Get PDF5510 sayılı Kanun’un 8. maddesinde işçi, bağımsız çalışan ve kamu görevlileri bakımından Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumuna bildirim yükümlülüğü düzenlenmiştir. Her ne kadar zorunluluk ilkesinin bir sonucu olarak sigortalılık niteliği bildirime bağlı olmaksızın kazanılsa da Kuruma bildirim yükümlülüğü öngörülmüş, bu yükümlülüğe aykırılığa çeşitli yaptırımlar bağlanmıştır. Bir diğer ifadeyle, sigortalı niteliğinin bildirim gerekmeksizin kazanılması, bildirime ilişkin yükümlülüğü ortadan aldırmamaktadır. Zira Kurumun sigortalılardan haberdar olması, sigorta yardımlarını yapması, kişilerin sosyal güvenlik hukukundan doğan haklarının tespiti ve korunması, yasal yükümlülüklerin yerine getirilmesi, sigorta primlerinin takibi ve tahsilinin sağlanması, denetimlerin kolaylıkla gerçekleştirilmesi Kuruma zamanında ve gereği gibi bildirimde bulunulmuş olmasına bağlıdır
Gambling problem of a case with a history of cryptocurrency and sports betting: A case study
Get PDFThe purpose of the case presentation is to address the recovery process of a client with a history of cryptocurrency and sports betting. he 39-year-old male sought assistance due to a gambling problem and associated familial issues. In the case, upon observing that the diagnostic criteria for gambling addiction align with DSM-V criteria, the South Oaks Gambling Screen Test was employed to evaluate the severity of gambling behavior. Sessions were conducted with the client utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. The involvement of the family in the process facilitated psychological support throughout the treatment period. Following the eight-month intervention, it was noted that the CBT and Motivational Interviewing-based approach significantly mitigated the client's gambling behavior. Apart from a singular instance (crypto transaction), the client refrained from participating in betting activities. In studies conducted, it is evident that the problem of pathological gambling is at a significant level in Turkey, and similarly, there is a noticeable increase in tendencies towards cryptocurrency. The role of constitution of Pakistan in promoting international peace and strengthening bonds with the Muslim world
Get PDFThe Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the ultimate promotor of international peace and always supports missions and theories of strengthening the relationships between the Muslim world. There are multiple tools for providing solidarity among the Muslim world in Pakistani legislation. One of the policy principles mentioned in Article 40 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973 is evidence of it. Secondly, the founder of Pakistan, “Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” also mentioned Pakistan’s strategy towards the other states at the beginning of the state’s foundation. This constitutional directive shows Pakistan’s dedication to a foreign policy anchored in diplomacy, peaceful conflict resolution, and cooperative relations with the Muslim world. Pakistan has a unique geopolitical position in the region. It has the status of the only Muslim country, which holds the nuclear power to build up peace internationally as well as regionally. Pakistan’s participation in the peacekeeping missions of the United Nations highlights its efforts for global peace and security. Pakistan has also hosted and facilitated peace talks in different regional conflicts. Labor market impacts economic crises in Türkiye
Get PDFThe Turkish economy has gone through series of economic crises since the 1980s even after the continuous market-oriented reforms put in place by the government. These include the 1980-1981 crisis, the 1983 banking crisis, the 1988 stock market and foreign currency crisis, the 1994 financial market crisis, the crisis of 2001 and the global financial crisis of 2008-09, 2018 exchange rate crisis. The main aim of this work is to investigate the labor market impacts of the 1994, 2001 and 2008 crises. To achieve this, we seek answers to the following questions:
• Did the three crises affect unemployment in Türkiye during these periods?
• Was there a difference between the degree to which female and male workers were affected from the crisis?
• Which of these crises had more impact on unemployment and why?
• Does economic crisis have any impact on unemployment?..
Change and transformation of journalism’s codes of conduct in media’s transition from traditional to digital: The New York Times case
Get PDFBu makalenin amacı gazetecilik meslek etiğinin güven üzerine etkisini New York Times gazetesi üzerinden açıklamaya çalışmaktır. Nitel araştırma yöntemiyle oluşturulan araştırmada örnek olay çalışması olarak New York Times incelenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme metodu benimsenmiş ve her biri farklı ülkeden olan 19 gazeteci ile uzaktan bire bir görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmeler, betimsel ve içerik analizi yöntemine göre ele alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında: Haber sitelerinin gelir modellerine daha fazla odaklandığı, kamuoyunda güven konusundaki farkındalığın yükseldiği, gazetecilerin etik sorunlara karşı bilincinin arttığı ve haber merkezlerinin dijitalleşmeye yönelik dönüştürülmeye başlandığı saptanmıştır. Bu faktörlerden dolayı internet haberciliğinin geleceğinin son 10 yılda olduğu kadar problematik geçmemesi beklenmektedir. Katılımcıların “tarafsız yayıncılıktan” çok “güvenilir içeriğin” önemine vurgu yaptıkları belirlenmiştir. New York Times’ın internet ile geleneksel yayıncılığı başarılı şekilde koordine ettiği, internet ortamında okuyucuya ulaşmak için tüm araçları etkin şekilde kullandığı ve aldatıcı başlıklara başvurmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın geleneksel basından dijitale geçiş sürecinde yaşanan etik sorunlara karşı izlenebilecek yolların bulunmasına katkı sağlaması da hedeflenmektedir.The aim of this research is to try to explain the effect of journalism’s codes of conduct on the concept of trust through the example of the New York Times. The New York Times was examined as a case study in the research created with the qualitative research method. The semi-structured interview method was adopted as the data collection tool and one-on-one interviews were conducted with 19 journalists, each from a different country. The interviews were handled according to the descriptive and content analysis method. It was found that news sites’ focus is increasingly on more sustainable income models, public awareness for reliable content is growing, journalists' awareness of ethical issues is increasing and news centers are fully implementing digitalization processes. In light of these factors, internet journalism is not expected to be as problematic as it has been in the last 10 years. It was also noted that the participants emphasized the importance of "reliable content" rather than "objective publishing." With the research, it was concluded that the New York Times successfully coordinated internet journalism with traditional media, effectively using all means at its disposal to reach the reader in the internet environment while not resorting to deceptive tactics. Thisresearch aims to contribute to efforts to find possible methods to successfully navigate through ethical dilemmas that may arise during the transition from traditional media to digital publishing

From space to place: Mapping poverty in Turkish regions with NASA's global gridded relative deprivation index
Get PDFThis study examines the spatial distribution of poverty in Turkish states using zonal statistics techniques. The recently released Global Gridded Relative Deprivation Index (GRDIv1) dataset by NASA has been utilized. The GRDIv1 index contains six pivotal components: Child Dependency Ratio, Subnational Development Index, Infant Mortality Rate, BuiltUp to Non-Built-Up Ratios, VIIRS nighttime lights, and VIIRS Nighttime Lights (VNL) Slope Component. All the components capture various aspects of regional poverty differences. The results show the eastern regions have significantly higher levels of deprivation than the western regions. This disparity is attributed to conflicts, unemployment, and illiteracy in the East, while the West benefits from higher development. The analysis of the ratio of Built-Up Areas to Non-BuiltUp Areas reveals a complex distribution of urbanization and industrialization, with the western Marmara region emerging as a center of development and industrial activity. Moreover, the analysis of Nocturnal Illumination Patterns, based on VIIRS nighttime light data, further confirms the higher levels of development in the west and the deprivation in the east. This study objectively proves that the Eastern region of Turkiye contains areas with much higher deprivation than does central and western regions
