    Analysis of Road Network in Krapina - zagorje County with Suggestions for Improvement

    Na temelju javno dostupnih podataka, prikupljenih za analizu Krapinsko– zagorske županije opisane su općenite informacije vezane za geoprostorni položaj i prostorno plansku dokumentaciju županije. Analizirano je postojeće stanje cestovne mreže te podaci o brojanju prometa na području navedene županije. Također, dane su mjere i prijedlozi poboljšanja utvrđene problematike postojećeg stanja cestovne mreže sa ciljem povećanja kvalitete i sigurnosti prometnica u Krapinsko-zagorskoj županiji.Based on publicly available data, collected for the analysis of the KrapinaZagorje County, general information related to the geospatial location and spatial planning documentation of the county is described. The existing state of the road network and data on traffic counts in the area of the mentioned county were analyzed. Also, measures and proposals were given to improve the established problems of the current state of the road network with the aim of increasing the quality and safety of roads in Krapina-Zagorje County

    U diplomskom radu obavljena je analiza čimbenika koji utječu na sigurnosti cestovnog prometa uz detaljnu analizu kočionih sustava i pneumatika vozila. Vozilo je jedan od veoma značajnih čimbenika sigurnosti cestovnog prometa a njegov utjecaj na sigurnost znatno ovisi o stanju i vrsti pneumatika i kvaliteti i stanju kočionog sustava. U slučaju nastanka opasnosti na cesti, uz brzinu i način reakcije čovjeka, kočioni sustav koji je ispravan i kvalitetno opremljen može itekako pomoći da se zaustavi što prije uz što veću stabilnost i upravljivost vozila bez slijetanja ili prevrtanja. Isto tako pneumatik, uz stanje kolnika, utječe na stabilnost, udobnost i upravljivost vozila te prenosi sve sile sa vozila na podlogu i sa podloge na vozilo. Pneumatik je jedini kontakt između vozila i podloge što itekako dolazi do izražaja kod motocikla. Dubina utora i tlak u pneumatiku ima značajan utjecaj na performanse pneumatika što se vidi i na putu kočenja. Također je obavljena analiza prometnih nesreća u Republici Hrvatskoj i analiza podataka prikupljenih sa tehničkog pregleda vozila.In the thesis, an analysis was conducted on the factors affecting road traffic safety, with a detailed examination of braking systems and vehicle tires. The vehicle is one of the most significant factors in road traffic safety, and its impact on safety greatly depends on the condition and type of tires, as well as the quality and condition of the braking system. In the event of a road hazard, along with the speed and manner of human reaction, a properly functioning and well-equipped braking system can significantly help in stopping the vehicle as quickly as possible while maintaining maximum stability and controllability, without skidding or overturning. Similarly, the tire, in addition to the condition of the road surface, affects the stability, comfort, and maneuverability of the vehicle, transferring all forces between the vehicle and the road surface. The tire is the only contact between the vehicle and the ground, which is particularly noticeable with motorcycles. The tread depth and tire pressure have a significant impact on tire performance, which is also evident in braking distance. Additionally, an analysis of traffic accidents in the Republic of Croatia was conducted, along with an analysis of data collected from technical inspection of vehicles

    Ovaj završni rad analizira planinska područja u Hrvatskoj kako bi se osigurala sigurna visina nadvisivanja terena u zrakoplovnoj navigaciji. Zbog raznolike i zahtjevne topografije Hrvatske, precizno određivanje minimalnih visina nad terenom ključno je za sigurnost letova. U radu se prvo definira pojam planinskog područja, uzimajući u obzir geološke i ekološke karakteristike. Zatim se opisuje korištenje GIS tehnologija za mapiranje i analizu terena, koje omogućuju prikupljanje i vizualizaciju geografskih podataka. Metodologija uključuje prikupljanje topografskih i geoloških podataka te implementaciju algoritama za automatsko prepoznavanje planinskih zona. Rezultati analize prikazani su kroz karte koje jasno identificiraju planinska područja, pružajući temelj za daljnje planiranje zračne navigacije i infrastrukture te sigurnost letenja.This thesis analyzes mountain areas in Croatia to ensure safe terrain clearance in aviation navigation. Due to Croatia's diverse and challenging topography, precise determination of minimum terrain clearance heights is crucial for flight safety. The thesis first defines the concept of mountain areas, considering geological and ecological characteristics. It then describes the use of GIS technologies for terrain mapping and analysis, enabling the collection and visualization of geographical data. The methodology includes gathering topographic and geological data and implementing algorithms for the automatic recognition of mountain zones. The analysis results are presented through maps that clearly identify mountain areas, providing a foundation for further planning of air navigation and infrastructure, as well as flight safety

    Processing and analysis of traffic load to increase the efficiency of the call center

    U ovom radu obrađuju se i analiziraju prikupljeni podaci radi provjere prometnog opterećenja pozivnog centra odnosno svrha ovog rada je analiza povijesno prikupljenih podataka iz pozivnog centra radi povećanja učinkovitosti pozivnog centra. Podaci koji su prikupljeni su: količina primljenih poziva, duljina trajanja poziva, broj aktivnih agenata te podatak u kojem vremenskom periodu je završen poziv. Dizajnirana je relacijska shema baze podataka u programu SQL Server Management Studio, u koju su spremljeni podaci. Cilj je utvrditi u kojem periodu se odvija najveći broj poziva, odnosno kad je prometno opterećenje pozivnog centra na vrhuncu, kako bi se pronašao način da se smanji prometno opterećenje pozivnog centra. Nakon analize podataka, dobiveni rezultati prikazani su u web-aplikaciji, a strojnim modelom predviđeno je buduće prometno opterećenje rada pozivnog centra.In this work, the collected data is processed and analyzed for the purpose of checking the traffic load of the call center, that is, the purpose of this work is to analyze the historically collected data from the call center in order to increase the efficiency of the call center. The data collected are: the number of calls received, the length of the call, the number of active agents and the information in which time period the call ended. A relational schema of the database was designed in the program SQL Server Management Studio, in which the data was saved. The goal is to determine in which period the largest number of calls takes place, that is, when the traffic load of the call center is at its peak, in order to find a way to reduce the traffic load of the call center. After the data analysis, the obtained results are presented in the web application, and the machine model predicts the future traffic load of the call center

    Optimizing the Transportation of Petroleum Products Secondary Distribution

    U uvjetima povećane potražnje za naftnim derivatima županija po mjesecima javlja se potreba za optimizacijom sekundarne distribucije kako bi se osigurala sigurna opskrba tržišta i zadovoljstvo kupaca uz optimalne troškove distribucije. Optimizacija sekundarne distribucije može se modelirati kao problem linearnog programiranja. U ovom je radu opisan problem sekundarne distribucije kompanije INA, d.d. kao zatvoren transportni problem i matematički modeliran kao problem linearnog programiranja te riješen uz pomoću programskog alata Excel primjenom rješavača i simpleks metode. U obzir su uzeta dodatna ograničenja o udaljenostima između skladišnih lokacija i županija koja definiraju broj dnevnih obrta autocisterni i kapacitete linija. Na osnovu navedenog izračunat je potreban broj autocisterni na pojedinim skladišnim lokacijama za svaki mjesec. Konačno, s obzirom na mjesečnu potražnju tržišta dodatno je optimizirano trčanje praznih autocisterni između skladišnih lokacija kako bi se efikasno iskoristili slobodni transportni kapaciteti.In conditions of increased demand for petroleum products across counties each month, the need arises to optimize secondary distribution to ensure secure market supply and customer satisfaction with optimal distribution costs. The optimization of the secondary distribution can be modeled as a linear programming problem. This paper describes the secondary distribution problem of the company INA, d.d. as a closed transportation which is mathematically modeled as a linear programming problem and solved using Excel with the application of Solver and the simplex method. Additional constraints regarding distances between storage locations and counties, which define the number of daily tank truck trips and line capacities, were considered. Based on this, the required number of tank trucks at each storage location for each month was calculated. Finally, considering monthly market demand, the running of empty tank trucks between storage locations was further optimized to efficiently use available transport capacities

    U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je uloga i utjecaj geografskog informacijskog sustava u cestovnom prometu Republike Hrvatske. Kvalitativno je provedena analiza utjecaja geografskog informacijskog sustava na sigurnost u cestovnom prometu. Kao dio završnog rada također su obrađeni globalni položajni sustav (GPS) i Gallileo. Rad je strukturiran u sedam glavnih cjelina koje obuhvaćaju teoretske osnove, praktične primjene te analizu uloge GIS-a u povećanju sigurnosti i efikasnosti prometa. Prva cjelina uvodi GIS kao ključnu tehnologiju za upravljanje prostornim podacima, uključujući modeliranje, prostornu analizu i kartografiju. Poseban naglasak stavlja se na kvalitativnu obradu podataka te upotrebu različitih koordinatnih sustava. U trećem dijelu razmatra se primjena GIS-a u upravljanju cestovnom infrastrukturom u Hrvatskoj. Analiziraju se projekti uvođenja GIS-a u cestovnu mrežu i na autocestama, što uključuje integraciju s postojećim prometnim sustavima. Četvrti dio rada fokusira se na globalne položajne sustave (GPS) i Galileo sustav, pružajući pregled njihovih tehničkih karakteristika, principa rada te primjena u civilnoj i vojnoj sferi. Diskutira se i o prednostima Galileo navigacijskog sustava. Peta cjelina analizira upotrebu GIS-a u različitim segmentima prometnog upravljanja, poput automatizacije signalizacije i izrade ortofoto prikaza. Detaljno su opisane primjene u prometnoj infrastrukturi i održavanju cesta. Šesti dio istražuje kako GIS tehnologija doprinosi poboljšanju sigurnosti prometa, kroz izradu sigurnosnih dijagrama i procjena opasnosti. Pruža se i pregled uloge GIS-a u smanjenju troškova održavanja infrastrukture. Detaljno je razrađena tematika razvoja geoinformacijskih sustava kroz povijest te njihova široka primjena u praksi.This thesis addresses the role and impact of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in road traffic management in the Republic of Croatia. A qualitative analysis of the impact of GIS on road traffic safety was conducted. The thesis also includes an examination of the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Galileo system. The work is structured into seven main sections covering theoretical foundations, practical applications, and an analysis of the role of GIS in improving traffic safety and efficiency. The first section introduces GIS as a key technology for managing spatial data, including modeling, spatial analysis, and cartography. Special emphasis is placed on qualitative data processing and the use of various coordinate systems. The third section explores the application of GIS in managing road infrastructure in Croatia. It analyzes the implementation of GIS projects within the road network and highways, including integration with existing traffic systems. The fourth part focuses on the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Galileo system, providing an overview of their technical characteristics, operational principles, and applications in both civilian and military spheres. The advantages of the Galileo navigation system are also discussed. The fifth section examines the use of GIS in various aspects of traffic management, such as the automation of signaling systems and the creation of orthophoto maps. Applications in traffic infrastructure and road maintenance are described in detail. The sixth section investigates how GIS technology contributes to improving traffic safety through the development of safety diagrams and hazard assessments. It also reviews the role of GIS in reducing infrastructure maintenance costs. The thesis thoroughly elaborates on the historical development of geoinformation systems and their wide-ranging practical applications

    Zaleđivanje zrakoplova predstavlja značajan izazov u zrakoplovstvu, jer naslage leda smanjuju uzgon i stabilnost te ugrožavaju sigurnost letenja. Razvijene su različite metode i sustavi koji omogućuju sigurno uklanjanje leda s površina zrakoplova, uključujući primjenu tekućina na bazi glikola, vrućeg zraka, infracrvenih grijača, te alternativnih tehnologija poput specijaliziranih robota za odleđivanje i zaštitu zrakoplova od zaleđivanja. S obzirom na sve strože ekološke standarde, zračna industrija usmjerena je prema održivijim rješenjima, kao što su metode bez glikola i inovativni sustavi za grijanje površina, koji poboljšavaju sigurnost i smanjuju kemijski otisak, te recikliranja upotrijebljenih tekućina kako bi se dodatno smanjio negativan utjecaj na okoliš i očuvala sigurnost i u uvjetima kada nije moguće izbjeći štetne materijale. Zrakoplovna industrija zajedničkim snagama pokušava pronaći rješenja koja bi u budućnosti kombinirala visoku učinkovitost, ekološku prihvatljivost i prilagođavanje međunarodnim standardima.Aircraft de-icing is a significant challenge in aviation, as ice buildup reduces lift and stability, compromising flight safety. Various methods and systems have been developed to safely remove ice from aircraft surfaces, including the application of glycol-based fluids, hot air, infrared heaters, and alternative technologies such as specialized de-icing robots. Given increasingly strict environmental standards, the aviation industry is shifting toward more sustainable solutions, such as glycol-free methods, innovative surface heating systems that enhance safety while reducing chemical impact, and fluid recycling to further minimize environmental harm and maintain safety when harmful substances cannot be entirely avoided. The aviation industry is working collectively to find solutions that, in the future, will combine high efficiency, environmental sustainability, and compliance with international standards

    U završnom radu student će analizirati prometnu mrežu na području Grada Ivanić-Grada. U prvom dijelu rada student će opisati geoprometni položaj i analizirati prostorno-plansku dokumentaciju Grada Ivanić – Grada. Prijevozna potražnja prikazat će se podatcima o brojanju prometa. U drugom dijelu rada analizom postojećeg stanja prometne mreže istaknut će se njezine prednosti i nedostatci. Za uočene nedostatke biti će predložene mjere za poboljšanje, a za kraj rada student će detaljno obrazložiti svoje prijedloge poboljšanja.In the final paper, the student will analyze the traffic network in the area of the City of Ivanić-Grad. In the first part of the paper, the student will describe the geotraffic position and analyze the spatial planning documentation of the City of Ivanić-Grad. Traffic demand will be presented with traffic counting data. In the second part of the paper, by analyzing the current state of the traffic network, its advantages and disadvantages will be highlighted. Measures for improvement will be proposed for the observed shortcomings, and at the end of the paper, the student will thoroughly explain their improvement proposals

    Utjecaj niskotarifnih zračnih prijevoznika na procese u putničkim terminalima zračnih luka očituje se kroz prilagodbu infrastrukture i organizacije rada. Cilj je postizanje učinkovitosti u skladu s poslovnim modelom koji se temelji na smanjenju troškova kroz optimizaciju operativnih procedura. Niskotarifni zračni prijevoznici zahtijevaju posebne prilagodbe u funkcioniranju zračnih luka, što uključuje bržu obradu putnika i prtljage, kao i smanjene troškove aerodromskih usluga. Rad obuhvaća analizu poslovanja niskotarifnih zračnih prijevoznika na europskom i hrvatskom tržištu, detaljno se razmatraju potencijalne strategije razvoja zračnih luka u kontekstu rasta prijevoznika, kao što su optimizacija infrastrukture, izgradnja namjenskih terminala te ulaganje u digitalizaciju i automatizaciju procesa. Ujedno, unutar rada prikazan je budući potencijal rasta niskotarifnih zračnih prijevoznika i njihove dugoročne implikacije na zračne luke, uz prijedloge za daljnji razvoj i prilagodbu aerodromskih kapaciteta.The impact of low-cost carriers on airport passenger terminal processes is evident through the adaptation of infrastructure and organizational operations. The goal is to achieve efficiency aligned with a business model that prioritizes cost reduction through optimized operational procedures. Low-cost carriers require specific adjustments in airport operations, which include faster passenger and baggage handling and reduced airport service costs. This paper analyzes the operations of lowcost carriers in the European and Croatian markets, with a detailed examination of potential airport development strategies in the context of carrier growth, such as infrastructure optimization, the construction of dedicated terminals, and investments in digitalization and process automation. Additionally, the study presents the future growth potential of low-cost carriers and their long-term implications for airports, alongside recommendations for further development and the adaptation of airport capacities

    Comparative Analysis of IP MPLS Network Service Quality Measurements

    U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je MPLS (engl. Multiprotocol Label Switching) tehnologija, koja danas igra ključnu ulogu u prijenosu paketa kroz mrežu. MPLS predstavlja nadogradnju tradicionalnog prijenosa paketa, čineći detaljnu analizu svakog paketa od strane usmjerivača nepotrebnom. Umjesto toga, koristi se metoda komutiranja oznaka, pri čemu se usmjeravanje paketa pojednostavljuje dodavanjem oznaka. Ova tehnologija omogućava značajna poboljšanja u kvaliteti usluge, uključujući visoku dostupnost, nisku latenciju i minimalan gubitak paketa. Diplomski rad detaljno opisuje značajke, razvoj i arhitekturu MPLS mreža, protokole korištene za prijenos podataka te osnovne dijelove mreže, kao i proces definiranja kontrole protoka paketa te prosljeđivanja paketa prema klasi. U istraživačkom dijelu rada provedena su mjerenja i analiza ključnih pokazatelja kvalitete usluga, kao što su propusnost, kašnjenje, gubitak paketa, varijacija kašnjenja, konvergencija i kontrole količine paketa (engl. Policing). Usporedna analiza obavljena je na temelju stvarnih podataka prikupljenih nakon provedenih mjerenja. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da MPLS mreže omogućuju veću efikasnost, bolju optimizaciju prometa i niže kašnjenje u usporedbi s tradicionalnim IP mrežama.In this thesis, MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology is discussed, which today plays a key role in packet transport networks. MPLS represents an upgrade to traditional packet transport, making the detailed analysis of each packet by routers unnecessary. Instead, it uses the method of label switching, where packet forwarding is simplified by adding labels. This technology allows significant improvements in the quality of service, including high availability, low latency, and minimal packet loss. The paper provides a detailed description of the features, development, and architecture of MPLS networks, the protocols used for data transport, as well as the fundamental parts of the network, and the process of determining the next hop and forwarding packets according to classification. In the research section of the thesis, measurements and analysis of key quality of service indicators such as throughput, delay, packet loss, jitter, convergence, and policing were conducted. A comparative analysis is performed based on actual data collected after the measurements were conducted. The research results show that MPLS networks provide greater efficiency, better traffic optimization, and lower latency compared to traditional IP networks
