Requirements for the stability of passenger megaships for round trips
putnika. Prilagodljivost i otpornost industrije jasno su vidljivi u ovoj ekspanziji. Međutim, to
The mega cruise ship industry is not just recovering from the pandemic, but also surpassing the
record year of 2019. This growth is marked by the construction of larger, more luxurious ships
and a surge in passenger numbers. The industry's adaptability and resilience are evident in this
expansion. However, it also necessitates a deeper understanding of ship stability, safety, and
environmental impact. This paper delves into these topics, exploring the stability requirements
for passenger ships in both intact and damaged conditions, and the advanced stabilization
systems installed on these ships
Knowledge of the forces of wind, waves and sea currents as a condition designing seaports
Morske luke daju sigurnosti i zaštićenost, međutim uvijek postoji utjecaj vanjskih sila prilikom uplovljavanja, isplovljavanja, manevra broda prilikom priveza i odveza te njegovog boravka u luci. This paper presents meteorological (wind) and oceanographic elements (sea current and waves) which are an integral part of seafaring and essential elements for planning and designing hydrotehnical procedures in a seaport or on the open sea. Sea port provide security and protection, however, there are always the influence of external forces when arrival, departure, maneuvering the ship during bearthing and unberthing, and its stay in the port. Based on the available literature, the paper presents the calculation of natural external forces, the force of wind, sea currents and waves acting on the ship M/V Dubrovnik, which is mostly moored at St. Peter in the City Port of Split. It was concluded that wind forces have the greatest influence on the ship itself compared to the forces of sea current and waves. The force of the sea current is not significant except during periods of hurricane wind, while the force of the waves is most pronounced at the time of lebić, although its extreme occurance is frequent in this area every 10-15 years

Operational investigation in maritime
vektori, linearno programiranje, simpleks metoda, problem transporta i distribucije, problem
problema), konstrukcija modela, modelsko računanje i primjena.
telekomunikacije, financijsko planiranje, zdravstvo, pomorstvo, vojska itd. This master's thesis will cover the development and application of operations
research in maritime operations. The history of operations research dates back to the 18th
century, but its official beginning is considered to be in 1939 with the publication of Leonid
Vitalyevich Kantorovich's book on the subject. The methods of operations research
described in this thesis include vectors, linear programming, simplex method, transportation
and distribution problem, traveling salesman problem, and optimal assignment. Operations
research is a complex scientific field that applies mathematical models and optimization
methods to find optimal solution through a scientific approach. The process of operations
research can be summarized into the following steps: setting the boundaries of the system
under investigation (problem formulation), model construction, computational modeling,
and application. Operations research is applied in various fields such as manufacturing,
transportation, construction, telecommunications, financial planning, healthcare, maritime
operations, military, etc
A PROACTIVE APROACH TO MAINTENANCE AND SPARE PARTS PLANNING FOR MARINE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
The Maintenance Concept Adjustment and Design method primarily developed primarily for the maritime industry and for ships, with the aim of analysing and modelling technical systems from a maintenance point of view. The system was developed with the aim of analysing and optimizing maintenance and spare parts requirements and minimizing life cycle costs. In this study, several changes to the method are presented in order to make it more user-friendly. The first proposed change is the modification of the failure analysis method; instead of the Weibull process, the Power Law Process is introduced. The proposed change, which will simplify the failure analysis, was subjected to several suitability tests, the first being the Akaike Information Criterion test. The test showed that the Power Law Process model fits the analysed data better than the Weibull model. Next, the applicability was tested by comparing the results obtained with the Power Law Process analysis with previously published data using the Weibull method. After establishing the validity of the proposed changes, the functionality is tested on a new maintenance and spare parts optimization model, which is an extension of the model used in the Maintenance Concept Adjustment and Design method. In addition to simplifying the process, a further simplification is sought, namely the use of the brute force method to solve the optimization of maintenance and spare parts. The verification of the optimization results was carried out using Brent’s optimization method and the Limited memory Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno method with Boundaries. Both methods confirmed the optimization results. Finally, the optimization results were verified using the Weibull model for failure data, which confirmed the validity of the proposal to modify the Maintenance Concept Adjustment and Design method in the failure data analysis and optimization method segment. Furthermore, this thesis deals with an additional modification of inventory policy in the maritime industry due to current laws and regulations, which has never been applied before. By introducing a safety critical spare parts minimum, a new safety barrier is created to prevent the consequences of a spare parts shortage. This new minimum is included in the optimization model and tested to see how this change affects maintenance and spare parts management. Initially, this will lead to additional costs for the company and increase the safety of the ship. Further analysis has shown that the cost of these spare parts is easily compensated by the avoidance of costs that may arise from the lack of spare parts. The Maintenance Concept Adjustment and Design method primarily developed primarily for the maritime industry and for ships, with the aim of analysing and modelling technical systems from a maintenance point of view. Mental health stigma in the work place
Nedovoljna informiranost o mentalnim poteškoćama i stereotipi koji ih okružuju
glavni su temelj stigmatiziranja osoba s mentalnim poteškoćama u svakodnevnom životu,
pa tako i na radnom mjestu. Stigmatiziranje kolega s mentalnim poteškoćama može dovesti
do poteškoća prilikom zapošljavanja, smanjenja radne učinkovitosti, narušavanja timskog
rada i ukupne komunikacije. Glavni cilj je istražiti i analizirati problematiku stigme
mentalnog zdravlja na radnom mjestu putem istraživanja stavova radno aktivnog
stanovništva u Zagrebu i Splitu. Sama svrha rada jest provjeriti postoji li stigma prema
osobama s mentalnim poteškoćama u radnom okruženju u dva najveća grada Republike
Hrvatske.
radnom okruženju i neugodnima u socijalnim situacijama.Insufficient information about mental disabilities and the stereotypes that surround
them are the main basis for stigmatizing people with mental disabilities in everyday life,
including in the workplace. Stigmatizing colleagues with mental disabilities can lead to
difficulties in employment, reduced work efficiency, disruption of teamwork and overall
communication. The main goal is to investigate and analyze the issue of mental health stigma
in the workplace by means of researching the attitudes of the working population in Zagreb
and Split. The very purpose of the work is to check whether there is stigma towards people
with mental disabilities in the working environment in the two largest cities of the Republic
of Croatia. According to the results of the conducted research, it can be concluded that there
is still a rate of stigmatization of people with mental disabilities at the workplace in the
Republic of Croatia, as respondents consider people with mental disabilities dangerous for
people in the work environment and unpleasant in social situations
Maneuvering the ship during entry and departure from port
Maneuvering a ship during port entry and departure is a complex process. This master work describes in chronological order the stages of this process, from the preparations for arrival at port, the proven and tried-and-tested methods of docking and undocking, the use of pilots and tugboats to assist in these maneuvers, to the work with the port authorities and leaving the port. The main factors that determine the success of this maritime endeavor are the ship and its maneuverability, external forces, notably the influence of the wind and sea currents, and the human factor, which is the most decisive of all
The role of management in the quality management system
