Strength and conditioning of anti-terorist police unit Lučko
U ovom diplomskom radu prikazuje se i razrađuje tema kondicijske pripreme posebnih profesija za koje se koristi izraz taktički djelatnik ili taktički sportaš. Policija, vojska, vatrogastvo i specijalne snage profesije su koje zahtijevaju određenu kondicijsku pripremljenost i posebna znanja za obavljanje svojih operativnih zadaća. Kada se govori o specijalnim snagama koje mogu biti vojne ili policijske, koristit će se termin specijalac, a misli se na pripadnike Antiterorističke jedinice Lučko. Glavni cilj ovog rada je analizirati poslove i zadaće ATJ Lučko te prikazati koje motoričke i funkcionalne sposobnosti kod specijalca moraju biti razvijene za izvršenje operativnih zadaća. Kroz dijagnostiku kondicijske pripremljenosti i standarde specijalnih postrojbi u svijetu usmjerava se u one vrijednosti koje su bitne za dugoročan i ustrajan rad. Prikazat će se važnost kontinuiranosti treninga radi prevencije ozljeda i dugoročne operativnosti specijalca. Metodikom kondicijske pripreme razvijaju se motoričke i funkcionalne sposobnosti koje su ključne za uspješnost u provođenju operativnih zadaća. Kondicijska pripremljenost specijalca mora biti na visokoj razini kroz cijelu godinu. Natjecanje za specijalca je „borba“ i operativna zadaća, koja može biti u bilo koje doba dana ili noći u nekontroliranim uvjetima. Kroz ovaj rad prikazat će se modeli periodizacije koji su prikladni i najbolje odgovaraju potrebama specijalaca.This graduate thesis shows and talks about fitness training for special occupations for which the term tactical worker or tactical athlete is used. These professions require a certain physical fitness and special knowledge to perform operational tasks, namely the police, army, firefighters and special forces. When talking about special units, which can be military or police, the term special forces will be used, which refers to members of the Lučko Anti-Terrorist Unit. The main goal of this work is to analyze the work and tasks of the Lučko Anti-terrorist Unit, and to show what abilities a special officer must develop to carry out operational tasks. Through diagnostics of fitness readiness and standards of special forces in the world, it focuses on those values that are essential for long-term and continuous work. The importance of continuous training for injury prevention and long-term operation of special forces will be presented. The fitness training methodology develops key motor and functional abilities that are necessary for the successful performance of operational tasks. The fitness training of the special forces must be at a high level throughout the year. The competition for a special officer is a "combat" and an operational task, which can be at any time of the day or night in uncontrolled conditions. This paper will show which periodization models are appropriate and most suitable for the needs of professionals
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING OF THE MARITIME POLICE, TRAINING OF TRANSHIPMENT TEAM MEMBERS
Pomorska policija uz svoje brojne redovne zadaće, kao što su kontrola i nadzor državne granice, sudjelovanje u spašavanju i traganju za osobama i plovilima, sanitetski prijevoz te pružanje pomoći drugim nadležnim službama, također se provode i akcije prekrcavanja na plovilo (eng. ,,boarding“) u cilju povećanja opće razine sigurnosti na moru (Strategija razvoja Pomorske policije, 2010). U cilju uspostave učinkovitog tehničkog nadzora i bolje koordinacije aktivnosti 24 sata tijekom cijelog tjedna te poboljšanja sposobnosti reagiranja na svaku prijetnju na području ukupnog morskog prostora i uzduž morske granice Republike Hrvatske, kroz specijalističke tečajeve obučavaju se članovi timova za prekrcaj (eng. ,,boardingteam“) unutar ustrojstvenih jedinica Pomorske policije. Osim tehničko-taktičkog dijela obuke specijalističkih tečajeva, policijski službenici prolaze i kondicijski dio obuke koji za cilj ima transformaciju gotovo svih sposobnosti policijskog službenika. Širok spektar motoričkih sposobnosti omogućava policijskom službeniku efikasnost tijekom prekrcaja na plovilo te ovladavanje plovilom primjenom policijskih ovlasti.In addition to its many regular tasks, such as monitoring and control of the stateborder, medical transport, participation in the search and rescue for persons and vessels, and providing assistance to other competent services, the Maritime Police also conducts boarding operations inorder to increasethe general safetylevels at sea (Development StrategyoftheMaritime Police, 2010). In order to establish effective technical supervision and better coordination of activities 24/7 and to improve the ability to react to any threat in the area of the total sea space and along the sea border of the Republic of Croatia, members of the boarding team swithin the organizational units of the Maritime Police are trained through specialist courses. In addition to the technical-tactical part of the training of specialist courses, police officers also undergo the fitness part of the training, which aims to transform almost all the abilities of a police officer. PROFESSIONAL CAREERS OF FORMER ATHLETES
Ovaj diplomski rad analizira utjecaj tjelesne aktivnosti na zdravlje i kvalitetu života te proučava povijesni i suvremeni razvoj ženskog sporta. Unatoč postignutom napretku u osiguravanju jednakih mogućnosti za žene u sportu, još uvijek su prisutni izazovi poput diskriminacije, nejednakih mogućnosti zapošljavanja i psiholoških pritisaka. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na koncept dualne karijere, koji uključuje stjecanje formalnog obrazovanja paralelno s bavljenjem sportom. Ovaj pristup pokazao se ključnim za pripremu sportaša na život nakon završetka sportske karijere. Rad analizira razloge za prestanak sportske karijere, uključujući zdravstvene, psihološke, financijske i socijalne faktore te istražuje izazove s kojima se sportaši suočavaju tijekom tranzicije iz profesionalnog sporta u civilni život. U radu se ističe važnost obrazovanja i planiranja aktivnosti za uspješan prijelaz sportaša u novu karijeru. Aktivno ulaganje u obrazovanje i razvoj osobnosti može značajno doprinijeti njihovom uspjehu izvan sportskog terena. Cilj ovog rada je pružiti detaljan uvid u profesionalne i osobne izazove s kojima se suočavaju vrhunski sportaši nakon završetka natjecateljske karijere te istražiti kako se mogu uspješno prilagoditi novim životnim uvjetima i ostvariti uspjeh u drugim područjima. Rad također nudi preporuke za podršku sportašima u tranziciji i ističe važnost sustavne pripreme za život nakon sporta.This thesis analyzes the impact of physical activity on health and quality of life and examines the historical and contemporary development of women’s sports. Despite the progress made in ensuring equal opportunities for women in sports, challenges such as discrimination, unequal employment opportunities, and psychological pressures still persist. Special emphasis is placed on the concept of a dual career, which involves obtaining formal education alongside engaging in sports. This approach has proven to be crucial in preparing athletes for life after their sports careers end. The paper analyzes the reasons for ending a sports career, including health, psychological, financial, and social factors, and explores the challenges athletes face during the transition from professional sports to civilian life. The importance of education and activity planning for a successful transition into a new career is highlighted. Active investment in education and personal development can significantly contribute to their success beyond the sports field. The aim of this paper is to provide a detailed insight into the professional and personal challenges faced by top athletes after the end of their competitive careers, and to explore how they can successfully adapt to new life conditions and achieve success in other areas. The paper also offers recommendations for supporting athletes in transition and highlights the importance of systematic preparation for life after sports
ANALYSIS AND COMPARISON OF DIFFERENT TRAINING PERIODIZATION METHODS IN SWIMMING
Diplomski rad pod nazivom Analiza i usporedba različitih metoda periodizacije treninga u plivanju pruža detaljnu analizu različitih metoda periodizacije treninga. Glavni fokus rada je na usporedbi tradicionalne i blok periodizacije, njihovim prednostima i nedostacima te utjecaju na treniranje plivača. Tradicionalna periodizacija je prikazana kao najčešće korišteni model koji uključuje razvoj više sposobnosti istovremeno kroz različite faze treninga poput bazičnog, specifičnog i natjecateljskog perioda. S druge strane, blok periodizacija se fokusira na uzastopni razvoj specifičnih sposobnost što je pokazalo bolje rezultate u nekim sportovima. Rad također naglašava važnost izbjegavanja pretreniranosti i balansiranja. U ovom radu također se predstavljaju rezultati upitnika u kojem se razmatraju mišljenja trenera o uspješnosti različitih metoda periodizacije i razlozima preferencija trenera.The thesis titled Analysis and Comparison of Different Training Periodization Methods in Swimming provides a detailed analysis of various training periodization methods. The primary focus of the work is on comparing traditional and block periodization, examining their advantages, disadvantages, and their impact on swimmer training. Traditional periodization is presented as the most used model, which involves the simultaneous development of multiple abilities through different phases of training, such as the foundational, specific, and competitive periods. On the other hand, block periodization focuses on the sequential development of specific abilities, which has shown better results in certain sports. The paper also emphasizes the importance of avoiding overtraining and maintaining a balanced approach. Additionally, the study presents the results of a survey that explores coaches' opinions on the effectiveness of different periodization methods and the reasons behind their preferences
Historical development of skiing techniques
U današnje vrijeme najpopularniji zimski sport je alpsko skijanje. Naime, nije uvijek bilo tako. Rijetko koji sport ima tako dugu povijest kao alpsko skijanje, koje dolazi još iz Kamenog doba. Skije su služile lakšem kretanju po dugom putu prekrivenom ledom i snijegom te u svrhe prijevoznog sredstva. Međutim, vrlo popularna činjenica je da se čovjek voli natjecati i pokazivati svoje najbolje sposobnosti te se tako počinje natjecati i u skijanju. S vremenom napreduje razvoj skijaške opreme, a uz to i skijaška tehnika (Modrić, 2009), na kojoj se uzastopno radi i nastoji ubrzati kretanje po snijegu. Skijanje seže u davnine, stoga je cilj ovog diplomskog rada je dati što veći broj relevantnih informacija o tome kako je ono zapravo nastalo, odakle ovaj popularan zimski sport te kojim tehnikama se došlo do popularne današnje carving skijaške tehnike.Nowadays, the most popular winter sport is alpine skiing. Of course, it wasn’t always like that. Few sports have such a long history as alpine skiing, which dates back to the Stone Age. Skis were used for easier movement on the long roads covered with ice and snow as a means of transport. However, it is a very popular fact that man likes to compete and show his best abilities, so he starts competing in skiing. Over time, the development of ski equipment progresses, and with it, ski technique (Modrić, 2009), which is continuously worked on and strives to speed up movement on snow. Skiing dates back to ancient times, so the aim of this paper is to provide a large amount of relevant information about how it actually originated, where this popular winter sport came from and what techniques were used to create today's popular carving ski technique
INTERESTS AND ATTITUDE OF THE CITIZENS OF SVETA NEDELJA REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER SPORTS CENTER AT THE RAKITJE LAKES
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kakvi su interesi i stavovi građana Svete Nedelje prema sportovima na vodi te postoji li podrška građana za izgradnju centra za sportove na vodi. Tjelesna aktivnost na otvorenom smatra se jednom od najboljih alata u prevenciji bolesti suvremenog čovjeka pa je u povezanosti s time razvoj sportova na vodi na području grada Svete Nedelje jedna važna komponenta u unapređenju zdravlja. Uzorak ispitanika sastojao se od 483 osobe u dobi od 18 do 90 godina od čega je istraživanju pristupilo 63,98% žena i 36,02% muškaraca koji stanuju na području grada Svete Nedelje. Uzorak varijabli sastojao se od 26 pitanja podijeljenih u 6 skupina pitanja: opći podatci o ispitaniku, razina tjelesne aktivnosti, iskustvo sa sportovima na vodi, centar sportova na vodi, uključivanje djece u sportove na vodi i sigurnost provedbe sportova na vodi. Analizom podataka, koja je provedena u programu Statistica 13 uz alate deskriptivne statistike i frekvencije čestica, utvrđeno je da su 354 osobe (73,29%) zainteresirane za bavljenje sportovima na vodi te da bi njih 367 (75,98%) voljelo probati neki od istih. Temeljem dobivenih rezultata zaključak je da stanovnici grada Svete Nedelje podržavaju ideju centra za sportove na vodi na jezerima u Rakitju te da ju smatraju ostvarivom. Rezultati ankete također pokazuju da bi velik broj ispitanika uključio svoje dijete u sportove na vodi (415; 85,92%), a kao najzastupljeniji sport u njihovim interesima ističe se veslanje u koje bi svoje dijete uključilo 324 ispitanika. Važno je napomenuti da stanovnici Svete Nedelje smatraju područje jezera u Rakitju sigurnim za provedbu sportova na vodi za populaciju (81,57%) te za djecu (77,43%).The goal of this research was to determine the interests and attitudes of the citizens of Sveta Nedelja towards water sports and whether there is support from citizens for the construction of a water sports center. Outdoor physical activity is considered one of the best tools in preventing diseases of modern man, so in connection with this, the development of water sports around the city of Sveta Nedelja is an important component in improving health. The sample of respondents consists of 483 people between 18 and 90, of which 63.98% of women and 36.02% of men who live in Sveta Nedelja joined the survey. The sample of variables consisted of 26 questions divided into 6 groups: general information about the respondent; level of physical activity; experience with water sports; water sports center; involving children in water sports; and safety of water sports. The data analysis, which was carried out in the Statistica 13 program with the tools of descriptive statistics and particle frequency, determined that 354 people (73.29%) are interested in water sports and that 367 of them (75.98%) would like to try some of the same. Based on the obtained results, the conclusion is that the residents of the town of Sveta Nedelja support the idea of a water sports center on the lakes in Rakitje and consider it achievable. The results of the survey also show that many respondents would involve their child in water sports (415; 85.92%), and the most represented sport in their interests is rowing, in which 324 respondents would involve their child. It is important to note that residents of Sveta Nedelja consider the area around the lake in Rakitje to be safe for water sports for the adult population (81.57%) and for children (77.43%)
The contribution of time spent in front of screens, self-assessed mental health and place of residence in explaining the level of physical activity of adolescents in the Zadar area
Cilj: Primarni cilj rada je ispitati doprinos vremena provedenog pred ekranima, samoprocjenjenog mentalnog zdravlja i boravišta u objašnjavanju ukupne tjelesne aktivnosti i tjelesne aktivnosti različitih razina u odnosu na boravište. Dodatno, željeli smo ispitati povezanost samoprocjene mentalnog zdravlja adolescenata, s njihovom razinom tjelesne aktivnosti i sklonošću sjedilačkom ponašanju u vidu korištenja raznih zaslona. Svrha je bila ispitati povezanost mentalnog zdravlja, odnosno psihičkih poteškoća s razinama tjelesne aktivnosti i sjedilačkim ponašanjem te boravištem. Sekundarni cilj rada se odnosi na validaciju hrvatske verzije Upitnika snaga i poteškoća (Bøe i sur., 2016; Ortuño-Sierra i sur., 2018; Svedin i Priebe, 2008), SDQ-Cro. Metode: Istraživanje obuhvaća 244 adolescenata iz srednjih škola u Zadru. Razina tjelesne aktivnosti procijenjena je dvjema stavkama SHAPES upitnika koje su usmjerene na sedmodnevno promatranje umjerene, odnosno intenzivne tjelesne aktivnosti, kao i sjedilačko ponašanje, to jest vrijeme provedeno pred ekranima. Mentalno zdravlje procijenjeno je hrvatskom verzijom SDQ-Cro upitnika koji sadrži 18 čestica grupiranih u četiri dimenzije koje se odnose na emocionalne probleme, probleme u ponašanju, hiperaktivnost i prosocijalno ponašanje. Rezultati: Utvrđeno je da učenici oba područja zadovoljavaju kriterije za fizičku aktivnost na dnevnoj razini, posebno u aktivnostima umjerenog intenziteta, dok uvelike premašuju preporučeno vrijeme zaslona. Razlike za te varijable u odnosu na boravište nisu utvrđene. Također, utvrđeno je da samoprocjenjeno mentalno zdravlje, vrijeme zaslona i boravište ne predviđaju razinu tjelesne aktivnosti za ovaj uzorak te da se nedostatna razina žustre tjelesne aktivnosti povezuje s izraženijim emocionalnim poteškoćama.Objective: The primary goal of the paper is to examine the contribution of time spent in front of screens, self-assessed mental health and place of residence in explaining total physical activity and physical activity of different levels in relation to place of residence. Additionally, we wanted to examine the connection between self-assessment of adolescent mental health, their level of physical activity and tendency to sedentary behavior in the form of using various screens. The purpose was to examine the connection between mental health and psychological difficulties with levels of physical activity and sedentary behavior and place of residence. The secondary aim of the work refers to the validation of the Croatian version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (Bøe et al., 2016; Ortuño-Sierra et al., 2018; Svedin and Priebe, 2008), SDQ-Cro. Methods: The research includes 244 adolescents from secondary schools in Zadar. The level of physical activity was assessed with two items of the SHAPES questionnaire, which are aimed at a seven-day observation of moderate or intense physical activity, as well as sedentary behavior, that is, the time spent in front of screens. Mental health was assessed with the Croatian version of the SDQ questionnaire, which contains 18 items grouped into four dimensions related to emotional problems, behavioral problems, hyperactivity and prosocial behavior. Results: Students in both areas were found to meet criteria for physical activity on a daily basis, particularly in moderate-intensity activities, while greatly exceeding the recommended screen time. Differences for these variables in relation to place of residence have not been established. Also, self-rated mental health, screen time, and residence were found not to predict physical activity level for this sample and that an insufficient level of vigorous physical activity is associated with more pronounced emotional difficulties
Differences in motor abilities between Croatian and Slovenian junior basketball players
Istraživanja razine pripremljenosti sportaša unapređuju trenažni proces ali i postupke selekcije mladih košarkaša. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati razlike u motoričkim sposobnostima i razini pripremljenosti hrvatskih i slovenskih košarkaša juniora. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzroku hrvatskih i slovenskih košarkaša juniora (N=30). Za procjenu bazičnih motoričkih sposobnosti koristili su se testovi: sprint na 5, 10 i 20 metara, koraci u stranu, bacanje medicinke 3kg iz sjeda, stisak šake i skok s pripremom (CMJ), a za procjenu specifičnih motoričkih sposobnosti koristili su se testovi: One minute shooting test i Sprint na 20 metara s loptom. Statistička analiza podataka izvršila se u programu Statistica 14 (TIBCO Software Inc., SAD). Utvrđivanje razlika u motoričkim sposobnostima hrvatskih i slovenskih košarkaša juniora koristila se analiza varijance (One way ANOVA). Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da se hrvatski i slovenski košarkaši statistički značajno razlikuju u jakosti i eksplozivnoj snazi tipa bacanja, dok se u drugim testovima općih i specifičnih motoričkih sposobnosti ne razlikuju. Ulaganje u razvoj motoričkih sposobnosti tijekom juniorskih godina može imati pozitivne efekte na karijere mladih košarkaša te bi ispitanici i treneri iskoristiti rezultate kao priliku za unapređenje sposobnosti i postizanje odličnih rezultata.Research on athletes' readiness levels improves the training process and the selection procedures for young basketball players. The aim of this study was to examine the differences in motor abilities and the level of readiness between Croatian and Slovenian junior basketball players. The study was conducted on a sample of Croatian and Slovenian junior basketball players (N=30). To assess general motor abilities, the following tests were used: 5, 10, and 20-meter sprints, lateral steps, 3kg seated medicine ball throw, hand grip, and countermovement jump (CMJ). For the assessment of specific motor skills, the One-minute shooting test and 20-meter sprint with the ball were used. Statistical data analysis was performed using Statistica 14 (TIBCO Software Inc., USA). Differences in the motor abilities of Croatian and Slovenian junior basketball players were determined using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study show that Croatian and Slovenian basketball players differ significantly in strength and explosive power related to throwing, while no differences were found in other general and specific motor ability tests. Investing in the development of motor abilities during the junior years can have positive effects on the careers of young basketball players. The participants and coaches could use the results as an opportunity to enhance skills and achieve excellent results
Sports and recreational activites with a dog
Vježbanje sa psom stvara vezu između ljudi i životinja, pružajući osjećaj sreće, ljubavi i pripadnosti. Stoga ne čudi što sve veći broj ljudi uključuje svoje pse u svoje svakodnevne aktivnosti. Redovito vježbanje sa psom donosi mnoge prednosti i pomaže u održavanju zdravog i uravnoteženog načina života. Bez obzira na dob ili tjelesnu kondiciju, svi mogu pronaći oblik aktivnosti sa psom koji im odgovara i uživati u svim blagodatima koje to donosi.
Svrha rada je prikazati različite oblike aktivnosti sa psom kao suvremeni oblik sportske rekreacije ljudi svih dobnih skupina. Redovito vježbanje sa psom ima brojne dobrobiti te pruža osjećaj harmonije i unutarnjeg mira. U radu se prikazuje široki spektar različitih sportskorekreacijskih aktivnosti koje zajednički mogu provoditi ljudi sa svojim psom. Stoga se, pored informacije o potrebnoj opremi za bavljenje određenom sportsko-rekreacijskom aktivnošću,
daje i detaljan opis aktivnosti. Agility, trčanje sa psom, plivanje sa psom, joga ta pse, trening s lažnim plijenom te vožnja bicikla sa psom su samo neki od rekreacijskih sadržaja koji se mogu provoditi sa psom, a koji su obrađeni u ovom radu. Provođenjem ovih aktivnosti, vlasnici pasa kao i njihovi psi, imati će na raspolaganju nove sportsko-rekreacijske sadržaje koji će im omogućiti podizanje razine tjelesne aktivnosti.Exercising with a dog creates a bond between people and animals, providing a sense of happiness, love and belonging. Therefore, it is not surprising that an increasing number of people include their dogs in their daily activities. Regular exercise with your dog brings many benefits and helps maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Regardless of age or physical fitness level, everyone can find a form of activity with a dog that suits them and enjoy all the benefits it brings.
The purpose of this final paper is to show different forms of activity with a dog as modern forms of physical recreation for people of all age groups. Regular exercise with a dog greatly improves well-being and provides a sense of harmony and inner peace. In this thesis, a wide range of different sports and recreational activities is presented that people and their dogs can do together. Therefore, in addition to the information about the necessary equipment for engaging in a certain sport and recreation activity, a detailed description of the activity is provided.
Agility, running with a dog, swimming with a dog, dog yoga, dummy training and riding a bicycle with a dog are just some of recreational activities that can be done with a dog, which will be covered in this final paper. By implementing these activities, dog owners (and their
dogs) will have at their disposal new sports and recreation contents that will enable them to increase their physical activity level
PLAN AND PROGRAM OF THE ANNUAL CYCLE OF SPORTS PREPARATION OF TOP FLATWATER KAYAKER
U današnjem sportskom okruženju, gdje je konkurecija sve intenzivnija, optimizacija treninga postaje ključna za postizanje vrhunskih sportskih rezultata. Ovaj diplomski rad usmjeren je na analizu godišnjeg ciklusa sportske pripreme vrhunskog kajakaša na mirnim vodama. Cilj rada je pružiti sveobuhvatan uvid u strukturiranje treninga kroz različiti periode godišnjeg ciklusa treninga, s naglaskom na specifične metodološke pristupe koji omogućuju maksimalno iskorištavanje sportaševih potencijala. Kroz istraživanje i evaluaciju postojećih metoda treninga, kao i empirijskog rada s vrhunskim kajakašima, rad će rasvijetliti ključne aspekte planiranja i programiranja sportske pripreme, uključujući periodizaciju, prilagodbu intenziteta i vrste treninga, te fizičke i mentalne aspekte sportske pripreme.In today’s sports environment, where competition is becoming increasingly intense, optimizing training is crucial for achieving top athletic results. This thesis focuses on analyzing the annual cycle of sports preparation for elite flatwater kayakers. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive insight into structuring training across various periods of the annual training cycle, with an emphasis on specific methodological approaches that enable the maximum utilization of the athlete’s potential. Through the investigation and evaluation of existing training methods, as well as empirical work with elite kayakers, the thesis will illuminate key aspects of planning and programming sports preparation, including periodization, adjustment of training intensity and type, and the physical and mental aspects of athletic preparation
