The university library in the 21st century – the role of the librarian
Visokoškolska nastava i visokoškolske knjižnice komplementarno se nadopunjuju i nadograđuju. Promjene koje su se u društvenom, obrazovnom i znanstvenom okruženju dogodile početkom 21. stoljeća snažno su utjecale i na visokoškolsku nastavu te ukazale na potrebu preoblikovanja visokoškolskih knjižnica u slobodna, otvorena, dostupna, neutralna i pouzdana mjesta u kojima se korisnik osjeća ugodno bez obzira na način na koji želi učiti i usvajati znanje – kroz socijalnu interakciju ili kroz razmišljanje i kontemplaciju. Korisniku visokoškolske knjižnice ona mora ponuditi izvore i alate pomoću kojih će učiti i usvajati znanje – zadovoljavajući broj sadržajno relevantne knjižnične građe koju može dobiti na korištenje ili joj je osiguran pristup te raznovrsne knjižnične proizvode i usluge. U ostvarivanju navedenoga ključna je uloga visokoškolskih knjižničara koji posjeduju profesionalne i osobne kompetencije.
Na posteru su prikazane proizvodi i usluge visokoškolske knjižnice 21. stoljeća te profesionalne kompetencije potrebne knjižničaru za njihovo planiranje i izvedbu, kao i osobne kompetencije knjižničara važne za interakciju s korisnicima te ostalim pripadnicima knjižnične, akademske i društvene zajednice kako bi oni knjižnicu doživljavali kao slobodno, otvoreno, dostupno, neutralno i pouzdano mjesto na kojemu mogu učiti i usvajati znanje. Samo korisnik zadovoljan prostorom i informacijskim izvorima koje mu nudi visokoškolska knjižnica te radom knjižničara osigurat će i u budućnosti mjesto koje knjižnicama tradicionalno pripada u akademskoj zajednici.Higher education teaching and higher education libraries are complementary and upgraded. The changes that took place in the social, educational and scientific environment at the beginning of the 21st century had a strong impact on higher education teaching and indicated the need to transform higher education libraries into free, open, accessible, neutral and reliable places where the user feels comfortable regardless of the way he wants to learn and acquire knowledge - through social interaction or through thinking and contemplation. To the user of the higher education library, it must offer sources and tools with which to learn and acquire knowledge - a sufficient number of content-relevant library materials that can be used or have access to, as well as a variety of library products and services. In achieving the above, the key role of higher education librarians who possess professional and personal competencies.
The poster shows the products and services of the higher education library of the 21st century, as well as the professional competencies needed by the librarian for their planning and implementation, as well as the librarian's personal competencies important for interaction with users and other members of the library, academic and social community so that they perceive the library as free, an open, accessible, neutral and reliable place where they can learn and acquire knowledge. Only a user satisfied with the space and information sources offered by the university library and the work of the librarians will ensure the place that libraries traditionally belong in the academic community in the future

Katalog izložbe, ilustracija i instalacija Čuvari priča izdan je u sklopu Međunarodnog festivala slikovnice “Čuvari priča”. Izložba je bila postavljena u Kulturnom centru Osijek, te je dio programa Osječkog ljeta kulture 2023. Festival se održavao 30. lipnja i 1. srpnja 2023. godine, a tema festivala je ilustratori i pisci u gostima

Reading habits of Croatian adult library users during COVID-19 lockdown in 2020
Introduction. COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 and consequent lockdown caused a number of changes in the everyday activities and lives of people globally. This paper looks into the change of reading habits of adult library users in Croatia.
Method. The online survey was administered through social media and mailing lists of Croatian public libraries, but part of the sample was obtained through snowball technique. The research was carried out in the period of February 15th to March 1st, 2021 resulting with the sample of 1.463 adult library users.
Analysis. The results were analysed by the SPSS statistical package.
Results. Results show that almost 50.0% of the sample experienced the change of reading habits (particularly reading books) during the 2020 lockdown and every third respondent believed that they started spending more time reading in 2020. The younger the respondents, the more likely they were to have the reading habits affected by the 2020 lockdown. Conclusions. Prolonged state of pandemic requires continuous study of reading habits that that keep changing and evolving
