Personalistic transformations of pedagogy : inspirations - postulates - perspectives
Personalistic ideas are one of the sources of inspiration, postulates and aspirations of pedagogy, they open perspectives of seeing a man as a person (endowed with personal dignity). Assimilating personalistic views by pedagogy contributes to the personalistic transformation of pedagogy. If personalism makes a reevaluation in the sphere of axiological and anthropological assumptions of pedagogy, then it is worth considering from many points of view the personalistic inspirations and postulates that change the pedagogy, cause the processes of its transformation. In this article selected inspirations, postulates and perspectives of personalistic transformation of pedagogy will be considered. At the end of the considerations the question will be asked, which opens perspectives for further reflection and stimulates to continue the discussion - formulated by Bogusław Śliwerski: "What does pedagogical personalism bring with it, that some are inclined to see in it more threats than positive values?
Przejawy normalizacji środowiska życia osób z niepełnosprawnościami w strategiach gminnych - przykłady działań o charakterze proinkluzyjnym w gminach powiatu cieszyńskiego
Przedłożone opracowanie składa się z trzech
części. W pierwszej z nich została opisana współczesna rola
jednostek samorządu terytorialnego w perspektywie sytuacji
osób z niepełnosprawnościami. Obejmuje ona także charakterystykę
podstawowych założeń procesu gminnego zarządzania
strategicznego i stosowanych w nim narzędzi. Część druga
zawiera najważniejsze informacje dotyczące koncepcji normalizacji
środowiska życia osób z niepełnosprawnościami. Meritum
artykułu stanowi część trzecia, prezentująca wyniki badań
własnych – polegających na jakościowej analizie kategorialnej
zapisów dotyczących problematyki niepełnosprawności ulokowanych
w strategiach rozwoju i strategiach rozwiązywania problemów społecznych gmin powiatu cieszyńskiego. Całość
zamyka podsumowanie.
Celem opracowania jest zidentyfikowanie nadrzędnych
obszarów z zakresu normalizacji środowiska życia osób z niepełnosprawnościami,
które zostaną wskazane po analizie treści
dotyczących tej grupy społecznej ulokowanych w dokumentach
strategicznych 12 gmin wchodzących w skład powiatu
cieszyńskiego. Dodatkowym celem jest przyporządkowanie do
nadrzędnych obszarów normalizacji uszczegółowionych przedsięwzięć
w ich zakresie. Istotne jest więc rozpoznanie tego, czy
gminy jako najmniejsze jednostki samorządu terytorialnego
respektują potrzeby osób z niepełnosprawnościami, umieszczając
w opracowywanych strategiach przejawy działań związanych
z normalizacją środowiska życia tej defaworyzowanej grupy
osób i sprzyjających jej inkluzji społecznej
Emotional Culture as a Context of Education: Why Emotional Culture is Important for Pedagogy?
abstract
In the article, I search for the connection between emotions culture and education by examining the affective reproduction of culture. Building on the tradition of Émile Durkheim, in the works by Arlie Russell Hochschild and Steven Gordon the concept of emotional culture is (re)constructed. Emotional culture is understood as the specific complex of emotion vocabularies, feeling rules, and beliefs about emotions. Emotions and their meaning provide a socio-psychological mechanism that controls/develops individuals and groups.
In the text, it is argued that the concept of emotional culture adds a distinctive conceptual tool for studying different educational contexts and environments. To examine this argument, the article is divided into three parts. First, an overview of the concepts and theories that underlie the term of emotional culture is given. In the second part, the concept is analyzed in the light of modern cultural studies. The article closes by pointing out pedagogical implications, especially those connected with emotional education
Transformations of the intercultural education : pedagogical explorations on the borderlands
The article points out relations between sources and transformations of Polish intercultural pedagogy and variously understood borderland contexts, because - paradoxically - borderlands are situated in the centre of pedagogical interests. Borderlands are situated in many ways in the centre of Polish intercultural pedagogy, and their recognition and research contributes to the transformation of intercultural pedagogy. Attention was paid to outlining currents of research on borderlands and intercultural relations, the research which is conducted by pedagogues (in an interdisciplinary setting) in university centres located in borderlands. In particular, the theoretical concepts of borderland, which are close to Bakhtin's (dialogic and open) interpretation of this cultural and educational phenomenon, were examined. Interdisciplinary references of pedagogical borderland research to the research in other scientific disciplines were shown. The transformative character of intercultural communication and its transgressive aspects are highlighted. Various difficulties and threats, which are related to the intensification of multiculturalism and identity change processes, were also taken into consideration. In the conclusion it is proposed, among other things, to edit an anthology of articles giving evidence about the course and effects of pedagogical recognition of borderland, which takes place in interdisciplinary dialogue, so that intercultural pedagogy becomes theoretically more mature and self-conscious of its scientific identity, and intercultural education is an effective and at the same time reflective pedagogical activity
Bookshelf 2020
The text presents major and the most interesting Polish prose and poetry books published in 2020 in order to review the state of the Polish publishing industry last year and to attempt to answer the question whether the coronavirus pandemic has somehow affected writers, poets, and publishers. The article also asks what type of fiction was most likely to be published and which writers and poets were most popular with reviewers. It briefly analyses and interprets ten prose and poetry books, showing also how other commentators of contemporary literary life have written about them. The selection of books to be discussed is therefore based not so much on the author’s subjective feelings as on reception. The aim of the text is also to underline the diversity of these publications and to show the most popular creative trends. The authors discussed include: Joanna Bator, Konrad Góra, Wioletta Grzegorzewska, Hanna Krall, Natalia Malek, Krystyna Miłobędzka, Marta Podgórnik, Zyta Rudzka, Szczepan Twardoch, and Patrycja Sikora. In most cases, these are authors who are well known to the Polish reading public and who either announced their new books or offered selections of their previous
work. The compilation proves that readers (including “professional” ones) especially appreciated those works in which the authors attempted to consolidate shattered identities, returned to a traumatic past in an attempt to order the “here and now”, or discussed communication problems, as well as those stories that could be described as socially engaged. The text is located within the disciplines of literary studies and literary criticism
Socio-Cultural Basis of the Ideology of Socialism in Montenegro
The paper discusses, in the chronological and problematic perspective, the essential reasons for the effective adaptation of socialist ideas in Montenegro in 20th century. Apart from sources of Serbian, Russian and German thought, it was local heroic ethics, collectivism and egalitarianism paradigm, economic conditions, political relations with Russia, and also instability of feudal and bourgeois tradition that were crucial to this reception. The examples presented here illustrate various variants of the understanding of socialism: as post-patriarchal solidarism, ethical revolutionarism, utopian communism and anti-bureaucraticism. The elements of these conceptions can be noticed in their first Montenegrin manifestations of 1905-1920, the activity of the interwar YCP as well as in the revolutionary discourse of the antifascist guerrilla movement. Similarly original socio-cultural origin characterises the documentation of the depicted phenomenon in the periods of dispute with Communist International (from 1948, including Milovan Djilas statements), construction of the self-government socialism system and events of 1987-1989

Dramaturgia współtworzenia znaczeń wypowiedzi scenicznej : na marginesie lektury Tekstów dla (Starego) Teatru Pawła Demirskiego
The article deals with dramaturgy in the broad sense of the term – as a written creative work and
the characteristic feature of human activities: artistic and social. The starting point for these discussions
is the publication of an anthology of Paweł Demirski’s theatrical texts commissioned by the
National Stary Theatre in Krakow. The book is an excellent testimony to stage creativity because it
contains conversations with the author and actors about the stages of work in the performance. The
article presents reflections on the dramaturgy of the process of creating a text and a theatrical performance,
the characteristics of Paweł Demirski’s writing and the content arrangement in the anthology.
Reading this book is a peculiar aesthetic experience and a challenge for the reader. The dramaturgy
of the message leads to the dramaturgy of its reception: the reader updates and co-creates meanings
of theatrical texts, according to individual knowledge and sensitivity. Aesthetic experience is shaped
by combining different mental spaces: it is reading a text / seeing a performance
