    Analyse and specific of inert plant and inert gas itself on various types of tanker

    Tri uvjeta su potrebna da bi vatra ili eksplozija bila moguća. Ta tri uvjeta su goriva tvar, toplina i odgovarajući udio kisika. Ti uvjeti poznati su kao „trokut vatre“. Kao što trokut nije trokut bez jedne od svoje tri stranice, tako vatra i eksplozija ne mogu nastati ako nisu sva tri uvjeta ispunjena. Uvođenjem inertnog plina u brodski sustav eliminiramo mogućnost vatre uklanjanjem određenog udjela kisika. Inertni plin može se definirati kao plin koji nema dovoljno kisika da bi podržavao gorenje. Ovaj rad bavi se upravo inertnim plinom. Objasnit ćemo kako sustav inertnog plina funkcionira na brodu, njegovu eksploataciju i sve elemente sustava. Posebna pažnja je posvećena elementima sustava i opisu rukovanja inertnim plinom pri radnim operacijama na tankerima.Three conditions must be fulfilled so that fire or explosion can occure. Those three conditions are fuel, heat and sufficient amount of oxygen. These conditions are known as „fire triangle“. As the triangle is not triangle without one of its three sides, neither is fire or explosion possible if all three conditions are not fulfilled. Entering of inert gas in the system eliminates possibility of fire by removing of certain amount of oxygen. Inert gas can be defined as gas which does not have enough oxygen to support burning. This paper deals right with inert gas. We will explain how system of inert gas works on ship, his exploatation and all elements of the system. Special attention is paid to elements of the system and to description of inert gas handling operations on tankers

    Operacije traganja i spašavanja na moru su vrlo složene i zahtijevaju koordinaciju i suradnju više subjekata na moru. Ovisno o opsegu u te operacije mogu biti uključene obalne države, njihove službe i jedinice traganja, te trgovački brodovi i zrakoplovi. Na razini države temeljna operativna jedinica koja provodi traganje i spašavanje je pomorska središnjica za koordinaciju traganja i spašavanja (eng. Maritime Rescue Coordination Center, MRCC). Od MRCC-a se zahtijeva 24-satna dostupnost, opremljenost pouzdanim sredstvima za komunikaciju, posjedovanje opreme za plotiranje, kao i sve službene publikacije. Za vođenje operativnog dijela sustava traganja i spašavanja (eng. Search and Rescue, SAR) zadužen je koordinator aktivnosti traganja i spašavanja (eng. SAR Mission Coordinator, SMC). Dužnosti koordinatora su: koordiniranje SAR jedinica, izrada plana traganja i vođenje provedbe istog. Planiranje traganja uključuje procjenu situacije, izračun datuma traganja, raspodjelu resursa, te izradu obrazaca traganja. U ovom radu se analiziraju planiranje i provedba traganja i spašavanja na moru.Search and rescue operations at sea are very complex and require the coordination and cooperation of several entities at sea. Depending on the scope, coastal states, their services and search units, merchant ships and aircraft may be involved in these operations. At the state level, the basic operational unit conducting search and rescue is the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC). The MRCC is required to be available 24 hours a day, to be equipped with reliable means of communication, to have plotting equipment and all official publications. The Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator (SMC) is in charge of managing the operational part of the Search and Rescue (SAR) system. The duties of the coordinator are: coordinating the SAR units, developing a search plan and leading the implementation. Search planning involves assessing the situation, calculating the search date, allocating resources, and creating search patterns.     Cilj ovog završnog rada je pružiti uvid i objasniti plovidbu i manevriranje brodom u otežanima uvjetima. Manevriranje brodom se može opisati kao vještina upravljanja brodom u raznim situacijama, a uspješnost njegova izvođenja ovisi o više čimbenika. Razumijevanje postupka manevriranja iznimno je važno kako za pomorca tako i za projektiranje broda. Budući da brod mora izdržati putovanja po različitim uvjetima, važno je da obilježja broda tijekom svakodnevnih slučajeva plovidbe ne budu ugrožene. Manevriranje u otežanim uvjetima odnosi se na sva područja opasna za plovidbu kao i na plovidbu u teškim vremenskim uvjetima koja je bila predmet istraživanja u radu.The thesis aims to provide insight and explain navigation and maneuvering of the vessel in heavy conditions. Maneuvering of the vessel can be defined as the skill of managing a ship in a variety of situations, and the success of the maneuver depends on several factors. Understanding the maneuvering process is extremely important for both the seafarer and the ship’s designers. Since the ship must withstand voyages under heavy conditions, it is important that the performance of the ship during everyday sailing cases is not compromised. Maneuvering in heavy conditions applies to all areas dangerous for navigation as well as to navigation in heavy weather conditions which was the subject of research in the thesis

    Predmet ovog rada je pobliže predstaviti povezanost i utjecaj matematike na brodove te prikazati širi pogled u principe kojima matematika utječe na funkcioniranje brodova, bilo da se radi o direktnom utjecaju ili obrazovanju, kao i njihov razvoj kako kroz povijest, tako i sada. Od samih početaka postoji veza između matematičkih znanosti, konstruiranja brodova, navigacije te njene primjene. Počevši od izgradnje prvih brodova, do korištenja trigonometrije i matematičkih osnova prilikom navigacije, matematika se prilagođavala i razvijala te je oblikovala pomorstvo kakvo danas poznajemo. U ovom završnom radu promatrat će se matematika kao znanost, njena primjena u izgradnji i razvoju brodova, potom primjena u navigaciji te na koji način matematika pomoću svoje implementacije s elektroničkim uređajima i integriranim navigacijskim sustavima vodi brodove i pomaže u svakodnevnom radu pomorca.The subject of this thesis is to present in more detail connection between mathematics and ships and to present a boarder view of the principles by which mathematics affects the the functioning of ships, whether by direct impact or education, and their development throught history and now. From the very beggining, there has been dependance between mathematical laws, construction of vessels and its application. Starting with the construction of the first ships, using trigonometry and mathematical foundations in navigation, mathematics adapted, developed and shaped seafaring as we know it today. In this paper, mathematics will be observed as science, its usage in shipbuilding and development of ships, then its application in navigation and how mathematics through its implementation with electronic devices and navigation systems guides ships and helps in the daily work of seafarers

    U ovom završnom radu obrađene su teme Automatic Identification System - AIS, Voice Data Recorder - VDR i The Long Range Identification and Tracking - LRIT. Ovi su uređaji sastavni dio brodskog integriranog navigacijskog sustava. AIS kao primopredajni uređaj omogućuje razmjenu identifikacijskih podataka, položaj broda, kursa i brzinu između svih tipova brodova koji se nalaze u njihovoj blizini te ima značajnu ulogu u poboljšanju sigurnosti kod vođenja navigacije. VDR kao sigurnosni sustav snima i na siguran način pohranjuje podatke o radu svih navigacijskih uređaja, alarma i senzora uključenih u plovidbu broda, poziciji broda i načinu upravljanja brodom u svrhu utvrđivanja uzroka pomorske havarije. Svrha LRIT uređaja je pružiti globalni sustav za identifikaciju i praćenje brodova dogog dometa. Osim što aktivno pruža informacije o identitetu i trenutnoj lokaciji u vremenu također ima korist u smislu pomorske sigurnosti odnosno u pomorskom traganju i spašavanju te zaštiti morskog okoliša.The topics had been covered in this final work are Automatic Identification System – AIS, Voice Data Recorder – VDR and The Long Range Identification and Tracking – LRIT. These systems are integral part of the ship’s integrated navigational system. The AIS transponder allows the exchange of identification data, the position of the ship, course and speed between all types of ships in their vicinity and has significant role in improving safety when conducting navigation. VDR as a safety system records and safely stores data on the operation of all navigation devices, alarms and sensors involved in the navigation, position of the ship and the way of managing the ship in order to determine the cause of the maritime accident. The purpose of the LRIT device is to provide a global ship long range identification and tracking system. Exept that actively provides information on identity and current location in the time, it also benefits in terms of maritime safety or maritime search and rescue to protect the marine environment

    U radu je temperatura definirana kao stupanj zagrijanosti nekog tijela. Mjerenje te iste temperature jedan je, vjerojatno, od najstarijih postupaka koje je čovjek izumio. Postoje razne metode i instrumenti za mjerenje temperature i vrlo je važno odabrati pravi instrument za određenu svrhu, a u radu su opisana dva instrumenta i njihova načela rada. U prvom dijelu rada opisani su osnovni zakoni termodinamike i termografije i jedan od opisanih mjernih instrumenata, a to je termovizijska kamera kao sastavni dio termografije. Drugi dio sadrži princip rada i osnove osjetnika, vrste termootpornika i njihovog predstavnika Pt-100. Treći dio čine sama mjerenja, te opisi provedbe istih. Također su opisani mjereni uzorci i njihovi parametri. Cilj rada je usporediti mjerenja ta dva instrumenta pri istim okolnim uvjetima i dokazati za koju svrhu je najbolje upotrijebiti svaki od njih.In the paper, temperature is defined as the degree of warming of a body. Measuring that same temperature is probably one of the oldest methods invented by man. There are various methods and instruments for measuring temperature and it is very important to choose the right instrument for a particular purpose, and the paper describes two instruments and their principles of operation. The first part of the paper describes the basic laws of thermodynamics and thermography and one of the described measuring instruments, which is a thermal imaging camera as an integral part of thermography. The second part contains the principle of operation and the basis of sensitivity, types of thermoresistors and their representatives Pt-100. The third part consists of the measurements themselves, and their descriptions . The measured samples and their parameters are also described. The aim of this paper is to compare the measurements of these two instruments under the same environmental conditions and to prove for what purpose it is best to use each of them

    Sezonalnost je pojam koji se vrlo često koristi u opisu ponašanja u industriji kružnih putovanja, iako značajke tog pojma nisu potpuno ni jasno definirane. Ovaj rad prikazuje analizu i detaljno utvrđivanje obrasca sezonskog ponašanja brodova za kružna putovanja na istočnoj obali Jadranskog mora. Analiza je napravljena promatrajući aktivnost dolazaka brodova za kružna putovanja u tri najveće luke na istočnoj obali Jadranskog mora tijekom 2017. i 2018. godine, te uspoređujući dobivene podatke sa sezonskim obrascem na Mediteranu. Dvije dodatne analize sezonskog ponašanja brodova za kružna putovanja su prvi puta prikazane, jedna s aspekta prosječnog vremena boravka brodova u luci i druga analizirajući prosječne duljine broda u luci tijekom godine. Uz to, analizirano je sezonsko ponašanje različitih duljina brodova kako bi se što točnije definirale sezonske karakteristike na istočnoj obali Jadranskog mora.Seasonality is a term very often used to describe behaviour in the cruise industry, although the features of this term are not completely nor clearly defined. This paper presents an analysis and detailed determination of the pattern of seasonal behaviour of cruise ships on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The analysis is made by observing the activity of cruise ship arrivals in the three largest ports on the eastern Adriatic coast during 2017 and 2018, and comparing the obtained data with the seasonal pattern in the Mediterranean. Two additional analyses of the seasonal behaviour of cruise ships are presented for the first time, one from the aspect of the average time of ships in port and the other analysing the average lengths of ships in port during the year. In addition, the seasonal behaviour of different ship lengths was analysed in order to define as accurately as possible the seasonal characteristics on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea

Pomorstvo kao industrija je vrlo podložno utjecaju globalnih kriza u koje se može svrstati i aktualna pandemija COVID-19. Sukladno tome, u radu je provedeno istraživanje stavova i mišljenja pomoraca o utjecaju pandemije COVID-19 na referentnom uzorku ciljne populacije u Hrvatskoj. Rezultati navedenog istraživanja pokazuju da je pandemija COVID-19 značajno utjecala na pomorsku industriju i pomorske kadrove.The subject of research of this paper is influence of the COVID-19 in the maritime industry and on the seafarers. Maritime as an industry itself is very susceptible to global catastrophes, which is evident throughout history. Accordingly, a survey of seafarers' attitudes and opinions on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the reference sample of the target population in Croatia was conducted. The results of this study show that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected the maritime industry and maritime personnel

    Rad nudi prikaz i objašnjenje funkcioniranja sigurnosne zaštite brodova, brodskih poduzeća i morskih luka koja je određena međunarodnim pravilima, te općeniti utjecaj zahtjeva kvalitete i ISO 9000 standarda na uspješnost poslovanja i na brodarstvo. U radu su analizirane važne konvencije i sigurnosni kodeksi u kojima su navedene dužnosti i odgovornosti glavnih subjekata koji utječu na sigurnosni sustav broda i okoliša, kao i sustavi i alati za upravljanje kvalitetom usluga i održavanje tržišne konkurentnosti. Također, detaljno je objašnjen ISM kodeks i ostali zahtjevi sigurnosti i zaštite okoliša podijeljeni na zahtjeve brodarstva, brodogradnje i luka, te utjecaj sustava i primjena alata za upravljanje kvalitetom usluga i djelatnosti.This paper offers an overview and explanation of the functioning of the security protection of ships, shipping companies and seaports, which is determined by international rules, and the general impact of quality requirements and ISO 9000 standards for business performance in shipping. The paper analyzes important conventions and safety codes which set out the duties and responsibilities of the main characters affecting the ships and environmental safety system, as well as systems and tools for managing the quality of service and maintaining market competitiveness. Also, the ISM Code and other safety and environmental requirements divided into the requirements of shipping, shipbuilding and ports, also the impact of the system and application of quality of management services are explained in details

    U radu se analizira pravni status ratnog broda u okviru pomorskog prava i međunarodnog prava mora. Prema Pomorskom zakoniku hrvatski ratni brod jest plovni objekt, uključujući podmornicu, koji je pod zapovjedništvom pripadnika Oružanih snaga Republike Hrvatske, a čija je posada vojna, odnosno podvrgnuta vojnoj disciplini i koji je dužan isticati vanjske znakove raspoznavanja ratnih brodova hrvatske državne pripadnosti kad god je potrebno da svoje svojstvo učini poznatim, a strani je ratni brod plovni objekt, uključujući podmornicu, koji ima stranu državnu pripadnost, pripada ratnoj mornarici, nosi vanjske znakove raspoznavanja ratnoga plovnog objekta i njegove državne pripadnosti, nalazi se pod zapovjedništvom vojne osobe i ima vojnu posadu. Pravni položaj ratnoga broda definira se s obzirom na plovidbu ratnoga broda morskim prostorima u mirnodopskim uvjetima i to u unutarnjim morskim vodama, teritorijalnom moru i arhipelaškim vodama te međunarodnim tjesnacima i gospodarskom pojasu. U radu se, također, analiziraju propisi vezani za sudjelovanje ratnoga broda u oružanim sukobima. Posebno se objašnjava pravni položaj potopljenoga ratnog broda.The thesis analyzes the legal status of a warship within the framework of maritime law and international maritime law. According to the Maritime Code, a Croatian warship is a vessel, including a submarine, which is under the command of members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, whose crew is military, i.e., subjected to military discipline and which is obliged to display external insignia of Croatian warships whenever it is necessary to make its property known, while a foreign warship is a seacraft, including a submarine, which has a foreign nationality, belongs to the navy, bears the external insignia of a naval craft and its nationality, is under the command of military personnel and has a military crew. The legal position of a warship is defined regarding the navigation of a warship in sea areas in peacetime conditions, in inland waters, territorial sea, archipelagic waters, international straits and exclusive economic zone. The thesis also analyzes the regulations related to the participation of a warship in armed conflicts. The legal position of the sunken warship is especially explained
