Use of Turboprop Engine Powered Airplane in the Initial Military Flight Training Programme
Razvoj letačkih sposobnosti kadeta trebao bi biti u skladu s potrebama i očekivanjima
modernog bojišta. S obzirom na to da je Hrvatska ušla u eru borbenih zrakoplova 4.5 generacije,
razvija se i potreba za ozbiljnijom temeljnom letačkom vojnom obukom i to koristeći
turboppelerski zrakoplov Pilatus PC-9M.
Uvođenjem turbopropelerskog sustava u ovu fazu letačke obuke, omogućuje se
dinamičko okruženje i atmosfera koji su jedan od bitnijih faktora za razvoj osnovnih letačkih
vještina. Zahvaljujući prednostima ovog sustava kao što su brzina i akrobatske sposobnosti,
PC-9M kadetima skraćuje vrijeme prilagodbe u kasnijim fazama obuke, ali isto tako povećava
i učinkovitost temeljne obuke. Jednako tako važni parametri su i percepcije samih kadeta i
nastavnika letenja iz perspektive mentalnog opterećenja, stresa, brzine usvajanja i osjećaja
spremnosti.
Ovaj rad nastoji istražiti navedene segmente kroz analizu iskustava i stavova sudionika
temeljne obuke.The development of cadets' flight skills should align with the demands and expectations
of the modern battlefield. As Croatia enters the era of 4.5-generation fighter aircraft, the need
arises for a more advanced and rigorous basic military flight training program, utilizing the
turboprop aircraft Pilatus PC-9M.
By introducing the turboprop system at this stage of pilot training, a dynamic
environment is created—one of the key factors in developing fundamental flying skills. Thanks
to the advantages of this platform, such as speed and aerobatic capability, the PC-9M shortens
cadets’ adaptation time in later phases of training while also increasing the overall effectiveness
of the basic training program. Equally important, however, are the perceptions of both cadets
and instructors in terms of mental workload, stress, learning pace, and the sense of operational
readiness.
This thesis aims to explore these elements through an analysis of the experiences and
opinions of those participating in the basic training program
Analysis of the application of metal pallets in delivery on the effect of the distribution system
Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje korištenje metalnih paleta u sustavima dostave i ispituje
njihov učinak na učinkovitost i održivost sustava distribucije. Metalne palete privukle su
pozornost zbog svog potencijala da poboljšaju operacije opskrbnog lanca kroz trajnost,
mogućnost recikliranja i isplativost. Ova studija koristi sveobuhvatnu analizu za procjenu
primjene metalnih paleta u različitim distribucijskim sustavima, uzimajući u obzir čimbenike
kao što su transportna logistika, skladišne operacije i utjecaj na okoliš. Ispitivanjem studija
slučaja iz stvarnog svijeta i provođenjem simulacija, ovo istraživanje ima za cilj pružiti uvid u
prednosti i izazove povezane s integracijom metalnih paleta u mreže isporuke. Nalazi ove
studije doprinose dubljem razumijevanju uloge metalnih paleta u optimizaciji distribucijskih
sustava i nude preporuke za daljnje korištenje.This thesis investigates the use of metal pallets in delivery systems and examines their
effect on distribution efficiency and sustainability. Metal pallets have attracted attention for
their potential to improve supply chain operations through durability, recyclability and cost
effectiveness. This study uses a comprehensive analysis to evaluate the application of metal
pallets in different distribution systems, taking into account factors such as transport logistics,
warehouse operations and environmental impact. By examining real-world case studies and
conducting simulations, this research aims to provide insight into the benefits and challenges
associated with integrating metal pallets into delivery networks. The findings of this study
contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of metal pallets in the optimization of
distribution systems and offer recommendations for further use
Analysis of Traffic Signalling and Equipment in the City of Karlovac School Zones
Prometna oprema i signalizacija predstavlja osnovnu komunikaciju između dionika u
prometu i nadležnih za ceste, te im je cilj da pruže konkretne i nedvosmislene vizualne
informacije. Kvalitetnim izvođenjem, održavanjem, te primjenom mjera i metoda za smirivanje
prometa i povećanje sigurnosti uvelike se može utjecati na smanjenje stradanja u prometu,
naročito mladih i djece. Korištenjem specifične i uočljive prometne signalizacije, koja se koristi
samo u zonama škola i vrtića, skreće se pozornost vozaču na blizinu škole i povećani oprez.
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je analizirati prometne signalizacije u zonama škola grada Karlovca
te utvrditi njeno stanje. Na temelju provedene analize definirani su prijedlozi unaprjeđenja koji
se zasnivaju na primjeni različitih mjera testiranih u zemljama EU. U sklopu diplomskog rada
obuhvaćeno je tri osnovne škole (Osnovna škola Dubovac, Osnovna škola Grabrik i Osnovna
škola Dragojla Jarnević), te dvije srednje škole (Gimnazija Karlovac i Ekonomsko-turistička
škola Karlovac). Cilj istraživanja i rezultati ovog diplomskog rada odnose se na utvrđivanje
sigurnosti u zonama škola grada Karlovca, te pronalaska novih mjera i metoda koje bi se mogle
primijeniti te s njima utjecati na povećanje sigurnosti u zonama škola.Traffic equipment and signaling represent basic communication between road
authorities and traffic participants, and their goal is to provide concrete and unambiguous visual
information. Quality execution, maintenance, and the application of measures and methods to
calm traffic and increase safety can greatly influence the reduction of injuries in traffic,
especially young people and children. By using specific and noticeable traffic signals, which
are used only in the zones of schools and kindergartens, the attention of the driver is drawn to
the proximity of the school and increased caution. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the traffic
signals in the school zones of the city of Karlovac and to determine their condition. On the
basis of the conducted analysis, proposals for improvement were defined, which are based on
the application of various measures tested in EU countries. Thesis, three elementary schools
are included (Dubovac Elementary School, Grabrik Elementary School and Dragojla Jarnević
Elementary School), and two secondary schools (Karlovac Gymnasium and Economic-Tourist
School Karlovac). The aim of the research and the results of this thesis are related to the
determination of safety in the school zones of the city of Karlovac, and the finding of new
measures and methods that could be applied and with them influence the increase of safety in
the school zones
Road Network Analysis With Improvement Proposals of Intersections in the City of Nova Gradiška
U ovom radu analizirana je cestovna mreža grada Nova Gradiška te su nakon provedene analize
dani prijedlozi mjera poboljšanja odabranih raskrižja. Analizom postojećeg stanja raskrižja i
brojanja prometa u vršnom satu utvrđeni su nedostatci na pojedinim raskrižjima i to u vidu
prometne zagušenosti na sporednim privozima raskrižja u vršnim satima, nepreglednosti sporednih
privoza kod uključenja na glavne prometne tokove te povećanim brojem prometnih nesreća na
raskrižjima.
Prijedlog mjera poboljšanja odabranih raskrižja su rekonstrukcije raskrižja u raskrižja s kružnim
tokom prometa ili promjenom postojeće prometne regulacije u reguliranje prometnih tokova u
raskrižju pomoću svjetlosne prometne signalizacije.Master thesis analyzes the road network of the city of Nova Gradiška and proposes measures
to improve selected intersections. By analyzing the current state of the intersection and
counting traffic during peak hours, shortcomings were identified at certain intersections,
such as traffic congestion on the secondary approaches to the intersection during peak hours,
poor visibility of the secondary approaches when joining the main traffic flows, and an
increased number of traffic accidents at intersections.
The proposed measures to improve selected intersections are the reconstruction of
intersections into intersections with a roundabout or changing the existing traffic regulation
to regulate traffic flows at the intersection using traffic lights
The Impact of Autonomous Vehicles on Sustainability through the Smart City Concept
Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje utjecaj autonomnih vozila na održivost grada kroz koncept
pametnog grada. Pametni gradovi koriste tehnologije poput umjetne inteligencije, Internet
Stvari (engl. IoT - Internet of Things) i digitalne infrastrukture kako bi poboljšao kvalitetu života
svi građana. Autonomna vozila su ključni dio ove strategije jer optimiziraju prometne tokove,
smanjuju zagađenje i povećavaju sigurnost i digitalizaciju. Kroz ovaj diplomski rad predstavljen
je potencijal autonomnih vozila u konceptu pametnog grada. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati i
istražiti mišljenje građana oko autonomnih vozila u konceptu pametnog grada. Provedeno je
ispitivanje korisnika koje je pokazalo mišljenje različitih dobnih grupa prema implementaciji
autonomnih vozila u gradovima i problemima koji dolaze uz takvu tehnologiju.This paper explores the impact of autonomous vehicles on urban sustainability through the
concept of the smart city. Smart cities utilize tehnologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet
of Things (IoT), and digital infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for all citizens.
Autonomous vehicles are a key component of this strategy, as they optimize traffic flow,
reduce pollution and enhance both safety and digitalization. Thea im of this pape ris to present
and explore public opinion on autonomous vehicles within the concept of a smart city. A user
survey was conducted, revealing the views of different age of groups regarding the
implementation of autonomous vehicles in urban areas and the challenges associated with
such tehnology
Comparison of Thrust Indication of an Aircraft Jet Engine Using Rotation Speed and Engine Pressure Ratio
Ovim radom opisuju se osnovni pricipi rada turbo-mlaznog motora i njihova podjela. Također razmatra se i potisak mlaznog motora kao glavni faktor performansi mlaznog motora gdje su formulirani matematički izrazi za potisak. Posebna pozornost posvećuje se detaljnijem opisivanju načina indikacije potiska mlaznog motora pomoću dva primarna načina indikacije potiska, N1 brzine vrtnje niskotlačnog kompresora ili brzine vrtnje ventilatora kod mlaznih motora s visokim stupnjem optočnisti i pomoću omjera ukupnih tlakova motora (EPR), ispitujući njihova načela rada, prednosti i ograničenja.This thesis describes the basic principles of turbo-jet engine operation and their division. Jet engine thrust as a major factor in jet engine performance indication is being discussed where mathematical expressions for thrust are formulated. Particular attention is being put into describing the jet engine thrust indication methods in more detail using the two primary thrust indication methods, N1 low-pressure compressor speed or fan speed in high-bypass jet engines and using the engine pressure ratio (EPR), examining their working principles, advantages and limitations
Analysis of the receiving process in distribution warehouse
Skladišta su ključan element logističke infrastrukture i igraju važnu ulogu u opskrbnom
lancu. Učinkovitost skladišnih operacija unutar skladišta je od presudnog značaja. Stoga
je neophodno da se procesi unutar skladišta odvijaju što brže i bez suvišnih manipulacija,
uz održavanje visoke razine zaštite i sigurnosti robe te minimiziranje nepotrebnih
troškova.
Cilj ovog rada je analizirati trenutno stanje skladišnih procesa kroz praktični primjer kako
bi se identificirale mogućnosti za poboljšanje, povećanje radne učinkovitosti, skraćenje
trajanja određenih procesa i poboljšanje ukupnih operacija. Poseban fokus ovog rada
stavljen je na proces prijema robe.
Rezultati analize bit će prezentirani kroz prijedloge za poboljšanje procesa prijema robe.
Implementacija novih metoda dovest će do poboljšanja funkcija skladišta i smanjenja
troškova.Warehouses are a crucial element of logistics infrastructure and play a key task in
the supply chain. The efficiency of warehouse operations is of paramount importance.
Therefore, it is essential that warehouse processes are conducted as quickly as possible,
without unnecessary handling, while maintaining a high level of protection and security
for goods and minimizing unnecessary costs.
The aim of this paper is to analyze the current state of warehouse processes through
a practical example to identify opportunities for improvement, increase work efficiency,
reduce the duration of certain processes, and enhance overall operations. A particular
focus is placed on the goods reception process.
The results of the analysis will be presented through proposals for improving the
goods reception process. The implementation of new methods will lead to improved
warehouse functions and cost reduction
Analysis of Traffic Signalling on the TEM Roads in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County with a Proposal for Improvement
Prometna signalizacija, sastavljena od prometnih znakova, signalizacije i opreme na cestama,
ključan je element u prometnom procesu koji osigurava protočan i siguran prometni tok kroz
vođenje i kontrolu prometa. Adekvatnim postavljanjem prometne signalizacije postiže se
privlačenje pozornosti vozača kojim se daju jasne informacije za odgovornu vožnju. Naročito,
unaprjeđenje prometne signalizacije najpotrebnije je na mjestima smanjenje sigurnosti te na
prometnicama visokog prometnog značaja, odnosno na prometnicama TEM cestovne mreže.
Transeuropska mreža prometnica predstavlja mrežu najznačajnijih prometnih pravaca
Europske unije u koju spadaju i prometnice unutar Republike Hrvatske. U predmetnom
istraživanju analizirano je stanje prometne signalizacije i opreme na TEM cestama
Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, gdje su predložena prometna rješenja karakterističnih
lokacija s ciljem povećanja sigurnosti svih sudionika prometa.Traffic signalling, consisting of traffic signs, signalling and road equipment, is a key element
in the traffic process that ensures smooth and safe traffic flow through traffic management and
control. Adequate placement achieves attracting the driver's attention by providing clear
information for responsible driving. Namely, the improvement of traffic signals is most
necessary in places of reduced safety and on roads of high traffic importance, i.e. on roads of
the TEM road network. The Trans-European road network represents the network of the most
important traffic rights of the European Union, which also includes roads within the Republic
of Croatia. In this research, the condition of traffic signals and equipment on the TEM roads of
the Dubrovnik-Neretva County was analyzed, where traffic solutions for characteristic
locations were proposed with the aim of increasing the safety of all road users
The impact of aircraft separation methods on flight efficiency
Svake godine kontrola zračne plovidbe mjeri porast zračnog prometa. S time, sve je više
regulacija prometa te raste i potreba za efikasnijom primjenom različitih metoda razdvajanja
prometa, s naglaskom na održavanje iste razine sigurnosti. Takvih metoda ima tri te je ovaj
rad napravljen sa svrhom pokazivanja optimalnog rješenja konflikta zrakoplova. Za potrebe
izračuna mjerenih parametara korišteni su programi Thales Best te SimA. Simulacije su
odrađene na simulatoru Hrvatske kontrole zračne plovidbe (HKZP) u Velikoj Gorici.Every year air traffic control measures the increase in air traffic. With this, there is more
regulation of traffic and the need for more efficient application of different methods of
aircraft separation, with an emphasis on maintaining the same level of safety. There are
three such methods, and this thesis was made with the purpose of showing the optimal
solution for conflicting aircraft separation. Thales Best and SimA programs were used to
calculate the measured parameters. The simulations were performed on the simulator of the
Croatia Control in Velika Gorica
Analysis of Routing Protocols Using Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3 Software Tools
Računalne mreže čine ključan dio današnjice, te protokoli usmjeravanja omogućavaju
međusobno povezivanje i prijenos informacija između uređaja u tim mrežama, odnosno između
samih mreža. Protokoli usmjeravanja se razlikuju prema mnogim aspektima, te postoje
različitosti u njihovoj funkciji koje se mogu uspoređivati. Iz analize protokola usmjeravanja
obuhvaćenih ovim radom pobliže su vidljive različitosti među njima, te se usporedbom njihove
funkcije u različitim simuliranim scenarijima, unutar programskih alata Cisco Packet Tracer i
GNS3, može se doći do zaključka o različitosti pojedinih protokola usmjeravanja, te samih
programskih alata za simuliranje računalnih mreža.Computer networks form a crucial part of today's world, and routing protocols enable the
interconnection and transfer of information between devices within these networks, or between
the networks themselves. Routing protocols differ in many aspects, and there are differences in
their functions that can be compared. From the analysis of the routing protocols covered in this
paper, the differences among them become more apparent, and by comparing their functions in
various simulated scenarios using Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3, conclusions can be drawn
about the differences between individual routing protocols and the software tools used for
simulating computer networks
