New marine energy systems technologies
U današnje vrijeme sve je izraženiji negativan utjecaj primjene fosilnih goriva na okoliš. U cilju njegovog smanjenja IMO je usvojio propise u obliku dodatka kojim je dopunjena Međunarodna konvencija o sprječavanju onečišćenja s brodova MARPOL 1973/78. Dopune se odnose na Prilog VI kojim se regulira ispuštanja plinova s brodova štetnih za zdravlje ljudi i okoliša u atmosferu. Strogi zahtjevi u novim propisima uvjetovali su razvoj novih tehnologija kod brodskih energetskih sustava kojima se pospješuje smanjenje štetnih emisija. Određene tehnologije su već potvrdile svoju ekonomsku učinkovitost i ekološku prihvatljivost dok se pojedine i dalje razvijaju. Pod nove tehnologije podrazumijeva se uporaba plinskog goriva, hibridni porivni sustavi te obnovljivi izvori energije koji nastoje omogućiti primjenu vodika, amonijaka, energije vjetra i sunca U cilju poticanja razvoja i ocjene suvremenih tehnoloških rješenja koja doprinose poboljšavanju energetske učinkovitosti broda i unaprjeđenju zaštite okoliša, nova pravila u Prilogu VI sadrže poglavlje za utvrđivanje projektnog indeksa energetske učinkovitosti (EEDI). Ovaj indeks definira se kao omjer emisije ugljičnog dioksida (CO2) i gospodarstvenog učinka. U ovom radu je iznijet administrativni okvir koji se primjenjuje u brodarstvu, opisane već primijenjene i potvrđene tehnologije te je na primjeru jednog broda prikazan primjer izračuna projektnog indeksa energetske učinkovitosti.Nowadays, the negative impact of fossil fuels on the environment is becoming more pronounced. In order to reduce it, the IMO has adopted regulations in the form of an addendum supplementing the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships MARPOL 1973/78. The amendments concern Annex VI, which regulates the release of gases into the atmosphere from ships harmful to human health and the environment. Strict requirements in the new regulations have conditioned the development of new technologies in marine energy systems that help reduce harmful emissions. friendliness as some continue to evolve. New technologies include the use of gas fuel, hybrid propulsion systems and renewable energy sources that seek to enable the use of hydrogen, ammonia, wind and solar energy. In order to encourage the development and evaluation of modern technological solutions that contribute to improving energy efficiency and environmental protection, new rules in Annex VI contain a chapter for determining the project energy efficiency index (EEDI). This index is defined as the ratio of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to economic performance. This paper presents the administrative framework applied in shipping, the already applied and confirmed technologies are described, and an example of calculating the project energy efficiency index is presented on the example of one ship
Safety officer and crew drills on passenger ship
Cilj završnog rada je objasniti ulogu i dužnosti časnika za sigurnost na brodu te vježbe posade putničkih brodova. Putnički brod je trgovački brod čija je primarna funkcija prijevoz putnika. Časnik za sigurnost je brodski službenik koji je zadužen za područje sigurnosti na putničkom brodu. Mora redovito pregledavati sve prostore na brodu i nadzirati radne postupke posade kako bi utvrdio da ne postoje opasnost. Vježbe na brodu su bitne da bi se postigao visok stupanj učinkovitosti. Posada mora funkcionirati kao dobro utreniran tim za izvršavanje postupaka u slučaju opasnosti. Vježbom članovi posade stječu iskustvo i praktične vještine u hitnim slučajevima.The aim of the final work is to explain the role and duties of the ship security officer and the exercises of the crew of passenger ships. A passenger ship is a merchant ship whose primary function is to transport passengers. A security officer is a ship's officer in charge of the safety area on a passenger ship. He must regularly inspect all spaces on board and monitor the crew's operations to determine that there is no danger. Exercises on board are essential to achieve a high degree of efficiency. The crew must function as a well-trained team to carry out emergency procedures. Through exercise, crew members gain experience and practical skills in emergencies
Use of IOT technology in port processes
U ovom radu opisane su najsuvremenije metode, protokoli i primjene tehnologije Internet stvari u lučkim procesima. Prilikom izrade rada korištene su sljedeće znanstvene metode: metoda deskripcije, metoda klasifikacije i metoda kompilacije. Cilj diplomskog rada je objasniti na koji način se tehnologija Internet stvari primjenjuje u lučkim procesima i kako se njena primjena odražava na poslovanje luka. Promatrajući pomorsku industriju, a posebno luke, vidljivo je da je uključivanje IoT resursa u njihove procese rezultiralo pozitivnim učinkom. Primjena tehnologije Internet stvari u lukama ubrzava procese, povećava efikasnost i unaprjeđuje poslovanje.This paper describes the most modern methods, protocols and applications of IoT technology in port processes. The following scientific methods were used in the preparation of the paper: the method of description, the method of classification and the method of compilation. The aim of the thesis is to explain how the IoT technology is applied in port processes and how its application is reflected in port operations. Looking at the maritime industry, and ports in particular, it can be seen that the inclusion of IoT in their operations has resulted in a positive effect. Hydrographic survey or seabed mapping plays an important role in achieving better maritime safety, especially in coastal waters. Due to advances in survey technologies, it becomes important to choose well-suited technology for a specific area. Moreover, various technologies have various ranges of equipment and manufacturers, as well as characteristics. Therefore, in this thesis, a proposed method of a hydrographic survey, i.e., identifying the appropriate technology, has been developed. The method is based on a reduced elimination matrix, decision tree supervised learning, and multicriteria decision methods. The available technologies were: SBES (research vessel), SBES+SSS (research vessel), MBES (research vessel), MBES (research vessel)+SBES (small boat), LIDAR (UAV), SDB (satellite sensors) and they are applied as a case study of Kaštela Bay. The optimal technology for Kaštela Bay study case was MBES (research vessel) and MBES (research vessel) + SBES (small boat) with a score of 0.97. Then with a score of 0.82 follows the SDB technology. Other available alternatives have a significantly lower score. It is a small evident difference between the three alternatives SBES (research vessel), SBES+SSS (research vessel), and LIDAR, which have a WSM score in the range from 0.58 – 0.65.Rad ne sadrži sažetak na drugom jeziku
Institute of excepted perils of carrier liability under the Rotterdam rules
Odgovornost prijevoznika jedno je od središnjih pitanja u prijevozu stvari morem. Prijevoznik odgovara za izvršenje dviju osnovnih obveza koje uključuju predaju tereta na odredištu u stanju, vrsti i količini kako ga je primio, te predaju obaviti bez zakašnjenja. Pretpostavke odgovornosti prijevoznika za štete na stvarima i zakašnjenje reguliraju se prema propisima koji se primjenjuju na određeni ugovorni odnos. Izuzeti slučajevi predstavljaju specifične događaje ili okolnosti koje stvaraju pretpostavku o neodgovornosti prijevoznika, odnosno iznimke su od općih načela odgovornosti prijevoznika. Institutom izuzetih slučajeva predviđen je niz slučajeva kad prijevoznik neće odgovarati za štete nastale na stvarima. U ovom radu poseban naglasak se stavlja na izuzete slučajeve prema Rotterdamskim pravilima. Stoga je i cilj rada raščlaniti sve izuzete slučajeve s osvrtom na Rotterdamska pravila, te analizirati odgovornost prijevoznika prema njima.Liability of the carrier is one of the central issues in transporting carriage of goods by sea. The carrier is responsible for the fulfillment of two basic obligations, which include the delivery of cargo at the destination in the condition, type and quantity as received, and the delivery to be performed without delay. The presumptions of the carrier's liability for damage of the goods and delay are regulated by the regulations applicable to a particular contractual relationship. Excepted perils represent specific events or circumstances that create a presumption of carrier's irresponsibility, i.e., they are exceptions to the general principles of carrier's liability. The institute of excepted perils provides for a number of cases where the carrier will not be liable for damages of the goods. In this paper, special emphasis is placed on excepted perils under the Rotterdam Rules. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to analyze all excepted perils with reference to the Rotterdam Rules, and to analyze the liability of carrier towards them
Communication link analysis of Central Dalmatian archipelago
Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi stvarnu kvalitetu signala podatkovne mobilne veze na dvije odabrane plovidbene rute srednjodalmatinskog arhipelaga i usporediti deklarirane podatke mreže koje daju davatelji usluga sa stvarnim, izmjerenim podacima o kvaliteti signala na dvije plovidbene rute na trajektima Jadrolinije. U radu su opisane telekomunikacije kroz povijest, razvitak i operatere u RH. Odabrane plovidbene rute su Split- Stari Grad brodom m/t Juraj Dalmatinac i Trogir - Drvenik Veli brodom m/t Pelješankom. Na rutama su u reprezentativnim mjestima plovidbene rute napravljena mjerenja kvalitete signala (latencija, uzlazna i silazna brzina veze) za signal Hrvatskog telekoma i A1 Hrvatska. Postojeće stanje kvalitete signala na odabranim plovidbenim rutama zadovoljava iako postoje odstupanja od deklariranih vrijednosti koju daju davatelji usluga.The aim of this study was to determine the actual link quality of the mobile data connection on two representative navigation routes of the Central Dalmatian archipelago and to compare the declared network data provided by internet service providers with actual, measured data quality on two navigation routes on Jadrolinija ferries. The paper describes telecommunications through history, development and operators in the Republic of Croatia. Selected sailing routes are Split-Stari Grad by ferry Juraj Dalmatinac and Trogir - Drvenik Veli by ferry Peljesanka. Measurements of signal quality (latency, upling and downlink speed) for the signal of Hrvatski Telekom and A1 Hrvatska were made on the routes in representative places of the sailing route. The current state of signal quality on the selected navigation routes is satisfactory, although there are deviations from the declared values provided by internet service providers
The role and importance of cruise ports in the world.
Kruzing turizam relativno je mlada grana nautičkog turizma koja dobiva sve veći značaj. Ovakav tip turizma danas predstavlja jednu od najvažnijih i najprofitabilnijih grana turizma pa je u ovom radu pružen pregled povijesti kruzinga, njegovog razvoja te važnosti kruzing turizma. Posebni naglasak je stavljen na najvažnije svjetske kruzerske luke, kao i na podjelu i kategorizaciju različitih svjetskih kruzerskih destinacija, te najvažnijih i najatraktivnijih svjetskih regija na području kruzing turizma. Također je napravljena analiza hrvatskih kruzerskih luka, statistika vezanih za broj posjetitelja na kruzerima, kao i projekcije za perspektivu hrvatskih kruzing destinacija u budućnosti. Osim toga poseban je i osvrt na temu COVID-19 te kako je njegova pojava utjecala na kruzing turizam.Cruising tourism is a relatively young branch of nautical tourism that is gaining in importance. This type of tourism today is one of the most important and most profitable branches of tourism, so this paper provides an overview of the history of cruising, its development and the importance of cruising tourism. Special emphasis was placed on the world's most important cruise ports, as well as on the division and categorization of various world cruise destinations, and the most important and most attractive world regions in the field of cruise tourism. There is also an analysis of Croatian cruise ports, statistics related to the number of visitors on cruise ships, as well as projections for the future prospects of Croatian cruise destinations. In addition, there is a special review on the topic of COVID-19 and how its appearance affected cruise tourism
Innovations in maritime tourism
Razvoju turizma gotovo da se i ne vidi kraj. To je svakako popratio i razvoj inovativnog sadržaja na tržištu. Sve veći broj turista rado prelazi sa tradicionalnog načina putovanja na putovanja morem, različitim plovnim objektima u svrhu sporta i razonode. Sukladno tome, razvija se posebna grana turizma- pomorski turizam. U posljednjih nekoliko godina pomorski turizam, kao jedna od novijih grana turizma, zahvaljujući inovativnim i kreativnim idejama i uslugama, polako dobiva vodeću ulogu. S obzirom, da se obrađuje vrlo opširna tema kao što su inovacije u pomorskom turizmu, u ovom završnom radu, proći će se kroz najvažnije dijelove spomenute tematike kako bi se donio zaključak o promjenama u pomorskom turizmu koje su nastupile zbog razvoja inovativnog sadržaja na tržištu. Cilj ovog završnog rada je analiziranje utjecaja inovacija na pomorski turizam pa su u tom kontekstu prikazane svrha, uloga i važnost inovacija za razvoj pomorskog turizma. Zaključak ovog završnog rada su inovativne usluge pomorskog turizma kao što su charter i kruzing usluge kojima se u budućnosti predviđa veliki uspjeh.The continual development of tourism does not see an end. This was certainly accompanied by the development of innovative content in the market. An increasing number of tourists are happy to switch from the traditional way of traveling to travel by sea, various vessels for sport and leisure. Accordingly, a special branch of tourism is developing- maritime tourism. In recent years, maritime tourism, as one of the newer branches of tourism, thanks to innovative and creative ideas and services, is slowly gaining a leading role. Given that a very broad topic such as innovations in maritime tourism is addressed, in this final paper, we will go through the most important parts of this topic to conclude on the changes in maritime tourism that have occurred due to the development of innovative content in the market. The aim of this final paper is to analyze the impact of innovations on maritime tourism, and in this context the purpose, role and importance of innovations for the development of maritime tourism are presented. The conclusion of this final paper is innovative maritime tourism services such as charter and cruising services which are predicted to be a great success in the future
Jobs and qualifications in nautical tourism ports
Cilj ovog završnog rada je pružiti uvid u radna mjesta i kvalifikacije djelatnika u lukama nautičkog turizma. U menadžmentu nautičkih luka posebni izazov predstavlja formiranje odgovarajuće strukture radnih mjesta, te privlačenje i održavanje kompetentne radne snage. Stoga je osobito važno jasno definirati radna mjesta i potrebne kvalifikacije u svrhu zapošljavanja odgovarajuće radne snage. Na primjeru marine u radu se istražuje struktura radnih mjesta u lukama nautičkog turizma te njihova uloga, opis posla i potrebne kvalifikacije, a kao konkretan primjer koristit će se Marina Kaštela.The aim of the thesis is to provide an insight into job positions and qualifications of employees in nautical tourism ports. In the management of nautical ports, a special challenge is the formation of appropriate job structures, attracting and maintaining a competent workforce. It is therefore particularly important to clearly define job positions and the qualifications needed to recruit the right workforce. On the example of the marina, the thesis investigates the structure of job positions in nautical tourism ports and their role, job description and the necessary qualifications, and Marina Kaštela will be used as an example
Sustainable development of nautical tourism
Predmet istraživanja ovog rada je održivi razvoj u nautičkom turizmu koji podrazumijeva ne samo zadovoljavanje potrebe turista nautičara, već i brigu za prirodno okruženje te interese pripadajućih društvenih zajednica. To podrazumijeva očuvanje mora i morskog okoliša, podržavanje poduzetništva, zapošljavanja lokalnog stanovništva, te gospodarski razvoj uz poštivanje interesa budućih generacija. Stoga se u radu identificiraju ključna obilježja nautičkog turizma uključujući čimbenike koji utječu na njegov održivi razvoj. Nadalje, u radu se istražuju obilježja plave ekonomije i programi usmjereni na brigu o zaštiti mora i morskog okoliša.The subject of this paper is the sustainable development of nautical tourism, which implies not only meeting the needs of boaters, but also care for the natural environment and the interests of the communities. This includes preserving the sea and the marine environment, supporting entrepreneurship, employing the local population, and economic development while respecting the interests of future generations. Therefore, the paper identifies key features of nautical tourism, including factors that affect its sustainable development. Furthermore, the paper investigates the characteristics of the blue economy and programs aimed at caring for the protection of the sea and the marine environment
