Le forme di tutela dell'acquirente di beni viziati o non conformi al contratto: un'analisi comparata
Il presente saggio esamina le azioni poste a tutela del compratore che acquista un bene viziato, difforme dal contratto, a partire dalla disciplina prevista dal codice civile per arrivare a quella prevista dal codice del consumo, passando per la Convenzione di Vienna del 1980. Dalla comparazione dell’apparato rimediale a disposizione dell’acquirente emergono punti di forza e criticità che non sembrano superate nemmeno dall’emanazione di direttive europee di nuovo conio. Sulla scorta del dato normativo e delle elaborazioni dottrinali e giurisprudenziali, si propone una rilettura dei rimedi in conformità ai principi dell’ordinamento italo-europeo

Enhancing particle identification in helium-based drift chambers using cluster counting: insights from beam test studies
Particle identification in gaseous detectors traditionally relies on energy loss measurements (dE/dx); however, uncertainties in total energy deposition limit its resolution. The cluster counting technique (dN/dx) offers an alternative approach by exploiting the Poisson-distributed nature of primary ionization, providing a statistically robust method for mass determination. Simulation studies with Garfield++ and Geant4 indicate that dN/dx can achieve twice the resolution of dE/dx in helium-based drift chambers. However, experimental implementation is challenging due to signal overlap in the time domain, complicating the identification of electron peaks and ionization clusters. This paper presents novel algorithms and modern computational techniques to address these challenges, facilitating accurate cluster recognition in experimental data. The effectiveness of these algorithms is validated through four beam tests conducted at CERN, utilizing various helium gas mixtures, gas gains, and wire orientations relative to ionizing tracks. The experiments employ a muon beam (1 GeV/c–180 GeV/c) with drift tubes of different sizes and sense wire diameters. The analysis explores the Poisson nature of cluster formation, evaluates the performance of different clustering algorithms, and examines the dependence of counting efficiency on the beam particle impact parameter. Il cratere del Pittore di Amykos: nuovi dati sui vasi protolucani in Messapia.
La collezione di antichità appartenuta al ‘geologo-umanista’ Antonio Lazzari comprende un cratere a campana protolucano proveniente da Manduria attualmente esposto presso il MAR, il Museo Archeologico di Castro. La pubblicazione integrale della Collezione donata dalla famiglia Lazzari al MAR offre l’occasione per ritornare sul cratere, edito per la prima volta nel 2016 nella rivista Studi di Antichità 14, anche al fine di presentare le novità emerse in questi ultimi anni sulle ceramiche protolucane in Messapia.
Il vaso proviene, stando a fonti orali, dall’insediamento messapico di Manduria e mostra sul lato principale una menade con tirso fra due satiri; sul lato secondario campeggiano tre giovani ammantati. Per la forma e la decorazione il cratere si confronta con vasi realizzati, intorno al 430 a.C., dal Pittore di Amykos, un ceramografo che, sulla base di vari indizi, si ritiene attivo a Metaponto nel quartiere ceramico scoperto negli anni Settanta. Nel contributo il cratere di Castro, oltre ad essere analizzato sotto l’aspetto stilistico, viene presentato nel quadro più ampio delle importazioni protolucane in Messapia. L’obiettivo è quello di comprendere il contributo che questo nuovo interessante documento porta alla discussione sui meccanismi che regolavano l’acquisizione da parte dei Messapi delle ceramiche figurate greche, un tema che le ricerche sui contesti di rinvenimento sviluppate dal settore di Archeologia Classica dell’Università del Salento hanno contribuito a chiarire, evidenziando l’importante ruolo che i manufatti di importazione rivestivano nelle dinamiche di autorappresentazione delle aristocrazie locali
Curriculum for safe and effective use of artificial intelligence in endoscopy: European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) Position Statement
: The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) has identified a critical need to establish structured training for safe and effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in endoscopy. This manuscript presents the results of a formal Delphi consensus process and outlines the official ESGE position, offering a comprehensive curriculum for acquiring and maintaining the competence needed to exploit the benefit of using AI tools in endoscopy. The proposed framework defines the prerequisites in the preadoption phase, core training components, and requirements to maintain optimal implementation. Key recommendations include: (1) ensuring basic competency in standard endoscopy procedures; (2) acquiring foundational knowledge of AI principles; (3) implementing educational programs to enhance AI literacy; (4) recognizing and mitigating cognitive biases in human-AI interaction; (5) avoiding over-reliance on AI in clinical decision-making; and (6) continuous monitoring of key performance indicators throughout AI system integration
Biomimetic Silk Fibroin Scaffolds Functionalized with Hydroxyapatite and Platelet Growth Factors for Bone Tissue Engineering
Non-union fractures represent a significant clinical challenge requiring innovative therapeutic approaches. Silk fibroin (SF) scaffolds have gained recognition as advantageous biomaterials for bone tissue engineering due to their biocompatibility and mechanical characteristics. This study investigated the biocompatibility and osteoinductive potential of SF scaffolds functionalized with hydroxyapatite (HA) and loaded with platelet growth factors (PGFs) using hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). SF scaffolds were prepared and functionalized with HA through methanol impregnation, while PGFs were obtained from platelet lysate via apheresis procedures. HSCs were cultured on different experimental groups, namely SF, SF-HA, PGF, SF-PGF, and SF-HA-PGF, assessing biocompatibility through 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, Live/Dead staining, and cytoskeleton analysis over 7 days. Osteoinductive properties were evaluated using Alizarin Red staining for mineral matrix deposition at 14 and 21 days. The MTT assay revealed the biocompatibility of all the experimental groups. The Live/Dead assay confirmed high cell viability, while the cytoskeleton analysis revealed well-organized actin filaments comparable to controls. Alizarin Red staining showed that PGF alone promoted early mineral matrix deposition at day 14, while SF-HA, SF-PGF, and SF-HA-PGF groups demonstrated significantly enhanced mineralization at day 21 compared with SF alone. The combination of silk fibroin scaffolds with platelet growth factors alone or with hydroxyapatite and platelet growth factors creates a biomimetic environment that supports cell viability and induces the osteogenic differentiation of hemopoietic stem cells. These findings suggest significant potential for clinical translation in treating non-union fractures and bone defects

Effect of Thermal and Electric Coupling on the Multifield Response of Laminated Shell Structures Employing Higher-Order Theories
The paper introduces a refined formulation, based on higher-order theories, for the thermo-electro-elastic analysis of laminated shell structures made of smart materials. The formulation employs a generalized higher-order model to describe the configuration variables, following the Equivalent Single Layer and Equivalent-Layer-Wise approaches. After presenting an effective homogenization procedure for thermo-electro-elastic smart composites, the fundamental equations are derived in curvilinear principal coordinates, taking into account the coupling effects among mechanical elasticity, electricity, and heat conduction. A semi-analytical solution is then obtained using Navier’s method. Furthermore, the three-dimensional response of the panel is determined through a recovery procedure that applies the Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) numerical method. Numerical examples are provided, where the formulation is applied to both straight and curved panels subjected to various surface actions. These examples point out the coupling effect between different physical phenomena on the multifield three-dimensional response. Furthermore, the numerical results based on the proposed formulation are verified to be consistent with predictions from finite-element-based models, despite the reduced computational cost. The manuscript enables in a simple way the study of physical couplings between different fields that are not considered in most commercial software. As a result, this formulation offers a valuable tool for designing doubly-curved laminated panels made of innovative smart materials for novel engineering applications
Business Intelligence in Supply Chain Management: Insights for Performance and Sustainability
The increasing availability of digital technologies enables companies to manage large volumes of data and optimize their supply chains, with significant implications for both business performance and sustainability. While scholars have shown growing interest in the opportunities offered by Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Analytics (BA), the literature remains fragmented and limited in addressing their role in advancing social and environmental responsibility. This study conducts a Structured Literature Review (SLR) to analyse the application of BI and BA in supply chain management, with a particular focus on sustainability-related opportunities and challenges. The collection is composed of 42 articles, published from 2014 to 2023, collected from the Scopus and Web of Science platforms. Findings indicate that BI is crucial for descriptive and predictive analyses, supporting managers in decision-making and enhancing supply chain agility. Moreover, digital tools contribute to improved performance and accountability across different stages of the supply chain. However, sustainability is not yet a predominant factor in existing research, suggesting a critical gap. Future studies should therefore expand investigations into how BI and BA can support sustainable practices, especially in the public sector, small and medium-sized enterprises, and sectors such as Food & Beverage. This work contributes to the ongoing debate on how digital technologies can be harnessed not only for efficiency but also for advancing social and environmental responsibility in supply chains, while also enriching the Resource-Based View by showing how BI and BA can evolve into strategic capabilities that generate competitive and sustainable advantage
