Analysis of Pedestrian Zones in Urban Areas
U radu su uvodno opisane osnovne karakteristike pješačkog prometa, zakonski okvir te su navedene prednosti pješačenja i uloga pješačkog prometa kao dijela održivog i ekološki prihvatljivog prometnog sustava. Analizirano je stanje pješačkih zona u hrvatskim gradovima i u gradovima Europske unije s posebnim osvrtom na Grad Zagreb te je napravljena studija slučaja u gradovima Sisku i Slavonskom Brodu. Na temelju provedenih istraživanja i analize naveden je prijedlog mjera u vidu proširenja pješačkih zona u središtu gradova Siska i Slavonskog Broda.The study describes essential characteristics of pedestrian transport, the legal framework, the advantages of walking and the role of pedestrian transport as a part of sustainable and environmentally friendly transport system. The condition of pedestrian zones in croatian cities and in the cities of the EU with special reference to city of Zagreb is analyzed and case study in the cities of Sisak and Slavonski Brod was made. Based on the conducted research and analysis, implementing measures to expand pedestrian zones in the centre of cities of Sisak and Slavonski Brod are proposed
Possibility of Conducting an Accident Investigation Using GPS Tracking Devices
Nastankom prometne nesreće obavlja se očevid koji uključuje niz radnji koje je potrebno obaviti na precizan i kvalitetan način. Kako bi se unaprijedio proces obavljanja očevida potrebno je istražiti neke nove tehnologije i metode koje će pridonijeti tomu. Očevid prometne nesreće obavljaju ovlaštene osobe, sud ili neka druga ovlaštena ustanova koristeći se tehničkim pomagalima. U Republici Hrvatskoj oprema koja se koristi pri obavljanju očevida nije se duže vrijeme mijenjala i može se reći da je zastarjela u odnosu na kvalitetu novih tehnologija koje se mogu iskoristiti kako bi se taj postupak unaprijedio. Analiziranjem više metoda provođenja očevida na stvarnom primjeru dana je usporedba kao i prednosti i nedostatci istih.When a traffic accident occurs, an investigation is carried out, which includes a series of actions that must be performed in a precise and high-quality manner. In order to improve the process of conducting inspections, it is necessary to research some new technologies and methods that will contribute to this. Traffic accidents are investigated by authorized persons, the court or some other authorized institution using technical aids. In the Republic of Croatia, the equipment that is used in conducting inspections has not been changed for a long time and it can be said that it is outdated in relation to the quality of new technologies that can be used to improve this procedure. By analyzing several methods of conducting inspections on a real example, a comparison is given as well as their advantages and disadvantages
Optimizing Special Cargo Transport
U radu je napravljena analiza posebnosti postupaka eksploatacije i manipulacije sredstvima za specijalni teret te su formulirani mogući elementi optimiranja. U okviru studije slučaja prikazan je postupak prijevoza generatora vjetroelektrane. Zbog specifičnih logističkih zahtjeva u prijevozu specijalnih tereta, prijevozni je pothvat s organizacijskog, provedbenog i sigurnosnog aspekta bitno složeniji od prijevoza redovitih pošiljaka, stoga je potrebno optimalno planirati aktivnosti i potrebne resurse, upravljati provedbom prijevoznog pothvata, uključujući koordiniranje rada trećih osoba, kako bi se umanjili rizici i racionalizirali troškovi.The paper analyzes the specifics of the procedures of exploitation and manipulation of means for special cargo, and formulates possible elements of optimization. As part of the case study, the procedure for transporting a wind farm generator is presented. Due to the specific logistical requirements in the transport of special cargo, the transport venture is from the organizational, implementation and security aspect significantly more complex than the transport of regular shipments. It is therefore necessary to optimally plan activities and necessary resources, manage the implementation of the transport undertaking, including the coordination of the work of third parties, in order to reduce risks and rationalize the costs associated with it
Criteria evaluation model for dry port implementation
Suha luka predstavlja koncept proširenja kapaciteta pomorske luke i njenih usluga u unutrašnjosti. U suhoj luci mogu se pružati i dodatne logističke usluge koje su obično dostupne u luci, a koje nisu specifične za pomorsku luku. Dobro primijenjen koncept suhe luke može prebaciti teret s ceste na više energetski učinkovite vrste transporta koje su manje štetne za okoliš, smanjuju zagušenje u gradovima, čine rukovanje robom u lukama učinkovitijima i prijevoznicima omogućuju poboljšana logistička rješenja u zaleđima pomorskih luka. Suha luka je intermodalni terminal koji je cestovnim i željezničkim putem izravno povezan s morskom lukom i koji služi kao centar za pretovar pomorskog tereta prema unutrašnjim odredištima. Osim svoje uloge u prekrcaju tereta, suhe luke mogu sadržavati i prostore za skladištenje i konsolidaciju robe, održavanje kontejnera i usluge carinjenja. Dostupnost ovih objekata na suhoj luci oslobađa skladišni i carinski prostor na samoj pomorskoj luci. Suha luka može ubrzati protok tereta, stvarajući središnju distribucijsku točku. Suhe luke u unutrašnjosti mogu poboljšati kretanje uvoza i izvoza, premještajući dugotrajno sortiranje i obradu kontejnera u unutrašnjost, dalje od zagušenih pomorskih luka. Cilj istraživanja rada utvrđivanje je i vrednovanje čimbenika i kriterija kojima se definira potreba za uspostavom suhe luke. Predloženi model vrednovanja kriterija za uspostavljanje suhe luke verificiran je na primjeru pomorske luke Rijeka. Model uspostavljanja suhe luke potrebno je istražiti na razini cijelog transportnog lanca jer različiti sudionici imaju različite prioritete. Istraživanje je provedeno prema skupu čimbenika (s tehničkog, tehnološkog, organizacijskog, ekološkog, ekonomskog, informacijsko-komunikacijskog, zakonsko-regulatornog i dodatnog aspekta) koji utječu na izbor kriterija pri utvrđivanju potrebe uspostave suhe luke. Temeljem postojećeg i proširenog skupa kriterija identificira se potreba za uspostavom suhe luke. Rezultati ovog istraživanja primjenjivi su za poboljšanje procesa postojećeg intermodalnog transporta, kao i stvaranje tehnoloških te organizacijskih mogućnosti za njegov ubrzani razvoj.Dry port is a concept of expanding seaport’s capacity and its services inland. At a dry port additional logistics services can be provided, services that are usually available at a seaport as well as those that are not specific to a seaport. A well-applied dry port concept can shift cargo from the road to more energy efficient modes of transport that are less harmful to the environment, reduce congestion in cities, make goods handling at seaports more efficient and make it easier for carriers to improve logistics solutions in seaport hinterlands. A dry port is an intermodal terminal that is directly connected to the seaport by road and rail and serves as a centre for transhipment of sea freight to inland destinations. In addition to their role in cargo transhipment, dry ports may also contain facilities for the storage and consolidation of goods, provide maintenance of containers and customs services. The availability of these facilities and services at a dry port frees up storage and customs space at the seaport. A dry port can speed up the flow of cargo, creating a central distribution point. Dry ports can improve the movement of imports and exports, moving long-term sorting and processing of containers inland, away from congested seaports. The aim of the research is to determine and evaluate the factors that define the need for the establishment of a dry port. The proposed model is verified on the Seaport Rijeka. It is necessary to conduct a research on the dry port implementation model on the level of the whole transport chain because different stakeholders have different priorities. The research is carried out taking into consideration a set of factors (from technical, technological, organizational, ecological, economic, information-communication, legal-regulatory and specific aspect) which influence the choice of criteria in determining the need to establish a dry port. Based on the existing and expanded set of criteria, the need for the dry port implementation is identified. This presents the basis for the development of evaluation model criteria for the establishment of the dry port. The results of this study are applicable to the process of improving the current intermodal transport and the creation of technological and organizational capabilities for its rapid development
Estimation of Aerodynamic Characteristics of a Flying Wing
Završni rad obrađuje temu aerodinamičkih karakteristika letećih krila. Objašnjena je njihova povijest u svrhu razumijevanja početaka i motivacije za njihov razvoj. Za obradu podataka korišten je računalni program XFLR5. U njemu su napravljene aerodinamičke analize na odabranim aeroprofilima i modelu letećeg krila temeljenog na stvarnom zrakoplovu. Objašnjeni su osnovni aerodinamički principi važni za razumijevanje analiza i prikazivanje posebnosti, prednosti i nedostataka letećih krila u odnosu na klasične zrakoplovne konfiguracije. Također su iznijeti razlozi njihove upotrebe u vojne svrhe te zašto još uvijek nisu zastupljeni u civilnom zrakoplovstvu. Na kraju su prikazana završna razmatranja s budućim izgledima razvoja letećih krila.This paper deals with the topic of the aerodynamic characteristics of flying wings. A brief history of flying wings is first presented in order to understand their beginnings and the motivation behind their development. The program XFLR5 is used to perform aerodynamic analyzes on select airfoils and a flying wing model based on a real aircraft. The basic aerodynamic principles important to understanding the analyzes and showing the peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages of flying wings in comparison to normal aircraft configurations are explained. The reasons behind their use for military purposes and why they are still not present in civil sectors are also presented. In the end, the final considerations with the future outlook of the development of flying wings are presented
European Union air traffic before and during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic
Zračni promet Europe jedan je od najkompleksnijih i najprometnijih zračnih prostora u cijelom svijetu. Godina 2019. bila je najuspješnija godina zrakoplovne industrije, no pojava SARS-CoV-2 pandemije uvelike je promijenila sliku rasta zračnog prometa i dovela do dosad neviđenog pada zračnog prometa u cijelome svijetu. Iako još u siječanju 2020. godine postoji nastavak pozitivnog rasta prometne potražnje, a time i povećanje broja letova, već u veljači se vidi osjetan pad broja letova u zračnom prostoru. Svrha ovog završnog rada je prema podacima dobivenim iz programa NEST prikazati utjecaj pandemije Covid-19 na zračni promet država članica Europske unije i napraviti usporedbu zračnog prometa prije i tijekom pandemije.European air traffic is one of the most complex and busiest airspaces in the entire world. The year 2019 was the most successful year for the aviation industry, but the occurrence of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic greatly changed the picture of air traffic growth and led to by far an unseen drop in air traffic throughout the world. Even though in January 2020, there is a continuation of positive growth in traffic demand, and thus an increase in the number of flights, already in February a noticeable decrease in the number of flights in the airspace can be seen. The aim of this final paper is to show the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the air traffic of member states of the European Union and compare air traffic before and during the pandemic, according to the data obtained from the NEST program
Optimization of public suburban passenger transport in Zadar County
U ovom diplomskom radu se uz pomoć definirane metodologije rada analizira javni prigradski prijevoz putnika na području Zadarske županije. Na ovaj način je izrađena detaljna analiza 22 linije i 30 trasa prigradskog prijevoza u Zadarskoj županiji. Cestovni linijski prigradski prijevoz se analizira s obzirom na podsustave, a te analize su s obzirom na putničku potražnju, tehničke, tehnološke, organizacijske, ekonomske, ekološke i pravne. Uz pomoć navedene analize su utvrđene mjere i prijedlozi poboljšanja linijskog prigradskog prijevoza putnika u Zadarskoj županiji. Bez moderniziranja usluge i bez praćenja napretka tehnologije gubi se doticaj s mlađim putnicima. Zbog navedenog je izuzetno bitno dovesti sustav prijevoza na jednu novu i modernu razinu. Glavni cilj analize i optimizacije prigradskog prijevoza putnika je smanjenje troškova i povećanje prihoda. Povećanjem kvalitete prijevozne usluge i smanjenjem troškova postiže se zadovoljstvo građana, odnosno korisnika prijevoznih usluga.In this diploma thesis public suburban passenger transport in the Zadar County is analyzed with the help of a defined methodology. In this way, a detailed analysis of 22 lines and 30 routes of suburban transport in Zadar County is made. Road suburban transport is analyzed with regard to subsystems, and these analyzes are with regard to passenger demand, technical, technological, organizational, economic, environmental and legal. With the help of this analysis, measures and proposals for improving regular suburban passenger transport in Zadar County are identified. Without modernizing the service and without monitoring the progress of technology, contact with younger passengers is lost. Due to the above, it is extremely important to bring the transport system to a new and modern level. The main goal of the analysis and optimization of suburban passenger transport is to reduce costs and increase revenues. By increasing the quality of transport services and reducing costs, the satisfaction of citizens and users of transport services is achieved
Procedure for determining the initial airworthiness of a small self-built aircraft in accordance with a national standar
Zrakoplov iz samogradnje nije izgrađen od ovlaštenog proizvođača, već od amaterskog graditelja ili amaterske udruge na temelju zasebnih planova gradnje sukladno nacionalnim propisima. Utvrđivanje inicijalne plovidbenosti malog zrakoplova iz samogradnje podrazumijeva sve postupke koje je potrebno izvršiti uz priloženu potrebnu dokumentaciju sukladno nacionalnom propisu kako bi se zrakoplov smatrao plovidbenim tj. sposobnim za sigurnu zračnu plovidbu. Sposobnost za sigurnu zračnu plovidbu podrazumijeva da je zrakoplov opremljen svim nužnim i ispravnim uređajima i opremom. S obzirom da je stjecanje inicijalne plovidbenosti malog zrakoplova kojeg gradi graditelj vrlo složen proces, potrebne su i druge ovlaštene osobe koje svojim znanjem o gradnji zrakoplova pružaju graditelju svoju stručnu pomoć. Cijeli proces utvrđivanja inicijalne plovidbenosti malog zrakoplova je uz uloge svih potrebnih sudionika objašnjen u ovom radu.Self-built aircraft is not built by a certified manufacturer, but by an amateur builder or an amateur association on the basis of separate construction plans in accordance with national regulations. Determining the initial airworthiness of a small self-built aircraft implies all the procedures that need to be performed with the inclosed necessary documentation in accordance with national regulations in order for the aircraft to be considered airworthy, i.e. capable of safe air navigation. Capability of safe air navigation means that the aircraft is equipped with all necessary and correct devices and equipment. Given that the acquisition of the initial airworthiness of a small aircraft built by a builder is a very complex process, other authorized persons are needed who, with their knowledge of aircraft construction, provide the builder with their professional assistance. The whole process of determining the initial airworthiness of a small aircraft is explained in this paper with the roles of all the necessary participants
Processing of Performance Monitoring Data during the Aeroplane Operating Life
Praćenje performansi zrakoplova ključno je za prepoznavanje zrakoplova degradiranih performansi unutar flote. Podatci o performansama mogu se prikupljati ručno ili automatski, no Airbus promiče automatsko prikupljanje podataka za rutinsko praćenje performansi zrakoplova. U završnom radu podatci su prikupljani putem sustava ACARS – SITA i obrađeni putem programa APM u sustavu PEP. Podatci predstavljaju izvješće o performansama u krstarenju flote zrakoplova A319-112 Croatia Airlines za period od 1. 1. 2022. do 31. 3. 2022. Rezultati analize APM su faktor performansi i faktor goriva. APM izračunava odstupanje izmjerenih parametara od nominalnih vrijednosti koje su dane u knjizi proizvođača. Krajnji rezultat je razlika u specifičnom doletu koja predstavlja faktor goriva koji je ključan u politici planiranja goriva. To je kritični ulazni podatak u sustav FMS-a i planiranja leta. Pored faktora goriva, analizom se dobiva i faktor performansi kojeg piloti unose u jedinicu za kontrolu i prikaz.The monitoring of aircraft performance is essential for the identification of aircraft with degraded performance within the fleet. Performance data may be collected manually or automatically, but Airbus promotes automatic data collection for routine performance monitoring of aircraft. In the final paper, data were collected through the ACARS – SITA system and processed through the APM program within PEP system. The data presents a report on the fleet cruising performance of A319-112 Croatia Airlines for the period from 1. 1. 2022. to 31. 3. 2022. The results of the APM analysis are the performance factor and fuel factor. APM calculates the deviation of measured parameters from the nominal values given in the manufacturer's book. The final result is the difference in the specific range, which is a fuel factor that is essential in fuel planning policy. It is a critical input into the FMS system and flight planning. In addition to fuel factors, the analysis also produces the performance factor which pilots enter in to a control and display unit
Development of electric-powered road vehicles in freight transport
Vozila na električni pogon koriste električnu energiju za pokretanje. Tehničko – eksploatacijske značajke određuju namjenu i uvjete u kojima će se vozilo koristiti. Vozilo mora iskoristiti svoje najbolje performanse, a da se pritom kvarovi svedu na minimalnu razinu. Električni pogon je budućnost cestovnih teretnih vozila zbog smanjenja emisije štetnih ispušnih plinova, smanjenja buke, manjih zagađenja i veće pouzdanosti i pristupačnosti.Electric vehicles use electricity to start. Technical and exploitation features determine the purpose and conditions in which the vehicle will be used. The vehicle must make the most of its best performance, while reducing failures to a minimum level.
