Piano lessons in the time of the pandemic
No full textOvaj diplomski rad bavi se općenitim zakonitostima nastave s naglaskom na nastavu klavira u doba pandemije SARS CoV-2. Spominju se razlike između tradicionalne i suvremene nastave te se karakterizira pojava tzv. „online“ nastave. U radu se oslanja i na nastavu klavira, izazove prilikom održavanja nastave preko računalnih tehnologija te vrednovanje i problematiku ocjenjivanja. Objašnjavaju se novonastali modeli održavanja nastave te njihove prednosti i mane. Na samom kraju rada spominje se situacija sa održavanjem koncerata, seminara i javnih nastupa prilikom trajanja pandemije.This thesis deals with the general laws of teaching with an emphasis on piano teaching in the era of the SARS CoV-2 pandemic. There are mentioned the differences between traditional and modern teaching and also the appearance of the so-called „online“ teaching. In this paper, also rely on piano teaching, challenges in teaching through computer technology, and evaluation and assessment issues. There are also explained the newly created models of teaching and their advantages and disadvantages. At the very end of the paper there are mentioned the situation with holding concerts, seminars and public appearances during the pandemic
Harp in different cultures and different types of music genres
No full textČesto se harfu smatra klasičnim instrumentom, dijelom klasičnog orkestra ili komornog sastava. Ipak, harfa je od davnina i u različitim kulturama koristila kao simbol vjere, moći i mitskih bića, a svirala se u različitim situacijama, oblicima i sastavima. S vremenom je riječ harfa dobila i konotaciju snažnog instrumenta koji se u električnoj i elektro-akustičnoj verziji može svirati i nadopunjava i obogaćuje bandove ili solo nastupe zabavne glazbe. Ovaj rad prikazat će harfu u novom svjetlu, različitim kulturama i različitim vrstama glazbe.The harp is often thought of as a classical instrument or as a pat of either a classical orchestra or a classical chamber music group. Nonetheless, the harp has been a part of ancient cultures, in which she was used as a symbol for religion, power or mythical creatures, and it was played in different situations, forms or groups. With time, the word harp received a new connotation of a strong instrument which can be played in an electric or electro-acoustic version and can play as well as enrich different bands, solo performances, and not only in classical music. This paper will show the harp in a new light, different cultures and different types of music genres
Chromatic Phantasy BWV 903 in the context of its manuscript sources
No full textU ovom se diplomskom radu na temelju povijesnih rukopisnih izvora analizira Kromatska fantazija (BWV 903) Johanna Sebastiana Bacha. Naglasak je stavljen na analizu oznaka za prstomet, artikulaciju i arpeggio te njihovu međusobnu usporedbu u izvorima. Prikupljene bi informacije, stoga trebale omogućiti bolji uvid u neke izvedbene probleme ove skladbe, kao i barokne izvedbene prakse općenito.In this master thesis I will analyze several manuscript sources of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Chromatic Phantasy (BWV 903). The aspects of fingering, articulation and arppeggi will be mostly discussed and compared. Therefore, collected information will provide better understanding of some problems concerning this piece and baroque performance practice in general

No full textOvaj diplomski rad istraţuje teorijske i praktiĉne naĉine povezanosti koncepta GraĊanskog odgoja i obrazovanja (GOO), koji se provodi kao meĊupredmetna tema, i predmeta Glazbene umjetnosti unutar trogodišnjih i ĉetverogodišnjih srednjih škola u Republici Hrvatskoj. Povijesni prikaz promjena globalnih, europskih i hrvatskih koncepata graĊanstva i GOO-a, njihova problematizacija te analiza Kurikuluma meĊupredmetne teme GOO daju osnovu za njegovu implementaciju. Analizom navedenog Kurikuluma i Kurikuluma za nastavni predmet Glazbene umjetnosti predlaţu se smjernice za implementaciju meĊupredmetne teme u nastavi Glazbene umjetnosti.This thesis explores the theoretical and practical ways of connecting the modern concept of Citizenship Education (CE) in secondary schools, which is implemented as an cross-curricular theme, and secondary music education in the Republic of Croatia. The historical presentation of changes in global, European and Croatian concepts of citizenship, their problematization and the analysis of the Croatian curriculum of citizenship education provide a basis for its implementation. Through the analysis of the aforementioned curriculum and the secondary music education curriculum, guidelines are proposed for the implementation of cross-curricular theme in secondary music education
The phenomena of wind orchestras in the example of Wind orchestra Zaprešić
No full textDjelovanje puhačkih orkestara na području Hrvatske pripada sferi glazbenog amaterizma, kompleksnog fenomena koji postaje problematičan u trenutku njegovog definiranja. Usporedbe amaterskih i profesionalnih glazbenika u puhačkim orkestrima pokazuju kako je svaki primjer poseban te se nalazi u „sivom području“. Autorica ovog rada, ujedno i članica Puhačkog orkestra Zaprešić, sudioničkim promatranjem i ulogom insidera stvorila je terensko istraživanje u kojem je ispitivala to „sivo područje“ između amaterizma i profesionalizma. U tom smislu, provedeni su mnogi razgovori s glavnim akterima puhačkog svijeta, između ostalog i s članovima Puhačkog orkestra Zaprešić. Veliki dio tih sudionika okuplja se godišnje na Susretu hrvatskih puhačkih orkestara (natjecanju puhačkih orkestara) tijekom kojeg su problemi puhačkog amaterizma najuočljiviji. S obzirom na trenutačno ograničeno stanje stručne literature po pitanju puhačkih orkestara, cilj ovog rada je potaknuti daljnja istraživanja na tu temu u odnosu na sferu hrvatskog glazbenog amaterizma.Wind orchestra activity in Croatia belong to the sphere of musical amateurism, which is a complex phenomenon that becomes problematic in the moment of defining its concept. Comparisons between amateur and professional musicians in wind orchestras show that every example is unique and has its place in the „gray area“. Author of this work, also at the same time a member of the Wind orchestra Zaprešić, through participant observation and the insider role made a field research in which she questions that „gray area“ between amateurism and professionalism. In that sense, author conducted many conversations with the main operators of the wind world, including the members of the Wind orchestra Zaprešić. Great part of those participants gathers at the annual Encounters of Croatian Wind Orchestras (wind orchestra competition), where the problems of wind amateurism are the most visible. Considering the limited state of the specialized literature that deals with wind orchestras, purpose of this work is to encourage further research on this topic regarding the sphere of musical amateurism in Croatia

Comparative study of burnout among music students and professional musicians in Croatia
No full textCilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitivanje simptoma sagorijevanja (burnout) formalno obrazovanih glazbenika usporedbom razina sagorijevanja diplomiranih zaposlenih profesionalnih glazbenika i studenata glazbe. Istraživanje je provedeno u Republici Hrvatskoj na uzorku od 293 ispitanika: 187 diplomiranih zaposlenih glazbenika i 106 studenata muzičkih akademija. Za ispitivanje je korišten Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT, Schaufeli i sur., 2019, 2020), preveden na hrvatski jezik i kontekstualno prilagođen za ispitivanje studenata. Anketa je provedena anonimno putem interneta u travnju i svibnju 2021. godine, te je uključivala i sakupljanje osnovnih sociodemografskih podataka o ispitanicima. Istraživanje je pokazalo da formalno obrazovani glazbenici u Hrvatskoj imaju niske do umjerene razine sagorijevanja, koje su više kod onih koji putuju, nešto više kod cjelokupnog uzorka studenata nego profesionalaca, te najviše kod studentica.This study aimed to measure and assess symptoms of burnout among professional, formally educated musicians in comparison to higher education music students. The research was carried out in the Republic of Croatia and included 293 participants, of which 187 were professionals and 106 were music students. The research was conducted via a Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT, Schaufeli et al., 2019, 2020), a questionnaire translated to Croatian and additionally adjusted for music students. An anonymous online survey was administered during April and May of 2021, and included basic sociodemographic information. The study showed that formally educated musicians in Croatia have low to moderate levels of burnout, which are higher among those that commute, somewhat higher among the student population than professionals, and highest among female students
