Il corpo spezzato. Costruire e decostruire la figura umana nella tradizione funeraria egiziana
No full textThis book is focused on the anthropologically and historically complex subject of the body in ancient Egypt, with particular emphasis on the so-called ‘funerary literature’ and, more specifically, on the corpus of the Pyramid Texts and its ‘mutilated’ anthropomorphic determinatives. In this perspective, it was necessary to establish a framework for the perception and formal elaboration of the social, political, living, and dead body in iconographic and textual sources, in order to provide an emic basis to start from.
Particular attention was paid to the ‘broken body’, understood not only as the physical body but also as its iconographical or material representation, sometimes mutilated, decapitated, treated and manipulated in different ways and contexts. Thus, a deductive process has been carried out, starting from the general and arriving at the particular, to propose some suggestions for a long-debated but still unsolved phenomenon.
We thus arrive at the practice of mutilation, or partialisation of the body, which is still scarce in archaeological contexts, but more abundant in iconography and hieroglyphics, as a deliberate, reasoned and motivated work of construction and deconstruction of the human body and its representation.
The work will have served its purpose if it succeeds in stimulating new reflections and more in-depth studies of the subject, or at least in throwing a glimmer of light on the shadows that Egyptian thought still ‘casts on the walls of the cave’.

Proprio la sua indeterminatezza ha indotto e induce le società a modellare, ‘fabbricare’ l’individuo, spesso in maniera consapevole e culturalmente connotata. In antico Egitto, il corpo e la sua rappresentazione veicolano valori ben costruiti e tracciati per ogni specifico contesto di destinazione, in modo particolare quello funerario.
Questo studio propone una riflessione sulla tematica del corpo in antico Egitto, con particolare riferimento alla tradizione funeraria e, più specificatamente, al corpus dei Testi delle Piramidi e alle sue grafie antropomorfe ‘mutilate’.

Constelaciones familiares en la narrativa iberoamericana moderna
No full textThe present volume collects essays on the subject of ‘family constellations’ in modern and contemporary Iberoamerican fiction, including case studies from Spain, Portugal, Hispanophone Latin America, and Brazil, with analyses of novels ranging from 1973 (Concha Alós, La madama) to 2020 (Juan Gabriel Vásquez, Volver la vista atrás).
The volume proposes the idea of ‘family constellations’ as a critical concept to capture the different ways in which these literary works transcend or escape the customary generic rubric of the family novel/saga. In contrast to more organic notions of family or the conventional scheme of genealogical sequence (and decadence), the novelistic works studied here are distinguished by the partial and subjective way in which they imagine affective bonds across or within a generation. Moreover, in contrast to the time-honored allegorical equation of family (history) and nation, the novels of the past decades and of most recent publication tend to foreground transnational and multi-relational or multilateral connections, bonds, and memories, and they frequently also appeal to an international readership.
Historical legacies continue to play an important role, but frequently what is focused upon is not the direct experience of ‘historical’ events, but rather the transgenerational and traumatic transmission of historical memories over time and across generations. Finally, many of the novels discussed tend to connect the representation of family relations to meta-fictional and meta-historical devices.
Through the eight individual studies presented here, the volume wants to make a case for the continued importance of ‘family’ in contemporary Iberoamerican literature, and to suggest concepts and approaches for further study, that highlight the more flexible and fragmentary modes in which familial relations undergird the content and form of recent fiction.El presente volumen somete el esquema convencional del género de la novela/saga familiar a una reevaluación. Las novelas aquí analizadas, frecuentemente metaficcionales, tienden a poner en primer plano vínculos y recuerdos transnacionales o multirrelacionales y trabajan con conceptos de lo meta-histórico, matizando así el marco literario de referencia.
Son procedentes de la narrativa iberoamericana moderna y contemporánea y van desde 1973 (Concha Alós, La madama) hasta 2020 (Juan Gabriel Vásquez, Volver la vista atrás). Las contribuciones abarcan novelas de España y Portugal, así como de América Latina hispanohablante y Brasil

Poster: Franco Basaglia - a bibliographical exhibition
No full textOne hundred years after the birth of Franco Basaglia (March 11, 1924), the Vincenzo Pinali Central Medical Library organized a bibliographic exhibition on the psychiatrist.
The exhibition was held on the ground floor of the Pinali Library during the month of April 2024.
The event was created in collaboration with other libraries of the University Library System of Padua, which also set up bibliographic exhibitions on Franco Basaglia.
The libraries involved were: the Fabio Metelli Central Library of Psychology, the Philosophy Library, and the Ettore Anchieri Library of Political Science.A cento anni dalla nascita di Franco Basaglia (11 marzo 1924), la biblioteca medica centrale Vincenzo Pinali ha organizzato una mostra bibliografica sul medico psichiatra.
La mostra si è svolta al piano terra della Biblioteca Pinali durante il mese di aprile 2024.
L\u27evento è nato in collaborazione con altre biblioteche del Sistema Bibliotecario di Ateneo di Padova, che hanno allestito a loro volta mostre bibliografiche su Franco Basaglia. Le biblioteche coinvolte sono state: Biblioteca Centrale di Psicologia Fabio Metelli, la Biblioteca di Filosofia, la Biblioteca di Scienze Politiche Ettore Anchieri

Il nome e il genere. Il dramma satiresco e il ‘quarto dramma’ nel teatro greco
No full textNell’età ‘d’oro’ del teatro attico, i drammi alle Grandi Dionisie venivano presentati per tetralogie, ciascuna formata, secondo l’opinione consolidata, da tre tragedie ed un dramma satiresco finale.
Il volume si concentra sul dramma di quarta posizione quale entità a sé stante, preliminarmente e indipendentemente dalla sua duplice possibilità di realizzazione: con ma anche senza coro di satiri e Sileno.
Del quarto dramma si studiano le denominazioni assunte – o mancanti – in età antica e bizantina, le funzioni svolte nello spettacolo teatrale, le definizioni di genere e statuto letterario.
Si argomenta che l’Alcesti di Euripide non fu l’unico caso di ‘quarto dramma a-satiresco’: altri esemplari attendono di essere riscoperti, soprattutto nei corpora frammentari di Sofocle ed Euripide.
