U ovom radu prikazane su sve vanjske i unutarnje građevine pomorske luke koje su potrebne da bi jedna luka mogla funkcionirati i uspješno poslovati. Naime, za izgradnju luke potrebno je prije svega dobro istražiti područje gdje će luka nastati, a koje bi trebalo omogućiti uspješnu izgradnju pomorskih građevina. Čimbenici koji utječu na odluku izgradnje luke su geografski položaj, zatim hidrografski, oceanografski, geološki i meteorološki podaci te naposljetku ekonomski kriteriji. Geografski položaj je važan čimbenik jer ako se luka nalazi u blizini većih gradova i prometnica tada je njen razvitak daleko uspješniji. Prirodni čimbenici su također jako važni kako bi omogućili idealne uvijete za što lakšu i povoljniju izgradnju objekata. Cilj ovog rada je ukazati na složenost projektiranja luke odnosno ukazati koliko je važno dobro proučiti sve elemente razvoja luke kako bi na koncu taj projekt zaživio u budućnosti i pokazao rezultate.This paper presents all the external and internal structures of a seaport that are necessary for one port to be able to function and operate successfully. Namely, for the construction of the port, it is first of all necessary to thoroughly research the area where the port will be built, which should enable the successful construction of maritime structures. Factors influencing the decision to build a port are geographical location, then hydrographic, oceanographic, geological and meteorological data, and finally economic criteria. Geographical location is an important factor because if the port is located near larger cities and roads then its development is far more successful. Natural factors are also very important to provide ideal conditions for easier and more favourable construction of facilities. The aim of this paper is to point out the complexity of port design, i.e. to point out how important it is to study all elements of port development in order to finally bring this project to life in the future and show results
World ship building industry
Brodogradnja kao industrijska djelatnost je kroz povijest doživjela mnogo uspona i padova te je bila iznimno značajna za gospodarski rast kako za Hrvatsku, tako i za mnoge zemlje diljem svijeta jer je specifična djelatnost koja predstavlja spoj znanosti i umjetnosti. S vremenom se usavršila tehnologija, dokumentacija te način skiciranja i konstrukcije brodova da bi brodogradnja postala ono što je danas, jedna od najvažnijih gospodarskih industrija. Sve to je omogućila pojava novih materijala i dizajna koji su utjecali na razvoj brodogradnje. U ovom radu se dublje istražuje povijest i način razvitka ove važne gospodarske djelatnosti. Predstavljena su najveća svjetska brodogradilišta zemalja koja danas imaju najviše udjela na brodograđevnom tržištu, ali i hrvatska brodogradilišta koja su doprinosila i još uvijek doprinose ekonomskom i gospodarskom razvitku.Shipbuilding as an industrial activity had many ups and downs in its history and it was extremely important for economy growth for Croatia, but also for many other countries around the world because it is an unique activity that represents science and art in the same time. With time, technology, documentation and method of sketching and construction had progressed so shipbuilding industry could become what it is today, one of the most important industries for economy. All that has enabled the appeareance of new materials and designs which had a huge impact on shipbuilding industry. In this paper the history and way of development of this important economic industry is explored more deeply. The biggest shipyards of countries which today have the most market share are also processed, as well as croatian shipyards which were and still are contributing to the economic development
Influence of accelerations on performance of high speed craft
U završnom radu obrađena je tema utjecaja inercijskih sila na strukturu i posadu brzih brodica. Za razliku od gibanja velikih brodova na valovitom moru, granična stanja brzih brodica tipično karakterizira udaranje uslijed kretanja relativno velikom brzinom prilikom čega je brodica izložena velikim kratkotrajnim akceleracijama. Dan je pregled razvoja brzih brodica i aktualni standardi, pregled brodograđevnih materijala za brze brodice, opis rizika izazivanja ozljeda kod posade te oprema kojom se takav rizik umanjuje. Opisan je i način provođenja mjerenja akceleracija na brodici i posadi u plovidbi te prikazan način obrade mjerenih podataka.The undergraduate thesis gives an overview of the influence of inertial forces on hull structure and crew of high-speed craft. Unlike the movement of large ships in rough seas, the operability limit state of high-speed craft is typically determined by impacts due to slamming during sailing at relatively high speeds during which the boat is exposed to large short-term accelerations. An overview of high-speed craft development and current standards is given along with an overview of typical high-speed craft building materials, a consideration of crew injury risk and the equipment available to mitigate it. The method for acceleration measurements during navigation, for both hull structure and crew, is described as well as the method for presenting such measured data
Organizational structure of liner shipping company
Diplomski rad predstavlja znanstvenu studiju o organizacijskim strukturama u linijskom brodarstvu. Linijsko brodarstvo je vrsta brodarstva koju karakterizira stalna i sigurna trgovinska razmjena bez koje se ni sama trgovina nebi mogla zamisliti. Poduzetnička ulaganja, a samim time i izbor organizacijske strukture linijskog brodarstva, su osnova za postizanje mogućeg uspjeha uz promijenjivo i dinamično stanje na tržištu čija promjena ovisi o gospodarskim i negospodarskim okolnostima. Stoga, organizacijska struktura upravljanja u linijskom brodarstvu mora sadržavati određeni koncept razvoja i ciljeva u pomorskoj industriji uz neprekidna prilagođavanja tržištu. Organizacijska struktura osigurava koordinaciju djelatnosti i aktivnosti poduzeća, provjeru i nadzor akcija njenih članova.The thesis is a scientific study of organizational structures in liner shipping. Liner shipping is a type of shipping characterized by a constant and secure trade exchange without which even trade itself could not be imagined. Entrepreneurial investments, and thus the choice of organizational structures of liner shipping, are the basis for achieving possible success with a changed and dynamic market situation whose change depends on economic and non-economic circumstances. Therefore, the organizational management structure in liner shipping must contain a certain concept of development and goals in the maritime industry with continuous market adjustment. The organizational structure ensures the coordination of activities and activities of the company, verification and supervision of the actions of its members
Ship and cargo traffic analysis in European sea ports
Tema ovog rada vezana je uz pomorski promet, točnije uz analiziranje robe i brodova koji prođu kroz luke, s naglaskom na luke u Europi. Pomorski promet nije samo prijevoz robe i ljudi, to je djelatnost koja obuhvaća mnogo više, od pakiranja i kontroliranja ukrcaja robe na brod, preko opskrbe broda i osiguravanja svega da sigurno pristigne u luku, do iskrcaja robe i ljudi iz broda. U to se još mogu ubrojiti i djelatnosti koje se odvijaju u morskim lukama, općenito u brodarstvu te djelatnosti koje obavljaju agenti u pomorstvu. Svrha ovog rada je uz pomoć tablica i dijagrama opisati i analizirati gustoću prometa brodova i robe u svjetskim, europskim i hrvatskim morskim lukama te ustanoviti trendove. Na kraju je analiziran utjecaj pandemije COVID-19 na pomorski promet u svijetu.The topic of this paper is related to maritime transport, more precisely to the analysis of goods and ships passing through ports, with an emphasis on ports in Europe. Maritime transport is not just the transport of goods and people, it´s an activity that encompasses much more, from packing and controlling the loading of goods on board, through supplying the ship and ensuring everything arrives safely in port, to unloading goods and people from the ship. This can also include activities that take place in seaports, in general in shipping and activities performed by agents in the sea. The purpose of this paper is to use tables and diagrams to describe and analyze the traffic density of ships and goods in world, European and Croatian seaports and to establish trends. Finally, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global maritime traffic was analyzed
Insured damages in maritime insurance
Pomorsko osiguranje pravni je posao kojim se osiguravaju sve vrste plovnih objekata, roba koja se prevozi, razne odgovornosti brodara i svi ostali interesi koji su izravno izloženi rizicima u plovidbi ili u vezi s plovidbom na moru. U hrvatskom pravnom sustavu, obvezno pravni odnos iz ugovora o pomorskom osiguranju reguliran je Pomorskim zakonikom. Rizici u pomorskom transportu sve su veći, stoga je stvari i plovila u pomorskom prometu nužno zaštititi pomorskim osiguranjem. Zbog dodatne zaštite nastala su i klupska osiguranja, specijalizirana u pružanju pokrića za rizike odgovornosti vlasnika broda prema trećim osobama te na taj način vlasnik broda posvećuje dodatnu pažnju kako bi se prevenirao nastanak mogućih šteta, odnosno postala su dodatni način disperzije rizika na strani osiguratelja. Ugovorne stranke u pomorskom osiguranju štite se ugovorom o pomorskom osiguranju i na taj način ostvaruje se pravna sigurnost u poslovanju u pomorstvu.Maritime insurance is a legal business that insures all types of vessels, goods transported, various responsibilities of shipowners and all other interests that are directly exposed to risks in navigation or in connection with navigation at sea. In the Croatian legal system, the obligatory legal relationship from a maritime insurance contract is regulated by the Maritime Law. Risks in maritime transport are increasing, so it is necessary to protect maritime transport with insurance. Due to additional protection, club insurances were created, specializing in providing coverage for the risks of shipowners' liability to third parties, and in this way the shipowner pays additional attention to prevent possible damages, if they have become an additional way of dispersing risks on the part of insurers. The contracting parties in maritime insurance are protected by a maritime insurance contract and in that way legal security is achieved in maritime business
Maritime traffic liners in the Republic of Croatia
Pomorski promet glasi za najprihvatljiviji i najjeftiniji tip prijevoza preko kojeg se preveze preko 80% čitave robe na svijetu. Kao jedna od grana pomorskog prometa navodi se linijsko putničko brodarstvo koje je od iznimne važnosti za Republiku Hrvatsku zbog priljeva gostiju iz raznih zemalja za vrijeme turističke sezone koji dolaze posjetiti naše mnogobrojne otoke, a sam turizam je glavna gospodarska djelatnost Hrvatske. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati važnost linijskog putničkog prijevoza u Hrvatskoj te također i njegov razvoj, podjelu i svrhu. Veliku važnost u linijskom putničkom brodarstvu, ali i u samom brodarstvu imaju luke koje moraju biti razvijene i sposobne zadovoljiti zahtjeve koji se pred njih stavljaju stoga su u radu analizirane sve najvažnije i najrazvijenije luke Republike Hrvatske. U radu će se opisati i utjecaj novonastale situacije sa Covid – 19 virusom koja se odrazila na čitav svijet pa tako i na Republiku Hrvatsku sa posebnim osvrtom na pad u prometu putnika i prispjelih brodova u RH. Također će se dobiti uvid u utjecaj Covid – 19 pandemije na promet robe u pet najvažnijih luka Republike Hrvatske. Kroz analizu podataka dobiva se zaključak da je pandemija negativno utjecala na broj prispjelih brodova i na promet putnika dok je na promet robe utjecala pozitivno ili neznatno negativno tj. gotovo beznačajno.Maritime transport is the most acceptable and cheapest type of transport through which over 80% of all goods in the world are transported. One of the branches of maritime transport is liner passenger shipping, which is extremely important for the Republic of Croatia due to the influx of guests from various countries during the tourist season who come to visit our many islands, and tourism is the main economic activity of Croatia. The aim of this paper is to show the importance of liner passenger shipping in Croatia and also its development, division and purpose. Ports that must be developed and able to meet the requirements placed on them are of great importance in liner passenger shipping, but also in shipping itself, so all the most important and most developed ports of the Republic of Croatia are analyzed in this paper. The paper will also describe the impact of the new situation with the Covid - 19 virus, which has affected the whole world, including the Republic of Croatia, with special reference to the decline in the transport of passengers and in the number of ships arrived in the Republic of Croatia. You will also get an insight into the impact of the Covid - 19 pandemic on the trade of goods in the five most important ports of the Republic of Croatia. Through the analysis of the data, it is concluded that the pandemic had a negative impact on the number of ships arrived and on transport of passengers, while on the transport of goods it had a positive or insignificant influence
Freight insurance
Osiguranje vozarina, uz osiguranje brodova i osiguranje robe, predstavlja pomorsko osiguranje. Vozarina je naknada koju je korisnik prijevoza dužan platiti prijevozniku za obavljeni prijevoz ili za uporabu broda radi izvršenja nekog prijevoza. Pod osiguranjem vozarina podrazumijeva se ugovor o osiguranju kojim se osigurava interes koji jedna osoba ima u odnosu na vozarinu, a ono je od temeljnog značaja za pomorsko prijevoznu uslugu. Visine vozarina osnovni su pokazatelj pozitivnih i negativnih kretanja na pomorskom tržištu, dakle visine vozarina ovise o ponudi i potražnji.Freight insurance, with ship insurance and goods insurance, represents maritime insurance. Fright is a fee which a transport user is obliged to pay to the carrier for done work. Under the freight insurance implies contract on insurance which ensures interes which one person has in regards to the fright, and that is of fundamental inportance for maritime transport service. Freight rates are a basic indicator of positive and negative trends in the maritime market, therefore freight rates depend on supply and demand
Analysis of Coast radio stations networks in Republic of Croatia
Pored posredovanja u održavanju radijskih veza obalne radijske postaje služe i općem komuniciranju u pomorskom radio prometu, sukladno Konvenciji o zaštiti ljudskih života na moru. Radi poboljšanja sigurnosti plovidbe i zaštite ljudskog života na moru određuje se služba bdjenja, koju obavljaju obalne radijske postaje i odgovarajuće opremljena plovila.In addition to mediating in the maintenance of radio communications, coastal radio stations also serve in general communication in maritime radio traffic, under regulations of SOLAS convention (Safety of Life at Sea). In order to improve the safety of navigation and the protection of human life at sea, a vigil service is appointed. It is performed by coastal radio stations and appropriately equipped vessels
Control of a three phase induction motor using variable frequency drive
Cilj ovog rada je ispitati mogućnosti upravljanja brzinom vrtnje trofaznih asinkronih električnih motora pomoću frekvencijskog pretvarača temeljem mjerenja provedenih u laboratoriju. Potrebe za kontinuiranim upravljanjem brzinom vrtnje električnih motora su česte, kako u pomorstvu, na brodovima, tako i u drugim granama industrije. Na brodovima su najčešće u primjeni trofazni električni motori, asinkronog tipa, a njihovom se brzinom vrtnje danas najčešće upravlja pomoću frekvencijskih pretvarača. Stoga su u ovom radu opisani trofazni asinkroni električni motori, frekvencijski pretvarači te je u konačnici predstavljena i problematika upravljanja elektromotorima pomoću frekvencijskih pretvarača. Učinkovitost frekvencijskog pretvarača u upravljanju brzinom vrtnje trofaznog asinkronog električnog motora je ispitana u laboratoriju, na maketi čije su sve komponente predstavljene u ovom radu, a temeljem čega je donesen zaključak rada.This paper deals with the possibilities of speed control of three-phase asynchronous electric motors using a frequency converter based on measurements conducted in the laboratory. The need for continuous speed control of electric motors is common, both in the maritime industry, on ships, and in other branches of industry. Three - phase electric motors, of the asynchronous type, are most often used on ships, and their speed is most often controlled by frequency converters. Therefore, this paper describes three-phase asynchronous electric motors, frequency converters, and finally presents the problem of controlling electric motors using frequency converters. The efficiency of the frequency converter in the speed control of a three-phase asynchronous electric motor was tested in the laboratory, on a model whose components are presented in this paper, and on the basis of which the conclusion of the work was made
