EFFECTS OF SHOCK-WAVE THERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF PLANTAR FASCIITIS-SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

    No full text
Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. Pain occurs with accumulated damage to the plantar fascia and its attachment to the heel bone. Plantar fasciitis is a common occurrence in athletes, especially in long-distance runners, and can also occur in tennis players, basketball players and dancers. The pain develops gradually, and can occur suddenly and very strongly. Prevention is part of physiotherapy and is associated with treatment and rehabilitation. The goal of rehabilitation is to return to sports activities as early as possible with the least possible absence of training and competition. One of the therapeutic methods is shock wave therapy, which is a non-invasive treatment whose mechanism of action is based on acoustic impulses generated outside the body. During shock wave therapy, a high-intensity sound wave acts on body tissues. The aim of the study was to make a systematic review of the work on the treatment of plantar fasciitis through the impact of the shock wave compared to different methods of physical therapy on the diagnosis itself. Papers on the portals Pubmed, Science Direct and Google Scholar were searched, using the key words: pain, shock wave, plantar fascia, prevention, sports, treatment. 20 surveys were found that met the searches. Based on the evidence, it can be concluded that shock wave therapy has a positive effect in the treatment of plantar fasciitis in terms of reducing pain, increasing foot function, improving daily life activities, but it is not the best method of treating it, so further research is needed

Kod dobro odrađene rehabilitacije, šansa za ponovnom ozljedom se značajno smanjuje te iznosi otprilike 1%.Rupture of the distal biceps brachii tendon with an incidence of 5.4-100,000 injuries is a rare injury. This injury most often occurs when there is a heavy load on the extended elbow when lowering a load. There are several tests that are used in the diagnosis of this injury, and a combination of several tests has proven to be the best. When a rupture is diagnosed, rehabilitation begins, which can be done in two ways - conservatively or surgically. Considering the current knowledge, a conservative approach is advised only for elderly people, people who do not engage in heavy physical work and people who are not ready for surgery. In most cases it is necessary to perform an operation and then begin rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is done in 4 phases, and in order to prevent the injury from reoccurring, it is important to perform each phase sufficiently well without prematurely moving on to the next one. With well-done rehabilitation, the chance of re-injury is significantly reduced and amounts to approximately 1%

Nutrition affects body composition and body mass, which is related to sports performance. The aim of this research was to examine the eating habits of dancers in the Republic of Croatia and the relationship with the level of nutrition measured through the body mass index. 34 subjects with an average age of 35 participated in the research. The average length of dancing is 25 years. Through an online questionnaire, information was obtained about the subjects' eating habits, as well as basic information about gender, age, length of dance practice, training intensity, body mass and height, from which the body mass index was calculated. The results show that the majority of respondents are in the range of normal body mass, and there is no occurrence of mass malnutrition, as is common in aesthetic sports. The diet is mostly varied, without avoiding any group of nutrients. The differences found among the BMI values of the subjects distributed according to the consumption of certain foods speak about the possible influence of certain types of food on the energy balance in the body, and on the possibility of regulating body weight through changes in diet. Considering all the results, it can be concluded that the respondents mostly know the main principles of a healthy diet and that the respondents are careful to eat healthy, so that they can withstand all the challenges and demands that are put before them by practicing an aesthetic sport such as dance

The paper shows the impact of plyometrics on the prevention of injuries in volleyball. Volleyball is a very dynamic sport, which in the game phase consists of a large number of sudden movements and landings that can easily result in injury. On the volleyball court, different groups of players get injured with different frequency. Defensive players are most often injured, and the most common injuries are ankle, shoulder and knee injuries. Plyometric training consisting of three phases can increase joint stability and improve the quality of performance. If plyometric training lasts longer than 8 weeks, the results are particularly visible. This has been proven by numerous studies on numerous groups that have been observed. Groups of older volleyball players are slightly less represented in the research

Treći je stupanj ozljede gležnja najteži oblik gležanjskog uganuća, praćen izrazito jakom boli, velikim edemom, ukočenošću gležnja i labavosti gležnja zbog totalne rupture ligamenata i zglobne čahure. The ankle joint is made up of the upper and lower ankle joint. Ankle injuries are very common in modern clinical practice, and can occur in professional athletes, recreational athletes or in the general population. The goal of treating ankle injuries is to ensure the return of the patient's state of health before the injury and to improve that state. Ankle injuries are most often related to inadequate plantar flexion, eversion of the foot when the athlete hits the ground instead of the ball, inversions of the foot when the foot is poorly placed on the ground, when shoes slip on the ground, when a person steps on an object, during improper landings and lunges, etc. The first degree of ankle injury is the stretching of the ligaments without visible rupture and with minimal or absent edema and pain. The second degree of ankle injury is a moderately severe sprain of the ankle joint accompanied by pain, edema, joint stiffness and partial ligament rupture. The third degree of ankle injury is the most severe form of ankle sprain, accompanied by extremely severe pain, severe edema, ankle stiffness and ankle laxity due to total rupture of the ligaments and joint capsule. Rehabilitation after an ankle injury is carried out in stages and depends on the degree of ankle injury and the individual characteristics, needs, interests and overall health status of the patient. Therapeutic exercises must be performed on both extremities, from simple to complex exercises, and the patient must be provided with an individual, holistic, team and multidisciplinary approach

When the transformation of feudal society into a modern civil society began in the middle of the 19th century, the development of electoral legislation in the territory of the Republic of Croatia also began. In 1910, the first election law regulating the election procedure was passed, and the right to vote at that time was divided into active and passive. Men over the age of 24 who paid taxes had the active right to vote, and men over the age of 30 who could read and write had the passive right to vote. Only after the Second World War did Croatia recognize the right to vote for both men and women over the age of 18. Today, Croatian citizens from the age of 18 acquire the general and equal right to vote in parliamentary, presidential and local elections, as well as in the decision-making process in the national referendum, as well as in the elections for the European Parliament. Since the declaration of Croatia's independence and the holding of the first multi-party elections, numerous laws and other acts related to the electoral procedure have been amended, and Croatia remains one of the few European countries that applied two basic types of electoral systems and their combination when conducting elections. Precisely because of frequent reforms within the electoral system, as well as inconsistencies and shortcomings in the field of electoral legislation, there was a need to develop a single regulation that will unify the area of local elections, therefore, since 2013, local elections have been conducted based on the provisions of the current Act on Local Elections. According to Article 88 of this Act, the executive bodies of the units are elected by the majority electoral system in each electoral unit. If a person holds one of the positions that the Law classifies as an incompatible duty, and tries to accept the executive position he received after the announcement of the results of the local elections, he must resign from such position within 8 days. The head of the municipality, the mayor and the prefect and their deputies are elected by the majority of votes of all the voters who voted, which means that the candidate who won more than 50% of the votes in the first round will be elected. If no candidate receives the required majority of votes in the first round, the two candidates with the highest number of votes go to the second round. The mandate of municipal heads, mayors and prefects and their deputies ends with the expiration of the mandate or by force of law, and may end before the expiration of the mandate in accordance with the provisions of the law

Češće pogađa žensku populaciju i radno aktivne osobe. Frozen shoulder syndrome is painfull state that disables and deteriorates quality of life. Patients are limited in doing most activities on a daily basis. More often it affects female population, rather than male, and active working people. Two main symptoms are pain and limited range of motion. Which of two main symptoms will dominate, depends of the phase of the injury. There are three phases: freezing, frozen and defrosting phase. They don't need to last the same amount on all of the pacients. Diagnosis is based upon clinical review, history taking, conducting tests and switching off other injuries. Treatment starts with conservative treatment with different kinds of physiotherapy, like electrotherapy, thermal procedures, exercise, manual therapy etc. Conservative treatment in most cases is succesfull, unless it doesn't come to improvement after 6 months of therapy, then it's recomended to treat with operation

– 2020. godine. Navedeni Program prioritetnim označava pokretanje malog i srednjeg poduzetništva te poticanje poduzetničke inicijative. Kao lokalna jedinica, Općina Nijemci svoju ulogu poticanja poduzetništva u proteklih je nekoliko godina ostvarila jačanjem poduzetničke inicijative i promicanjem poduzetništva, educiranjem lokalnih poduzetnika i informiranjem o mogućem financiranju i proširenju poslovanja, sufinanciranjem troškova obveznih doprinosa novim i postojećim gospodarskim subjektima, sufinanciranjem nabave opreme poduzetnicima koji se namjeravaju obavljati zdravstvenu djelatnost, te izgradnjom triju poslovnih zona i planom izgradnje Auto parka „Lipovac“, čime se na područje Općine želi privući nove poduzetnike i investitore. One of the essential tasks of every modern democratic state is to create the preconditions for the development of entrepreneurship and to establish a legal framework that will encourage, direct and strengthen entrepreneurial potential within the national economy. The legislative framework that represents the basis for strengthening entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Croatia consists of the Act on Encouraging the Development of Small Business and the Act on the Improvement of Entrepreneurial Infrastructure. In order to ensure the best possible development of entrepreneurship in their area, local governments must create a stimulating entrepreneurial climate and play the role of partners in relation to entrepreneurs. If public institutions and services and public companies are managed in a quality and transparent manner, a professional, professional and reliable environment will be created within the local community that could give entrepreneurs an additional incentive. The development strategy of the Municipality of Nijemci from 2015 to 2020 is the main tool by which the local self-government unit elaborates in detail the strategic goals in terms of encouraging economic development. Based on the Strategy, the Municipal Council adopted the Program for Stimulating the Development of the Economy of the Municipality of Nijemci for the Period 2019-2020. The above-mentioned Program prioritizes the start-up of small and mediumsized enterprises and the encouragement of entrepreneurial initiative. As a local unit, the Municipality of Nijemci has achieved its role of encouraging entrepreneurship in the past few years by strengthening entrepreneurial initiative and promoting entrepreneurship, educating local entrepreneurs and informing about possible financing and business expansion, co-financing the costs of mandatory contributions to new and existing businesses. intend to perform health care activities, and the construction of three business zones and the construction plan of the Auto Park "Lipovac", which aims to attract new entrepreneurs and investors to the Municipality

If a foreigner finds himself in Croatia and wants to submit a request for international protection (refugee status or subsidiary protection), he should be familiar with the legal process for realization the right to asylum. In this paper, the definition of asylum and refugee is explained, as well as the rights and obligations of asylum seekers in relation to the country in which they find themselves and different statuses of asylum seekers, foreigners under subsidiary protection and foreigners under temporary protection. The work is focused on the process of realization the right to asylum, from the submission of the application to the decision on the application through the regular or special procedure. The regular procedure for asylum is carried out if the foreigner submitted an application for asylum, agreed to cooperate with the police, stated the facts about leaving the country of origin, and provided personal documents in order to establish the truth of his story. A special procedure occurs if the foreigner does not fulfill the requirements necessary for the regular procedure. Most often, it is about returning to the country of origin. Statistically speaking, Croatia does not receive many refugees annually, but certainly participates in improving acceptance and helping asylum seekers integrate into our society

The Internet, as a new medium, certainly plays the biggest role of information transmission today in a global sense. In addition to the various possibilities that the Internet offers, social networks, their goal, and the advantages and disadvantages of using them stand out in particular. The paper highlights the disadvantages and advantages of using social networks, namely the Internet, where the spread of disinformation and the creation of panic between society is emphasized in particular as part of the topic of work. The importance of social networks is growing rapidly with the beginning of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which carries with it a significant number of information that is not static and changes by the day. Therefore, monitoring and absorbing information about the movement of the virus requires attention and daily verification of information that in this case is most often viewed precisely through social networks. In the context of social networks, Instagram, a visual type of communication between users, stands out among young people
