Lithuanian military warehous management problem.
Warehousing arrangements and the processes that are used by the Lithuanian Military will be introduced in the first part of the paper. The warehousing management systems will be introduced as well as the most popular warehousing systems widely adopted by businesses. The processes' management theory, which explains how to optimize the warehousing, will be addressed at the end of part one of the paper. A survey will be carried out in the second part of the paper. To begin, the methodology will be introduced. The experts survey method has been chosen for this part of the paper on the assumption that the experts that have been working in the warehousing environment for years are the most suitable sources for identifying existing problems. The gathered data was processed and grouped accordingly: by warehousing levels (from company's warehouses to the central warehouses of the Lithuanian Military) and by sector that affects the whole running of the Lithuanian Military's warehouses

The dangers of violent extremism are associated with different kind of people and groups, including such terrorist organizations like Islamic state or al–Qaeda. Violent extremism and its radicalization sequent is one of the most important problems in modern World, because in many cases the radicalizations affects young people who fight and die for terrorist organizations. One of the main instruments being used by terrorists for spreading radicalization is internet. Approximately every second Youtube is uploaded with 7 hours of new videos in 76 different languages. Facebook has about 1.7 billion active users and there are approximately 500 thousand new messages in Twitter every day. These conditions make internet perfect place for spreading those violent ideologies. Internet creates new opportunities for extremists to pass by usual and simple forms of information spreading mechanisms so it determines the fact that radical message can be translated directly and attract a lot of attention. Unfortunately, this attention can affect some people in the negative way
Possibilities of civil resistance in Lithuania: theoretical analysis of the problem.
Security situation in the world is changing rapidly; therefore Lithuanian armed forces must change its perception towards the country’s defense system and its organization methods by developing relations with the public, state authorities and allies. In order to ensure a credible deterrence and defense system based on both collective and national defense capabilities, the state national defense system leaders emphasize the necessity for a Lithuanian armed forces reserve. Majority of modern threats that pose a danger to national security, such as informational and cyber–attacks, hostile activities of foreign intelligence services, are of unconventional nature. Thus, the needs and the measures of defense system are very diverse. One of the measures to counter modern threats is anticipated civil resistance. Citizens can resist the aggression both by taking part in the armed defense of the country as well as engaging in non–violent civil resistance – civil defense where counter measures such as a protest, civil disobedience and non–cooperation are applied. The aim of civil resistance is to influence the enemy and reach out for international community’s support. The key elements of a successful civil resistance are the civil will to resist the aggressor and the nation’s determination to fight for the independence of the country with all possible means. In order to make civil resistance and armed defense of the state possible the knowledge and practical skills are required. Within a Lithuanian military doctrine the military readiness to defend the state is perceived not just as a compulsory military service or professional vocation. State’s defense needs not only trained soldiers, but also the citizens possessing a huge variety of skills and knowledge that match the requirements the state’s armed defense mobilization reserve. Civil resistance and civil defense are the activities of self–formed units consisting of the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania who are resisting aggression and occupation. The will and determination of the citizens to fight is encouraged by civil and patriotic education also knowledge, skills and nurtured attitude that are a necessary condition for active and responsible participation in the processes of democratic Lithuanian state and civil society and its protection from various threats and risks. The measures implemented within the country directed towards the development of civil competences for national defense should be intended for all citizens, regardless of whether or not a citizen according to the law is a military conscript or not, because civil will and military training are closely interrelated factors constituting unified training of citizens for universal and unconditional national defense system. In case of an a attack or attempt against the territorial integrity of Lithuania or its constitutional order the citizens and their self–acting derivatives should take actions of civil resistance such as non–violent resistance, disobedience and non–collaboration with aggressor, as well as armed resistance. Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union should be the central axis of the civil defense system organizing and executing civil resistance. It is crucial to include other organizations and citizens’ groups into civil resistance training system
Cyber war concept: 2007 attacks of Estonia and changes in NATO.
Cyber warfare twenty-first century is becoming increasingly important and is becoming the fifth military space. This spatial evolution is not fiction section which investigates the impossible, but on the other hand is the fruit of international experience. States securitizes its own experience and pursue a specific goal- cyber security of national networks. Cyber security in the academic literature is gaining an increasingly prominent place because of the uncertainty and the lack of investigation. While observing the academic community since 2007, it can be distinguished that cyberspace has become the fifth space war, but NATO has recognized this feature only in 2016. NATO is the most powerful defensive military alliance, but in cyberspace skills are not as strong as conventional warfare and the decision taking process is having a small acceleration in chasing current cyber capabilities. NATO as other alliance states saw cyber security more as a technical rather than a strategic issue. Cybersecurity politicization took place until a certain case. 2007 cyber attacks against Estonia have been the turning point for NATO that the politicization was no longer an option, and the organization itself began to achieve cyber security and its securitization
The Impact of the Russian Military Transformation on the Security and Defence Policy of the Baltic States.
After the Cold War, the growing Russian dissatisfaction with the diminishing influence in the global security environment, especially in the post-Soviet region, and the expansion of NATO into the post-Soviet region, has led Russia to choose a new foreign and security policy that has given Russia a basis for military transformation. Russia's unilateral decision to change the security architecture and restore, preserve and / or strengthen its influence in the post-soviet region became one of the main and most serious threats to the security of the Baltic States. Therefore, the purpose of this dissertation was to investigate the impact that the Russian military transformation had on the security and defense policy of the Baltic States during the research period (2008-2016). To achieve this goal a research model was constructed which is based on the triadic theory of neo-classical realism. The triadic research model based on the theory of neoclassical realism allows to analyse the research object using three variables: an independent variable (external factors or, in this case, Russian military power), intervening variable (internal factors: preferences and perceptions of the leaders of the Baltic States) and dependent variable (state’s foreign policy, in this case, the Baltic States’ security and defence policy). The search for the causative logic among these three variables makes it possible to explain the impact of external factors (independent variable) on the country’s foreign and security policy (dependent variable) by including the intervening variable in the research study, which allows to disclose better the causal relationships of the researched phenomenon. The results of the research showed that the factor which had the greatest impact on the Baltic States’ security and defence policy was not the Russian military transformation per se but the visualization of the Russian military transformation, namely, Russian military actions in Ukraine, especially the geographical proximity of these actions. They have led the Baltic States, firstly, to perceive the threats posed by Russia and, secondly, have made the political will of the leaders of the Baltic States to take appropriate actions, namely, to define Russia as a potential threat in the strategic national security documents and to strengthen the significant defence capabilities
Georgia’s integration into NATO after Russian Federation-Georgian war in 2008.
Changing world’s geopolitics is signalizing to the West that they suppose to pay more attention to countries, which could be in favor while increasing their military and economy capabilities in world system, which according to neorealism is anarchic. It is very important for the West especially now when these countries are also in Russian Federation and China’s interest zones
Changes in Lithuanian Military National Defence Volunteer Forces: tactics of swarming.
When Lithuania joined NATO in 2004, there were less discussion about territorial defense and more of it on the topic of collective defense. In the year 2008 Russia started a war in Georgia, it was followed up with a war in Ukraine, which took place in the year 2014, and this led to an international crisis, which in turn made the Western European countries question their security. Reacting to the new threat of modern (hybrid) warfare, the Lithuanian military was transformed strategically: the establishment of quick reaction forces, the return of conscription, riflemen adaptation. The changes were also felt in the National Defense Volunteer Forces of Lithuania (NDVF). They started using “swarm” tactics, which had never been used by them before. After questioning the people responsible for the exercise, as well as analyzing the exercise itself, we can conclude the pros and cons of this tactic

The aim – after conducting the analysis of Lithuanian armed force image formation to provide guidelines for its improvement. In order to reach the aim these objectives were formed: 1) to analyze the theoretical organization image forming process; 2) to perform a qualitative and quantitative studies, in which to identify pros and cons of Lithuania Armed forces; 3) To provide recommendations of how to improve Lithuanian Armed Forces image formation. In this paper these work and research methods were used: scientific literature, books, articles, laws, publicly available document analysis, generalization, comparison, graphic images and tables methods. The practical part consisted of a hybrid access method - quantitative (online survey, n = 400) and a qualitative expert interview (n = 4), and analysis of data obtained was made using statistical analysis (Cronbach alpha, descriptive characteristics, average calculation) and content analysis methods. It was found that advantages of Lithuanian military image formation are quality of tasks performed, corporate identity and staff uniforms, military professionalism, organizational culture and personnel image, while these Lithuanian army image components needs improvement: exterior, interior of buildings, organizational behavior, inefficient military conscription administration, the Lithuanian Armed Forces strategic communication and social aspects of operations
