    Plovidba brodom u području leda i ledenih santi jedna je od najzahtjevnijih plovidbi. Ona zahtjeva posebnu izvedbu brodova, razna pravila i restrikcije, pripremu te spremnost posade. Vrlo je bitno poznavati neka osnovna svojstva i vrste leda na moru. Najvažniji dokument koji je donesen o ovom tipu plovidbe jest Kodeks o plovidbi polarnim područjima koji sadrži sve bitne upute o pripremi broda i posade. Ovaj rad predstavlja plovidbu polarnim područjima, kratku povijest i najnovije statističke podatke, kodeks o plovidbi polarnim područjima, općenite podatke o ovim područjima te opremu potrebnu brodovima da bi uspješno plovili u području s ledom i ledenim santama.Sea navigation around ice and icebergs is one of the most demanding types of navigation. It requires an exceptional design of ships, various rules and restrictions, preparation, and great readiness of the crew. It is also especially important to know some basic properties of ice and types of ice at sea. The most important document that was adopted on this type of navigation is the Polar Code, which contains all the essential instructions on the preparation of the ship and the crew. This paper presents navigation in the polar regions, a brief history and the latest statistical data, the Polar Code, general information about these regions and the equipment needed by ships to successfully navigate areas with ice and icebergs

    Sredstva za spašavanje su jedni od najvažnijih uređaja u sklopu sustava sigurnosti i zaštite života na moru. Ta su se sredstva razvijala tijekom vremena proporcionalno razvoju tehnologije. Na žalost treba spomenuti da su na njihov razvoj utjecale i pomorske nezgode. Danas su ta sredstva standardizirana u skladu s međunarodnim propisima. Rukovanje sredstvima za spašavanje predstavlja vrlo zahtjevne radnje koje od članova posade zahtijevaju odgovarajuće znanje, vještine i sposobnosti. U ovome se radu analiziraju operativni i tehnički zahtjevi te uređaji i načini rukovanja sredstvima za spašavanje.Rescue equipment is one of the most important means in the field of safety and protection of life at sea. These means have evolved over time in proportion to the development of technology. Unfortunately, it should be mentioned that their development has also been influenced by accidents at sea. Today, these equipments are standardized according to the international regulations. Handling of rescue equipment is a very demanding task that requires adequate knowledge, skills and abilities from crew members.     Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje primjenu termalnih kamera u suvremenom svijetu. Cilj rada je pružiti sveobuhvatan pregled termalnih kamera, njihovih karakteristika, vrsta i primjene. U radu se analiziraju osnovni principi rada termalnih kamera, njihove tehničke karakteristike i mogućnosti snimanja toplinskih uzoraka. Kroz pregled dostupnih vrsta termalnih kamera, istražuju se njihove specifične značajke i primjene u različitim područjima. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na primjenu termalnih kamera u vojsci, potrazi i spašavanju, industriji, medicini te građevinskoj industriji. Na primjeru snimanja termalnom kamerom na Pomorskom fakultetu, analiziraju se prednosti i izazovi korištenja termalnih kamera u praksi. Također, razmatraju se potencijalne buduće primjene termalnih kamera i njihov utjecaj na različite industrije.This master's thesis explores the application of thermal cameras in the modern world. The study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of thermal cameras, their characteristics, types, and applications. The basic principles of thermal camera operation, their technical specifications, and the possibilities of capturing thermal patterns are analyzed. Reviewing the available thermal camera types, their specific features and applications in various fields are explored. Particular emphasis is placed on using thermal thermal cameras in the military, search and rescue operations, industry, medicine, and the construction industry. Finally, thermal camera application has been shown using the thermal camera at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, and the advantages and challenges in practice are analyzed. Additionally, potential future applications of thermal cameras and their impact on different industries are considered

    Predmet ovog završnog rada je borba protiv stigme. Svrha rada je pojasniti pojmove stigma, predrasude i diskriminacija te koja je njihova međusobna povezanost. Cilj rada je pobliže prikazati kako se razvojem društva mijenjalo mišljenje o stigmi i stigmatizaciji te po čemu je posebna stigma psihičkih poremećaja. Prikazane su metode u borbi protiv stigme, koja je uloga edukacije za očuvanje mentalnog zdravlja te kako se Europska unija bori protiv stigme. Poseban naglasak je stavljen na pomorstvo gdje će se prikazati istraživanje International Transport Workers' Federation Seafarers' Trust o mentalnom zdravlju pomoraca. Borba protiv stigme mentalnih poremećaja u pomorstvu može uspostaviti prikladno liječenje pozadinskih zdravstvenih stanja pomoraca te stvoriti radno okruženje u kojem se pomorci osjećaju ugodnije.The subject of this final work is the fight against stigma. The purpose of the paper is to clarify the concepts of stigma, prejudice and discrimination and their interrelationship. The aim of the work is to show more closely how the opinion about stigma and stigmatization changed with the development of society and what makes the stigma of mental disorders special. The paper presents the methods in the fight against stigma, the role of education in preserving mental health and how the European Union fights against stigma. Special emphasis is placed on seafaring where research by the International Transport Workers' Federation Seafarers' Trust on the mental health of seafarers will be presented. Combating the stigma of mental disorders in seafaring can establish appropriate treatment for seafarers' underlying health conditions and create a work environment in which seafarers feel more comfortable

    Navigacional integrated systems and dynamic positioning systems

    Cilj ovog završnog rada je pružiti uvid u analizu integriranih navigacijskih sustava i sustava dinamičkog pozicioniranja. Integrirani navigacijski sustavi na inteligentan način kombiniraju, povezuju i upravljaju sa senzorskim podacima, rutama, kartama i sl. Stoga, može se reći da je njihova glavna značajka integracija brodske opreme i senzora te interpretacija i prezentacija podataka preko navigacijskih alata. Na primjeru Synapsis NX navigacijskog sustava pokazane su osnovne funkcionalnosti i komponente sustava. Sustavi dinamičkog pozicioniranja koriste se za automatsku kontrolu pozicije i smjera broda isključivo pomoću aktivnog potiska kako bi brod ostao na fiksnoj poziciji, za precizno manevriranje i praćenje te za druge potrebe. Svoju prvu upotrebu ovaj sustav pronašao je u naftnoj i plinskoj industriji, a danas su aktivnosti koje se izvode tim sustavima mnogo veće. Na primjeru Wärtsilä sustava dinamičkog pozicioniranja analiziran je jedan tipičan primjer sustava za brodove klase 2 te suvremena radarska i laserska tehnologija koja se danas koristi u sustavima dinamičkog pozicioniranja.The aim of this thesis was to provide an insight into the analysis of the two systems integration navigational and dynamic positioning system. Integrated navigation systems intelligently combine, connect and manage sensor data, routes, nautical charts, etc. Therefore, it can be said that their main feature is the integration of ship equipment and sensors and the interpretation and presentation of data through navigation tools. The basic functionalities and components of the system are shown on the example of the Synapsis NX navigation system. Dynamic positioning systems are used to automatically control a ship's position and heading using only active thrust to keep the ship in a fixed position, for precise maneuvering and tracking and for other purposes. This system found its first use in the oil and gas industry, and today the activities performed with these systems are much wider. On the example of the Wärtsilä dynamic positioning system, a typical example for class 2 ships was analyzed and the modern laser and radar technology used today in dynamic positioning systems

    U ovom diplomskom radu provodi se primjena AHP metode u procesu donošenja odluka pri nadzoru sigurnosti plovidbe u Republici Hrvatskoj. Shodno zadanoj temi, proučava se kako AHP metoda može pomoći u evaluaciji i odabiru različitih sredstava za funkciju nadzora sigurnosti plovidbe na moru te njihovu učinkovitost obzirom na postavljene kriterije. Cilj istraživanja je ispitati efikasnost i učinkovitost postojećih sredstava za traganje i spašavanje te vrjednovati iste koristeći fundamentalnu ljestvicu. Provedbom anketnog upitnika skupini dionika, izvršena je analiza stavova ekspertne skupine iz područja sigurnosti plovidbe na osnovu kojih je korišten Analitičko hijerarhijski proces. Metodom višekriterijske analize AHP izvršeno je određivanje prioriteta te rangiranje jasno postavljenih kriterija i alternativa. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da je kriterij pouzdanost u različitim vremenskim uvjetima optimalan kriterij za odabir jedinice za nadzor sigurnosti plovidbe, dok se obzirom na odabrani kriterij ističe funkcionalnost SAR plovila. Navedeno može poslužiti kao smjernica za postavljanje standarda i propisa koji se odnose na sigurnost plovidbe, te regulacija koje mogu unaprijediti sigurnost plovidbe. Također, poticanjem upotrebe određenih vrsta opreme koje su dokazano pouzdane u različitim vremenskim uvjetima, odnosno poticati u ulaganje u poboljšanje funkcionalnosti SAR plovila.In this thesis, the application of the AHP method in the decision-making process regarding navigation safety surveillance in the Republic of Croatia is carried out. According to the given subject, the study examines how the AHP method can assist in evaluating and selecting various means for the function of maritime safety supervision and their effectiveness concerning established criteria. The research goal is to examine the efficiency and effectiveness of existing search and rescue assets and evaluate them using a fundamental scale. Through a survey questionnaire administered to a group of stakeholders, an analysis of the expert opinions in the field of navigation safety was conducted, upon which the Analytic Hierarchy Process was employed. Using the AHP multi-criteria analysis method, priorities were determined, and a clear ranking of established criteria and alternatives was achieved. The research results indicate that the criterion of reliability in various weather conditions is the optimal criterion for selecting a unit for navigation safety surveillance, while, concerning the selected criterion, the functionality of SAR vessels stands out. The mentioned findings can serve as a guideline for establishing standards and regulations concerning maritime safety

    Ovaj rad proučava izvore onečišćenja morskog okoliša te prikazuje utjecaj razvoja pomorskog prometa na pojavu mnogih opasnosti koje ugrožavaju okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje. Onečišćenje morskog okoliša podrazumijeva unošenja tvari ili energije u morski okoliš koje uzrokuju posljedice na život u moru, ugrožavaju zdravlje ljudi, te ometaju ljudske djelatnosti. Mnoge velike pomorske nesreće koje su prouzrokovale velika onečišćenja morskog okoliša, te ostavile teške posljedice na život u moru i ugrozile zdravlje ljudi, potakle su donošenje niza konvencija i protokola. Svaka konvencija ima posebnu ulogu u zaštiti okoliša i ljudskog zdravlja.This thesis examines the sources of pollution in the marine environment and shows how the rapid development of maritime transport has led to many hazards that also threaten human health. Pollution of the marine environment is the introduction of substances or energy into the marine environment that have serious consequences for marine life, threaten human health and affect maritime activities. Many major accidents at sea that resulted in severe pollution of the marine environment and had serious consequences for marine life and endangered human health have led to the adoption of a number of conventions and protocols. Each convention has its own role in protecting the environment and human health

    Prethodne dvije godine predstavljale su veliki izazov za sve segmente društva pa tako i za poduzetništvo. Poduzeća iz različitih djelatnosti uvode nove obrasce poslovanja te je naglasak stavljen na online prodaji i zaposlenici započinju s radom na daljinu. Rad na daljinu u Hrvatskoj novi je oblik poslovanja, a većina ljudi doživjela ga je kao nešto nužno kako bi se ispoštovale epidemiološke mjere i održavala socijalna distanca koja je bila nužna za suzbijanje COVID-19. U diplomskom radu analizirani su brojni aspekti i varijable koje su utjecale na gospodarstvo kako na svjetskoj tako i na europskoj razini. Nadalje, u radu je naglasak stavljen na organizaciju rada na daljinu u Republici Hrvatskoj, te prednosti i izazove koji su nametnuti uslijed specifičnih okolnosti poslovanje uzrokovanih pandemijom COVID-19.The previous two years have been a great challenge for all segments of society, including entrepreneurship. Companies from various industries are introducing new business patterns, the emphasis is on online sales and employees are starting to work remotely. Teleworking in Croatia is a new form of business, and most people saw it as necessary in order to comply with epidemiological measures and maintain the social distance necessary to combat COVID-19. The thesis analyzes a number of aspects and variables that have affected the economy at both global and European level. Furthermore, the paper emphasizes the organization of teleworking in the Republic of Croatia, and the advantages and challenges imposed due to specific business circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic

    Ovaj rad istražuje sinergije multimodalnog transporta, automatizacije, digitalizacije i informacijske tehnologije u području pomorstva, istražujući njihov zajednički utjecaj na različite prakse rukovanja teretom. Integracija različitih načina prijevoza analizira se zbog svoje uloge u racionalizaciji globalne logistike, dok se automatizacija pojavljuje kao transformativna sila koja preoblikuje tradicionalne metode rukovanja teretom. Digitalizacija i informacijska tehnologija doprinose poboljšanoj vidljivosti, kontroli i učinkovitosti tijekom cijelog životnog ciklusa rukovanja teretom. Ispituju se implikacije ovih poboljšanja na različite vrste operacija rukovanja teretom, ističući i prilike i izazove. Dok pomorska industrija upravlja ovim transformativnim putovanjem, zainteresirane strane se pozivaju da prihvate inovacije, pozabave se novonastalim složenostima i iskoriste potencijal ovih tehnologija za učinkovitiju, održiviju i prilagodljiviju budućnost u rukovanju teretom.This paper explores the synergies of multimodal transport, automation, digitization, and information technology in the maritime domain, exploring their joint impact on different cargo handling practices. The integration of different modes of transport is analyzed for its role in rationalizing global logistics, while automation emerges as a transformative force reshaping traditional freight handling methods. Digitization and information technology contribute to improved visibility, control, and efficiency throughout the life cycle of cargo handling. The implications of these improvements for different types of cargo handling operations are examined, highlighting both opportunities and challenges. As the maritime industry navigates this transformative journey, stakeholders are urged to embrace innovation, address emerging complexities, and harness the potential of these technologies for a more efficient, sustainable, and adaptable future in cargo handling
