AI-based business process automation
malih i srednjih poduzeća.This thesis explores the application of artificial intelligence in the automation of business
processes within small and medium-sized enterprises, with a particular focus on the practical
use of AI tools in real business environments. Through two case studies – the development of
an AI chatbot for customer support in the electromobility sector and the automation of proposal
generation for congress travel in a travel agency – the thesis demonstrates how advanced
technologies can improve operational efficiency, reduce processing time, and increase service
scalability.
The work is based on the use of no-code and low-code platforms, which enable fast and flexible
development without the need for traditional programming. This approach makes such
technologies accessible even to companies with limited technological capabilities. Key
components of the system are analyzed: structured data collection, the use of language models
for analysis and text generation, and integration with external API services (e.g., flights,
accommodation, transfers).
The results show clear advantages of applying such solutions – significant time savings, reduced
manual workload, improved accuracy, and enhanced user experience. In addition to the
benefits, the thesis also identifies challenges such as technical complexity, limited access to
certain APIs, and the need for further development and iterations during implementation.
In conclusion, the thesis confirms the potential of AI-powered automation in the digital
transformation of small and medium-sized businesses
Influence of noise from old and new generation commercial aircraft on the health of flight and cabin crew
Noise, as one of the growing concerns in air transport, has a negative impact not only on passengers, local communities, and the environment, but also on the health of flight and cabin crew members. The aim of this paper is to compare the impact of aircraft noise generated by older - generation aircraft (represented in this study by the Dash8 - Q400) and newer - generation aircraft (Airbus A220 - 300), based on conducted noise level measurements on regular flight routes between Zagreb and Split. In addition to these measurements, a survey was carried out among flight and cabin crew members for the purposes of this study. Based on the conducted measurements, it was established that the Dash 8-Q400 aircraft is louder than the Airbus A220 - 300. Furthermore, the survey results indicated that the negative effects of noise are present among both flight and cabin crew, with a more pronounced impact observed among cabin crew members
Analiza utjecaja parametara modela vozača na izdvojene utjecajne značajke profila vožnje
In motorsport, minimizing lap time is the ultimate goal, guiding all research and development activities. One common tool used in this pursuit is the Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulator, where a human driver interacts with a virtual environment to test and optimize vehicle systems. However, relying on human drivers for these simulations is time-consuming and limits the potential for automation of the system parameter optimization.
To address this challenge, there is an increasing shift toward replacing human drivers with driver models that can accurately replicate on-track behavior. While current solutions for creating respective digital twins often rely on machine learning techniques, they typically require large amounts of training data, making them resource-intensive and less cost-effective.
This research focuses on identifying the dependencies between driver model parameters and key driving performance indicators defined here as key performance indicators (KPIs). By understanding these parameters and KPIs relationships, it becomes possible to optimize driver models more efficiently, reducing the need for extensive data collection and data-driven training. The study also includes a validation of the identified dependencies, confirming their relevance and practical applicability for future integration into advanced simulation and optimization frameworks

In this thesis, manually powered carts designed specifically for transporting and charging the battery used in a Formula Student race car were thoroughly conceptualized and structurally developed. The primary objective was to create a mobile and functional solution that would enable the safe and simple transport of the battery within the pit area, integrating a charging system to minimize the need for additional equipment during competitions.
The thesis begins with an analysis of existing solutions and a review of the technical requirements outlined by the Formula Student competition rules, emphasizing safety when working with high voltage and ergonomics for handling heavy components. After defining technical and functional requirements, several conceptual designs for the cart were developed and evaluated according to predefined criteria, such as stability, ease of use, safety, and charging system integration.
Based on the evaluation results, the highest-rated concept was selected for detailed structural development. This phase included precise technical calculations of key components, such as load-bearing structures and a locking mechanism for securing the battery during transport. Additionally, comprehensive technical documentation and a 3D model were created using CAD software, allowing for visualization of the final design and verification of its feasibility and practicality.
In addition to structural aspects, the thesis also addresses safety measures necessary for compliance with international standards for handling lithium-ion batteries, including electrical connection insulation and protection against mechanical damage. By integrating a charging system within the cart, additional functionality was achieved, simplifying the technical team’s work and reducing the time required for vehicle preparation during competitions.
As a result of this thesis, an innovative and practical solution was developed that meets all specified technical requirements, contributing to improved operational efficiency in Formula Student competitions
Suspension compliance measuring device for Formula Student race car
Problems with elastic deformations of the suspension were observed on the track during testing. It is assumed that the greatest deformations occur on the wheel rim, but these are only assumptions. The goal of the suspension compliance measurement device is to collect as much useful data as possible, primarily concerning changes in the wheel's camber and toe angles.
This paper analyzes the problems causing suspension deformations, presents existing solutions available on the market, and introduces potential solutions. Following this, an optimal solution for the current needs of the FSB Racing Team was developed in detail, presented comprehensively, and supported with a cost analysis and technical documentation
Blood Parasites of Birds of the Order Psittaciformes
i sposobnosti oponašanja zvukova, uključujući i govor.
patogenezu, metode dijagnostike i suzbijanja. Opisuje vrste parazita rodova Haemoproteus,
Plasmodium, Leucocytozoon, Trypanosoma i drugih, ističući njihov složen razvojni ciklus,
Haemoproteus mogu ostati asimptomatske, osim u slučaju visokog stresa.
Dijagnostika je temeljena na mikroskopskom pregledu krvnih razmaza i
molekularnim metodama, dok prevencija podrazumijeva izolaciju ptica od vektora
korištenjem zaštitnih mreža i tretmanima insekticidima. Liječenje uključuje primjenu
specifičnih antiparazitskih lijekova, uz isticanje važnosti kontinuiranog monitoringa i
Parrots are birds of the order Psittaciformes, known for their vivid colors, intelligence
and ability to imitate sounds, including speech. Like other birds, parakeets can be infected
with parasites, including blood parasites.
Parrots, popular as pets and exhibition animals, are often at risk of parasitic invasions,
particularly in captivity where conditions for transmission are more favorable. Exotic birds
imported from regions free of natural blood parasite presence are often exposed to various
groups of these parasites in zoos. Such birds, which are not evolutionarily or physiologically
adapted to local blood parasite species, are particularly susceptible to invasions when
introduced to new habitats conducive to parasite transmission. In contrast, the incidence of
blood parasites is lower in wild populations, although stress and immunosuppression can
increase susceptibility.
This thesis provides a detailed analysis of the blood parasites of birds belonging to the
order Psittaciformes (parrots), offering a comprehensive overview of their biological
characteristics, prevalence, pathogenesis, diagnostics, and control methods. It describes
parasitic species from the genera Haemoproteus, Plasmodium, Leucocytozoon, Trypanosoma,
and others, highlighting their complex life cycles that involve stages in birds i. e. hosts and
hematophagous insects i. e. vectors.
Parasites such as Plasmodium spp. cause significant pathological changes, including
anemia, splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and pulmonary edema, whereas invasions by
Haemoproteus spp. are often asymptomatic unless the birds experience significant stress.
Diagnostics is based on microscopic examination of blood smears and molecular
methods, while prevention focuses on isolating birds from vectors using protective nets and
insecticide treatments. Treatment involves the use of specific antiparasitic medications,
emphasizing the importance of continuous monitoring and research to reduce the impact of
blood parasites on parrot health

D. immitis i D. repens oblići su iz koljena Nematoda, razreda Chromadorea, reda Spirurida,
porodice Onchocercidae i roda Dirofilaria. Uzročnici su invazijske bolesti, dirofilarioze koja
spada u bolesti prenosive vektorima.
Ochlerotatus, Anopheles, Armigeres i Mansonia.
Modificiranim Knottovim testom i
morfometrijskim odlikama je dokazana prisutnost D. repens u 1,81% uzoraka.D. immitis and D. repens are species from the phylum Nematoda, class Chromadorea, order
Spirurida, family Onchocercidae and genus Dirofilaria. They are the causative agents of an
invasive disease, dirofilariosis, which belongs to vector-borne diseases. The most common
hosts are dogs, however, invasion has been proven in wolves, foxes, cats, including domestic
cats, bears, pandas, beavers, rabbits, deer, horses, and humans. The disease is transmitted by
mosquitoes from the family Culicidae and the genera Culex, Aedes, Ochlerotatus, Anopheles,
Armigeres and Mansonia. D. immitis is the causative agent of cardiopulmonary dirofilariosis,
while D. repens mostly does not cause clinical signs or nonspecific dermatological symptoms
can occur. Both species are zoonotic agents, whereas in Europe most cases in humans are caused
by D. repens. Due to its distribution throughout the Republic of Croatia, the aim of this research
was to determine the presence and species of Dirofilaria sp. in dogs in Krapina-Zagorje County
and, if necessary, treat the proven reservoirs so they do not represent a source of invasion for
other animals and humans. The research was conducted in Krapina-Zagorska County, on 110
dog blood samples. The modified Knott's test and morphometry proved the presence of D.
repens in 1.81% of the sample

Optimization of the generator frame bracket
odgovarajuća nosivost i pouzdanost štita. Cilj je postići optimalno konstrukcijsko rješenje
koje zadovoljava sve tehničke zahtjeve uz visoku učinkovitost, stabilnost i dugotrajnost
sustava.
Hydropower is the leading source of renewable electricity, and its potential in today's world is
exceptionally high due to the increasing demand for clean energy. The primary machine for
generating electricity from hydropower is the generator, which converts mechanical energy
from the turbine into electrical energy. During this process, the generator housing absorbs
significant forces transmitted through the turbine and shaft, necessitating the durability and
strength of all its components. One of the key components ensuring the proper operation and
rigidity of the generator is the generator shield, which is an integral part of the housing and
responsible for transferring axial loads. A properly dimensioned and optimized shield is
essential for enhancing the safety and lifespan of the machine. This thesis focuses on optimizing
the mechanical design of the housing shield for application in hydropower plants. The first step
involves analyzing the mechanical characteristics of the shallow shield, with an emphasis on its
rigidity, using the Finite Element Method (FEM). A detailed analysis will assess the shield's
ability to transfer axial loads and ensure the system's overall stability.
Furthermore, it is necessary to evaluate the justification for using a deep shield compared to a
shallow shield. These two designs differ in shape and manufacturing methods. The next phase
of the study involves simulating the welding process to analyze residual stresses that may affect
the integrity and lifespan of the shield. The results of this analysis will provide better insight
into the material's behavior during welding and help identify potential weak points that could
compromise structural stability. This simulation also contributes to improving the shield
manufacturing process and reducing the risk of cracks or deformations. Based on the conducted
analyses, an optimized structural solution for the deep shield will be developed. As part of the
optimization, a numerical study of strength and rigidity will be performed to ensure adequate
load-bearing capacity and reliability of the shield. The goal is to achieve an optimal design that
meets all technical requirements while ensuring high efficiency, stability, and durability of the
system. At the end of the thesis, all measurable parameters will be compared to determine the
justification for implementing the optimized shield. Axial rigidity, maximum stresses, and
manufacturing costs will be evaluated to draw a conclusion regarding the cost-effectiveness of
the new solution
