Russian perception of its network-centric warfare capabilities in Syria /
No full textThis article examines Russian military and defence intellectuals’ reflection on Russia's military involvement in Syria. The research is based on a mix of open-source Russian military writings, mainly analytical texts in prominent Russian military journals. The aim of the study is to analyse Russian narrative of its military campaign in Syria. The first part begins by providing Russia's internal discussions about probable military coalitions-building variants, risks, and operational-level decisions and objectives. The second part deals with Russian Armed Forces’ network-centric warfare capabilities and limitations. The article concludes by showing that in Syria Russia introduced a modified network-centric warfare as its main feature of new method of operations is the combination of advanced intelligence-command assets and old-fashioned munitions

No full textThis article addresses a neglected question about the effects of dispersed authority in the European Union (EU) on the EU’s ability to manage external contestations. It investigates authority challenges from two major external actors in the energy, and specifically the gas sector, and scrutinizes the management of authority conflicts at local sites in different EU states in the Baltic Sea region. The second Russian transboundary submarine gas infrastructure project Nord Stream 2 (NS2), owned and managed by a whole-owned subsidiary of the Russian state-controlled energy giant Gazprom, serves as an illustrative case study. It reveals how multiple authority conflicts at different sites and levels, and the challenges from both the Russian Federation (Russia) and the United States of America (USA), played out, and why formal adjudication has been a primary tool for the EU and several of its member states to assert their authority and manage contestations at the local, national and EU level

Current actions around the world are also a threat to the state, so the issue of mobilization becomes more common. This is why preparing for a situation of emergency and mobilization is becoming more and more urgent, since it is imperative that such situations are prepared in order to preserve the security of the state and of the population. In order to ensure effective preparation, it is important to find out how cooperation takes place between public authorities. The purpose of this bachelor’s work is to establish interinstitutional cooperation between municipal administrations and institutions in preparation for a situation of emergency and mobilization. The subject of the investigation – the cooperation between the Mobilisation and Civil Resistance Department and the municipal authorities in preparation for a situation of emergency and mobilization. The aim of the research is analyze cooperation between the Mobilisation and Civil Resistance Department and municipal administrations in preparation for a situation of emergency and mobilization. For the purpose of the study, were analyzed scientific literature and documentary, which helped to clarify the concepts of emergency and mobilization, as well as the concept and specificities of cooperation. In order to reveal the cooperation between the institution, was used a semi-structured interview to investigate the readiness of Mobilisation and Civil Resistance Department and municipal administrations to cooperate in preparation for the emergency and mobilization, as well as the challenges they are facing
