    MEASUREMENT OF NOISE LEVELS IN ROAD TRAFFIC AND EVALUATION OF PROTECTIVE MEASURES

    Buka na prometnicama predstavlja jedan od najznačajnijih oblika okolišnog zagađenja u urbanim sredinama. Cilj ovog završnog rada je istražiti izvore prometne buke, metode njezina mjerenja, zakonski okviri koji regulira dopuštene razine buke, kao i njezin utjecaj na ljudsko zdravlje i kvalitetu života. U radu su analizirane karakteristike buke, razlikovanje prometnih izvora te faktori koji utječu na intenzitet zvučne emisije u prometnom okruženju. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na metode mjerenja buke i analiziranju dobivenih rezultata na konkretnim lokacijama na području Karlovačke županije. Rezultati istraživanja i analize pokazuju da su vrijednosti na određenim prometnicama često i iznad preporučenih granica, što može imati ozbiljne posljedice po ljudsko zdravlje, uključujući poremećaje spavanja, stres, smanjenju koncentraciju i ostalo. Prometna buka nije neizbježan prateći element urbanog života, već problem koji se može učinkovito ublažiti primjenom suvremenih inženjerskih rješenja i odgovornim planiranjem infrastrukture.Road noise is one of the most significant forms of environmental pollution in urban areas. The aim of this final paper is to investigate the sources of traffic noise, methods of its measurement, legal frameworks regulating permissible noise levels, as well as its impact on human health and quality of life. The paper analyzez the characteristics of noise, the distinction of traffic sources, and factors that influence the intensity of sound emissions in the traffic environment. Special emphasis is places on noise measurement methods and the analysis of the results obtained at specific locations in Karlovac County. The results of the research and analysis show that the values on certain roads are often above the recommended limits, which can have serious consequences for human health, including sleep discorders, stress, reduced concentration and more. Traffic noise is not an inevitable accompanying element of urban life, but a problem that can be effectively mitigated by applying moder engineering solutions and responsible infrastructure planning

    Predmet ovoga rada je analiza stanja OPG-a Domjančić i kreiranje tržišne marke kako bi proizvodi OPG-a postali više prepoznatljivina tržištu. Obitelj Domjančić bavi se prodajom bučinog ulja i prerađevina od buča golica. Bučino ulje je poznato po svojim brojnim zdravstvenim prednostima i širokoj upotrebi, nudi mnoge zdravstvene prednosti, uključujući podršku zdravlja srca, imunološkog sustava, prostate, kože i kose. Njegova primjena u kulinarstvu i medicini čini ga vrijednim dodatkom svakodnevnoj prehrani i rutini, te privlači potrošače koji traže zdrave prehrambene opcije. Zadatak ovog završnog rada je teoretski objasniti i prikazati cijeli proces nastanka marke. Navedeni su elementi marke i objašnjen pojam imidž i kako se gradi imidž marke te pozicioniranje marke na tržište. Na primjeru OPG Domjančić napravljena je SWOT analiza, PEST analiza i RECOIL analiza te plan lansiranja marke na tržište Državni poticaji, subvencije ili poticaji za poljoprivredu i proizvodnju mogu smanjiti troškovei poboljšati profitabilnost. Modernizacija tehnologije i procesa može poboljšati učinkovitost proizvodnje, smanjiti troškove i poboljšati kvalitetu proizvoda. Proširenje na nova tržišta, bilo na nacionalnom ili međunarodnom nivou, može otvoriti nove izvore prihoda i smanjiti ovisnost o trenutnim tržištima.Poljoprivreda kao djelatnost postoji oduvijek i bez nje svijet nebi mogao funkcionirati.The subject of this final paper is the analysis of the operations of the Domjančić family farm (OPG Domjančić) and the creation of a market brand with the aim of increasing the recognition of its products. The Domjančić family is engaged in the production and sale of pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin-based products made from Cucurbita pepo (hull-less pumpkin seeds). Pumpkin seed oil is well known for its numerous health benefits, including support for heart health, the immune system, prostate, skin, and hair. Its wide application in both culinary and traditional medicinal use makes it a valuable addition to everyday nutrition, especially for consumers seeking healthy food options. The goal of this paper is to theoretically explain and present the entire process of brand creation. The elements of a brand are discussed, along with the concept of brand image, how it is built, and how brand positioning is achieved in the market. Using OPG Domjančić as an example, SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, and RECOIL analysis were conducted, and a brand launch plan was developed. Government incentives, subsidies, and support programs for agriculture can significantly reduce production costs and improve profitability. The modernization of technology and production processes can further enhance efficiency and product quality. Expanding to new national or international markets opens additional revenue streams and reduces dependence on existing customer bases. Agriculture is a fundamental economic activity and plays a vital role in sustaining life and the economy-without it, the world could not function

    Zbog klimatskih promjena i porasta temperatura, šumski požari postaju sve češći, sezona požara se produžuje, a zahvaćena područja se šire. U Hrvatskoj su posebno pogođena rubna područja naselja gdje su požari raslinja sve učestaliji. Širenje naselja prema šumama povećava rizik od šteta poput propadanja usjeva i nestanka stoke te mogućnosti prelaska požara na stambene objekte (zatvoreni požari). Najčešći uzrok izbijanja požara je ljudska nepažnja – nepravilno zbrinjavanje otpada i lako zapaljivih materijala te neodgovorno ponašanje u okolišu. Prevencija kroz edukaciju i pravilnu primjenu mjera ključna je za smanjenje rizika, dok je u slučaju požara nužna brza i učinkovita intervencija obučenih službi kako bi se zaštitili ljudi, imovina i priroda.Forest fires are becoming increasingly frequent due to climate change, longer fire seasons, and the expansion of settlements toward forested areas. In Croatia, the most affected zones are those on the outskirts of towns and villages, where there is a high risk of crop destruction, loss of livestock, and damage to residential properties. The main cause of these fires is human negligence, including improper disposal of waste and flammable materials. Prevention through education and proper implementation of safety measures is essential, while in the event of a fire, a quick and effective response by trained emergency services is crucial to protect people, property, and the environment

    ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF A PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF A RADIAL-INFLOW TURBINE

    U ovom diplomskom radu opisan je matematički model za proračun preliminarne konstrukcije turbine s radijalnim ulazom radnog fluida (u daljnjem tekstu radijalna turbina) za rad u geotermalnoj elektrani. Elektrana je izvedena kao jednostavni Rankine-ov ciklus s organskim radnim fluidom (u daljnjem tekstu ORC). Definirani matematički model za preliminarnu konstrukciju radijalne turbine uključen je u matematički model geotermalnog ORC postrojenja u svrhu provođenja istovremene optimizacije parametara ORC-a i radijalne turbine. Funkcija cilja optimizacije je neto dobivena snaga postrojenja. Optimizacija je provedena za 6 kombinacija neovisnih varijabli optimizacije za slučaj da radijalna turbina nema difuzor i za slučaj da radijalna turbina ima difuzor. Proračun i optimiranje izvedeni su u programskom paketu EES (Engineering Equation Solver). Proračunom su definirane preliminarne vrijednosti geometrijskih veličina turbine. Analizom rezultata utvrđen je utjecaj pojedinih ulaznih varijabli na optimalnu radnu točku radijalne turbine i ORC-a, te na veličinu i učinkovitost turbine.In this master’s thesis, a mathematical model for preliminary design of a radial-inflow turbine (RIT) in a geothermal power plant is defined. The power plant is designed as a simple Rankine cycle with an organic working fluid (Organic Rankine Cycle, ORC). The defined mathematical model for the preliminary design of the RIT is integrated in the mathematical model of the geothermal ORC plant for the purpose of conducting simultaneous optimization of the parameters of the ORC and the RIT. The optimization objective function is the nett generated power of the plant. The optimization was carried out for 6 combinations of independent optimization variables for a turbine with a diffuser and a turbine without a diffuser. Calculations and optimization were performed using EES (Engineering Equation Solver) software. Preliminary values of the turbine geometry were defined by the calculation. The analysis of the results determined the influence of individual input variables on the optimal operating point of the RIT and ORC, as well as the influence on the size and efficiency of the turbine

    avršni rad sastoji se od teorijskog i praktičnog dijela. U teorijskom dijelu opisani su kompozitni materijali (podjela kompozita, mehanička svojstva matrice, materijali materice te materijali vlakana), proizvodnja ugljičnih vlakana, proizvodnja polimernih kompozita (naglasak na ugljična vlakna), u detalje su opisana ugljična (karbonska) vlakna (podjela prema mehaničkim svojstvima, vrste tkanja, svojstva karbona te primjena). Praktični dio sastoji se od ispitivanja epruveta od karbonskih vlakana na savijanje kako bi se utvrdila koja vrsta tehnologije zadovoljava izradu hydrofoil krila sa visokom savojnom čvrstoćom i stabilnošću (manji progib krila).The final thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes composite materials (division of composites, mechanical properties of the matrix, materials of the matrix and materials of the fibers), production of carbon fibers, production of polymer composites (emphasis on carbon fibers), and describes in detail carbon (carbon) fibers (division by mechanical properties, fabric types, carbon properties and applications). The practical part consists of testing the flexural carbon fibre test specimens to determine which type of technology is suitable for producing hydrofoil wings with high bending strength and stability (lower wing pitch)

    Ruralni turizam temeljen na kulturi i tradiciji sela od izuzetne je važnosti jer omogućava turistima da iskuse autentičan način života, povezan s prirodom i tradicijom određenog kraja. Kultura i tradicija sela čine temeljne komponente ruralnog turizma. Zapošljavanje lokalne radne snage, promocija tradicijskih zanata, organizacija folklornih manifestacija, te očuvanje starinskih kuća i običaja ne samo da pružaju turistima nezaboravna iskustva, već omogućuju i očuvanje neprocjenjive kulturne baštine. Upravo ti elementi čine ruralni turizam autentičnim i održivim jer se turistička ponuda ne oslanja na masovni turizam i uništavanje prirodnih resursa, već na sinergiju između prirodne baštine, lokalnih tradicija i turizma. Osim toga, odgovorni ruralni turizam ne stvara samo ekonomske koristi, nego ima i dugoročne pozitivne učinke na društvenu koheziju u ruralnim zajednicama. Održivost ruralnog turizma podrazumijeva ravnotežu između očuvanja okoliša, socijalne jednakosti i ekonomske aktivnosti. To znači da ruralni turizam može biti snažan pokretač razvoja u područjima koja su tradicionalno ekonomski slaba i demografski opustjela, stvarajući nove mogućnosti za mlade, promovirajući lokalne proizvode i pružajući podršku tradicijama koje čine specifičnost svakog kraja. S obzirom na globalne trendove u turizmu, poput sve većeg interesa za ekološki prihvatljive destinacije, ruralni turizam temeljen na održivosti i tradiciji nudi značajan potencijal za budućnost. Ova vrsta turizma ne samo da zadovoljava potrebe današnjih turista koji traže autentična i ekološki odgovorna iskustva, već stvara temelje za dugoročno očuvanje i razvoj ruralnih područja, što predstavlja izuzetno važnu komponentu u održivom razvoju društava. Razvoj odgovornog ruralnog turizma na temelju kulture i tradicije sela ključan je za očuvanje kulturne baštine, revitalizaciju ruralnih područja i stvaranje održivih turističkih destinacija. Svrha ovog rada je istražiti i analizirati razvoj odgovornog ruralnog turizma na temelju kulture i tradicije sela, s naglaskom na važnost održivosti i očuvanja kulturne baštine. Rad ima za cilj razmotriti kako ruralni turizam može doprinositi ekonomskoj revitalizaciji ruralnih područja, očuvanju lokalnih običaja, te stvaranju novih turističkih proizvoda koji će biti u skladu s načelima održivog razvoja.Rural tourism based on the culture and tradition of villages is of exceptional importance as it allows tourists to experience an authentic way of life connected with the nature and traditions of a specific region. The culture and traditions of villages are fundamental components of rural tourism. Employment of local labor, promotion of traditional crafts, organization of folk festivals, and preservation of old houses and customs not only provide unforgettable experiences for tourists but also enable the preservation of invaluable cultural heritage. These elements make rural tourism authentic and sustainable because the tourist offer does not rely on mass tourism and the destruction of natural resources but on the synergy between natural heritage, local traditions, and tourism. Furthermore, responsible rural tourism not only generates economic benefits but also has long-term positive effects on social cohesion in rural communities. The sustainability of rural tourism implies a balance between environmental conservation, social equality, and economic activity. This means that rural tourism can be a strong driver of development in areas that have traditionally been economically weak and demographically declining, creating new opportunities for young people, promoting local products, and supporting the traditions that make each area unique. Given global tourism trends, such as the growing interest in ecologically friendly destinations, rural tourism based on sustainability and tradition offers significant potential for the future. This type of tourism not only satisfies the needs of today's tourists who seek authentic and environmentally responsible experiences but also lays the foundation for the long-term preservation and development of rural areas, which is an essential component of sustainable societal development. The development of responsible rural tourism based on the culture and tradition of villages is crucial for the preservation of cultural heritage, revitalization of rural areas, and the creation of sustainable tourist destinations.     U ovom radu analiziraju se izazovi koji prate sve širu primjenu solarnih panela, s posebnim naglaskom na sigurnosne aspekte, tehničke izazove, te požarne opasnosti. Tržište fotonaponskih sustava bilježi snažan rast koji se očekuje i u budućnosti, čineći industriju proizvodnje struje preko sunčevih ćelija jednom od najbrže rastućih industrija. Međutim, uz masovnu primjenu fotonaponskih sustava pojavili su se i brojani sigurnosni izazovi. Brz razvoj tehnologije nerijetko nadmašuje brzinu prilagodbe zakona, pravilnika, tehničkih normi, što može rezultirati ozbiljnim posljedicama kao što su požari. Instalacija ovih sustava na različite tipove objekata donosi nove sigurnosne izazove, posebno na vatrogasnim intervencijama i samog gašenja. Ovaj rad daje pregled dodatnih opasnosti povezanih sa fotonaponskim sustavima, mjere za smanjenje rizika i pristupa koji omogućuju sigurno projektiranje i održavanje panela te neke zakonske regulative i primjere iz prakse.his paper analyzes the challenges that follow the ever-widening use of solar panels, with special emphasis on safety aspects, technical challenges, and fire hazards. The market for photovoltaic systems is experiencing strong growth that is expected to continue in the future, making the solar cell power generation industry one of the fastest growing industries. However, with the mass application of photovoltaic systems, numerous safety challenges have also appeared. The rapid development of technology often exceeds the speed of adaptation of laws, regulations, and technical standards, which can result in serious consequences such as fires. The installation of these systems on different types of buildings brings new safety challenges, especially on fire interventions and extinguishing itself.     Obični jelenak (Lucanus cervus) ubraja se među najveće i najpoznatije saproksilne kukce u Europi. Pripadnik je reda tvrdokrilaca (Coleoptera) i porodice Lucanidae, a posebnost mu daju izraženi spolni dimorfizam te značajna varijabilnost veličine i oblika mandibula kod mužjaka, što ga čini predmetom brojnih znanstvenih istraživanja. Njegov razvojni ciklus u potpunosti ovisi o šumskim ekosustavima, osobito o starom i raspadajućem drveću, zbog čega je važan pokazatelj ekološke ravnoteže šuma. Primarno stanište ove vrste su listopadne šume, no povremeno se može pronaći i u urbanim područjima, uključujući gradske parkove i privatne vrtove. Cilj ovog istraživanja je, metodom opažanja, utvrditi prisutnost običnog jelenaka (Lucanus cervus) na područjima dvije ekološke mreže; Motovunske šume te poluotoka Ubaša. Rezultati istraživanja, metodom opažanja prisutnosti običnog jelenaka, od lipnja do početka rujna 2024. godine, pokazali su dominaciju u brojnosti muškog spola prema ženskim jedinkama u Motovunskoj šumi. Primarna aktivnost mužjaka je let, s ciljem oplodnje što većeg broja ženki, dok su ženke uočene na tlu i u travi.The stag beetle (Lucanus cervus) is one of Europe's largest and most well-known saproxylic beetles. It belongs to the order Coleoptera and the family Lucanidae, with notable characteristics such as pronounced sexual dimorphism and significant variability in the size and shape of mandibles in males, making it a subject of numerous scientific studies. Its life cycle is entirely dependent on forest ecosystems, particularly on old and decaying wood, making it an important indicator of forest ecological balance. The primary habitat of this species is deciduous forests, although it can occasionally be found in urban areas, including city parks and private gardens. This study aims to determine the presence of the stag beetle (Lucanus cervus) through observational methods in two ecological network areas: the Motovun forest and the Ubaš Peninsula. Based on the observation method, research conducted from June to early September 2024 indicated a male- dominated population in the Motovun Forest. The primary activity of males was flying, with the goal of mating with as many females as possible, while females were mostly observed on the ground and in grass

    Poduzetništvom se razvijaju čovjekove sposobnosti. Kada poduzetnik pokreće svoj posao, u početku se susreće s problemima, no na taj način uči i dobiva određeno iskustvo. Za poduzetnika se može reći da je inovator jer postavlja ciljeve ispred sebe te ih pokušava na efektivan i efikasan način postići. Biti poduzetnik ima svoje prednosti i nedostatke. Jedna od najvećih nedostataka je ta što mora biti dostupan odnosno mora balansiraju između privatnog i poslovnog života 24 sata dnevno, a prednost je u tome što poduzetnik ima mogućnost kreirati svoje vrijeme i odluke donositi samostalno. Također u radu se objašnjava pojam inovacije, ali se prikazuje i inovacijska uspješnost u Republici Hrvatskoj. Ovaj završni rad na praktičnom primjeru Rimac automobila prikazuje kako poduzetnik je inovator i koliko uspješan može biti.Entrepreneurship develops human abilities. When an entrepreneur starts his business, he initially encounters problems, but in this way he learns and gains certain experience. An entrepreneur can be said to be an innovator because he sets goals for himself and tries to achieve them in an effective and efficient way. Being an entrepreneur has its advantages and disadvantages. One of the biggest disadvantages is that he must be available, that is, he must balance his private and business life 24 hours a day, and the advantage is that the entrepreneur has the ability to create his own time and make decisions independently. The paper also explains the concept of innovation, but also shows innovation success in the Republic of Croatia. This final paper, using the practical example of Rimac cars, shows how an entrepreneur is an innovator and how successful he can be

    U ovom završnom radu analiziraju se najčešće opasnosti i rizici kojima su izloženi radnici na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima (OPG-ovima). Poseban naglasak stavljen je na korištenje poljoprivrednih i šumarskih strojeva, uključujući poljoprivredni traktor, šumarski traktor te najčešće korišteni priključci. Cilj je istaknuti ključne čimbenike koji utječu na sigurnost rada te predložiti praktične mjere za smanjenje rizika i povećanje zaštite zdravlja radnika. Rad također obrađuje važnost edukacije i primjene zakonskih okvira kako bi se osigurali sigurniji uvjeti rada u poljoprivrednoj i šumarskoj proizvodnji.This final paper analyzes the most common hazards and risks faced by workers on family agricultural holdings (FAHs). Special emphasis is placed on the use of agricultural and forestry machinery, including agricultural tractors, forestry tractors, and the most frequently used attachments. The aim is to highlight the key factors affecting work safety and to propose practical measures to reduce risks and enhance the protection of workers’ health. The paper also addresses the importance of education and the implementation of legal frameworks to ensure safer working conditions in agricultural and forestry production
