Un dialogo sui cornuti: «Il convito [...] overo del peso della moglie. Dove ragionando si conchiude, che non può la donna dishonesta far vergogna a l’huomo» (1554) di Giovanni Battista Modio
Nel Convito, durante una riunione conviviale, alcuni letterati discutono delle corna e si chiedono se l’adulterio di una moglie possa disonorare il marito. Il dialogo si inserisce in un filone di trattati d’argomento uxorio –e anti-uxorio– del XVI secolo, puntando a esonerare il marito dalla vergogna dell’infedeltà femminile e a riaffermare la convenienza delle nozze. Ma la sua serietà è messa in discussione da uno strano finale: dieci uomini travestiti da satiri entrano in scena per sbeffeggiare le conclusioni dei protagonisti del dialogo. Questo tipo di finale sembra riequilibrare il rapporto tra i sessi, trasformando il dialogo misogino in uno implicitamente filogino

Plastic waste management in agriculture through a GIS-based territory design approach
An integrated methodology for managing the agricultural plastic waste flow using analytical hierarchy process and geographic information system was implemented. The Italian province of Bari, with a surface of 3825 km2, was considered as case study. Two scenarios were analysed: with and without intermediate collection centres. Plastic waste indices were defined and applied to land use maps to estimate and map waste. Ten environmental, social and techno-economic criteria were considered for defining suitability. Data were integrated into a geographic information system for territorial analyses, considering the routes over the roads network. The suitability map for collection centres siting was obtained, the results showed that the situation without collection centres could be improved by interposing them. Waste path lengths and related CO2 emissions were reduced by 62 % and 20 %, respectively, in the scenario with intermediate collection centres
Exploring Self-Reported Physical Activity Levels and Physical Fitness in Italian Children: A Mediation and Moderation Analysis
Background/Objectives: Skill-related physical fitness is a crucial factor influenc ing health status during childhood. Starting from the lack of knowledge in the field of skill related physical fitness and levels of physical activity in Southern Italy, this cross-sectional study aims to explore the mediating and moderating influence of PAL on the association between BMI and skill-related physical fitness. Methods: The sample (N = 387 students; male = 196, age = 12.2 ± 0.87 yrs; female = 191, age = 12.3 ± 0.93) was recruited from schools in the Apulia Region. The assessment included standing long jump (SLJ), 2 kg medicine ball throw (MBT) and 10 × 5 shuttle run (10 × 5) as indicators of physical fitness, and a self-report for measuring daily physical activity (PAL). A 2 (gender) × 3 (BMI cutoff)-factorial ANOVA was performed to highlight differences between groups for physical fitness components and PAL. Then, mediation and moderation models were created, establishing BMI as the independent variable, physical fitness tests as dependent vari ables, and PAL as the mediator and moderator variable. Results: The findings showed
higher physical fitness and PAL in male and female normal-weight groups than in those
who were overweight and obese. Mediation analysis revealed that higher PAL improved
performance in SLJ (b = 0.091, p < 0.01, R2 = 17.16%), led to a modest understanding of
the variation in MBT (∆R2 = 0.026), and significantly reduced the time spent to perform 10 × 5 (p < 0.0, R2 = 10.72%). Conclusions: Despite the obtained results, future research is needed to further understand the association between physical fitness and the sociocultural determinants
of physical activity to guide institutional policies and interventions to prevent poor health habits

Group gradings on exceptional simple Lie superalgebras
We classify up to isomorphism the gradings by arbitrary groups on the exceptional classical simple Lie superalgebras G(3), F(4) and D(2,1;α) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0. To achieve this, we apply the recent method developed by A. Elduque and M. Kochetov to the known classification of fine gradings up to equivalence on the same superalgebras, which was obtained by C. Draper et al. in 2011. We also classify gradings on the simple Lie superalgebra A(1,1), whose automorphism group is different from the other members of the A series

Use of Artificial Intelligence Chatbots in Interpretation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine Reports: A Standardized Approach
Laboratory medicine is crucial for clinical decision-making, yet result interpretation often remains challenging for patients. This study evaluates the effectiveness of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered conversational system in interpreting laboratory test results, utilizing a closed-box training approach for a Claude-based virtual chatbot focused exclusively on laboratory data interpretation without clinical diagnosis. The system was tested using 100 laboratory reports from three Italian laboratories, encompassing diverse biochemical parameters and measurement standards. The laboratories employed different analytical platforms and methodologies, enabling evaluation of the chatbot’s ability to interpret results across varied instrumental settings. The interpretation accuracy was rigorously assessed through peer review by three independent medical experts with extensive laboratory medicine experience. The Claude model demonstrated complete accuracy with zero hallucinations, attributed to the controlled training environment, domain-specific prompts, and pure generation mechanisms without external data access. Patient feedback from 70 participants showed high satisfaction rates, with 90% providing positive ratings. This study demonstrates that carefully designed AI models can effectively bridge the gap between raw laboratory data and patient understanding, potentially transforming laboratory reporting systems while maintaining high accuracy and avoiding diagnostic territory. These findings have significant implications for patient empowerment and healthcare communication efficiency
Experimental and numerical investigation of susceptor-aided continuous induction welding of low-melt PAEK composites
This study enhances the continuous induction welding of unidirectional carbon fiber-reinforced low-melt PAEK, addressing the challenge posed by the anisotropic electrical conductivity of carbon fibers, which causes uneven eddy current distribution, inadequate heating, and weak joint strength. A metallic susceptor moving with the coil along the weld line but not remaining in the bonding interface was introduced to selectively heat the weld area, preventing unnecessary matrix melting. Experimental validation and Finite Element (FE) simulations confirmed the approach's effectiveness in achieving uniform heating and stronger joints. A key parameter in 3D simulation was the electrical conductivity of the laminate, which was lay-up dependent and challenging to measure directly. This work proposed a novel method to estimate electrical conductivity for anisotropic materials by aligning measured and simulated temperature profiles during static induction welding. The model accurately predicted temperature distribution and crystallinity at the interface under different coil speeds. Results demonstrated the feasibility of using a removable steel susceptor to enhance continuous induction welding of UD carbon fiber laminates with a low-melt PAEK matrix. The proposed experimental and numerical approach offers a valuable tool for defining a processing window and optimizing stacking sequences, improving the induction welding of UD carbon fiber composites and non-conductive fiber laminates.
