Abstract in englis
Ending corruption in India by privatization, the last mile
International audienceCorruption in India is deemed an accepted reality by most Indians who spend at least Rs4000.00 a year on it. Even basic utilities that are run by the government need bribes ranging from thousands to lakhs of rupees. This paper is on the last mile of privatization that has at the least offered to the common man a world free of corruption. The paper explores the final frontiers of privatization, private forest management. land tenure systems and alternative computational law leading to a total non dependence on the government by the people and freedom from corruption. : Danmarksbilledet hos en italiensk renæssancehumanist, Æneas Silvius Piccolomini (Pius II)
A slightly revised version of an article published in a peer-reviewed anthology, 2007Et antal tekster af Æneas Silvius Piccolomini/Pius II (1405-1464) om Danmark præsenteres.
En refleksion over universitetsbibliotekets fremtidsperspektiv anno 2009
Two texts by Eneas Silvius Piccolomini on Denmark
Translation of a slightly revised article which appeared in peer-reviewed anthology in 2007Two texts of Eneas Silvius Piccolomini on Denmark are presented. One is the chapter on the Danish king, Eric VII of Pomerania, from De Viris Illustribus, and the other is the chapter on Denmark and the other Scandinavian realms from De Europa. The two texts form the basis of a picture of Denmark as held by an international European personality towards the middle of the 15th century
: A picture of Denmark as seen by an Italian renaissance humanist, Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini (Pius II)
The present text is a translation into English of a slightly revised version of an article published in a peer-reviewed anthology, Michael v. Cotta-Schønberg, De Daniae regno aliqua non indigna cognitu : Danmarksbilledet hos en italiensk renæssancehumanist Æneas Silvius Piccolomini (Pius II). In: Renæssancen i svøb : dansk renæssance i europæisk belysning 1450-1550. Edited by Lars Bisgaard, Jacob Isager and Janus Møller Jensen. Odense, Syddansk Universitetsforlag, 2008, pp. 83-110. The two most important texts by Piccolomini on Danmark are discussed separately in another peer-reviewed anthology: Michael v. Cotta-Schønberg, To tekster af Æneas Silvius Piccolomini om Danmark. In: Umisteligt – Festskrift til Erland Kolding Nielsen. Red. af John T. Lauridsen og Olaf Olsen. Copenhagen, The Royal Library, 2007, pp. 55-74. It has been published in the h-prints repository in a slightly revised English edition as: Two Texts by Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini on DenmarkEt antal tekster af Æneas Silvius Piccolomini/Pius II (1405-1464) om Danmark præsenteres. Særlig opmærksomhed helliges spørgsmålet om Kristian Is forhold til renæssancepavernes korstogsplaner indtil 1464.A number of texts on Denmark written by Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini/Pius II (1405-1464) are presented. An account is given of what Piccolomini will have known about Denmark and of his perception of Denmark as a peripheral state in the north of Europe and as a player in the European power game, as well as the relationship between Denmark and the Holy Roman Empire, and between Denmark and the Holy See. In particular, the position of King Christian I vis-à-vis the Crusade plans of the renaissance Popes -1464 is discussed
Laddade ord
In this article, words/terms that are exchanged over time are studied. Words/terms referring to the concept ‘person with intellectual disability' are discussed. The main data has been extracted from information brochures and web pages 1959–2009. The theoretical perspective combines cognitive linguistics and discourse analysis. The methodology makes use of image schemas as known from Lakoff & Johnson (1980) in order to evaluate the terms. Further, discourse analysis is used in order to reveal implicit presuppositions about authorities related to the concept (doctors, politicians etc.). The results show that all terms used during 1959–2009 exhibit various difficulties. Terms containing efter ‘after' and ner ‘down', such as efterbliven and person med funktionsnedsättning, will give rise to negative associations. Specific terms, such as barn som i sitt fortsatta leverne behöver mycket stora resurser för att kunna fortsätta sin utveckling 'children, who in their life from now on need very great resources in order to be able to continue their development' have great depth in terms of intention, but are difficult to use more generally. Concerning authorities, early texts (during 1950's and 1960's) express a strong confidence in authorities such as doctors and experts, while later texts (during 1990's and 2000's) show that the competence about ‘person with disabilities' is to be found in persons working close to the group (on a daily basis) or in the very group

Hprints - Licence to publish
This is the final report from Phase 2, the last phase of the second Nordbib-project on hprints and related issues. The first project set out to establish an e-print archive for the humanities and social sciences. Our case studies have shown that when informed more thoroughly about OA, researchers realised the potential advantages for them. The universities have a role here as well as the libraries that manage the archives and support scholars in various aspects of the publishing processes. Libraries are traditionally service providers with a mission to facilitate the knowledge production and dissemination of research results. Today‟s transitional and for researchers confusing state of scholarly communication should also lead to a modification of the missions of research libraries. Even they should undergo a kind of paradigm shift
