Creation and Evaluation of an AI Assistant (GPT) for Educational Experience Design
This dataset corresponds to the article titled 'Creation and Evaluation of an AI Assistant (GPT) for Educational Experience Design' In this work, an assistant created through ChatGPT was validated by designing various scenarios and tests for each of them. This dataset includes the conversations with the AI Assistant for each of the tests.
The emergence of Generative Artificial Intelligence has revolutionized our lives and presents numerous opportunities in education; however, specific digital competencies are essential to maximize the potential of this technology. Prompt engineering proficiency represents a signifi-cant barrier to achieving optimal outcomes. In response, various solutions are being developed utilizing custom GPTs available through OpenAI's ChatGPT platform. This study presents the validation of 'GamifIcA Edu', a specialized GPT-based assistant for gamification and serious games, designed to enable educators to implement these pedagogical approaches without re-quiring advanced prompt engineering expertise, through pre-designed instructional frameworks. The assistant's effectiveness was evaluated using a comprehensive rubric across five distinct use-case scenarios, with each scenario subjected to four different tests representing varied learning contexts across multiple academic disciplines. The validation methodology employed systematic assessment of the assistant's performance in different educational settings. The find-ings demonstrate the successful implementation of the custom-designed GPT, which generated contextually appropriate responses through natural language interactions, eliminating the need for complex prompt structures. This research highlights the potential of instruction-based design in developing AI assistants that enable users with limited prompt engineering knowledge to achieve expert-level outcomes. These results have significant implications for the democratization of AI-enhanced educational tools
The financial document causality detection shared task (FinCausal 2023): Dataset
The Financial Document Causality Detection Task (FinCausal 2023) aims at improving the causality in the financial domain trough its texts. Participants are asked to identify, in causal sentences, which elements of the sentence relate to the cause, and which relate to the effect. LLI-UAM is the organizer of the Spanish subtask. The task dataset has been extracted from a corpus of Spanish financial annual reports from 2014 to 2018.
This shared task focuses on determining causality associated with both events or quantified facts. For this task, a cause can be the justification for a statement or the reason that explains a result. Therefore, it is a relationship detection task. The aim is to identify, in a paragraph, the causal elements and the consequential ones. Only one causal element and one effect are expected in each paragraph.
Participants are provided with a sample of paragraphs, labelled through inter-annotator agreement. This publication consists of the dataset of the shared task.
It is a dataset from the FinCausal 2023 competition. It is designed for participants to use the dataset for fine-tuning their models in order to complete the task with the highest possible similarity to the gold standard. It consists of texts annotated by linguists, highlighting the cause and effect present in a paragraph with a financial theme.</p
BODYinTRANSIT - BiT_v1
Project: BODYinTRANSIT (Sensory-driven Body Transformation Experiences On-the-move) https://edatos.consorciomadrono.es/dataverse/bodyintransit
This dataset has been curated using data from 103 participants.
The current version includes 84 subjects grouped into four sets based on their scores from the Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). The sets are defined as follows:
- Set 1: Low EDEQ score and low IPAQ score
- Set 2: Low EDEQ score and high IPAQ score
- Set 3: High EDEQ score and low IPAQ score
- Set 4: High EDEQ score and high IPAQ score
During the study, participants were equipped with a Rokoko motion capture suit, a BITalino PLUX, and headphones that played modified versions of their footstep sounds. The sound manipulations were carried out under three conditions: (i) Control (C), which applied flat equalisation across frequencies; (ii) High Frequency (HF), which amplified frequencies above 1 kHz by +12 dB while attenuating frequencies of 83-250 Hz by -12 dB; and (iii) Low Frequency (LF), which amplified frequencies of 83-250 Hz by +12 dB, while attenuating frequencies above 1 kHz by -12 dB

List of financial terms
The creation of this dataset is framed in the Spanish national project CLARA-FINT. It is a dataset with financial texts from the main Spanish listed companies' annual reports. Usually, said reports are publicly available under their respective shareholders website sections. The creation of a manually-annotated gold standard by linguists is explored, as well as its subsequent use for fine-tuning a language model to further extract more terms automatically. These new terms are validated by humans afterwards and then incorporated to the definitive list of terms. There are 13,958 terms in total.
A list of terms in TXT format, with a term in each line. It contains financial terms that were extracted from the annual reports of the main Spanish companies listed in the IBEX 35 index. Firstly, a manual extraction is performed by annotation. This results in a gold standard. Secondly, this gold standard is employed to fine-tune a language model, which also generates new terms to add to the definitive list, upon human validation. There are in total 13,958 terms in the list.</p
The Linguistic Anchoring of Storyworld Possible Selves in Fictional Narrative Prose in English (SPSLingAnc)
The aim of SPSLingAnc is to provide the analysis of complete fictional narratives in English, focusing on the presence and distribution of the linguistic expressions and constructions (tokens) which intervene in the subjective construal of storyworld possible selves (SPSs) – conceptual blends of a narrative perspectivizer and a real world narrative experiencer – in readers’ conceptualization of storyworlds.
SPSLingAnc1 comprises 91,328 words of fictional prose in English, analyzed using the MAXQDA 2022 software for mixed-methods analysis, with a total of 5,980 tagged tokens.
The present dataset has two parts. Part 1 contains the full analysis of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, with 48,893 words and 2,708 analyzed tokens. Part 2 contains the full analysis of Henry James’s The Turn of the Screw, with 42,435 words and 3,159 analyzed tokens.
SPSLingAnc may be of interest to scholars and researchers with an interest in the interdisciplinary study of narrative intersubjectivity, particularly in the fields of narrative theory, literary criticism, cognitive literary linguistics, cognitive stylistics, cognitive poetics, narrative discourse analysis, cognitive semantics, communication studies, and empirical reader response research.</p
