    REDUCING CLIMATE CHANGE BY CHANGING THE WAY OF DIET

    Klimatske promjene predstavljaju jedan od najozbiljnijih izazova suvremenog društva, a prehrambene navike igraju ključnu ulogu u njihovom intenziviranju. Prehrambena industrija odgovorna je za značajan udio emisija stakleničkih plinova, pri čemu posebno odskače proizvodnja mesa, koja zahtijeva velike količine vode, zemljišta i energije. Osim toga, globalna distribucija hrane i industrijska prerada dodatno doprinose degradaciji okoliša. Ovaj rad istražuje kako prehrambene navike utječu na okoliš te analizira moguće održive alternative. Smanjenje konzumacije mesa, prelazak na biljnu prehranu te odabir lokalnih i sezonskih namirnica mogu značajno smanjiti ekološki otisak. Također, pravilno gospodarenje prehrambenim otpadom, uključujući smanjenje bacanja hrane i kompostiranje, dodatno doprinosi smanjenju štetnog utjecaja prehrambenog sustava. Osim ekoloških aspekata, rad razmatra i zdravstvene prednosti održivih prehrambenih obrazaca, uključujući smanjenje rizika od kroničnih bolesti povezanih s prekomjernom konzumacijom mesa i prerađene hrane. Uz to, analiziraju se i mjere poput ekološkog označavanja hrane te održivijeg transporta i pakiranja proizvoda, koje mogu dodatno unaprijediti ekološku održivost prehrambenog sustava. Cilj rada je ukazati na važnost promjena u prehrambenim navikama te istaknuti kako odgovorniji pristup prehrani može pridonijeti smanjenju negativnih posljedica klimatskih promjena i razvoju održivijeg društva.Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of modern society, with dietary habits playing a crucial role in its acceleration. The food industry is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, particularly due to meat production, which requires vast amounts of water, land, and energy. Additionally, global food distribution and industrial processing further exacerbate environmental degradation. This thesis examines the environmental impact of dietary habits and explores potential sustainable alternatives. Reducing meat consumption, adopting plant-based diets, and prioritizing local and seasonal foods can significantly decrease the ecological footprint. Furthermore, proper food waste management, including waste reduction and composting, plays a key role in mitigating the negative effects of the food system. Beyond the environmental aspects, this research also considers the health benefits of sustainable dietary patterns, such as reducing the risk of chronic diseases associated with excessive meat and processed food consumption. Moreover, measures such as eco-labeling, sustainable food transport, and environmentally friendly packaging are analyzed as additional ways to improve the sustainability of the food industry. The aim of this research is to highlight the importance of changing dietary habits and demonstrate how a more responsible approach to food consumption can contribute to mitigating climate change and fostering a more sustainable society

    QUALITY ASSURANCE OF MATERIAL AND TRACEABILITY IN SERIES PRODUCTION

    U ovom radu analiziraju se ključni aspekti osiguranja kvalitete materijala i uspostave sljedivosti u serijskoj proizvodnji. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na važnost ulaznih materijala, implementaciju sustava za praćenje materijala kroz sve faze proizvodnog procesa i utjecaj ovih sustava na ukupnu kvalitetu proizvoda. Prikazane su metode za postizanje visoke razine kvalitete i transparentnosti. Rezultati pokazuju da primjena sustava sljedivosti i osiguranja kvalitete značajno smanjuje broj nesukladnosti i reklamacija, povećava učinkovitost proizvodnje i doprinosi ispunjavanju zahtjeva kupaca i regulatornih tijela. U radu se prvo upoznajemo sa općim pojmovima osiguranja kvalitete i sljedivosti, zatim je u eksperimentalnom dijelu opisan primjer iz stvarne serijske proizvodnje, prikazana su mjerenja tvrdoće i kemijskog sastava, a na kraju je i analiza ostvarenih rezultata.Quality assurance of material and traceability in serial production This paper analyzes key aspects of material quality assurance and traceability in serial production. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of input materials, the implementation of material tracking systems throughout all stages of the production process, and the impact of these systems on overall product quality. Methods for achieving a high level of quality and transparency are presented. The results show that the application of the traceability and quality assurance system significantly reduces the number of non-conformities and complaints, increases production efficiency and contributes to meeting the requirements of customers and regulatory authorities. In the paper, we first get acquainted with the general concepts of quality assurance and traceability, then in the experimental part an example from real serial production is described, measurements of hardness and chemical composition are presented, and finally there is an analysis of the achieved results

    THE ROLE OF INSURANCE COMPANIES IN IMPROVING SAFETY AT WORK

    Rad istražuje ulogu osiguravajućih kuća u unapređenju sigurnosti na radu u Hrvatskoj. Kroz analizu relevantne literature, provedbu ankete među 71 ispitanikom iz različitih sektora te statističku obradu podataka, rad pruža uvid u percepciju zaposlenika o ulozi osiguravajućih kuća u prevenciji nezgoda i promociji sigurnosti na radu. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da postoji značajan prostor za poboljšanje u komunikaciji između osiguravajućih kuća i zaposlenika, kao i u provedbi preventivnih programa. Utvrđeno je da 39,4% ispitanika ocjenjuje komunikaciju s osiguravajućim kućama kao nepostojeću, dok 43,7% nikada nije čulo za preventivne programe koje organiziraju osiguravajuće kuće. Istraživanje je također otkrilo nedostatke u znanju zaposlenika o policama osiguranja i sigurnosti na radu. Primjerice, samo 7,0% ispitanika je u potpunosti upoznato s vrstama osiguranja koje njihovo poduzeće ima ugovorene. Osiguravajuće kuće imaju važnu ulogu u unapređenju sigurnosti na radu, ali je potrebno uložiti dodatne napore u edukaciju, komunikaciju i implementaciju preventivnih mjera kako bi se ta uloga dodatno osnažila i unaprijedila sigurnost radnika.he paper investigates the role of insurance companies in improving safety at work in Croatia. Through the analysis of relevant literature, the implementation of a survey among 71 respondents from different sectors and the statistical processing of data, the work provides an insight into the perception of employees about the role of insurance companies in accident prevention and promotion of safety at work. The research results show that there is significant room for improvement in communication between insurance companies and employees, as well as in the implementation of preventive programs. It was found that 39.4% of respondents rate communication with insurance companies as non- existent, while 43.7% have never heard of preventive programs organized by insurance companies. The survey also revealed gaps in employees' knowledge of insurance and occupational safety policies. For example, only 7.0% of respondents are fully aware of the types of insurance that their company has contracted. Insurance companies have an important role in improving safety at work, but it is necessary to invest additional efforts in education, communication and the implementation of preventive measures in order to further strengthen this role and improve the safety of workers

    ANALYSIS OF THE TROPHY VALUE OF ROE DEER IN THE STATE OPEN HUNTING GROUND NO. III/8 "DUBRAVA"

    U ovom završnom radu analizirane su trofejne vrijednosti srnjaka u državnom otvorenom lovištu broj: III/8 - „DUBRAVA“ koje se nalazi na području Sisačko-moslavačke županije. Lovište pripada nizinskom tipu lovišta na kojemu dominiraju šumske površine. U analizi korišteni su sljedeći čimbenici: duljina rogovlja, masa rogovlja, raspon rogovlja, dob, predio odstrela te trofejna vrijednost. Analizirali su se ocjembeni listovi srnjaka od 2009. /2010.do 2023/2024. lovne godine te je ukupno obrađeno 165 ocjembenih listova. Na temelju rezultata može se zaključiti kako konačna ocjena (broj CIC točaka) je pozitivno korelirana s dobi srnjaka, te da ovisi o tipu staništa te varira od godine do godine. Na području lovišta zabilježen je jedan odstrjel u zlatnoj medalji, tri u srebrnoj te četiri u brončanoj medalji.In this bachelor thesis, the trophy values of roe deer bucks in the state open hunting ground No. III/8 "DUBRAVA" located in the Sisačko-moslavačka County, were analyzed. The hunting ground belongs to the lowland type, predominantly covered by forest areas. The analysis included the following factors: antler length, antler weight, antler span, age, harvesting area, and trophy value. Assessment records of roe deer bucks from the 2009/2010 to 2023/2024 hunting seasons were analyzed, with a total of 165 records processed. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the final evaluation (CIC score) is positively correlated with the age of deer, and that it depends on the habitat type and varies from year to year. Within the hunting ground, one gold medal trophy, three silver medal trophies, and four bronze medal trophies were recorded

    Spašavanje iz bunara jedno je od najsloženijih i najopasnijih područja vatrogasnih intervencija koje zahtijeva visok stupanj tehničke pripremljenosti, timske koordinacije. Bunari, kao duboki i često neoznačeni objekti, mogu postati smrtonosne zamke za ljude i životinje, osobito kada nisu pravilno zaštićeni, pokriveni ili vidljivo obilježeni. Vatrogasne postrojbe u takvim slučajevima imaju ključnu ulogu, jer prve pristupaju unesrećenoj osobi s pomoću specijalizirane opreme i tehnika spašavanja koje uključuju spuštanje u duboke prostore, upotrebu sigurnosnih sustava i komunikaciju s osobom na dnu bunara. Operativni tijek spašavanja započinje brzom procjenom terena, zatim osiguravanjem mjesta intervencije, organizacijom opreme i spuštanjem jednog ili više članova tima prema unesrećenome. Uz vatrogasce, važno mjesto imaju i hitna medicinska pomoć koja zbrinjava unesrećenu osobu. Svaka intervencija zahtijeva precizno provođenje protokola i donošenje odluka u stvarnom vremenu, jer uvjeti na terenu često uključuju urušene zidove, prisutnost vode, mulja ili toksičnih plinova. Stoga je stalna edukacija i vježbanje tehnika spašavanja iz bunara nužno za održavanje visoke operativne spremnosti. Niti najsuvremenije tehnike ne mogu u potpunosti nadomjestiti značaj prevencije. Kroz jasno zakonodavno uređenje, obavezno fizičko osiguranje bunara, izradu lokalnih registara te inspekcijski nadzor, moguće je spriječiti veliki broj nesreća. Uz to, obrazovanje javnosti, osobito djece i vlasnika zemljišta, ključno je u razvijanju svijesti o rizicima i ispravnom ponašanju u blizini bunara. Uloga vatrogasaca u preventivnim mjerama može uključivati pokazne vježbe, edukativne kampanje i savjetovanje zajednice, čime se vatrogasna intervencija premješta u još aktivniju sferu djelovanja. Spašavanje iz bunara u funkciji vatrogasnih intervencija mora se promatrati ne samo kao tehnički izazov, već i kao zadatak od šireg društvenog značenja.Well rescue is one of the most complex and dangerous areas of firefighting interventions that require a high degree of technical preparation, team coordination and immediate reactions in extremely risky conditions. Wells, as deep and often unmarked objects, can become deadly traps for humans and animals, especially when they are not properly protected, covered or visibly marked. In such cases, fire brigades have key role, as they are the first to approach the injured person using specialized equipment and techniques rescue operations involving deep diving, the use of safety systems and communication with the person at the bottom of the well. The operational course of the rescue begins with a quick assessment of the terrain, then securing the intervention site, organizing equipment and One or more members of the team are approaching the victim. Along with the firefighters, an important place They also have emergency medical care to take care of the victim, as well as the police and civil protection coordinate access and perimeter security. Every intervention requires precise implementation and real-time decision-making, as conditions on the ground often include collapsed walls, the presence of water, sludge or toxic gases.     U radu se analiziraju uzroci nastanka statičkog elektriciteta u radnom okruženju, njegova akumulacija i potencijalni rizici po sigurnost ljudi, uređaja i materijala. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na metode otkrivanja i sprječavanja elektrostatskih pražnjenja, kao i na korištenje osobne zaštitne opreme i tehničkih mjera elektrozaštite. Opisane su i situacije u kojima statički elektricitet može izazvati neželjene posljedice te su predložene mjere za njihovu prevenciju. Cilj rada je prikazati značaj kontrole i upravljanja statičkim elektricitetom kako bi se povećala sigurnost i učinkovitost radnog procesa.This paper analyzes the causes of static electricity generation in the workplace, its accumulation, and the potential risks it poses to the safety of people, equipment, and materials. Special emphasis is placed on methods for detecting and preventing electrostatic discharges, as well as the use of personal protective equipment and technical electroprotection measures. Situations in which static electricity may cause unwanted consequences are described, and measures for their prevention are proposed.     Cilj ovog završnog rada je društvena i geografska analiza Makarske uz održiva načela turizma. Makarska je grad koji se razvio u prirodnoj luci, zatvorenoj s jugoistoka rtom Osejava, a sa sjeverozapada poluotokom Sveti Petar. Posljednjih pedesetak godina grad se proširio i spojio s Velikim Brdom, Puharićima, Batinićima i Makrom, naseljima smještenima ispod planine Biokovo. Danas je to turističko središte s brojnim hotelima, vilama i pansionima, kvalitetnom i raznovrsnom ugostiteljskom ponudom te bogatim zabavnim, sportskim i kulturnim sadržajima. Smatra se da je Makarska dobila ime po obližnjem selu Makru. Prvi stanovnici područja današnje Makarske bili su Iliri, koji su još u 4. stoljeću osnovali naselje pod imenom Muccurum. Makarska ima mediteransku (sredozemnu) klimu. Ljeti se dnevne temperature kreću oko 30 °C, često i oko 35 °C, dok se noćne temperature kreću oko 25 °C. Zimske temperature su danju uglavnom između 10 i 15 °C, a noćne od 6 do 10 °C. Makarska je jedan od najtoplijih gradova u Hrvatskoj. Treba naglasiti da je Makarska jedno od najpoznatijih turističkih odredišta hrvatskog priobalja, privlačno zbog svojih prirodnih i klimatskih karakteristika, raznolike turističke ponude i gostoljubivih domaćina. Zadnje dvije godine najviše turista u Makarsku dolazi iz Poljske, Njemačke i susjedne Republike Bosne i Hercegovine. Makarska najviše svojih noćenja ostvaruje u privatnim smještajima, a kao i u većini primorskih gradova, prevladava sezonalnost, što znači da Makarsku najviše gostiju posjećuje tijekom ljetnih mjeseci. Isto tako, treba naglasiti da Makarska ima veliki potencijal za razvoj, iako je već svjetski popularna destinacija.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to conduct a social and geographical analysis of Makarska in line with sustainable tourism principles. Makarska is a town that developed around a natural harbor, it is bordered to the southeast by the Osejava Cape and to the northwest by the Sveti Petar Peninsula. Over the last fifty years, the town has expanded and merged with the nearby settlements of Veliko Brdo, Puharići, Batinići, and Makar, all situated at the foot of the Biokovo Mountain. Today, Makarska is a tourist center offering numerous hotels, villas, and guesthouses, along with a diverse and high-quality hospitality scene, as well as rich entertainment, sports, and cultural amenities. The name "Makarska" is believed to have originated from the nearby village of Makar. The first inhabitants of the area now known as Makarska were the Illyrians, who established a settlement called Muccurum as early as the 4th century. Makarska has a Mediterranean climate. During the summer, daytime temperatures typically reach around 30°C, often rising to 35°C, while nighttime temperatures hover around 25°C. Winter daytime temperatures usually range between 10 and 15°C, with nighttime temperatures from 6 to 10°C. Makarska is among the warmest towns in Croatia. It should be emphasized that Makarska is one of the most renowned tourist destinations along the Croatian coast, attracting visitors with its natural and climatic characteristics, diverse tourism offerings, and hospitable locals. In the last two years, most visitors to Makarska have come from Poland, Germany, and the neighboring Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The majority of overnight stays are recorded in private accommodations, and as in most coastal towns, tourism in Makarska is highly seasonal, with the peak occurring during the summer months.     Aditivna tehnologija je dio proizvodnoga strojarstva koji se bavi izradom predmeta nanošenjem čestica u tankim slojevima. Razvoj aditivne tehnologije je započeo osamdesetih godina dvadesetog stoljeća te je brzo postao popularan zbog brzine, jednostavnosti i relativno niske cijene. Najpoznatiji postupak aditivne tehnologije je taložno očvršćivanje (FDM) koji je i korišten za eksperimentalni dio ovog rada. Rad se sastoji od teorijskog i eksperimentalnog dijela. U teorijskom dijelu objašnjeni su razvoj i podjela aditivnih tehnologija, dostupni materijali za aditivnu tehnologiju, mehanička svojstva ljudskog tkiva i materijali odabrani za potrebe istraživanja. Eksperimentalni dio se sastoji od opisa ispisivanja epruveta na 3D pisaču, ispitivanja na kidalici te analize rezultata i usporedbe s mehaničkim svojstvima ljudskim tkivima sluznice usne šupljine.Additive technology is a part of production engineering that deals with the creation of objects by applying particles in thin layers. The development of additive technology began in the nineteen eighties and quickly became popular due to its speed, simplicity and relatively low cost. The most-known procedure of additive technology is fused deposition modeling (FDM), which was used for the experimental part of this thesis. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part explains the development and division of additive technologies, available materials for additive technology, mechanical properties of human tissue and materials selected for the research. The experimental part consists of a description of printing test tubes on a 3D printer, testing on a tear machine, analysis of the results and comparison with the mechanical properties of human mucosa in oral cavity

    K-9 SEARCH TEAM IN CROATIAN FIREFIGHTING

    Suočeni s potresima na području Grada Zagreba, Siska, Petrinje, Gline te ugroze gotovo na cijelom području RH od potresa nametnulo se osnivanje funkcionalne organizacije K-9 potražnih timova na nivou Hrvatske vatrogasne zajednice. Formirao se program obrazovanja i djelovanje K-9 timova na nivou Hrvatske vatrogasne zajednice. K-9 potražni tim ne djeluje samo u potresima, također djeluje pri svakom traženju i spašavanju nestale osobe. Psi tragači i vodiči su jako bitni u sustavu traženja i spašavanja unesrećenih osoba jer niti jedan stroj ili tehnika ne može se mjeriti u brzini, širini te točnosti pretraživanja kao potražni pas. Jako je bitno imati funkcionalan sustav djelovanja, a ponajprije izvrsnu obuku i trening. Odličan potražni tim nastaje konstantnom vježbom i edukacijom. Cilj ovog rada jest prikazati djelovanje K-9 tima te osposobljavanje vodiča i psa.Faced with earthquakes in the areas of the City of Zagreb, Sisak, Petrinja, Glina, and the threat of earthquakes affecting almost the entire territory of Croatia, the establishment of a functional organization of K-9 search teams at the level of the Croatian Firefighting Community became necessary. A program for the education and operation of K-9 teams was formed within the Croatian Firefighting Community. K-9 searching teams do not only operate during earthquakes; they also engage in every search and rescue operation for missing persons. Search dogs and their handlers are very important in the system of searching and rescuing injured individuals, as no machine or technology can match the speed, breadth and accuracy of a search dog. It is very important to have a functional operational system, primarily with excellent training and education. A great search team is formed through constant practice and education. The goal of this work is to present activity of the K-9 team and the training of handler and dog.
