Measurement of Zz Production Cross-Sections in the Four-Lepton Final State in Pp Collisions at S=13.6tev With the Atlas Experiment
This paper reports cross-section measurements of ZZ production in pp collisions at s=13.6TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. The data were collected by the ATLAS detector in 2022, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 29 fb−1. Events in the ZZ→4ℓ (ℓ=e, μ) final states are selected and used to measure the inclusive and differential cross-sections in a fiducial region defined close to the analysis selections. The inclusive cross-section is further extrapolated to the total phase space with a requirement of 66 ;lt;mZ;lt; 116 GeV for both Z bosons, yielding 16.8±1.1 pb. The results are well described by the Standard Model predictions. © 2024 The Author(s)Australian Research Council, ARC; Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique et Technique, CNRST; Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, FCT; Cooperative Research Centres, Australian Government Department of Industry, CRCs; National Science Foundation, NSF; Science and Technology Facilities Council, STFC; H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, MSCA; HORIZON EUROPE Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, MSCA; Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek, NWO; Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan, MOST; Israel Science Foundation, ISF; Leverhulme Trust; Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, BWS; Neubauer Family Foundation, NFF; Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation, SBFI; Javna Agencija za Raziskovalno Dejavnost RS, ARRS; Generalitat de Catalunya; Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft, BMWFW; Austrian Science Fund, FWF; Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo, ANID; Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF; Canada Foundation for Innovation, CFI; Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft, HGF; Danmarks Grundforskningsfond, DNRF; Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, CNPq; Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT; Canarie; Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, H2020; Göran Gustafssons Stiftelser; European Commission, EC; Ministarstvo Prosvete, Nauke i Tehnološkog Razvoja, MPNTR; U.S. Department of Energy, USDOE; European Cooperation in Science and Technology, COST; International Council of Shopping Centers, ICSC; Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo, FAPESP; Institutul de Fizică Atomică, IFA; Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, NSERC; Nella and Leon Benoziyo Center for Neurological Diseases, Weizmann Institute of Science; Irish Rugby Football Union, IRFU; Chinese Academy of Sciences, CAS; Defence Science Institute, DSI; Agencia Nacional de Promoción Científica y Tecnológica, ANPCyT; Royal Society; Minerva Foundation; National Research Foundation, NRF; Royal Society of South Australia, RSSA; Generalitat Valenciana, GVA; CERN; Ministerstvo Školství, Mládeže a Tělovýchovy, MŠMT; National Research Council Canada, NRC; Brookhaven National Laboratory, BNL; Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung, AvH; Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation, MSSRF; Caring Futures Institute, Flinders University, CFI; British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund, BCKDF; Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, MEXT; Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, INFN: 754496; Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, INFN; CHIST-ERA-19-XAI-00; Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR: ANR-20-CE31-0013, ANR-21-CE31-0013, ANR-11-LABX-0012, ANR-21-CE31-0022; Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR; Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society, ARIS: J1-3010; Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society, ARIS; European Research Council, ERC: 948254; European Research Council, ERC; Schweizerischer Nationalfonds zur Förderung der Wissenschaftlichen Forschung, SNF: PCEFP2_194658, RPG-2020-004; Schweizerischer Nationalfonds zur Förderung der Wissenschaftlichen Forschung, SNF; Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Stiftelse: KAW 2017.0100, KAW 2018.0157, KAW 2018.0458, KAW 2019.0447; Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Stiftelse; National Natural Science Foundation of China, NSFC: 12275265, 12175119, PRIMUS/21/SCI/017, NSFC-12075060; National Natural Science Foundation of China, NSFC; CC-IN2P3; Norges Forskningsråd: RCN-314472; Norges Forskningsråd; European Regional Development Fund, ERDF: IDIFEDER/2018/048, LCF/BQ/PI20/ 11760025; European Regional Development Fund, ERDF; Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG: DFG - 469666862, DFG - CR 312/5-1; Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG; Narodowe Centrum Nauki, NCN: UMO-2021/40/C/ST2/00187, 2021/42/E/ST2/00350, UMO-2019/34/E/ST2/00393, UMO-2020/37/B/ST2/01043, 2022/47/B/ST2/03059; Narodowe Centrum Nauki, NCN; 2014-2021; PE00000013; Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, FONDECYT: 1230987, 1210400, 1190886, 1230812; Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, FONDECYT; Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej, NAWA: PPN/PPO/2020/1/00002/U/00001; Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej, NAWA; 101033496; Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, MCIN: RYC2019-028510-I, RYC2022-038164-I, RYC2020-030254-I, PID2021-125273NB, RYC2021-031273-I, PCI2022-135018-2; Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, MCIN; 21/SCI/017; CIDEGENT/2019/027, CIDEGENT/2019/023; SCI/013; Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, JSPS: JP21H05085, JP22KK0227, JP22H04944, JP22H01227; Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, JSPS; Vetenskapsrådet, VR: VR 2022-03845, VR 2022-04683, VR 2018-00482, 2021-03651; Vetenskapsrådet, VR; LCF/BQ/PI20/11760025; IN2P3-CNRS; Fundación BBVA, FBBVA: LEO22-1-603; Fundación BBVA, FBBV
Effect of Chia Oil Addition To Quail (coturnix Coturnix Japonica) Diets on Growth Performance, Blood Antioxidant Status, Caecal Concentrations of Short-Chain Fatty Acids, and Biomechanical Properties of Bones
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of chia oil supplementation in quail diets on growth performance, blood antioxidant status, caecal short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) concentration, and tibia–femur biomechanical properties. A total of 180, one-day-old quail chicks were randomly divided into three groups of 60 chicks each. Each group was randomly divided into six subgroups, each containing 10 chicks. All chicks were fed a diet based on corn and soybean meal. While the control group was fed with the basal ration, the experimental groups were fed with the basal ration and were given 0.2 g/kg and 0.4 g/kg chia oil in addition to the basal ration. The use of chia oil in quails did not affect growth performance parameters. Malondialdehyde and glutathione exhibited a linear response to the increase in dietary chia oil. The superoxide dismutase value exhibited a quadratic response to chia oil use; the glutathione peroxidase value showed a linear and quadratic response to the use of chia oil. Catalase, ceruloplasmin, albumin, total protein, and globulin were not affected by the addition of chia oil. Acetic acid, propionic acid, and total SCFA were linearly affected by the graded level of chia oil. No statistical difference was found in the concentrations of butyric, isobutyric, valeric, isovaleric, isocaproic, and caproic acids and BCFA in quails fed with different levels of chia oil. Feeding a diet containing chia oil did not affect the biomechanical properties of the tibia and femur in quail. It was therefore concluded that diets containing chia oil could be used to improve antioxidant status and caecal short-chain fatty acid values in quails. © 2024, South African Journal for Animal Sciences. Electronic Performance and Schottky Contact of 2d Geh/Inse and Geh/Insub>2 Heterostructures: Strain Engineering and Electric Field Tunability
Rahman, Hamad/0000-0002-8885-3985Recent exciting developments in synthesis and properties study of the germanane (GeH) mono-layer have inspired us to investigate the structural and electronic properties of the van der Waals heterostructures (HTS) of GeH/InSe and GeH/In2Se3 through a first-principles methodology. In this study, structural and electronic properties of the HTS are examined thoroughly. GeH/InSe and GeH/In2Se3 are determined as n-type Schottky with a Schottky barrier height (SBH) of 0.40 eV and n-type ohmic, respectively. GeH/InSe turns out as a semiconductor with a direct bandgap of 0.62 eV, while GeH/In2Se3 is seen to be a metal. The results show that changing of the bandgap and SBH in very small values. For GeH/In2Se3 the effects are even less substantial, as the metallic or n-type nature of the material does not change. The biaxial strain and electric field have more tangible effects on the characteristics of the HTS. A mixture of compressive and tensile strain is seen to have the capability of changing GeH/InSe into a metal and at the same time transform it to an n-type/p-type ohmic or p-type Schottky contact. The results given here can guide future research in the field of HTS and especially GeH-based devices. The numerical calculations reported in this paper were partially performed at TUBITAK ULAKBIM, High Performance and Grid Computing Center (TRUBA resources)

The purpose of this thesis, detailed information on generations, characteristics of Generation Z, consumption types and consumption habits has been given and inferences have been tried to be made about the impact of changing consumption habits on Generation Z. 12 one-on-one interviews were conducted with the participants and information was obtained from Generation Z itself about their utilitarian and hedonistic consumption approaches. It is aimed to make inferences about which utilitarian products Generation Z sees as a pleasure product or which pleasure products they now see as utilitarian. In this way, it is aimed both to understand the consumption behaviors of Generation Z, which has become the biggest economic power, and to provide clues to companies in this direction
Combination of Searches for Resonant Higgs Boson Pair Production Using Pp Collisions at Sqrt[s]=13 Tev With the Atlas Detector
A combination of searches for a new resonance decaying into a Higgs boson pair is presented, using up to 139 fb^{-1} of pp collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The combination includes searches performed in three decay channels: bb[over ¯]bb[over ¯], bb[over ¯]τ^{+}τ^{-}, and bb[over ¯]γγ. No excess above the expected Standard Model background is observed and upper limits are set at the 95% confidence level on the production cross section of Higgs boson pairs originating from the decay of a narrow scalar resonance with mass in the range 251 GeV-5 TeV. The observed (expected) limits are in the range 0.96-600 fb (1.2-390 fb). The limits are interpreted in the type-I two-Higgs-doublet model and the minimal supersymmetric standard model, and constrain parameter space not previously excluded by other searches
Recent Advances in Mechanical Properties of Mg Matrix Composites: a Review
Magnesium (Mg), with a density of two-thirds of aluminium (Al) and one-fourth of steel, has become one of the most attractive materials for automotive and aerospace industries owing to the obligation to reduce fuel consumption and gas emissions. However, the poor mechanical property of Mg is one of the most significant barriers to its widespread use. The most widely used method to increase the use potential of Mg is the development of Mg matrix composites. This review focuses on the mechanical properties of recent Mg matrix composites. The effect of different reinforcement materials on the mechanical behaviour and failure mechanisms of Mg matrix composites was evaluated in detail. © The Author(s) 2024
A 4-Ghz Actively Driven Ultra-Low Phase Noise Mode-Locked Fibre Laser
This work demonstrates an actively driven ultra-low phase noise mode-locked laser built with all polarization-maintaining components. The output of the laser is an optical pulse train at 4-GHz repetition rate and 1.63-ps pulse width. The absolute phase noise and timing jitter of the photo detected signal is measured and found to be -140 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset frequency and 10.21 fs (integrated from 100 Hz to 10 MHz). Ultra-Miniaturized Crossings Based on Digitized Metamaterials for One-Dimensional Grating Waveguides
The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE)The challenge of designing crossings in one-dimensional grating waveguides (1DGWs) arises from the noticeable asymmetry in Bloch mode profiles, which causes the guided modes to be compressed toward the outer sidewall. The proposed solution involves using digitized metamaterials in an extensively corrugated 1DGW on a silicon-on-insulator platform. The resulting crossing structure has an ultra-miniaturized and ultra-low loss design, with a broad bandwidth spanning from 1500 to 1580 nm, while maintaining a minimal footprint of merely 2.1×2.1 µm2. The fabricated device is found to have an insertion loss of -2.52 dB within the wavelength range of 1500 to 1580 nm. This design represents a significant advancement in the pursuit of compact and low-energy silicon photonic waveguide crossings. © 2024 SPIE.Scientific and Technical Research Council; TUBITAK, (2210A, 122E566
Self-Powered Photoelectrochemical Photodetectors Based on a Cspbbr3/S-g-c3n4 Heterojunction-Sensitized 3d Zno Nanostructured Thin Film
The production of photodetectors that can provide their own power needs and can be adapted to different application conditions is very important for next-generation optoelectronic devices. Three-dimensional (3D) ZnO in nanoflower (NF) morphology was synthesized to be sensitized with all-inorganic perovskite for the application of self-powered photodetector (PD) devices. Consequently, we report high-performance and air-/solvent-stable ZnO/CsPbBr3/S-g-C3N4-based PD devices in three different forms: as a solid-state form and photoelectrochemical (PEC)-type PDs in both liquid electrolyte systems and a quasi-solid-state (QSS) form. The solid-state configuration of the PD device generated a photocurrent density of 150 mu A at 367 nm, while the detectivity and responsivity values were calculated as 3.4 x 10(15) Jones and 0.25 AW(-1), respectively. The device was confirmed to be air-stable upon stability tests for 90 days, retaining more than 65% of its initial current density. The self-power ability of ZnO/CsPbBr3/S-g-C3N4 PEC-type PDs was proven for both liquid electrolyte systems and QSS forms. Open cell voltage and sensitivity as high as 250 mV and 3.96 x 10(7)%, respectively, were obtained for QSS ZnO/CsPbBr3/S-g-C3N4 PEC-type PDs. This study proved that the ZnO/CsPbBr3/S-g-C3N4-based PEC PD devices with high performance in the range of 367 to 460 nm can be adapted to meet different application requirements in a wide range from liquid electrolyte systems to solid- and QSS-type electrolyte systems.T?rkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu [118C551]; TUBITAKC.T.A., N.D.S., and M.S. would like to acknowledge the partial financial support from TUBITAK under research contract number 118C551
Finansal Bilgi Manipülasyonu Tahmini: İstatistiksel Yöntemler ile Makine Öğrenmesi Algoritmalarının Karşılaştırılması
In this study, performances of probit and logit analyses, which are traditional statistical methods, and support vector machine, decision tree, random forest, k-nearest neighbor and artificial neural network methods, which are machine learning algorithms, are compared in predicting financial information manipulation. The classification accuracies of all methods are above %60, and the method with the highest classification accuracy is random forest and the lowest is support vector machine. Machine learning algorithms have been found to be more successful than traditional methods. The biggest disadvantage of these algorithms is that probability values cannot be obtained. Probit and logit analyses are needed to obtain probability values. In the analyses, in addition to the Beneish model which is frequently used in the literature to predict financial information manipulation, revaluation, operating expenses, other income and expenses from main activities indices, which are thought to be effective in predicting financial information manipulation in Turkey, have been used. The indices that are effective in predicting financial information manipulation have been determined. Gross profit, sales growth, leverage, marketing, selling, distribution and general administrative expenses, operating expenses, other income from main activities indices and the ratio of accruals to assets have been found to be statistically significant in predicting financial information manipulation.
