informal workers. Data analysis was applied through SWOT Space Matrix and QSPM analysis.     Analysis of Financial Statements to Measure Financial Performance Based on Profitability Ratios at PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk in 2022-2024

    This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk during the 2022–2024 period using profitability ratios, including Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE). The analysis was conducted to determine how efficiently the company generates profits through its management of revenue, assets, and equity. The method used is descriptive quantitative, utilizing secondary data obtained from the company’s annual financial statements published on the official website and the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Profitability ratios were calculated for each year to assess the financial performance trend over three consecutive years. The results show that the NPM and ROA ratios are categorized as excellent based on industry standards, with average values of 40.7% and 2.52%, respectively. This reflects strong operational efficiency and effective asset management. However, ROE remains in the poor category with an average of 19%, despite a temporary increase in 2023. Overall, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk demonstrates positive financial performance, particularly in operational efficiency and asset utilization.     Manufacture of Semi-Mechanical Palm Processing Tools to Become CPO (Crude Palm Oil)

    At the moment, the demand for fried oil in the global market is very high, as is Indonesia, where the demand is growing every day and the fried petroleum market in Indonesia is dominated by palm coconut oil. The plantations that this individual owns usually produce only the raw fruit of the palm tree without any processing. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to make a semi-mechanical palm processing device into a crude palm oil (CPO) where this tool functions to crushed the palm with a knife inside it that is driven by a propulsion motor which will produce CPO. The results indicate that the effective capacity of the palm oil processing equipment is 127.40 kg/hour. The average yield obtained when using this equipment is 16.22%. Fuel consumption is 2.56 l/hour. For the economic analysis, the Break-Even Point (BEP) value obtained 11,964.71 kg/year. The NPV at an interest rate of 6% is 15,411,655.45 IDR/ year, and at an interest rate of 20%, the NPV is -646,364.07IDR. The IRR obtained is 19.44%, This tool is very helpful for palm oil farmers in producing crude oil, as it has a higher economic yield compared to just selling fresh fruit bunches or raw palm fruit.114 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    Bio-Oil Characteristics of Three Types of Mangrove Branches

    Mangrove wood is known to have a high calorific value; therefore, it has traditionally been used as a source of firewood by our ancestors. Continuous exploitation has caused mangrove forests to degrade and their ecological functions to diminish. For this reason, this study utilizes only the branch parts of mangrove wood to ensure that mangrove forests remain preserved and sustainable. Furthermore, this research focuses on diversifying energy sources. Previous studies have produced briquettes, pellets, charcoal, and charcoal briquettes from mangrove wood branches. A byproduct of charcoal conversion is bio-oil, which can also be used as an energy source. In this study, three types of mangroves, namely black mangrove (Rhizophora mucronata), tancang (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza), and mata buaya (Bruguiera sexangula), were pyrolyzed to produce charcoal and bio oil. The bio-oil was characterized to evaluate its contents and subsequently recommend potential uses. Characterization results included yield, viscosity, pH, and chemical properties using GC-MS analysis. The results showed that R. mucronata had the highest viscosity of 1.9 and contained the most variations of compounds, with 12 chemical components. B. gymnorrhiza had the highest pH of 3.94 and contained 8 chemical components. B. sexangula had a viscosity of 1.9 but only contained 2 compound components.     Analysis of Freshwater Biota Growth in an Aquaponic Ecosystem

    This study examines the impact of ammonia levels on the development of freshwater biota, with a special focus on snakehead fish (Channa striata) and spinach (Amaranthus sp.) in an aquaponic ecosystem. The experiment was conducted using a closed circulation aquarium, where several environmental parameters, namely pH, water temperature, air temperature, air humidity, dissolved oxygen (DO), electrical conductivity (EC), and total dissolved solids (TDS) were monitored using a sensor fusion system. The values of these parameters were then correlated with the concentration of ammonia in the aquarium. Ammonia in the aquarium comes mainly from fish metabolic waste, such as feces and urine, as well as rotting food waste and other organic materials. Ammonia is useful as a nutrient for plants in the form of nitrate (NO₃⁻), but interferes with development and is harmful to fish in the form of nitrite (NO2⁻). Fish were fed twice a day, in the form of pellets in the morning and maggots in the afternoon. Growth responses were measured based on the length and weight of the fish, as well as the height and number of leaves of the plants. Using Pearson Correlation Coefficient, the correlation values between ammonia concentration and pH, DO, EC, TDS, air humidity, air temperature, and water temperature were sequentially 0.50, 0.09, 0.14, -0.07, -0.01, -0.20, and -0.22. Meanwhile, the K-means algorithm was used to detect data anomalies. The results showed that snakehead fish (Channa striata) and spinach (Amaranthus sp.) can thrive in an environment with an ammonia concentration of 1 mg/L or below.83 PagesTesis Magiste

    Association Between Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Acute Kidney Injury at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan

    Background: Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is a notable postoperative complication in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). The Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) is an inflammatory marker that may be associated with postoperative AKI. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between NLR and AKI in CABG patients at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 60 patients who underwent on-pump or off-pump CABG. Preoperative NLR and postoperative AKI were obtained from medical records, and AKI was assessed using AKIN criteria. Statistical analysis was performed to evaluate the association between NLR and AKI, with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: Most patients had normal NLR values (83.3%), and AKI occurred in 15% of cases. The mean NLR was 2.36 in the on-pump group and 2.47 in the off-pump group. There was no significant association between NLR and AKI (p=0.417). There was also no significant association between surgical technique and AKI (p=0.723). Conclusion: There was no significant relationship between NLR and AKI in CABG patients, and the type of surgical technique did not influence AKI incidence.64 PagesTesis Magiste
