No full textDer Prioritätsstreit zwischen Leibniz und Newton um die Entdeckung der Differential- und Integralrechnung gehört zu den heftigsten und weitreichendsten Konflikten der Wissenschaftsgeschichte. Er entwickelte sich langsam und interessanterweise nicht aus einem persönlichen Konflikt der beiden Wissenschaftler, sondern aus einem Konflikt, den die Mitarbeiter dieser Männer heraufbeschworen. Die im vorliegenden Band dokumentierten Vorträge beschäftigen sich mit der Entwicklung des Prioritätsstreits bis hin zu seinen Folgen für die englische Analysis in den Jahrhunderten nach Newton. Der Band folgt dabei der Darstellung von Thomas Sonar: Die Geschichte des Prioritätsstreits zwischen Leibniz und Newton (Springer Spektrum 2016).The conflict of priorities over the discovery of differential and integral calculus between Leibniz and Newton is one of the most violent and far-reaching conflicts in the history of science. It developed slowly - and interestingly- not as a result of a personal conflict between the two scientists, but rather as a result of a conflict that the employees of these men conjured up. The lectures documented in this volume deal with the development of the priority dispute up to its consequences for English analysis in the centuries after Newton. The volume follows the presentation of Thomas Sonar: The history of the priority dispute between Leibniz and Newton (Springer Spektrum 2016)

Get PDFThe origin of this story of origins is the celebration, in June 2011, that took place in Hamburg to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Smith College Junior Year Program at the University of Hamburg. We wanted to replicate in print what we witnessed in person: the voicing of vivid memories that were never identical but invariably familiar; the effortless manner in which people from two institutions and two countries met and mingled; the wisdom and wit with which participants reflected on the profound effect of studying and teaching thousands of miles away from home. We wanted a record of how this remarkable program came into being and of how people over the decades have responded to and remembered what is an exchange in the truest sense. The ease with which we were able to collect some 40 contributions testifies to the strong ties between Smith College and the University of Hamburg – between Northampton and Hamburg. The essays in this volume capture the regular and lively talk between our institutions and cities

Get PDFNon-Profit-Organisationen sind Orte hoher Emotionalität, in denen Vertrauen als Steuerungsmechanismus des organisationalen Miteinanders sowie Solidarität als Handlungsmaxime entscheidende Bedeutungen zukommen. Diese drei interagierenden sozialen Phänomene Emotionalität, Vertrauen und Solidarität wirken kooperationsfördernd und stellen eine wichtige Bedingung für die Funktionsfähigkeit von NPOs dar. Nach einer theoretischen Verortung untersucht die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit im Rahmen einer qualitativen Studie die Entstehungsbedingungen und Funktionen sowie ihre Wechselwirkungen im Organisationsgeschehen in Organisationen des Dritten Sektors in Deutschland.This qualitative study explores the significance and interrelation among trust, solidarity and emotions in third-sector organisations in Germany. Non-profit organisations (NPOs) are identified as highly emotional. Social interactions within these organisations are shaped by the control mechanism of trust and the guiding principle of solidarity. NPOs rely on interaction among the three social phenomena of trust, solidarity and emotions, which are essential for cooperation and therefore for an organisation to function. This research addresses both the theoretical background and everyday practice of trust, solidarity and emotions and shows the conditions under which they grow and function as well as their interdependencies within NPOs

Zum neu gegründeten Landkreis gehörten zunächst das ehemalige Amt Flensburg mit seinen Gütern, die Stadt Flensburg, der Flecken Glücksburg, der geschlossene Erste Angler Güterdistrikt sowie die enklavierten zum St. Johanniskloster gehörenden Landstellen. Durch die Kreisordnung vom 26. Mai 1888 schied die Stadt Flensburg aus dem Landkreis aus und bildete von da an die kreisfreie Stadt Flensburg. Der Bestand gelangte im Wesentlichen zwischen 1920 und 1944 in das damalige Staatsarchiv Kiel. Durch die kriegsbedingte Auslagerung gab es nur unbedeutende Verluste. Im Jahr 1966 wurde der Bestand kontrolliert, neu geordnet und verzeichnet. Erst im Jahre 2007 wurde der Bestand durch einen größeren Archivalientausch mit dem Kreisarchiv Schleswig-Flensburg um weitere 150 Verzeichnungseinheiten ergänzt. Gleichzeitig wurden die bisher als eigener Bestand geführten Akten der Flensburger Kreisbahn neu nummeriert und in alter Reihenfolge in den Hauptbestand eingearbeitetThe county of Flensburg-Land was founded by the Prussian decree of September 22, 1867. Initially, the former Office Flensburg with its properties, the city of Flensburg, the small town of Glücksburg, the First Anglian Property District ("Erster Angler Güterdistrik") as well as the \u27enclaved\u27 county places belonging to the Monastery of St. Johannis belonged to the newly founded county. By the county order of May 26, 1888, the city of Flensburg separated from the district and from then on formed the city of Flensburg with an own county status.
Between 1920 and 1944 the stock of the archival material was handed over to the Regional archives of Kiel. Because of the war-related outsourcing, there were only insignificant losses. In 1966 the stock was inspected, rearranged and listed. It was only in 2007 that a further archival exchange with the district archives of Schleswig-Flensburg extended the inventory by a further 150 distribu- tion units. At the same time, the files of the Flensburger Kreisbahn which had previously been kept as separate stock were renumbered and integratd into the main stock in the old order
