Gastroprotective Effects of Ethanolic Extract of Andaliman Fruit (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium) on Gastric Histopathology in an Acute Gastritis Rat Model
Introduction. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-induced gastritis,
particularly due to aspirin, remains a global health concern and underscores the
need for therapeutic alternatives with minimal adverse effects. Objective. To
evaluate the gastroprotective effect of ethanolic extract of andaliman fruit
(Zanthoxylum acanthopodium) on the gastric histopathology of rats in an acute
gastritis model. Method. This study employed a true experimental design with a
post-test only control group, involving 36 male Wistar rats. Samples were allocated
into six groups: normal control (K0); negative control (KN) (aspirin 150 mg/kg
BW); positive control (KP) (aspirin and omeprazole 20 mg/kg BW); and three
treatment groups receiving aspirin and andaliman extract at doses of 100 (P1), 200
(P2), and 400 (P3) mg/kg BW. Macroscopic lesion counts and mucosal integrity
scores (Barthel Manja) were analyzed using the Kruskal–Wallis test followed by
the Mann–Whitney test. Results and Discussion. The 100 mg/kg BW (P1) treatment
group demonstrated a significant difference compared with the negative control
(KN) in lesion scores (p=0,045). At 200 mg/kg BW (P2), significant differences
were observed in both lesion scores (p=0,040) and mucosal integrity scores
(p=0,012). Conversely, the 400 mg/kg BW (P3) dose did not yield a meaningful
protective effect. Ulcer index values in the positive control (KP) group were
comparable to those in the 100 mg/kg BW (P1) and 200 mg/kg BW (P2) treatment
groups. Phytochemical screening identified the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids,
glycosides, saponins, tannins, and steroids in the andaliman extract. Flavonoids
and tannins are presumed to contribute antioxidant activity that supports mucosal
protection. Conclusion. The ethanolic extract of andaliman fruit exhibits
gastroprotective potential against aspirin-induced gastric mucosal injury, with the
optimal effect observed at a dose of 200 mg/kg BW (P2).98 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The Relationship of Family Knowledge and Attitudes about TB MDR with Compliance in Taking Medication for TB MDR Sufferers at Dr Pirngadi General Hospital Medan City
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) is the bacterium that directly causes
the infectious disease tuberculosis (TB). According to the World Health
Organization (WHO), approximately 10.6 million people worldwide were infected
with tuberculosis bacteria in 2021. Between 2016 and 2020, Indonesia was one of
the three countries with the highest rates of tuberculosis, MDR-TB, and TB/HIV.
Patient adherence to medication is crucial to the success of TB treatment. Patients
who do not consistently take their medication are at risk of dropping out and
increasing drug resistance (MDR). This study was conducted to determine the
relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of families about MDR-TB and
the medication adherence of MDR-TB patients at Pirngadi General Hospital in
Medan. The study used a quantitative research design. The data source was
obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents. The study population
consisted of 281 family members of MDR-TB patients, with a sample size of 74
calculated using the Slovin formula. The analysis technique used in this study was
the Chi-Square test. Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, a p-value of <0.05
was obtained, indicating a significant relationship between family knowledge,
attitudes, and support toward the medication adherence of MDR-TB patients at
Pirngadi General Hospital in Medan. It is recommended that Pirngadi Medan
Hospital expand the volunteer program for former MDR TB sufferers or hold
meetings with former MDR TB sufferers and increase education and training for
patient families to support treatment compliance and create an environment that
supports patient recovery.144 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

Evaluation Customer Satisfaction In Using The KAI Access Application Using End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) And Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) Approaches
Digital technology encourages the use of digital applications, one of the companies that continues to develop its technology is PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). The application developed by PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is Access by KAI which can make it easier for people to book train tickets boldly. This application provides various features such as ticket booking, schedule information, payment methods, user transaction history, and other services that can be accessed via mobile devices. However, based on various user reviews and input, complaints are still found regarding the performance and comfort of using several application features. This study aims to increase the level of user satisfaction with the Access by KAI application by using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach analyzed through the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The five EUCS dimensions used are: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and punctuality. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 239 respondents who use the application, and is supplemented with qualitative data through semi-structured interviews with 15 respondents who can be contacted again and analysis of user reviews on the Google Play Store. The results of the study indicate that there are seven application features in Quadrant I IPA, namely features that are considered very important by users but their performance is still relatively low. These features include: user purchase data (X2.3), train schedules (X2.4), fonts/writing (X3.4), bank payments (X4.2), rescheduling process (X4.7), ordering process (X5.2), and payment via digital wallet or e-wallet (X5.4). Findings from interviews and user reviews also strengthen the results of the analysis. This study recommends that PT KAI prioritize improvements to these features to improve service quality and overall user satisfaction.170 PagesTesis Magiste
Implementation of Medan Berkah Health Insurance Program (JKMB) on Beggars in Medan City
Equal access to health services is a fundamental right of citizens. However,
vulnerable groups such as beggars are often neglected because they do not have
valid residence documents. The Medan City Government launched the Medan
Berkah Health Insurance Program (JKMB) to support universal Health Coverage,
allowing free health services only with a Medan ID card. This study aims to assess
the implementation of JKMB on beggars in Medan City by using the implementation
suitability model from David C. Korten, which emphasizes the relationship between
programs, organizations, and beneficiaries. The method used is a descriptive
qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews,
observations, and documentation studies. Informants consisted of beggars without
identity who had been disciplined by Social Services, program Implementation
officers, and academics in the field of social welfare. The results showed that JKMB
can only be accessed by beggars while under the supervision of Social Services,
through temporary identities such as "Mr. X". After being repatriated
(reunification), access to health services cannot be continued due to the absence of
An ID. The Program has not been able to reach marginalized groups on an ongoing
basis, and there has been no integration of cross-sector data systems. The findings
expose the discrepancy between program design and Target conditions,
highlighting the importance of more inclusive policy reformulation, facilitation of
identity ownership, and inter-agency coordination to create equitable and
sustainable health access for all citizens.123 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
