    Model of the Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal in the Port of Rijeka

    Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je prikaz izrade modela unutar Chesscon programa. Kao predmet istraživanja korišten je Zagreb Deep Sea kontejnerski terminal u sklopu luke Rijeka. U radu su analizirani čimbenici konkurentnosti luke Rijeka kao kontejnerske luke te je dat uvid u postojeće kapacitete kontejnerskog prometa te povezanost s ostatkom globalnog kontejnerskog tržišta. Projekt izgradnje Zagreb Deep Sea kontejnerskog terminala je analiziran kroz sve faze njegove izgradnje, zajedno s prometnim vezama s lučkim zaleđem te kapacitetima prekrcajne mehanizacije koja će koristiti na terminalu. Prikaz izrade modela predmetnog terminala popraćen je analizom korištenih ulaznih i izlaznih podataka kako bi se što zornije dočarao izazov s kojim se susreće svaki operater kontejnerskog terminala prilikom planiranja i optimizacije pripadajućih tehničko-tehnoloških procesa.The subject of this diploma thesis is a presentation of the creation of a model within the Chesscon simulation program. The Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal which is an integrated part of the port of Rijeka was used as a case study. The paper analyzes the competitiveness factors of the port of Rijeka as a container port and provides insight into the existing container traffic capacity and connections with the rest of the world container market. Project of Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal is analyzed through all phases of its construction, together with traffic connections with the port hinterland and the capacities of handling equipment which will be used at the terminal. The aforementioned presentation is accompanied by an analysis of input and output data of the model to present the challenge that every terminal operator faces during the process of planning and optimization of the associated technical and technological container processes

    Zračni promet predstavlja ključnu komponentu suvremene globalne mobilnosti i gospodarstva, ali istovremeno i jedan od najizazovnijih sektora kada je riječ o sigurnosti i zaštiti. S obzirom na sve veću povezanost svijeta, povećanje broja putnika i kompleksnost međunarodnih putovanja, raste i potreba za učinkovitim mehanizmima identifikacije i kontrole putnika. Upravo u tom kontekstu razvijeni su strojno-čitljivi putni dokumenti, koji danas čine neizostavan alat u osiguravanju zaštite zračnog prometa. Uvođenjem strojno-čitljivih putnih dokumenata, uključujući strojno-čitljive putovnice, vize i osobne iskaznice, moguća je brža, preciznija i sigurnija obrada identifikacijskih podataka na graničnim prijelazima i unutar zračnih luka. Cilj ovog završnog rada je istražiti ulogu i značaj strojno-čitljivih putnih dokumenata u kontekstu zaštite zračnog prometa. Kroz pregled međunarodnih i nacionalnih regulativa, standarda i smjernica, analizirano je kako primjena strojno-čitljivih putnih dokumenata doprinosi učinkovitijem i sigurnijem sustavu nadzora i identifikacije putnika te se ističu prednosti u odnosu na tradicionalne metode identifikacije, s krajnjim ciljem jačanja zaštite civilnog zrakoplovstva i olakšavanja međunarodnog putovanja.Aviation is a key component of modern global mobility and economy, but at the same time one of the most challenging transport sectors when it comes to security and safety. Given the increasingly interconnected world, the increasing number of passengers and the complexity of international travel, the need for effective passenger identification and control mechanisms is also growing. It is in this context that machine-readable travel documents were developed, which today constitute an indispensable tool in ensuring aviation security. The introduction of machine-readable travel documents, including machine-readable passports, visas and identity cards, allows for faster, more precise and more secure processing of identification data at border crossings and within airports. The aim of this thesis is to present the role and significance of machine-readable travel documents in the context of aviation security. Through a review of international and national regulations, standards and guidelines, it is analysed how the usage of machine-readable travel documents contributes to a more efficient and secure system of passenger surveillance and identification, and the advantages compared to traditional identification methods are highlighted, with the ultimate goal of strengthening civil aviation security and facilitating international travel

    Behaviour Research of Motorized Vehicle Drivers in Bicycle Overtaking

    U ovom diplomskom radu istraženo je ponašanje vozača motoriziranih vozila prilikom pretjecanja biciklista na prometnicama namijenjenima mješovitom prometu. U svrhu prikupljanja podataka korišten je vlastito razvijen uređaj biciklistička crna kutija (Bicycle Black Box – BBB), pomoću kojeg je provedeno terensko mjerenje bočne pretjecajne udaljenosti na trima prometnim rutama u gradu Zagrebu. Analizom 680 zabilježenih pretjecanja utvrđeno je da vozači često ne održavaju preporučeni sigurnosni razmak prilikom pretjecanja biciklista. Uz analizu prikupljenih podataka, prikazan je i zakonodavni okvir Europske unije te država članica, pri čemu je zaključeno da Republika Hrvatska još uvijek nema propisanu minimalnu bočnu pretjecajnu udaljenost. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju na potrebu zakonskog normiranja takve udaljenosti radi povećanja sigurnosti biciklista u cestovnom prometu.This thesis investigates the behaviour of motor vehicle drivers when overtaking cyclists on roads designated for mixed traffic. For the purpose of data collection, a custom-developed device called the Bicycle Black Box (BBB) was used to conduct field measurements of lateral overtaking distance on three traffic routes in the city of Zagreb. The analysis of 680 recorded overtaking events revealed that drivers often fail to maintain the recommended safe distance when overtaking cyclists. In addition to the data analysis, the legislative framework of the European Union and its member states is presented, with the conclusion that the Republic of Croatia still does not prescribe a minimum lateral overtaking distance. The findings indicate the need for legal regulation of such a distance in order to improve cyclist safety in road traffic

    Ovaj rad obrađuje tematiku vezanu uz mjere kontrole pristupa u zaštiti zračnog prometa. Zaštita u zračnoj luci je ključni aspekt cjelokupnog zračnog prometa i operacija zračne luke, to uključuje terminalne objekte, uzletno-sletnu stazu, hangare, skladišta, kontrolne tornjeve i druge osjetljive lokacije koje zahtijevaju visoke zaštitne standarde radi zaštite putnika, osoblja, zrakoplova i infrastrukture. Mjere kontrole pristupa u zaštiti zračnog prometa obuhvaćaju niz postupaka i tehnologija koje se primjenjuju kako bi se osigurala zaštita zračnog prometa, putnika, osoblja i infrastrukture zračnih luka. Ove mjere su dizajnirane kako bi se spriječio neovlašten pristup osjetljivim područjima te kako bi se detektirale i neutralizirale moguće prijetnje.The subject of this thesis are measures access control measures and in aviation security. Aviation security is a key aspect of all air traffic and airport operations, that includes terminal facilities, runways, hangars, warehouses, control towers and other sensitive locations that require high safety standards to protect passengers, personnel, aircraft and infrastructure. Access control measures in aviation security include the series of safety security procedures and technologies that are applied to ensure the safety of air traffic, passengers, personnel and airport infrastructure. These measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas and to detect and neutralize possible threats

    Smanjenje radnog volumena motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem je u automobilskoj industriji jedna od glavnih strategija za povećanje učinkovitosti i smanjenje emisija ispušnih plinova. Ugrađivanjem manjih motora s turbopunjačima i naprednim sustavima ubrizgavanja goriva se postiže ista ili veća izlazna snaga pri čemu se istovremeno smanjuje potrošnja goriva. Downsizing nudi brojne prednosti koje imaju veliki utjecaj na ekologiju jer smanjenje emisija CO₂ i bolja iskoristivost goriva pridonose boljem zadovoljavanju ekoloških normi i regulativa koje s vremenom postaju sve strože. S druge strane postoje i određeni izazovi poput većeg toplinskog opterećenja, mogućeg smanjenja trajnosti motora i stvara se potreba za složenijim sustavima hlađenja i podmazivanja. U radu su analizirani tehnički aspekti downsizinga, utjecaj na performanse i ekološku prihvatljivost te je prikazana usporedba s tradicionalnim motorima većeg obujma. Kroz analizu je prikazan utjecaj downsizinga na potrošnju goriva, emisija štetnih plinova i pouzdanost motora tijekom eksploatacije.Reducing the working volume of internal combustion engines is one of the main strategies for increasing efficiency and reducing exhaust gas emissions in the automotive industry. By installing smaller engines with turbochargers and advanced fuel injection systems, the same or higher power output is achieved while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption. Downsizing offers numerous advantages that have a great impact on the environment, as the reduction of CO₂ emissions and better fuel efficiency contribute to better compliance with environmental norms and regulations that are becoming increasingly strict over time. On the other hand, there are also certain challenges such as higher heat load, possible reduction in engine durability and the need for more complex cooling and lubrication systems. The paper analyzes the technical aspects of downsizing, the impact on performance and environmental friendliness, and presents a comparison with traditional engines of larger volume. The analysis shows the impact of downsizing on fuel consumption, emission of harmful gases and reliability of the engine during exploitation

    U suvremeno doba, pametne kuće u konceptu Interneta stvari značajno unaprjeđuju kvalitetu života pružajući korisnicima automatizaciju i daljinsko upravljanje različitim aspektima kuće. Postoje razni pametni kućanski uređaji koji se koriste u pametnim kućama. Iako donose mnogo prednosti, važno je obratiti pažnju i na izazove vezane uz sigurnost i privatnost, a posebno u kontekstu neovlaštenog prikupljanja podataka. Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje mogućnosti neovlaštenog prikupljanja podataka, analizirajući: princip rada IoT uređaja u okruženju pametne kuće, komunikacijske tehnologije koje se koriste, sigurnosne rizike i pitanje privatnosti korisnika, metode napada i programske alate napadača. Osim toga, analizirat će se ranjivosti uređaja u okruženju pametne kuće i prikazat će se rezultati istraživanja. Zatim će bit predstavljene metode zaštite pametne kuće.In modern times, smart homes in the concept of the Internet of Things significantly improve the quality of life by providing users with automation and remote control of various aspects of the home. There are various smart home devices that are used in smart homes. Although they bring many advantages, it is important to pay attention to the challenges related to security and privacy, especially in the context of unauthorized data collection. This thesis explores the possibilities of unauthorized data collection, analyzing: the principle of operation of IoT devices in the smart home environment, the communication technologies used, security risks and the issue of user privacy, attack methods and attacker software tools. In addition, the vulnerabilities of devices in the smart home environment will be analyzed and the results of the research will be presented. Then, methods for protecting the smart home will be presented

    Glavna uloga automatske detekcije prometnih prekršaja je osigurati poštivanje prometnih propisa i doprinijeti smanjenju broja teških prometnih nesreća. U tu svrhu koriste se napredni sustavi poput: RADAR-a, LIDAR-a, pametnog tahografa druge generacije i automatsko prepoznavanje registarskih oznaka (ANPR). Ovi sustavi omogućuju kontinuirani nadzor cestovnog prometa u stvarnom vremenu i u gotovo svim vremenskim uvjetima. U ovom radu analizirani su relevantni statistički podaci koji pokazuju potrebu za njihovom primjenom, zakonski okvir, te sami navedeni sustavi i njihovi načini rada.The main purpose of automated traffic violation detection is to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and contribute to the reduction of serious traffic accidents. To achieve this, advanced systems such as RADAR, LIDAR, smart tachographs version 2, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) are used. These systems enable continuous real time monitoring of road traffic under almost all weather conditions. This paper analyzes statistical data demonstrating the need for their implementation, the legal framework, as well as the systems themselves and their modes of operation

    U okviru analize prometne signalizacije na području grada Hvara, provest će se pregled prometnih znakova, horizontalne signalizacije i prometne opreme s ciljem utvrđivanja nepravilnosti i nedostataka u postojećem stanju. Ciljevi istraživanja obuhvaćaju analizu trenutačnog stanja prometnih znakova, signalizacije i opreme, s naglaskom na oštećene, zastarjele ili neadekvatno postavljene prometne znakove, kao i one koji nisu u skladu s Pravilnikom o prometnim znakovima, signalizaciji i opremi na cesti. Posebna pažnja posvetit će se znakovima postavljenima na nepreglednim lokacijama te problematičnim dijelovima horizontalne signalizacije. Prijedlozi novih mjera za postavljanje, obnavljanje, zamjenu ili uklanjanje prometne signalizacije na području grada Hvara usmjereni su na povećanje sigurnosti sudionika u prometu i poboljšanje protočnosti prometa.As part of the analysis of traffic signals in the area of the city of Hvar, an inspection of traffic signs, horizontal signaling and traffic equipment will be carried out with the aim of determining irregularities and deficiencies in the current state. The objectives of the research include the analysis of the current state of traffic signs, signaling and equipment, with an emphasis on damaged, outdated or inadequately placed traffic signs, as well as those that do not comply with the Ordinance on traffic signs, signaling and road equipment. Attention will be paid to signs placed in unobservable locations and problematic parts of horizontal signage. Proposals for new measures for the installation, renewal, replacement or removal of traffic signals in the area of the town of Hvar are aimed at increasing the safety of road users and improving the traffic flow

    Digitalizacija dokumentarnog prihvata i otpreme opasne robe u zračnom prometu predstavlja ključnu inicijativu za unapređenje učinkovitosti i sigurnosti. Završni rad se usredotočuje na optimizaciju procesa kroz primjenu digitalnih tehnologija radi smanjenja vremena i resursa potrebnih za dokumentaciju i kontrolnu provjeru. Analizom trenutnih procesa identificiraju se mogućnosti za smanjenje administrativnih troškova i poboljšanje sigurnosnih standarda. Pregled digitalnih tehnologija za prihvat i otpremu opasnih roba ukazuju na značajnu uštedu resursa i poboljšanje učinkovitosti u prijevozu opasnih roba zrakom. Nadalje, rad naglašava potrebu za daljnjim razvojem digitalnih rješenja kako bi se unaprijedila efikasnost i sigurnost u prijevozu opasnih roba u zračnom prometu. Osim toga, rad također ističe važnost suradnje između transportnog sektora i tehnoloških inovacija za osiguranje održivog razvoja i konkurentnosti na tržištu. Implementacija naprednih tehnologija pruža mogućnosti za stvaranje integriranih i efikasnih sustava upravljanja prijevozom opasnih roba, što dodatno poboljšava logističke procese zračnog prometa.Digitalization of documentation handling of dangerous goods in air transport represents a key initiative for enhancing efficiency and safety. The thesis is focused on streamlining processes through the application of digital technologies to reduce time and resources required for documentation and control checks. Analysis of current processes identifies opportunities for reducing administrative costs and improving safety standards. Overview of dacumentation handling technologies regarding dangerous goods indicates significant resource savings and enhanced efficiency in air transport of dangerous goods. Furthermore, the thesis emphasizes the need for further development of digital solutions to enhance efficiency and safety in air transport of dangerous goods. Additionally, it also emphasises the importance of collaboration between the transport sector and technological innovations to ensure sustainable development and competitiveness in the market. The implementation of advanced technologies provides opportunities for creating integrated and efficient dangerous goods transportation management systems, further enhancing air transport logistics

    Nacionalni plan oporavka i otpornosti (NPOO) predstavlja sveobuhvatan dokument koji definira ključne reforme i investicije potrebne za oporavak hrvatskog gospodarstva nakon pandemije COVID-19. Unutar ovog plana posebna pažnja posvećena je unapređenju prometne infrastrukture, s ciljem povećanja povezanosti, smanjenja emisija i jačanja konkurentnosti hrvatskog gospodarstva. Bavi se i područjem naplate cestarina u Republici Hrvatskoj. Eliminacijom fizičkih naplatnih kućica i uvođenjem automatske naplate očekuje se značajno smanjenje vremena provedenog u kolonama. Automatizacija procesa naplate smanjit će rizik od ljudske pogreške i potencijalnih nesreća. Novi sustav će se moći povezati s različitim modelima naplate. Također, bit će znatno ekološki prihvatljiviji u odnosu na postojeći sustav.The National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) is a comprehensive document that defines the key reforms and investments needed for the recovery of the Croatian economy after the COVID-19 pandemic. Within this plan, special attention is devoted to the improvement of transport infrastructure, with the aim of increasing connectivity, reducing emissions and strengthening the competitiveness of the Croatian economy. He also deals with the area of toll collection in the Republic of Croatia. The elimination of physical toll booths and the introduction of automatic tolling is expected to significantly reduce the time spent in queues. Automating the billing process will reduce the risk of human error and potential accidents. The new system will be able to connect to different billing models. Also, it will be significantly more environmentally friendly compared to the existing system
