Warehouse processes on the example of Bauhaus centre
Skladišta kao objekti predstavljaju vrlo važan dio u lancu opskrbe. Neadekvatna organizacija poslovanja, oprema ili edukacija zaposlenika u skladištu uzrokuje dodatne troškove poslovanja, stoga je od velike važnosti primjereno upravljanje i optimizacija svih slagališnih resursa i procesa. Skladišni procesi moraju se uspješno odvijati kako bi se postigla potrebna razina zaštite robe, smanjilo vrijeme čekanja na otpremu robe te ostvarila maksimalna produktivnost.
Svrha ovog rada je analiza načina izvršavanja skladišnih procesa u tvrtki Bauhaus, s ciljem utvrđivanja uskih grla u pojedinim skladišnim operacijama te otklanjanje istih kroz unapređenje poslovnih procesa u skladištu tvrtke Bauhaus.
Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da je tvrtki Bauhaus potrebno unapređenje skladišnih procesa kako bi se postigla još veća produktivnost skladišta te se kao prijedlog ističe uvođenje RFID tehnologije i robotizacije u svakodnevni rad skladišta.Warehouses as an object represent a very important part in a supply chain. Inadequate organisation of management, equipment and employee training in the warehouse causes additional costs for business management, therefore it is of great importance to properly manage and optimise of all warehouse resources and processes. Warehouse processes must be successful in order to achieve the required level of goods protection, reduce the waiting time for shipment and achieve maximum productivity.
The objective of this paper is to analyse how the warehouse processes in the Bauhaus company are orderly, with the aim of identifying bottlenecks in each warehouse process and eliminating them by further developing the business processes in the Bauhaus company warehouse.
The research results show that Bauhaus company needs improvement of warehouse processes in order to achieve higher warehouse productivity, and the introduction of RFID technology and robotization in daily warehouse operations is mentioned as a suggestion
The ecological aspects of oil transport by tankers
Problematika onečišćenja nastalog izlijevanjem ulja obično se spominje u kontekstu velikih akcidentnih izljeva koji mogu imati i vrlo štetne posljedice po ljude, gospodarstvo i okoliš. No, za razumijevanje mogućih ekoloških učinaka i načina zbrinjavanja potrebno je obuhvatiti i nešto širi kontekst. Stoga, u samom radu pojašnjene su karakteristike ulja te njegove fizikalne i kemijske promjene nastale u doticaju s morskom površinom, značajke tankera kojima se takva ulja prevoze te sustavi koji se na njima nalaze, kao i metode čišćenja i zaštite mora i morskog okoliša. Naglašava se provođenje i primjena pravila i propisa međunarodnih organizacija te konvencija koje reguliraju brodske dokumente kojima se nastoji spriječiti nastanak takvih događaja.The environmental pollution caused by the oil spillage is mostly mentioned within the context of accidental spills on a greater scale which could potentially have devastating consequences for people, the economy and the environment. In order to understand the possible environmental impacts and different methods of disposal, it is necessary to take into consideration even broader context on a larger scale. Therefore, this dissertation explains the characteristics of oil as well as its physical and chemical modifications and changes once in contact with the sea surface, the characteristics of tankers which are used for the transportation of such oils and different tanker’s systems as well as the cleaning methods used for the protection of the sea and marine environment. This paper also emphasizes on the application and implementation of international organization’s rules and regulations as well as the conventions which are responsible for the regulation and governing of ship documentation with the main mission of the prevention of such occurrences and events
History of container shipping
Kod ovog rada obrađivati će se kontejnerski brodovi s naglaskom na njihovu povijest od davnih dana prošlog stoljeća kad je izumljen prvi kontejner pa sve do danas. U prvom dijelu proći će se kratko razdoblje prije kontejnerizacije te će se nakon toga pričati o počecima i daljnjem razvijanju kontejnerizacije te čovjeku koji je zaslužan za sve to “ocu kontejnerizacije” Malcolm McLeanu. Osvrnuti će se na sve generacije brodova koje smo imali od početka pa sve do danas te karakteristike koje su obilježile svaku pojedinu generaciju. Uzet ćemo u uvid i koje su to najveće brodarske kompanije danas u svijetu te malo razmotriti kakvo je stanje svjetske flote u današnjici. Pri kraju ćemo se dotaknuti i pokušati odgonetnuti kakvu nam budućnosti nosi kontejnersko brodarstvo, da li će se graditi veći brodovi, većih brzina, drugačijih izvedbi ili više ekonomski osviješteni.This work will deal with container ships with a focus on their history from the early days of the last century when the first container was invented until today. In the first part, a short period will pass before containerization, after which we will talk about the beginnings and further development of containerization and the man who is responsible for all of this, the "father of containerization", Malcolm McLean. It will refer to all the generations of ships that we have had from the beginning until today and the characteristics that characterized each generation. We will also take a look at which are the largest shipping companies in the world today and consider the state of the world's fleet today. Towards the end, we will touch on and try to figure out what kind of future container shipping holds for us, whether bigger ships, higher speeds, different designs or more economically conscious ones will be built
Multiplier effects of the development of ports open for public transport
Morska luka predstavlja mjesto za pristan, odnosno dolazak brodova, te ukrcaj, iskrcaj i prekrcaj putnika i tereta s brodova. Imaju ekonomsku snagu za razvoj prometa, turizma i gospodarstva države u kojoj se nalaze. Samim time morske luke se osnovno dijele na putničke i teretne, no postoji mnogo podjela luka s obzirom na različite kriterije. Jedna od važnijih podjela morske luke je s obzirom na njihovu namjenu i to je na luke otvorene za javni promet i luke posebne namjene. Otvorene za javni promet dijele se na domaći promet te luke i međunarodni promet.
Multiplikativni učinci su učinci koji utječu na razvoj luke i to jednokratne promjene vanjskih varijabli na unutarnje varijable. Ports open to public traffic are divided into domestic traffic and ports and international traffic.
Multiplicative effects are effects that affect the development of the port, namely one-time changes of external variables to internal variables. They affect the growth and development of the entire economy of a country and the growth and development of an individual or a certain group within that country
The use of delivery drones
Dronovi predstavljaju inovativnu tehnologiju koja je svoju primjenu našla u različitim područjima i djelatnosti. Poboljšanja u tehnologiji bespilotnih letjelica (dronova) utjecala su i na njihovu sve veću primjenu u industriji prijevoza, posebice u dostavi paketa e-trgovine, hrane, lijekova i drugih dobara, opskrbi brodova i dr. Cilj rada je, uz teorijske odrednice dostave i isticanja temeljnih značajki dronova, ukazati na upotrebu dronova u dostavi. U radu su opisane značajke tehnologije dostave te novi oblici dostave uz autonomnu dostavu i dostavu “posljednje milje”. Poseban je naglasak dan na teorijske odrednice bespilotnih letjelica. Iako je tijekom povijesti civilizacije ljudska težnja bila usmjerena ka izradi bespilotnih letjelica tek je tehnološki razvoj u 20. stoljeća omogućio njihovu izradu i primjenu. U početku u vojnoj primjeni, dronovi se u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća šire i na civilnu upotrebu. Mogućnosti njihove upotrebe šire se s razvojem tehnologije. Upotreba dronova u dostavi predstavljena je u radu, kroz dostavu paketa, dostavu hrane i opskrbu brodova.Drones represent an innovative technology that has found its application in various fields and activities. Improvements in the technology of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) have also influenced their increasing use in the transport industry, especially in the delivery of e-commerce packages, food, medicine and other goods, supply of ships, etc. The aim of the work, in addition to the theoretical determinants of delivery and highlighting basic features of drones, indicate the use of drones in delivery. The paper describes the features of delivery technology and new forms of delivery in addition to autonomous delivery and "last mile" delivery. Special emphasis is given to the theoretical parameters of unmanned aerial vehicles. Although throughout the history of civilization, human aspiration was directed towards the creation of unmanned aerial vehicles, it was only technological development in the 20th century that enabled their creation and use. Initially in military use, drones spread to civilian use in the second half of the 20th century. The possibilities of their use expand with the development of technology. The use of drones in delivery is presented in the paper, through package delivery, food delivery and ship supply
Transport chain
Logistika, transport, vrste transporta i transportni lanac predstavljaju temu ovog završnog rada. Pojmovi transporta i transportnog lanca, usko su povezani, te predstavljaju ključne aktivnosti logistike, koja označava prijevoz dobara ili ljudi od točke A do točke B. Bez transportnog lanca ne bi mogao funkcionirati sistem proizvodnje, razmjene i raspodjele, a danas, uz svu suvremenu tehnologiju, sve aktivnosti se izvršavaju brže i efikasnije.Logistics, transport, types of transport and transport chain represent the theme of this final work. The concepts of transport and transport chain are closely related, and represent the key activities of logistics, which denotes the transportation of goods or people from point A to point B. Features of modern container and RO-RO terminals
Lakšem načinu rukovanja teretom te smanjenju troškova prijevoza određenih tereta drastično je pridonijela kontejnerizacija. Svi terminali gdje kontejner predstavlja osnovnu jedinicu tereta za odvijanje operacija nazivaju se kontejnerski terminali. Osnovne djelatnosti prilikom rada i operacija na kontejnerskom terminalu sastoje se od manipulacija s kontejnerima tijekom utovara, istovara i pretovara između različitih prijevoznih sredstva kao što su željeznica, brod, kamion ili teglenice.
Glavna značajka Ro-Ro tehnologije je teret, Ro-Ro tehnologija danas se javlja kao transport različitih vrsta tereta. The main feature of Ro-Ro technology is cargo, RO-RO technology appears as the transport of various types of cargo. The wharf for receiving ro-ro ships usually consists of a simple operational shore or coastal ramp, which depends of the design of ship ramp. The impact of globalization on maritime transport
Globalizacija je imala znatan utjecaj na pomorski promet. Pomorski promet ima globalnu ulogu pomaganja procesu globalizacije prilikom spajanja svijeta u jedinstveno tržište. Novi trendovi tržišta i spajanje najudaljenijih krajeva svijeta nisu mogući bez pomorskog prometa koja je ili nadopuna ili potpuna zamjena drugim oblicima prijevoza. Globalizacija je utjecala na povećanje kapaciteta brodova sa ciljem smanjenja troškova po jedinici tereta za brodare. Ekonomija razmjera je ono čime se vode brodari pomorskog tržišta u skladu s globalnim procesima. Također pomorski prijevoz tijekom globalizacije prelazi na efikasnije i isparljivije načine brodskog pogona. Morske luke moraju se prilagođavati sve većim brodovima pa se one razvijaju sukladno mogućnostima prometa koje mogu ostvariti te na taj način biraju strategiju svojeg poslovanja. Kontejnerizacija je odigrala globalnu ulogu u pomorskom prometu te je napravila revoluciju u svijetu pomorskog i kopnenog prometa. Njome je omogućena dostava vrata do vrata. Kontejnerski brodovi koji mogu prevoziti razne vrste tereta u velikim količinama nosioci su pomorskog prometa današnjice. A.P.-Moller-Maersk pravi je pokazatelj kako se treba nositi s globalizacijom. Konstantnim novim rješenjima i raznim akvizicijama postali su najveći kontejnerski brodar na svijetu. Seaports have to adapt to more bigger ships, so they develop according to the traffic possibilities they can realize and thus choose their business strategy. Containerization has played a global role in maritime transport and has revolutionized the world of maritime and land transport. It enables door-to-door delivery. Container ships that can transport various types of cargo in large quantities are the carriers of today's maritime traffic. A.P.-Moller-Maersk is a true indicator of how to deal with globalization. With constant new solutions and various acquisitions, they have become the largest container shipping company in the world. They adapted their business to the management of global supply chains, in which they constantly include new services
Entry into closed areas on the ship
U ovome završnom radu prikazane su opasnosti prilikom ulaska u zatvorene prostore na brodu. Opisana je atmosfera zatvorenih prostora te mjere opreza pri ulasku. Najčešće opasnosti su: nedostatak kisika, prisutnost otrovnih i/ili zapaljivih plinova. Ulazak u takav prostor može biti opasan po život. Opisan je i postupak spašavanja iz zatvorenih prostora. Nužno je provoditi redovite vježbe i vježbe spašavanja iz zatvorenih prostora, te da svi članovi spasilačkog tima znaju što se od njih očekuje. Kao primjer navedena je i nesreća na brodu Sunbeam.In this final work, the dangers when entering closed spaces on board are presented. Intelligent sensors in vehicles
Nagli razvoj automobilske industrije i tehnologije uvelike utječu na život kakav živimo danas. Primarna svrha je sigurnost u vozilima, ali uvelike ju slijedi komfor prilikom vožnje.
Rad se temelji na proučavanju i analizi osnovnih i naprednih vrsta senzora u vozilima. Svrha prvih senzora ugrađivanih u automobile bila je isključivo mehanička ispravnost, te obavijesti o kvarovima pojednih dijelova autobila. Danas smo svjedoci ubrzanog porasta tehnologije, te smo na pragu prvih automobila koji bez ljudskog utjecaja voze prometnicama. Cilj obrade teme Inteligentnih senzora u vozilu je upravo prikazivanje koliko senzori pridonose komfornijoj vožnji, ali i većoj sigurnosti tijekom upravljanja vozilom.The rapid development of the automotive industry and technology greatly affects the life we live. The main goal is safety in vehicles, but it is largely followed by comfort while driving. The work is based on the study and analysis of basic and advanced types of sensors in vehicles. The goal of the first sensors installed in cars was mechanical correctness, and notifications about malfunctions of individual parts of the car. Today, we are witnessing the rapid growth of technology, and we are at the beginning of the era of the first cars that drive on roads without human influence. The goal of processing the subject of Intelligent sensors in the vehicle is to show how much the sensors contribute to a more comfortable ride, but also to greater safety while driving the vehicle
