Full text linkThe digital environment has changed and new ICT has shaken librarianship. Digital resources have become essential tools for scholars and accordingly librarians need to be educated and well informed about all aspects of technology in order to help their users to formulate their information request, perform complex search of relevant information objects, interpret the results and locate what is in the physical property of certain library. For managing digital content, setting on information infrastructure is essential. Librarians use ICT but in most cases they don't understand them. With the changing role of librarians in the new environment raises the question of whether knowledge of what is „behind the system“ can contribute to improving the competence of the librarians in providing better services to its customers (for example in setting up quality modern education system). Perhaps learning about the „wheels that drive the system“ is not necessary for librarians to provide quality service but is certainly represents a challenge which overcome would surely bring many advantages. Poster will present free open source aplications like Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Moodle, Koha, Fedora (build on LAMP arhitecture) that can make use in digital scholary. Poster aim is to help understanding modern library infrastructure platform requiered for digital content publising, useage, scholary, management and preservation. The modern library needs a modern librarian that understands rapidly changing technology and can take full adventage of them

No full textOsnovni je motiv objavljivanja znanstvenih i stručnih radova što šira diseminacija autorovih spoznaja i dostignuća, o kojima u najvećoj mjeri ovisi njegov status, ugled i priznanje u znanstvenim i stručnim krugovima. Razvoj interneta i ostalih mehanizama izravnog izdavanja stvara novu paradigmu u znanstvenoj i stručnoj komunikaciji. Povećava se broj članaka koji se postupno pretvaraju u elektroničke inačice. U ovome radu prate se faze u osmišljavanju i oblikovanju stručno-znanstvenog časopisa Knjižničarstvo, od trenutka donošenja odluke o njegovom objavljivanju, prvo u papirnom, a potom i u elektroničkom obliku.Scientific and research papers are published primarily to disseminate author's knowledge and achievements. His status and reputation in scientific and professional community depends highly on published papers. Development of Internet and direct publishing mechanisms created new paradigm in scientific and professional communication. Large number of journals nowadays is published electronically. The aim of this paper is to analyze phases in creating and developing professional and scientific journal Librarianship from its beginnings when it was published only on paper until today when it is published electronically

No full textU radu su istraženi načini informiranja i poučavanja korisnika, studenata i znanstveno nastavnog osoblja o mrežnim stranicama fakultetskih knjižnica Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku te središnje sveučilišne knjižnice, Gradske i sveučilišne knjižnice Osijek. Istraživanje je pokazalo da načini informiranja i poučavanja nisu u potpunosti zadovoljili potrebe korisnika knjižnica. Rad na oblikovanju mrežnih stranica potrebno je usustaviti na razini pojedinih knjižnica, a potom pristupiti i oblikovanju mrežnog portala sveučilišnoga knjižničkog sustava.This work explores the ways of informing and educating library users, both students and academic staff, about the web sites of faculty libraries from Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and the web site of the City and University Library Osijek, which is the central university library. The research showed that the ways of informing and educating faculty library users do not completely satisfy their needs. It is necessary to systematize the design of individual library web sites, as wel as to develop the portal of university library system
