Replication Data for: Cross sections for charge transfer in proton collisions with carbon dioxide molecules
The work provides accurate values of the cross sections for the process of electron capture by protons in collisions with CO_2 molecules collision energies between 100 eV/u and 50 keV/u. This reaction occurs in the interaction of solar wind with planetary atmospheres. The calculation employs a semiclassical method with an expansion in terms of ab initio functions of the ion HCO_2^+, calculated along the ion trajectories. The cross sections have been averaged over the relative orientation of the target molecule and the ion trajectory to allow comparison with experimental data and the application in other fields. Excellent agreement is found between the calculated cross sections and the available experimental data.
Methodology:
The calculation employs the semi classical approximation with straight-line trajectories. The target nuclei remain in their equilibrium positions (Franck-Condon approximation). To describe the electronic motion a molecular expansion is employed in terms of the electronic wave functions of the HCO_2^+ ion.
Description of the dataset:
The first column [E (keV/u)] is the collision energy in keV/u.
The second column (xs1) is the partial cross section in Angstrom^2 for the formation of the electronic ground state (X^2\Pi_g) of the CO_2^+ ion in the electron capture process.
The third column (xs2) is the partial oross section for the formation of the first excited electronic state (A^2\Pi_u) of the CO_2+ ion.
The fourth column (xst) is the total electron capture cross section, obtained as the sum of the partial cross sections xs1 and xs2.

Cacao Farmers Tumaco
The replacement of illicit crops with cacao in Colombia's South Pacific region involves more than economic viability. It is closely tied to social-ecological restoration, where local organizations and international NGOs play a key role in providing technical improvements linked to social progress. This region, historically affected by violence and illicit crop cultivation, is critical for post-conflict agreements.
This study examines the factors influencing cacao selling prices, focusing on how access to international markets depends more on support for farmers than monetary value. Adequate infrastructure is essential for producing high-quality dry cacao, crucial for market access. Without it, efforts to substitute illicit crops, along with environmental and social stability, are at risk. Using a spatial econometric model, the study highlights that participation in community councils, supported by NGOs, is vital for reducing environmental risks and ensuring sustainability.
The survey was conducted among farmers in Tumaco, Colombia, as part of a research project aimed at understanding agricultural practices, challenges, and climate change adaptation strategies in the region. The study received approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) under protocol number CEID/HU/2020/53, ensuring that all procedures adhered to strict ethical guidelines. The survey was designed to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of participants, with informed consent obtained from all respondents prior to participation. The data collection process followed established protocols to minimize any risks to participants and to ensure that their rights were fully protected throughout the study.</p
Waist circumference percentiles for Hispanic-American children and comparison with other international references.
Data were collected from healthy children (6 to 18 years old) from public schools of middle and low socioeconomic levels in different parts of Argentina, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, and Venezuela. The LMS method was applied to calculate smoothed percentiles depending on age and sex groups. Comparisons were established with references from the United States, Colombia, India, China, Australia, Kuwait, Germany, Tunisia, Greece, and Portugal.
Waist circumference constitutes an indirect measurement of central obesity in children and adolescents. The aim was to provide percentiles of WC for Hispanic-American children and adolescents, and compare them with other international references.</p
