ACTIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEMS
This paper analyzes parking assistance systems, with a particular focus on technologies that facilitate parking in urban environments. Short-term assets on the example of a hotel company
Solaris d.d.Assets are usually divided into two categories: current and non-current assets. Current (current)
assets such as cash, accounts receivable, and inventory are expected to be converted to cash
within one year. Long-term assets such as real estate, furniture and equipment are held for a
long time. In this paper, the focus is on short-term assets with reference to the short-term assets
of hotels. As its name suggests, short-term assets are assets that last up to one year. Hotel
companies derive their income from activities related to tourism, and as such are largely
dependent on seasonality in business. The paper shows the movement of short-term assets in
hotel companies on the example of the analysis of short-term assets with the help of data
available in their financial reports for the companies Villa Dubrovnik and Solaris d.d
SYNERGY OF MICE TOURISM AND THE GASTRONOMIC OFFER OF THE OLYMPIA & SKY HOTEL
Congress tourism is an integral part of the tourist offer, which is influenced by numerous factors. One of them is the gastronomic offer. The modern age, despite modernization and progress and the rapid growth of technology, also requires a return to traditional values. Local food, local production and autochthonous dishes are the basis of the gastronomic offer that enables the development of congress tourism in the season, and especially in the off-season. In addition to the business and work part, it is important for the participants of the congress to make quality use of their free time, which includes, among other things, gastronomy. By extending the tourist season with the development of congress tourism, the development of the destination and economic development are also affected. With its strategies, the Republic of Croatia is working on the development of congress tourism, including the gastronomic offer, and is also working on the development of congress centers in destinations with the improvement of accommodation and the modernization of congress halls. Some cities have become important congress venues in tourist markets in Europe and the world because, in addition to accommodation and spaces, they have natural beauty and cultural heritage. Congress tourism is also developing in Šibenik-Knin County, and one of the congress centers is Vodice and the Olympia and Olympia Sky hotels with a rich gastronomic offer, adapted to different types of participants in business events
SIGANTURE COCKTAILS
Signature cocktails represent a central element in modern hospitality, and this paper explores their historical evolution, marketing value, and impact on branding hospitality venues. SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STUDENT POPULATION AND MATERIAL CONDITIONS OF STUDYING IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
Najviše visokih učilišta imaju Zagreb, Split, Rijeka i Osijek. Socio-demografske karakteristike studenata analizirane u radu su: rodna i dobna struktura, socijalno podrijetlo, studenti s djecom, studenti obrazovani migranti, studenti s poteškoćama. Varijable materijalnih uvjeta studiranja analizirane u radu su: prostorni raspored i migracije izvan mjesta boravka, smještaj, prehrana, školarine te financiranje studija. One of the basic human rights is the right to education, which is under the category of social, economic and cultural rights. The purpose of liberalism was to achieve individual freedom, but it also resulted in the distribution of wealth from the poor to the rich countries. A highly educated population positively affects the growth and development of the country's economic system. Therefore, the goal of countries is to provide higher education to as many citizens as possible. In this context, the concept of education as a public good, intended for common use and realization of the public interest, appears. Also, the common denominator of the human right to education and education as a public good is the fact that all people are guaranteed equal access to public goods. Education is one of the most important factors in creating a knowledge society which is responsible for improving the quality of life. Croatia has one of the lowest rates of educated population, which is why a system of education vouchers is implemented. The Croatian education system underwent two major changes, in 1998 a division into university and professional studies was created, and the Bologna Declaration initiated the reform of higher education. According to ISVU (2024), there are 11 universities and 27 polytechnics in Croatia. Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek have the most universities. Studies in Croatia can be enrolled in regular or part-time status. The types of studies are as follows: university and professional undergraduate, university and professional graduate and university integrated undergraduate and graduate, specialist, professional short and doctoral studies. The number of students enrolled in higher education institutions in the academic year 2022/2023. is 151,827, which follows the downward trend in the number of students from 2018 to 2023. Socio-demographic characteristics of students were analyzed in the paper: gender and age structure, social background, students with children, educated migrant students, students with disabilities. The variable material conditions of studying are analyzed in the paper: spatial arrangement and migrations outside the place of residence, accommodation, food, school fees and financing of studies
THE PROCESS OF MARKETING PLANNING IN A COMPANY
This paper shows the importance of marketing planning in the company. Special emphasis in the work is on micro and small enterprises due to their high frequency and their specific role in the Croatian economy. Also, in order to determine the familiarity of entrepreneurs with marketing and marketing planning, empirical research was conducted on a sample of micro and small businesses in the area of Šibenik-Knin County. The results of the conducted research show that the level of familiarity with marketing among entrepreneurs is different, i.e. it shows that although there is an awareness of the importance of marketing, most companies do not have formal marketing plans, which can be an obstacle to long-term growth and sustainability in the market
CONTROLLING BUSINESS PROCESSES - PRODUCTION
To ukljuĉuje odreĊivanje kvantitativnih i kvalitativnih pokazatelja uspjeha, poput vremena obrade, troškova proizvodnje, kvalitete proizvoda i zadovoljstva kupaca. Controlling business processes in production represents a key aspect of management that focuses on monitoring, analyzing and improving all activities within the production chain in order to ensure efficiency, productivity and product quality. This process includes all steps from production planning to delivery of finished products to customers. One of the basic functions of controlling business processes in production is setting clear goals and performance standards for each phase of the production cycle. This includes determining quantitative and qualitative indicators of success, such as processing time, production costs, product quality and customer satisfaction. After setting goals, controlling business processes in production includes continuous monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to set standards. This is achieved by systematically collecting and analyzing production data, including information on costs, quality, processing time and resource efficiency. Finally, continuous process improvement is a key part of controlling business processes in production. This entails analyzing the results achieved through monitoring and evaluation and identifying opportunities for improvements in processes, technology or resource management
