TESTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LIMONENE AND CARVONE AS INHIBITORS OF STEEL CORROSION IN HYDROCHLORIC ACID
Korozija metalnih materijala od davnina predstavlja problem koji još i danas usprkos značajnom razvoju znanosti i tehnologije nije još uvijek u potpunosti riješen. Korozija osim što dovodi do značajnog propadanja materijala, uzrokuje i značajne ekonomske gubitke, ali utječe i na pogoršanje stanja okoliša. Zaštita, posebno metalnih materijala od korozije uvjetuje korištenje ekološki prihvatljivih metoda i tvari. Jedna od najviše upotrebljavanih metoda zaštite, posebice u vodenim medijima kao što su otopine kiselina je primjena inhibitora korozije. U ovom radu dan je teorijski pregled korozijskih procesa i metoda zaštite od korozije, dok se eksperimentalnim dijelom nastojala dokazati potencijalna inhibicijska djelotvornost dva prirodna organska spoja, karvona i limonena u zaštiti čelika Č.5426 od korozije u 10% otopini solne kiseline.Corrosion of metal materials has been a problem since ancient times, which even today, despite the significant development of science and technology, has not yet been fully resolved. Corrosion, in addition to leading to significant deterioration of materials, also causes significant economic losses, but also affects the deterioration of the environment. Protection, especially of metal materials from corrosion, requires the use of environmentally friendly methods and substances. One of the most used protection methods, especially in aqueous media such as acid solutions, is the application of corrosion inhibitors. This paper presents a theoretical overview of corrosion processes and methods of corrosion protection, while the experimental part tried to prove the potential inhibitory effectiveness of two natural organic compounds, carvone and limonene, in protecting steel Č.5426 from corrosion in a 10% hydrochloric acid solution
CONSUMER ATTITUDES ABOUT INTERNET INFORMATION ON MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS
Danas je internet postao glavni izvor informacija, a na njemu se može pronaći i mnoštvo informacija o mlijeku i mliječnim proizvodima. Međutim, nisu svi izvori informacija znanstveno utemeljene, zbog čega je bitno razlikovati pouzdane od nepouzdanih informacija. Nepouzdane informacije su napisani od strane osoba koje za to područje nisu stručne, dok su pouzdane informacije one čiji su autori znanstvenici i stručnjaci. Najčešća potrošaći pogrešno vjeruju u zdravstvenu nadmoć domaćih proizvoda nad industrijski proizvedenim, negativnom utjecaju termičke obrade na kakvoću mlijeka, prisutnost antibiotika i hormona rasta u mlijeku, te štetnim utjecajima mliječne masti i punomasnih mliječnih proizvoda, poput sireva i maslaca. Zbog svega navedenog, potrošači bi trebali kritički razmišljati i provjeravati točnost informacija koje mogu pronaći na internetu. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti kolika je doza povjerenja potrošača u istinitost informacija koje o mlijeku i mliječnim proizvodima mogu pronaći na internetu. Za potrebe istraživanja proveden je prigodno osmišljen anketni upitnik u kome je sudjelovao 161 ispitanik.Today, the internet has become a major source of information and also for information about milk and dairy products. However, not all information sources are scientifically based, which is why it is important to be able to define a difference between reliable and unreliable sources. Unreliable sources are written by people who are not experts in this field, while reliable sources are written by scientists and milk experts. The most common misconceptions are that domestic products are healthier than industrial products, the negative impact of heat treatment on milk quality, presence of antibiotics and growth hormone in milk and also the harmful effects of milk fat and full-fat dairy products, such as cheese and butter. This is why consumers should deliberate and check the accuracy of information on the internet. The aim of this research was to find out how much confidence consumers have in the veracity of the information about milk and dairy products that they can find on the internet. For the purposes of this research, an appropriate questionnaire was conducted on 161 respodents
LENGTH-WEIGHT RELATIONSHIP AND CONDITION FACTOR OF THE FOREIGN FISH SPECIES OF ROUND GOBY Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1814) IN THE LOWER COURSE OF THE KUPA RIVER
Na temelju ulova ribolovnim priborom na tri lokacije u donjem toku rijeke Kupe napravljena je analiza dužinsko-masenog odnosa i faktora kondicije strane vrste ribe glavočića okrugljaka Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1814). Ukupno je ulovljeno 115 jedinki glavočića okrugljaka, kojima je naknadno izmjerena ukupna dužina tijela, standardna dužina tijela i njihova masa. Na temelju izmjerenih parametara izračunat je dužinsko-maseni odnos populacije za svaki lokalitet zasebno i za cjelokupnu populaciju. Na temelju dobivene ukupne dužine tijela i mase uzoraka izmjeren je Fultonov faktor kondicije za svaku jedinku zasebno. Tijekom uzorkovanja mjereno je i provedeno vrijeme za prikupljanje uzoraka prema kojem je izračunat ulov po jedinici napora. Tijekom uzorkovanja bilježene su ulovljene jedinke svih ostalih vrsta riba te je na temelju toga određen udio alohtonih vrsta u ribljoj populaciji u donjem toku rijeke Kupe.In three locations in the lower course of the Kupa River, individuals of the foreign species, the round goby Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1814), were caught with fishing gear. A total of 115 individuals of round goby were caught, and their total body length, standard body length and weight were subsequently measured. The obtained results measured the population length-weight ratio for each locality separately and for the entire population. Based on the obtained total body length and sample weight, Fulton's condition factor was measured for each individual. Along with the individuals of round goby caught, the time spent collecting samples was measured for each sampling separately, and accordingly the catches per unit of effort. was calculated. Furthermore, besides the samples of round goby caught, individuals of all other fish species were recorded. Based on these notes, the share of non-native species in the fish population in the lower course of the Kupa River was determined
APPLICATION OF DATA WARHOUSE I MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY AT WORK
Kada govorimo o skladištima podataka, primarno mislimo na velike tvrtke i poduzeća koji svoje podatke čuvaju u skladištu podataka i na taj način vode brigu i o zaštiti na radu, ali i o sigurnosti zdravlja svojih zaposlenika. Važno je napomenuti kako dobar dio navedenih pojmova reguliraju i zakonodavne odredbe zemalja u kojima se skladišta podataka, ali i zaštita na radu prakticiraju. Skladišta podataka neizostavni su dio poslovanja svakog poduzeća. Razlog leži u činjenici da je za poslovanje potrebno koristiti sve više podataka – kako onih o samim zaposlenicima, tako i onih o poslovanju poduzeća – analize poslovanja, prodaja i ulaganja, praćenje napretka i rasta poduzeća i brojne druge podatke koji su bitni za rad i razvoj poduzeća. Jedno je sigurno, a to je da je skladište podataka gotovo jednako u svim zemljama svijeta. Ono što se razlikuje je zakonodavna regulativa koja sve to nadzire. Skladišta podataka do izražaja dolaze i kada govorimo o analizi profesionalnih oboljenja. Naime, Republika Hrvatska, točnije Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo, posjeduje Registar profesionalnih oboljenja. Tim se registrom nastojalo obuhvatiti što je veći broj profesionalnih oboljenja, kao i drugih podataka vezanih za ta oboljenja, a koja pogoduju ili nastanku bolesti ili su bitna zbog analize cjelokupnih rezultata. Činjenica je da se skladište podataka kod nas može još bolje koristiti kako bi se unaprijedila zaštita na radu.When we talk about data warehouses, we primarily think about large companies and companies that keep their data in the data warehouse and thus take care of both occupational health and safety of their employees. It is important to note that a good part of these concepts are regulated by the legislative provisions of the countries in which data warehouses, but also protection at work are practiced. Data warehouses are an indispensable part of every company’s business. The reason lies in the fact that for business it is necessary to use more and more data - both on the employees themselves and on the business of the company - business analysis, sales and investments, monitoring the progress and growth of the company and many other data that are important for the work and development of the company. One thing is certain, and that is that the data warehouse is almost the same in every country in the world. What is different is legislative regulation that monitors all this. Data warehouses are also coming to the fore when it comes to analyzing occupational diseases. Namely, the Republic of Croatia, more precisely the Croatian Institute for Public Health, owns the Register of Occupational Diseases. That register sought to cover as many occupational diseases as possible and other data relating to those diseases which are either favorable to the occurrence of the disease or essential for the purpose of analyzing the overall results. ANALYSIS OF STASTISTICAL INDICATORS OF FIREFIGHTING INTERVENTIONS IN THE COUNTY OF MEĐIMURJE FROM 2011. TO 2022.
Glavni cilj ovog završnog rada je prikazati strukturu vatrogasnih intervencija na području Međimurske županije u periodu od 2011. do 2022. godine. Statistički su analizirani i prikazani podaci o vatrogasnim intervencijama prema vrstama kroz zadano razdoblje za Međimursku županiju. Prikupljanjem i analizom podataka o vremenskim prilikama za promatrano razdoblje, prikazan je utjecaj vremenskih prilika na pojedine vatrogasne intervencije i koliki je to utjecaj imalo na ekstremne godine po broju intervencija u Međimurskoj županiji. Statistički je analizirano i prikazano koliki broj intervencija odrade Javna vatrogasna postrojba Čakovec i dobrovoljna vatrogasna društva samostalno, a koliko ih odrade zajedničkim snagama. U radu je prikazana i struktura vatrogasnog kadra i vatrogasnih vozila zastupljena na području Međimurske županije.The main goal of this final paper is to present the structure of firefighting interventions in the Međimurje County area from 2011 to 2022. Data on firefighting interventions according to types during the given period for Međimurje County were statistically analyzed and presented. By collecting and analyzing data on weather conditions for the observed period, we attempted to determine the impact of weather conditions on individual firefighting interventions and how much impact it had on extreme years in terms of the number of interventions in Međimurje County. The number of interventions carried out by the Public Fire Brigade Čakovec and voluntary firefighting societies independently, as well as the number of interventions carried out by them jointly, were statistically analyzed and presented. The paper also presents the structure of firefighting personnel and firefighting vehicles represented in the Međimurje County area
CO-FINANCING OF INNOVATIONS BY EU FUNDED GRANT CONTRACTS
Ovaj rad opisuje pojam i vrste inovacija te sve bitne odrednice koje inovaciju čine takvom. Analiziraju se vrste inovacija te načini zaštite istih u vidu intelektualnog vlasništva uz primjere iz prakse. Posebno se analiziraju razine inovativnosti sukladno tehnološkoj razini spremnosti inovacije za njenu komercijalnu primjenu a sukladno primjenjivim propisima na razini Europske unije. U radu je prikazana važnost poticanja inovatora na razini Europske unije, kao i Republike Hrvatske temeljem Nacionalnog plana oporavka RH koji izuzetnu važnost za razvoj domaćeg gospodarstva pridaje inovacijama i načinu pokretanja istih. Jedan od načina kojim Vlada potiče ulaganje u inovacije je financiranje iz fondova Europske unije. Iz tog je razloga kao praktičan dio rada urađen detaljan način pripreme i provedbe projekta u svrhu sufinanciranja inovacija iz navedenih izvora. Temelj ovog rada su inovacije i način financiranja istih putem Ugovora o dodjeli bespovratnih sredstava Europske unije.This paper describes the concept and characteristics of innovations, furthermore includes analysis of types of innovations as well as ways of protecting them in the form of intellectual property with practical examples. In particular, the levels of innovations are analyzed in accordance with the technological readiness level of the innovation for its commercial application in accordance with the applicable regulations at the level of the European Union. The paper shows the importance of encouraging innovators in the European Union, and the Republic of Croatia based on the National Recovery Plan of the Republic of Croatia, which indicates great importance of development of the domestic economy based on innovations and gives mechanisms in order to finance an innovation. One of the ways the Croatian Government encourages investments in innovations is financing from the European Union funds. Having that said, as a practical part of this paper, detailed steps of preparation and implementation of the innovation project for co-financing from the EU funds has been made. U ovom završnom radu bit će opisana izrada LED stroboskopa koji se prvenstveno koristi za koncerte, noćne klubove i za vozila hitne pomoći. Bit će opisana izrada tiskane pločice, elektroničkih komponenata na njoj, korištenih alata te računalnog programa Target 3001 korištenog za izradu elektroničkih shema. Cilj ovog završnog rada je steći praktično iskustvo pomoću znanja stečenog tijekom obrazovanja.This final paper will describe the making of an LED stroboscope that is primarily used for concerts, night clubs and for emergency vehicles. The making of the printed circuit board, the electronic components on it, the tools used and software Target 3001 used for the making of electronic schemes will be described. IMPLEMENTATION OF OCCUPATIONAL PROTECTION PROTOCOL FOR CLEANROOMS
Zaštita na radu je skup mjera koje se provode radi sprječavanja utjecaja štetnih čimbenika radnog procesa ili radnog okoliša na zdravstveno stanje zaposlenika. Na temelju toga ovaj diplomski rad podijeljen je u 8 poglavlja koji obuhvaćaju objašnjenje što su zapravo čisti prostori, koji su dijelovi čistih prostora, poglavlje zaštite na radu gdje je objašnjeno koja osobna zaštitna sredstva se koriste, kvalifikacija za čiste prostore, praćenje okoliša i procesa, testiranje i dokumentacija i periodični pregledi. Rad u čistim prostorima predstavlja veliki rizik za samog zaposlenika i za proizvod na kojem se radi u čistim prostorima radi kontaminacije.Safety at work is a set of measures implemented to prevent the impact of harmful factors od the work process or work environment on the health of employees. MONITORING OF EURASIAN OTTER (LUTRA LUTRA) ON ZRMANJA AND KORIŠNICA RIVER
Vidra (Lutra lutra) je u Republici Hrvatskoj strogo zaštićena vrsta čiju zaštitu uređuju i relevantne međunarodne konvencije te propisi Europske unije. Monitoring vidre (Lutra lutra) na rijekama Zrmanji i Karišnici u Zadarskoj županiji izvršen je u proljeće 2021. godine i jesen 2022. godine. Prikupljanjem podataka o znakovima prisutnosti vidre dobiveni su podaci o rasprostranjenosti vrste na istraživanom području. Korištene su neinvazne metode istraživanja. Uzorci su fotografirani i zabilježeni pomoću GPS-a. Ukupna je utvrđeno 17 znakova njene prisutnosti od čega 13 tragova izmeta i 2 traga ostatka hrane. Analni želatinozni sekret je pronađen u jednom slučaju, kao i prisutnost vidre u obliku pronalaska njenog staništa/nastambe. Na lokalitetima je veća brojnost tragova tijekom proljetnog razdoblja što upućuje na to da se vidre tada znatno intenzivnije hrane uzimajući iz okoliša raspoložive izvore hrane. Podaci iz literature o rasprostranjenosti vidre i promjenama veličine njenih populacija potvrđuju da je vidra osjetljiva vrsta te da je njezin opstanak izravno ovisan o čovjekovom djelovanju.Otter (Lutra lutra) is a strictly protected species in the Republic of Croatia whose protection is regulated by the relevant international conventions and regulations of the European Union. Otter monitoring (Lutra lutra) on the rivers Zrmanja and Karišnica in Zadar County was carried out in spring 2021. and autumn 2022. Data on the distribution of the species in the researched area were obtained by collecting data on signs of otter presence. Non-invasive research methods have been used. The samples were photographed and recorded using GPS. A total of 17 signs of the presence of an otter were determined, of which 13 of feces and 2 of leftover food. An anal gelatinous secretion was found in one case, as well as the presence of an otter in the form of finding its den. In the localities there is a greater number of signs during the spring period, which indicates that otters then feed much more intensively by taking from the environment available food sources. Data from the literature on the distribution of the otter and changes in the size of its populations confirm that the otter is a sensitive species and that its survival is directly dependent on human activity
