Vision about Inclusive Design in Spain
In a global world, where cultures intertwine and where many countries see their population aging, many people is excluded by traditional products and services. Spain is not an exception and there are groups of people that cannot participate in society normally. Inclusive Design is a discipline that seeks to include diverse segments in the design processes of new products and services. Therefore, the objective of this communication is to make a review of the state of the art in Inclusive Design in Spain and identify opportunities for the incorporation of these aspects in society in general and in the industry in particular. This will identify the key actors in the development of Inclusive Design projects and their experiences in recent years
Short Messages Spam Filtering Combining Personality Recognition and Sentiment Analysis
Currently, short communication channels are growing up due to the huge increase in the number of smartphones and online social networks users. This growth attracts malicious campaigns, such as spam campaigns, that are a direct threat to the security and privacy of the users. While most researches are focused on automatic text classification, in this work we demonstrate the possibility of improving current short messages spam detection systems using a novel method. We combine personality recognition and sentiment analysis techniques to analyze Short Message Services (SMS) texts. We enrich a publicly available dataset adding these features, first separately and after in combination, of each message to the dataset, creating new datasets. We apply several combinations of the best SMS spam classifiers and filters to each dataset in order to compare the results of each one. Taking into account the experimental results we analyze the real inuence of each feature and the combination of both. At the end, the best results are improved in terms of accuracy, reaching to a 99.01% and the number of false positive is reduced
Software Defined Networking Opportunities for Intelligent Security Enhancement of Industrial Control Systems
In the last years, cyber security of Industrial Control Systems (ICSs) has become an important issue due to the discovery of sophisticated malware that by attacking Critical Infrastructures, could cause catastrophic safety results. Researches have been developing countermeasures to enhance cyber security for pre-Internet era systems, which are extremely vulnerable to threats. This paper presents the potential opportunities that Software Defined Networking (SDN) provides for the security enhancement of Industrial Control Networks. SDN permits a high level of configuration of a network by the separation of control and data planes. A Big Data Analytical Architecture for the Asset Management
The paper highlights the characteristics of data and big data analytics in manufacturing, more specifically for the industrial asset management. The authors highlight important aspects of the analytical system architecture for purposes of asset management. The authors cover the data and big data technology aspects of the domain of interest. This is followed by application of the big data analytics and technologies, such as machine learning and data mining for asset management. The paper also presents the aspects of visualisation of the results of data analytics. In conclusion, the architecture provides a holistic view of the aspects and requirements of a big data technology application system for purposes of asset management. The issues addressed in the paper, namely equipment health, reliability, effects of unplanned breakdown, etc., are extremely important for today's manufacturing companies. Moreover, the customer's opinion and preferences of the product/services are crucial as it gives an insight into the ways to improve in order to stay competitive in the market. Finally, a successful asset management function plays an important role in the manufacturing industry, which is dependent on the support of proper ICTs for its further success

Removing piston-driven mechanical chest compression artefacts from the ECG
Piston-driven mechanical chest compression (CC) devices induce a quasi-periodic artefact in the ECG, making rhythm diagnosis unreliable. Data from 230 out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) patients were collected in which CCs were delivered using the piston driven LUCAS-2 device. Underlying rhythms were annotated by expert reviewers in artefact-free intervals. Two artefact removal methods (filters) were introduced: a static solution based on Goertzel’s algorithm, and an adaptive solution based on a Recursive Least Squares (RLS) filter. The filtered ECG was diagnosed by a shock/no-shock decision algorithm used in a commercial defibrillator and compared with the rhythm annotations. Filter performance was evaluated in terms of balanced accuracy (BAC), the mean of sensitivity (shockable) and specificity (nonshockable). Compared to the unfiltered signal, the static filter increased BAC by 20 points, and the RLS filter by 25 points. Adaptive filtering results in 99.0% sensitivity and 87.3% specificity

aktiboekin ere.This article examines the different forms of consumption and interaction that young people employ
with television and online video content. The aim of this study is to know whether audience behaviour
changes depending on the type of medium. The study presents the most significant statistical results of
a survey of 475 young students conducted at Mondragon University. After carrying out a factorial
analysis and two multiple generalized linear regressions, our results show that it is statistically
impossible to describe audience attitude as a dichotomy between passive television viewers and active
internet users
Increasing dependability in Safety Critical CPSs using Reflective Statecharts
Dependability is crucial in Safety Critical Cyber Physical Systems (CPS). In spite of the research carried out in recent years, implementation and certification of such systems remain costly and time consuming. In this paper, a framework for Statecharts based SW component development is presented. This framework called CRESC (C++ REflective StateCharts), in addition to assisting in transforming a Statechart model to code, uses reflection to make the model available at Run Time. Thus, the SW components can be monitored at Run Time in terms of model elements. Our framework helps the developer separate monitoring from functionality. Any monitoring strategy needed to increase dependability can be added independently from the functional part. The framework was implemented in C++ because this programming language, together with the Statechart formalism constitute widely used choices for the Safety Critical CPS domain
El reto de la tercera misión. Una visión desde Mondragon Unibertsitatea
Este artículo se centra en la Tercera Misión de las universidades y aclara su sentido y significado en
Mondragon Unibertsitatea. En la primera parte, se realiza una aproximación conceptual a la Tercera
Misión y se identifican perspectivas que tienen enfoques y finalidades bien distintas. Desde la perspectiva
de los autores, la misma debe contemplar tanto los ámbitos de carácter económico (i.e. transferencia
tecnológica, impulso a la creación de empresas, investigación colaborativa) como los de carácter social
(i.e. mejora de la calidad de vida de las personas, implicación en las problemáticas sociales). En la
segunda parte, el artículo se interesa por un aspecto básico de la Tercera Misión, si bien tradicionalmente
omitido, que es el cómo las universidades conectan con las demandas y expectativas socio-económicas.
Para ello, se realiza una revisión de cómo y en qué aspectos Mondragon Unibertsitatea, como referente
de universidad conectada con el resto de la sociedad, ha estado implicada en el desarrollo de la Tercera
Misión desde esa mirada amplia que anteriormente se ha mencionado. Este artículo sugiere que, si bien
hay un interés creciente por la interacción de la universidad con una variedad de actores, consideraciones,
demandas, expectativas y valores que constituyen la sociedad, esa interacción y la calidad de la
conectividad en parte son dependientes de la estructura, organización y finalidad de la institución
universitaria.This article focuses on the Third Mission of universities, clarifying its meaning and purpose with respect
to Mondragon University. Firstly, a conceptual approach to the Third Mission is made, and different
perspectives, with very diverse approaches and aims, are identified. From the authors’ perspective, this
mission must consider both economic (i.e. technological transfer, promotion of entrepreneurship,
collaborative research) and social aspects (i.e. improving people’s life's quality, involvement in social
issues). Secondly, the article emphasises a basic aspect related to the Third Mission, though traditionally
omitted, such as the way in which the university connects with the socio-economical demands and
expectations. To that end, a revision is carried out to consider what aspects and how Mondragon
University, as a reference university connected to society, has been involved in the development of the
Third Mission, understood in the previously mentioned broad sense. This article suggests that, even
though there is a growing interest in the university’s interaction with a variety of actors, considerations,
demands, expectations and values that make up society, that interaction and the quality of that
connectivity are partly dependent on the structure, organisation and purpose of the university as an
institution
Innovación y cambio en la Formación Profesional del País Vasco. El modelo ETHAZI
Los cambios económicos, productivos y tecnológicos que se están produciendo de forma acelerada desde comienzos del siglo XXI, obligan a repensar las finalidades y las formas de enseñanza-aprendizaje en todos los ámbitos educativos, pero particularmente en el de la Formación Profesional. En la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco, desde Tknika -Centro para la Investigación y la Innovación de la Formación Profesional- se ha ido gestando, de forma progresiva, un modelo formativo (Ciclos de Alto Rendimiento - ETHAZI), que tiene como eje central el Desarrollo de Competencias -Técnicas y Transversales- mediante el Aprendizaje Colabo-rativo Basado en Retos. Este modelo, se soporta principalmente en cuatro ejes: a) Equipos Docentes de Ciclo autogestionados; b) Programación con base en retos (intermodulares); c) Flexibilidad organizacional; d) Evalua-ción por Competencias orientada hacia la evolución de las personas y sus aprendizajes. El trabajo de repensar y rehacer los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje-evaluación conlleva la implicación activa del profesorado y de los equipos directivos -debidamente apoyados desde Tknika y con la colaboración del cuerpo de inspectores-, así como la revisión y adaptación de los espacios y los horarios. Se trata con todo ello de avanzar de Ciclos de Alto Rendimiento a Centros de Alto Rendimiento. En este artículo se expone de forma sucinta el proceso seguido, así como una aproximación a la situación actual de impacto en los Centros del modelo ETHAZIAs mudanças econômicas, produtivas e tecnológicas que estão ocorrendo em um ritmo acelerado desde o início do século XXI nos obrigam a repensar os objetivos e formas de ensino e aprendizagem em todas as áreas da educação, mas particularmente na área de Formação Profissional. Na Comunidade Autônoma do País Basco, no Centro Tknika para a Pesquisa e Inovação da Formação Profissional, desenvolveu-se, progressivamente, um modelo de formação (Ciclos de Alto Desempenho - ETHAZI), que tem como eixo central o Desenvolvimento de Competências -Técnicas e Transversais- por meio da Aprendizagem Colaborativa Baseada em Metas. Este modelo se baseia principalmente em quatro categorias: a) Equipes de Docentes de Ciclo auto-administrados; b) Programação baseada em metas (inter-modulares); c) Flexibilidade organizacional; d) Avaliação por Com-petências de acordo com a evolução das pessoas e de seus aprendizados.Trabalhar para repensar e refazer os processos de ensino-aprendizagem-avaliação envolve a participação ativa de professores e equipes de gestão (com o apoio adequado da Tknika e com a colaboração do corpo de inspe-tores), bem como a revisão e adaptação dos espaços e dos horários. Com tudo isso, trata-se de avançar de Ciclos de Alto Desempenho a Centros de Alto Desempenho. Este artigo apresenta sucintamente o processo segui-do, assim como uma aproximação à situação atual do impacto do modelo ETHAZI sobre os Centros.The economic, productive and technological changes that have been taking place in an accelerated way since the beginning of the 21st century require rethinking the aims and forms of teaching and learning in all educational fields. This is particularly needed in the case of Vocational Training. In the Basque Autonomous Community, from Tknika -Centre for research and innovation in Vocational Training- a training model has been gradually developed (High performance cycles- ETHAZI), which has as its central axis the development of competencies - technical and soft - through challenge-based collaborative learning. This model is grounded mainly on four axes: a) Self-managed cycle teaching staff; b) planning based on challenges (inter-modules); c) organizational flexibility; d) competency-evaluation oriented to the development of people and their learning.The work of rethinking and redoing the teaching-learning-evaluation proces-ses implies active involvement on the part of the teaching and management teams - duly supported, in this case, by Tknika and the education inspection body. It also implies revision and adaptation of spaces and schedules, making a move from high performance cycles to high performance centres. In this article, the process followed, as well as an approximation to the current impact of the ETHAZI model centres, is briefly described
