Socialization causes long-lasting behavioral changes: Raw data feeding
No full textThe project explores how socialization in Drosophila melanogaster induces long-lasting behavioral changes. These changes include alterations in feeding, sleep, and aggression. The study connects these behavioral adaptations to memory-like mechanisms, focusing on cAMP signaling and synaptic plasticity in the mushroom body.
The dataset includes behavioral observations of flies subjected to socialization or isolation, sleep patterns recorded using ethoscopes, feeding assays using the single-fly capillary feeding (sCAFE) method, and data on synaptic and neuronal plasticity. It contains measurements from wild-type and genetically modified flies, focusing on CREB-dependent neuronal activity.</p

No full textThis is the dataset used for the study entitled "Developmental Trajectory of a Toddler with PACS1 Syndrome: A Longitudinal Descriptive Case Study". This dataset contains the results obtained in the different standardized tests and questionnaires employed in the study in each evaluation moment. The study aimed to conduct a detailed characterization of the profile of early psychological development in PACS1 syndrome. It also sought to raise awareness of this rare syndrome. A boy with PACS1 syndrome was longitudinally assessed at 24, 30, 36, 42 and 48 months of age. His cognitive, motor, linguistic and socio-communicative development, as well as his adaptative behaviour and sensory profile. At 51 months, symptoms compatible with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) were also explored

The event selected for the analysis is Brazil congress attack, happened on 8th Jan 2023, when a mob of Former President Jair Bolsonaro’ supporters assaulted federal government buildings in the capital, Brasilia, destroying property and vandalizing art and offices of legislators. A multilingual sample of 73 newsbites published on January 8th, 9th and 10th 2023 in digital European newspapers, namely El País, El Mundo, Repubblica, Corriere, The Times, The Guardian, Le Monde and Le Figaro, was collected and analysed. </p

No full textThe project’s main aim is to explore the digital discursive strategies employed by assistant teachers in an online community of practice, focusing on their teaching context and narrative positioning.
The corpus selected for the analysis is derived from a digital forum conducted in English, involving 117 language assistants from bilingual (English-Spanish) schools in the Region of Madrid, Spain. The assistants, who participated in the forum during the academic year 2022-2023, were asked to address the question : “What’s your opinion on Madrid’s Bilingual Education?”.</p

Educational Hall Escape: Increasing Motivation and Raising Emotions in Higher Education Students
No full textEducational Escape Room is an innovative method used in classrooms to motivate students. This article describes a version of Educational Escape Room applied to undergraduate students. Specifically, this work presents an adaptation of the method called Educational Hall Escape, characterized by the resolution of challenges in a game-adapted room in which several student groups compete to finish the activity in the least amount of time. To date, the Educational Hall Escape method applied to the field of business economy has not been reported in the literature. The objective of the study is to analyze the influence of the Educational Hall Escape method on the learning processes and emotions of students during the activity and its impact on their motivation and the reinforcement their competences and knowledge. An experiment was designed in which the class was divided into a control group and an experimental group. To measure the impact of the experience in the students, two tools were used: an exam and the Gamefulquest survey. Despite the fact that the results obtained show that the students perceived the experience as a game, it improved their motivation and increased their proclivity to have an emotional bond with the subject, the academic results remained steady
